Background The global prevalence of low back pain is gradually increasing, and it is the main cause of disability, sick leave, and unemployment, posing a heavy burden on individuals and society. Assessing the degree of disability in patients with chronic low back pain is crucial for evaluating the efficacy of clinical interventions and clinical epidemiology. The Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) is currently the main tool for evaluating disability in patients with low back pain, but the applicability of its measurement performance in the Chinese population remains unclear. Objective To evaluate the applicability of RMDQ in the Chinese population with low back pain and provide evidence for clinical practice and research application. Methods CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, SinoMed, PubMed, Embase and Web of Science were searched from inception to 2023-10-01, to establish a literature base for the performance of the low back pain scale, and then select research on the measurement performance of RMDQ from it. The measurement performance of the RMDQ scale was evaluated according to the COSMIN system evaluation guidelines, and the evidence evaluation level was used to grade the evidence. Results A total of six RMDQ documents were included, with insufficient methodological quality for RMDQ content validity and adequate measurement performance. The quality of internal consistency methodology was very good with uncertainty and measurement performance was adequate; the methodological quality of retesting was uncertain, and the measurement performance was sufficient; the methodological quality of measurement error was uncertain, and the measurement performance was sufficient; the methodological quality of criterion validity was uncertain, and the measurement performance was insufficient; hypothesis testing methodological quality was very good with uncertain, and the measurement performance was sufficient and uncertain; the quality of reactivity methodology was very good, with sufficient and insufficient, while the measurement performance was sufficient with insufficient. According to the GRADE evidence quality rating results, there is low quality evidence to prove uncertainty in content validity, and moderate quality evidence to prove sufficient retesting reliability and internal consistency; there is sufficient evidence of low quality to prove the measurement error and reactivity. There is very low quality evidence of insufficient calibration validity when using the Oswestry Dysfunction Index (ODI) and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) as calibrators; hypothesis testing had moderate quality evidence of uncertainty. Conclusion The methodological quality of the RMDQ scale is not high, with acceptable measurement performanceand low quality of evidence, and needs to be used cautiously in clinical practice or trials of low back pain in China. Although there is sufficient evidence of moderate quality to prove the reliability and internal consistency of retesting, the research content and methods are not standardized. In future research, attention should be paid to standardization to more accurately assess its applicability in the Chinese population.

This paper reviewed the hand scraping therapy combined with Baduanjin exercise for a patient with peripheral neurotoxicity and anxiety induced by oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy. The technique of hand scraping therapy, acupoint selection and method of Baduanjin exercise were summarized. Based on basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation, appropriate nursing techniques were carried out to relieve the numbness in both hands and negative emotion of patient, and ensure successful completion of chemotherapy. Background Low back pain (LBP) is the leading cause of hypokinesia globally. Currently, the reporting of outcomes in clinical trials for LBP lacks consistency, utility, and standardization, and the results of studies in the same field cannot be combined for comparison. Thus, the homogeneity and utility of outcomes need to be enhanced. Objective To assess the quality of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for LBP and their outcome reports, then to analyze the variations of reported outcomes and measurements among different interventions for LBP, and to explore homogeneous and practical outcome indices for LBP. Methods Four clinical trials registry platforms (Complementary Medicine Field Trials Register, Back and Neck Review Group Trials Register, ClinicalTrials.gov, WHO ICTRP) and seven databases (Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang Data, SinoMed, VIP) were searched for RCTs about LBP treated by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) , western medicine (WM) and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine (TCM-WM) published during 2017 to 2021. Information was extracted and analyzed descriptively. Results In total, 1 014 RCTs of LBP with WM treatment, 624 RCTs of LBP with TCM treatment, and 392 RCTs of LBP with integrated TCM-WM treatment were included. Overall, the quality of RCTs was low and the reporting of outcome in different interventions was deficient. Through our assessment, the total Jadad score was 2 (2, 4) for RCTs of LBP with WM treatment, 2 (2, 3) for RCTs of LBP with TCM treatment, and 2 (2, 2) for those of LBP with integrated TCM-WM treatment, with more than 50% of the RCTs having a total Jadad score of 2, and more than 10% having a Jadad score of 3. More than 80% of the RCTs had an outcome score of 1. The number of indices reported in RCTs about WM for LBP ranged from 1 to 8 (with a median value of 2) , and the top five outcome domains reported with frequency were pain level (28.2%) , physical function (28.0%) , hospital-related outcomes (8.0%) , economic indices (8.0%) , and adverse events/effects (8.0%) , and the top three scales used to evaluate outcomes were the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) /Verbal Rating Scale (VRS) , the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) , and Japanese Orthopaedic Association Score (JOA) . The number of indices reported in RCTs about TCM for LBP ranged from 1 to 6 (with a median value of 2) , and the top five outcome domains reported with frequency were pain level (45%) , physical function (27%) , others (14%) , overall quality of life (5%) , and musculoskeletal and connective tissue outcomes (2%) , and the main scales used included VAS/VRS, ODI, short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) , the Numerical Rating Scale/ Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NRS/NPRS) , Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ/RMD) , and 12-Item Short Form Health Survey/ 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-12/SF-36) . The number of indices reported in RCTs for LBP with integrated TCM-WM treatment was 1-12 (with a median value of 2) , and the top five outcome domains reported with high frequency were physical function (39%) , pain level (34%) , others (9%) , overall quality of life (5%) , and musculoskeletal and connective tissue outcomes (4%) , and the scales used with high frequency were VAS/VRS, ODI, JOA, SF-12/SF-36, RMDQ, and NRS/NPRS. The evaluation dimensions of outcomes for three interventions were all mainly based on pain level and physical function, and the measurements were focused on the VAS/VRS scale (WM: 22.16%, TCM: 32.97%, integrated TCM-WM: 30.94%) and the ODI/CODI scale (WM: 15.88%, TCM: 18.74%, integrated TCM-WM: 20.07%) , and the common outcome indices with corresponding measurements were pain level (VAS/VRS) , physical function (ODI/RMD) , overall quality of life (SF-12/SF-36) and imaging results (X-ray/CT/MRI) . Conclusion By means of quality evaluation and data analysis, the result showed that all RCTs for LBP and their outcome reports had low-quality. The main outcome assessments among three interventions were pain level and physical function, and the main measurements were the VAS/VRS scale and the ODI/CODI scale. Pain level, physical function, quality of life, and imaging results were commonly reported through varied interventions. In brief, the results provide a basis for the future construction of Core Outcome Sets (COS) and Intervention-related Specific Outcome Sets (In-SOS) for LBP.

Pericytes play important roles in retinal vascular mature and homeostasis. Their dysfunction is apathological manifestation in diabetes retinopathy. Circular RNAs have emerged as a class of regulatory RNA tran‐scripts and are involved in the regulation of several physiological and pathological processes. In this study, diabe‐tes-related stresses led to increased expression of circ_0001186 in pericytes but had no effects on the expression ofcirc_0001186 in endothelial cells. In vitro studies showed that circ_0001186 knockdown reduced high glucose-in‐duced pericyte injury, contributed to the proliferation of pericytes and the recruitment of pericytes to endothelialcells. In vivo studies showed that conditional knockdown of circ_0001186 in pericytes decreased diabetes-inducedpericyte loss, suppressed retinal vascular leak and inflammatory response. Mechanistically, knockdown of circ_0001186 could activate PDGF-PI3K-Akt signaling and protect pericytes against high glucose-induced injury. Thisstudy revealed a novel mechanism of retinal vascular dysfunction. Targeting of pericyte-expressed circ_0001186provides a novel insight into the treatment of diabetes retinopathy.

Based on the analysis of the hydrogeological data of the first mining area in Zhaoxian Coal Mine, by using the research methods of theoretical analysis, similar material test and numerical simulation, the separation layer of overburden strata and water in the mining process of extra-thick coal seam is predicted theoretically. The dynamic development characteristics of vertical and horizontal fractures are analyzed, and the development status of separation layer in the sequential mining of multiple working faces in extra-thick coal seam is discussed. The results show that there is a space for water to separate from the bed at 253.64 m away from the top of the No.3 coal seam; the vertical fracture height increases in two stages including linear growth and stepped growth in the process of the working face advance; the horizontal fracture alternately develops and closes from bottom to top, and the development height of the horizontal fracture is positively related to the advancing distance of the working face; the 0.02 m horizontal separation fissure appears under the Yijun formation caused by the mining of 1307 working face, and the opening of the separation fissure is further expanded or even increased sharply with the mining of 1305 and 1303 working faces in turn; the method of floor water inrush coefficient is introduced to evaluate the risk of separation water inrush in Zhaoxian Coal Mine.

In order to study the special case of down-going coal seam mining accompanied by step faults, the upper and lower working faces and step faults of Chaili Coal Mine are used here as research objects. Overlapping rock movements and their correlation during the close-coal mining process are simulated by similar material simulation tests. The stress variation law was studied, and the research results show that: there is a crack structure and three broken forms in the overburden in single coal seam mining; there is a significant difference between “trapezoidal space” and “triangular space” in the overburden mining in the upper and lower coal seams; coal mining as a whole has the characteristics of “falling with digging, without obvious cycle to step, and difficult to form a beam structure”; and when there is a fault, the transmission of pressure is often affected by the stress barrier of the fault, and the closer it is to the roof, the higher levels of stress concentration.

The graphene is used for inflaming retardant materials because of its special physical and chemical performance. In this article, the preparing methods of graphene and its composite materials are introduced. The mechanism of inflaming retardance is analyzed. The modification of graphene and its effect on inflaming retardance of composite materials are discussed. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs-exacerbated respiratory disease （N-ERD） is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by eosinophilic inflammation, featuring chronic rhinosinusitis （CRS）, asthma, and intolerance to cyclooxygenase 1 （COX-1） inhibitors. The use of these medications can lead to an acute worsening of rhinitis and asthma symptoms. This condition has not yet received sufficient attention in China, with a high rate of misdiagnosis and a lack of related research. The Chinese Rhinology Research Group convened a group of leading young experts in otolaryngology from across the country, based on the latest domestic and international evidence-based medical practices to formulate this consensus.The consensus covers the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment strategies for N-ERD, including pharmacotherapy, surgery, biologic treatments, and desensitization therapy. The Bcr-Abl oncogene is produced by the reciprocal translocation between c-Abl gene on chromosome 9 and the Bcr gene on chromosome 22 in human genome. The encoded Bcr-Abl fusion protein is responsible for the pathogenesis of certain human leukemias. Abelson murine leukemia virus (A-MuLV) is a retrovirus that could lead to transformation of B lymphocyte in mice, and v-Abl is the oncogene of A-MuLV. Abl oncoproteins (such as Bcr-Abl and v-Abl) play critical roles in tumorigenesis of certain cell types. Several signal transduction pathways, including JAK/STAT/Pim, PI3K/AKT/mTOR and RAS/RAF/MEK signaling pathway, are involved in Abl-mediated tumorigenesis. In addition, Abl-mediated tumorigenesis is associated with mutation or abnormal modification of key signal molecules as well as dysregulation of some critical long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). Here, we review the molecular mechanisms by which Abl oncogenes activate three major signaling pathways, and provide a scientific basis for therapy of Abl oncoprotein-induced tumors.

Objective: To explore the candidate disease causing gene for a case with floppy infant syndrome (FIS)., Methods: Single nucleotide polymorphism array (SNP array) was used for analyzing the whole genome copy number mutations in the proband. Multiple PCR combined with denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC) was employed to verify the suspected mutations in the proband and his family members., Results: A large duplication arr [hg19] Xq13.1: 67 987 646-73 805 828, which spans approximately 5.818182 Mb and encompasses 66 known genes, was identified in the proband. The multiple PCR-DHPLC assay confirmed duplication of HDAC8, PHKA1, TAF1, DLG3, KIF4A, IGBP1, PJA1 and SLC16A2 genes in the proband. His mother and grandmother both had duplication of the above genes in one X chromosome, but his aunt had not., Conclusion: The large Xq13.1 duplication identified by the SNP array probably underlies the FIS in this family. For its high-throughput, high resolution and capacity of automation, SNP array has provided a first line method for the genetic testing for infants featuring developmental delay with unknown reason, mental retardation, autism, multiple malformation and FIS.

Objective: To evaluate the anxiety and depression status of patients with nasal septum deviation before and after surgery, and explore the relationship between anxiety and depression and nasal symptoms., Method: By means of visual analogue scale (VAS) as the evaluation index of quality of life, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) were used to analyze statuses before and after surgery. The 98 patients with nasal septum deviation were collected., Result: The preoperative SAS/SDS scores of the nasal septum deviation patients were higher than those of the national standards. The level of anxiety and depression were lower than the national norm after treatment. The patients of the normal and moderate SAS/SDS scores felt better after surgery. The patients of the severe SAS/SDS scores felt the symptoms improve poor., Conclusion: Doctors should pay attention to the application of the SAS/SDS in patients of nasal septum deviation. Surgeon should actively communicate with severe patients in psychological problems, and strictly control the surgical indication of such patients.

The aticle briefly introduced the working principle and clinical applicability of Coblation. The application of Coblation promoted the improvement of traditional surgery and the generation of new operation, it is the most important to hold the indication of the operation strictly. This review summarized that and discussed the advantages and the notes of Coblation in operations of the pharynx and larynx.

To perform chiral separation of three flavonoid racemates, including dihydrodaidzein, equol and alpinetin, a simple and effective method was developed by using sulfobutyl ether-beta-cyclodextrin (SBE-beta-CD) as a mobile phase additive in HPLC system. The effects of different factors on the chiral separation were investigated, including cyclodextrin (CD) types (alpha-CD, gamma-CD, beta-CD, methyl beta-CD), CD concentration (5, 10, 20 mmol/L), pH value, nature of organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetonitrile) and phosphate buffer concentration. The analysis was carried out on a Kromasil 100-5C18 column (250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile and 10 mmol/L SBE-beta-CD aqueous solution( containing 20 mmol/L KH2PO4, at pH 4.0 adjusted with phosphoric acid) (20: 80, v/v). The flow rate was set at 1 mL/min, the column temperature was 25 degrees C, and the UV detections of dihydrodaidzein, equol and alpinetin were carried out at 276, 280 and 290 nm, respectively. The established method was able to separate the three racemates, and the resolutions of the enantiomers (dihydrodaidzein, equol and alpinetin) were 1.8, 1.9 and 1.4, respectively. This method might be applied to separate various types of flavanoid enantiomers in chemical structure.

Objective: To investigate the inhibitive role of lentivirus mediated MMP-9 gene silence in the growth of laryngeal cancer xenografts., Method: The nude mouse model of laryngeal squamous carcinoma was established and RNA interference (RNAi) technic was used. Recombinant MMP-9-RNAi-Lentivirus was intratumoral injected while the empty vector lentivirus was taken as control. After the treatment, tumor inhibitive effect was observed and western-blot was used to test the expression of MMP-9 in the xenografts. Finally, the PCNA expression in xenografts were examined with immunohistochemistry to evaluate proliferation change of the Hep-2 cells., Result: The average tumor weight was (1.484 +/- 0.391) g in group treated with MMP-9-RNAi-Lentivirus which was significantly lower than that (2.618 +/- 0.465) g in the control group (P < 0.05). The average tumor volume was (1.177 +/- 0.270) cm3 in group treated with MMP-9-RNAi-Lentivirus which was significantly lower than that (2.034 +/- 0.366) cm3 in the control group (P < 0.05) and the tumor inhibitive rate was 43.32%. Western-blot showed there were 7 cases of xenografts with MMP-9 protein negative expression and the other 3 cases were tested with weak positive expression in the treated group xenografts. Whereas all the 10 cases of xenografts were tested with MMP-9 positive expression in the control group. Immunohistochemistry showed PCNA index in treated group was (55.41 +/- 8.77)% which was obviously lower than that (77.04 +/- 6.91)% in control group (P < 0.01)., Conclusion: The growth and proliferation of laryngeal cancer could be inhibited by recombinant MMP-9-RNAi-Lentivirus.

Objective: To detect the expression of the glucocorticoid receptor-alpha (GR-alpha) mRNA in nasal polyp and normal nasal mucosa and investigate the significance of GR-alpha in progression of nasal polyp., Method: The expression of GR-alpha mRNA in 36 samples of nasal polyp and 31 samples of normal nasal mucosa was examined by using fluorescent quantitative PCR(FQ RT-PCR)., Result: The GR-alpha mRNA levels in normal nasal mucosa [(135.4 +/- 5.2) x 10(10) copy/g] were significantly higher than those in nasal polyp [(25.5 +/- 5.0) x 10(10) copy/g] (P < 0.01)., Conclusion: The low expression of GR-alpha mRNA in nasal polyp is related to the progression of nasal polyp.
