To promote scientific progress and optimize the utilization of natural plant resources that rich in selenium, the study selected selenium-rich Hibiscus manihot L. as the research object, using the HG-AFS to detect the selenium content in different plant organ samples, ultrasound assisted ethanol extraction of selenium containing organic active components from sunflower flowers, and obtaining the optimal extraction process by response surface methodology. At the same time, conducting antioxidant activity research on selenium containing extracts. The results showed that the total Se concentrations in different organs of Hibiscus manihot L., from highest to lowest were found in the leaves, fruits, flowers, roots, and stems, with concentrations of 21.99, 14.29, 12.93, 10.90, and 10.23 mg/kg, respectively. The RSM optimization results indicated that the ideal conditions for the extraction parameters were as follows: Extraction temperature of 40 °C, solid-liquid ratio of 1:60, extraction time of 40 minutes, ultrasonic power of 350 W, ethanol concentration of 50% (V/V), under one-time extraction. For the optimal conditions, the selenium extraction rate was 36.65%±0.65%. The DPPH antioxidant activity analysis showed a half-inhibitory concentration (IC50) value of 0.048 mg/mL (with a Se concentration of 0.79 μg/mL), the hydroxyl radical scavenging analysis showed that the maximum clearance rate was 97% when the extracts concentration was 8 mg/mL, and the IC50 was 0.56 mg/mL. The reducing power analysis showed that the reducing power of the extracts increases with the increase of the concentration, indicating that the extracts possess a good antioxidant capacity. The present study would provide empirical evidence to support the efficient use of selenium-rich Hibiscus manihot L. and the extraction of selenium-rich agricultural by-products. Studies on elemental fractionation and homogeneity of CGSG reference materials (CGSG-1, CGSG-2, CGSG-4 and CGSG-5) promote quality assessment and application. The elemental fractionation and within-unit homogeneity of CGSG reference materials were evaluated using Electron Microprobe and Laser Ablation-Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). Meanwhile, the major and trace element contents were also reported. The results showed that the elemental fractionation of CGSG reference materials was negligible for 50 μm spot size. Electron Microprobe homogeneity index illustrated that the homogeneity of major elements in CGSG reference materials is approvingly acceptable, and most trace elements possess same homogeneity grade with MPI-DING reference materials. Analytical results of major elements by Electron Microprobe and LA-ICP-MS are consistent with published data within 2% and 5% errors, respectively. Analytical results of trace elements by LA-ICP-MS are generally in agreement with the published data. Some elements such as Cr, Ge, Cd, As and Tl show a larger deviation due to the large uncertainties of the analytical technique. In general, the analysis data reported here could supplement the CGSG value database.

Lithium sulfide is the baric raw material for the synthesis of sulfur based solid electrolyte. Lithium sulfide was prepared by carbonization reduction method with lithium sulfate as raw material and sucrose as carbon source. The thermodynamic calculation and analysis of the pyrolysis reaction of lithium sulfate and carbon were carried out. The effects of reluctant type, carnation temperature and carnation time on the content of Li2 S in the product were investigated. The results show that the main reaction for the formation of lithium sulfide occurs when the calcination temperature is higher than 660 °C, and 700 °C, and there will be side reactions for the formation of Li2O and Li2CO3. Using sucrose as reducing agent, carbonization coating was carried out under argon protection, followed by high- temperature calcination and reduction. Lithium sulfide with Li2S content of more than 99% could be obtained by reacting at 675 C for 9 h and 775 C for 1. 5 h. Objective: To summarize the management experience of helicopter medical transport in patients with critical heart disease, so as to provide reference for transport of patients with critical heart disease under the background of major natural disasters., Methods: The clinical and transport data of 36 critically ill cardiac patients in Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from 16:30 on July 21 to 19:30 on July 22, 2021 due to historically rare heavy rainstorms were collected. All 36 critically ill cardiac patients were transported by helicopter. The safe transportation was implemented under the measures of quickly forming a transport leadership and coordination group, clarifying responsibilities and division of labor, doing a good job in the pretreatment of the patient's condition, pipeline assessment and mechanical circulation support (MCS) equipment, simulating and practicing the transfer process, improving the safety of the transfer implementation process, and effectively handing over with the target hospital. The gender, age, disease type, MCS, transport and outcome of patients were collected., Results: Thirty-six patients with cardiac critical illness were from adult extracardiac intensive care unit (ICU), adult cardiac care unit (CCU), children's CCU, comprehensive ICU and department of neurology. There were 24 males and 12 females; age (50.93±20.86) years old. There were 12 patients using respirator, 7 patients needing MCS, 2 of whom needed both extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and 7 patients with post-cardiac surgery. The total distance of transportation of 36 patients was 1 638.4 km, the transit time was 10.5 hours, one way flight time of helicopter was about 8 minutes, and the average transport time per patient was about 17.5 minutes. The vital signs of 36 patients during transport were basically stable, without complications, and all of them reached the target hospital safely., Conclusions: Under the seamless connection of the rapid establishment of the transfer leadership coordination group, assessment of the patient's condition and pretreatment, the simulation of the transfer process, and the effective handover with the receiving hospital, the use of helicopter for medical transport for critically ill heart patients is feasible and safe, which can buy valuable time for saving patients' lives and further treatment.

Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on pancreatic glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1 R), pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1 (PDX-1) protein expression and blood glucose in type 2 diabetes rats, so as to explore the underlying mechanism of EA treatment in improving type 2 diabetes., Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model group, "Weiwanxiashu" (EX-B 3) group, "Xinshu" (BL 15) group, and "Shenshu" (BL 23) group, 12 rats in each group. Diabetes model was established by feeding the rat with high fat and high sugar diet combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (35 mg/kg). All the EA groups received 2 Hz, 2 mA continuous wave treatment for 20 min everyday, 6 times per week lasting for 4 weeks. Fasting blood glucose was measured by Roche glucometer before and after treatment. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining and Masson staining were used to detect pancreas morphology. GLP-1 R and PDX-1 protein expressions in the pancreas were detected by Western blot., Results: Compared to the blank control group, fasting blood glucose was significantly increased in the model group( P <0.01), accompanied with shrunken islet area, reduced nucleus counts of islet β cells, and compensatorily enlarged β cell nucleus. Compared to the model group, EA intervention significantly reduced fasting blood glucose level only in the EX-B 3 group ( P <0.05), partly restored pancreas morphology and nucleus counts of islet β cells in the EX-B 3, BL 15, and BL 23 groups. Compared to the blank control group, GLP-1 R and PDX-1 expressions were decreased in the model group ( P <0.01), while EA treatment could obviously increase GLP-1 R expression in the EX-B 3( P <0.01), BL 15 ( P <0.01) and BL 23 ( P <0.05) groups compared with the model group. The expression of GLP-1 R in the BL 15 group was the highest among the three EA groups ( P <0.05, P <0.01), and that in the EX-B 3 group was higher than in the BL 23 group ( P <0.05).There were no signifincant differences in the expression of PDX-1 protein among the three EA groups ( P >0.05)., Conclusions: EA treatment at EX-B 3 can reduce blood glucose via regulating pancreas function, increasing pancreatic GLP-1 R expression, and partly restoring the morphology of pancreas.

Objective: To explore the self-esteem condition and influencing factors of college students in Shandong province., Methods: Adopting the method of stratified stochastic cluster sampling, 1500 students from seven universities in Shandong province were surveyed by The Self-esteem Scale of College Students and The Basic Status Questionnaire., Results: The self-esteem of college students had an average score of( 138. 49 ± 16. 56), it was in intermediate level. Significant difference in different grades( F = 10. 715, P < 0. 01) and genders( F = 5. 588, P < 0. 05) had been found. There was no significant difference in professions and residences on the self-esteem. The selfesteem of the singleton was higher than the non-singleton( F = 3. 114, P < 0. 01), and the college students live together with parents was higher than the single families' students( F= 5. 925, P < 0. 01). The self-esteem of the students who had high score( F = 6. 379, P< 0. 01) or were class leader( F = 5. 732, P < 0. 05) or take an active part in club( F =13. 446, P < 0. 01) or had healthy life-styles( P < 0. 05) was high., Conclusion: The self-esteem of university students have significant difference in genders, grades, singleton, family types, school scores and life-styles. There are no differences between different professions, residences or family finances on the self-esteem.

Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion interventions on ethology and 5-HT/5-HIAA levels in the frontal cortex tissue in depression rats, so as to reveal their biological mechanisms underlying improvement of depression., Methods: A total of 40 male SD rats were randomized into normal control, depression model, medication (Fluoxetine), acupuncture and moxibustion groups, with 8 rats in each group. The depression model was established by chronic unpredictable mild stress for 5 weeks. The interventions including acupuncture or moxibustion stimulation of "Baihui" (GV 20) and "Dazhui" (GV 14) for 20 min/d and intragastric administration of Fluoxetine (1.8 mg · kg⁻¹ · d⁻¹) beginning after 2 weeks of modeling for 3 weeks. The percentages of sucrose consumption was counted, the contents of 5-HT, hydroxyindole acetic acid (5-HIAA), tryptophan (Trp) in the prefrontal cortex tissue were assayed by radioimmunoassay, and the relative binding affinities (constant and capacity) of 5-HT1A receptor in the prefrontal cortex were measured by radioligand binding assay and Scatchard plot analysis in a computer. Results In comparison with the normal control group, the sucrose consumption percentage on the 35th day of modeling, the levels of cerebral cortical 5-HT, 5-HT/5-H1AA and 5-HT1A receptor binding constant were significantly down-regulated in the model group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and the cortical Trp content was obviously up-regulated in the model group (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, the sucrose consumption percentage on the 35th day of modeling, and cortical 5-HT/5-HIAA in the medication, acupuncture and moxibustion groups, cortical 5-HT content in the medication group were significantly increased (P< 0.01, P < 0.05), and cortical 5-HIAA and Trp contents were obviously down-regulated in the three treatment groups (P < 0.01). No significant changes were found in the cortical 5-HT content after acupuncture and moxibustion, and in the high and lower affinity of 5-HTA receptor binding constant and binding capacity after medication, acupuncture and moxibustion interventions (P > 0.05). The effects of acupuncture and moxibustion interventions were comparable in increasing sucrose consumption percentage on the 35th day and 5-HT/5-HIAA, and in down-regulating cortical Trp content (P > 0.05)., Conclusion: Both acupuncture and moxibustion can increase sucrose consumption (anti-depression) in depression rats, which may be closely associated withheir effects in up-regulating 5-HT/5-HIAA and down-regulating Trp content in the frontal cortex.

We present an extremely rare case of pleomorphic adenoma of the nasal septum in a 24-year old woman who went to consultation because of right nasal neoplasm. The radiologic discoveries by computerized tomography showed a tumor in the right nasal septum. Incisional biopsy was done, with a histopathological report of pleomorphic adenoma. Later, nasal endoscopy was used to remove the neoplasm and histology revealed pleomorphic adenoma of the nasal septum.

Objective: To observe the intervention effects of electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) on rats with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), so as to provide experiment references for acupuncture to treat T2DM., Methods: Among seventy male Wistar clean-grade rats, 8 rats were randomly selected into a control group; the rest rats were made T2DM model. Fifty-two rats which were successfully made T2DM model, according to randomized block method, were divided into a model group (10 rats), a medication group (10 rats), an electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (11 rats), an electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group (10 rats) and an electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group (11 rats). Seven days after successful establishment of model, the rats in the model group were fixed in the self-made rat bag without receiving any treatment; the rats in the medication group, according to body mass (10 mL/kg), were treated with intragastric administration of glimepiride; the rats in all the electroacupuncture groups were treated with electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23), "Pishu" (BL 20) and "Yishu" (EX-B 3), respectively. The continuous wave was selected with a frequency of 15 Hz and a current intensity of 4 to 6 mA. The treatment was given 20 min per treatment, once a day, 5 treatments per week for continuous 4 weeks. Before the establishment of model and continuous 4 weeks after the intervention, blood samples were collected from rats' caudal vein, and fasting blood glucose (FBG) was measured with FBG device each week. After the last intervention, the rats were killed and hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal gland were collected. The colorimetric method was applied to measure the contents of triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C); radioimmunoassay was used to test the contents of glycated serum protein (GSP), fasting insulin (FINS), corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortin (CORT)., Results: Four weeks after the intervention, except that the rat's body mass in the normal group continued to increase, body mass in the model group, medication group and each electroacupuncture group were significantly reduced (P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the FBG in the electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group and electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group were obviously reduced (P<0.05, P<0.01); FBG in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (both P<0.05). The contents of TG, HDL-C and LDL-C in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group were reduced (P<0.05, P<0.01), the content of TG was significantly lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (both P<0.05), the content of LDL-C was significantly lower than that in electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (P<0.05). Insulin sensitivity index (ISI) in the medication group, electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group and electroacupuncture at "Yishu (EX-B 3)" group were evidently increased (P<0.05, P<0.01); ISI in the medication group was lower than that in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group (P<0.05). The content of CRH in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Shenshu" (BL 23) group (P<0.05, P<0.01); the content of CORT in the electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) group was lower than that in the medication group and electroacupuncture at "Pishu" (BL 20) group (both P<0.05)., Conclusion: Electroacupuncture at "Yishu" (EX-B 3) could reduce the level of CORT to improve the insulin resistance in rats with T2DM, improve insulin sensitivity index, regulate blood lipid metabolism and relieve the hyperactivity of the HPA axis.

Objective: To analyze related risk factors of sepsis complicated acute kidney injury (AKI), and to explore the precaution equation for early clinical diagnosis., Methods: A retrospective review of patients with sepsis complicating AKI admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) of Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University from April 2011 to April 2013 were enrolled. Fifty-eight sepsis patients without AKI were enrolled as control. Eleven indexes including age, mean arterial pressure (MAP) score, sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) score, 24-hour urine volume, 24-hour net liquid intake score, serum creatinine (SCr) score, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), oxygenation index, blood lactic acid score and plasma albumin were collected as possible risk factors for AKI in sepsis patients. The risk factors and calculation of the critical value were analyzed by multiple factor logistic regression analysis., Results: Nine factors with statistical significance for AKI in sepsis patients analyzed with univariate analysis were substituted in logistic regression model including MAP score, SOFA score, APACHEII score, 24-hour urine volume, 24-hour net liquid intake score, SCr score, BUN, oxygenation index, blood lactic acid score. After variable screening SCr score, MAP score, 24-hour net liquid intake score and blood lactic acid score were substituted in regression equation: Y=0.237X1 + 0.139X2 + 0.057X3 + 0.051X4 (X1, X2, X3, X4 typified SCr score, MAP score, blood lactic acid score and 24-hour net liquid intake score), F=125.897, P=0.000. The diagnostic cutoff appeared as 0.778. The sensitivity, the specificity, the Youden index, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 80%, 100%, 0.8, 100% and 74%, respectively., Conclusions: SCr score, MAP score, blood lactic acid score and 24-hour net liquid intake score were risk factors of sepsis complicating AKI. When the value higher than 0.778 from regression equation Y=0.237X1 + 0.139X2 + 0.057X3 + 0.051X4, it hinted there was risk related to AKI in sepsis patients. The equation can help the clinicians diagnose sepsis and AKI earlier.

Objective: To investigate the influence of volume load on the prognosis of patients with sepsis induced acute kidney injury (AKI)., Methods: A retrospective study was conducted. Patients with sepsis induced AKI from intensive care unit (ICU) of Binzhou Medical College Hospital from October, 2009 to September, 2011, were studied. 28-day mortality, 28-day renal-recovery rate, ICU stay days and mechanical ventilation rate were compared between negative fluid balance group and positive fluid balance group according to the fluid balance in first 72 hours. The influence of continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) on the volume load and the prognosis of patients with sepsis induced AKI were also studied., Results: One hundred and sixty patients were enrolled. Compared with positive fluid balance group (n=79), 28-day-mortality [37.0% (30/81) vs. 68.4% (54/79), P<0.01], ICU stay time (10.1±4.9 days vs. 12.4±8.0 days, P<0.05) and mechanical ventilation rate [50.6% (41/69) vs. 68.4% (54/819), P<0.01] were lower in negative fluid balance group (n=81). According to Acute Kidney Injury Net (AKIN) staging standard, in stage 1, 2, and 3 of AKI (n=49, n=52, n=59), the day volume of first 72 hours of patients undergoing CRRT were lower than that of patients not undergoing CRRT (-10 ml vs. 716 ml, 324 ml vs. 778 ml, 521 ml vs. 1177 ml, all P<0.05). The 28-day mortality of patients undergoing CRRT was lower than that of patients not undergoing CRRT in stage 2 of AKI [38.7% (12/31) vs. 66.7% (14/21), P<0.05]., Conclusions: There is a relationship between fluid balance and prognosis of sepsis induced AKI, and 28-day-mortality can be reduced by negative fluid balance. CRRT can regulate fluid balance and improve the prognosis of sepsis induced AKI.

Objective: To observe the clinical effects of 10%, 30% lactate clearance rate and early goal-directed therapy (EGDT) as 6-hour resuscitation goals directing treatment in septic shock patients with severe pneumonia., Methods: In this randomized, perspective study, septic shock patients with severe pneumonia were divided into control group and experimental group, which included 10% lactate clearance rate group and 30% lactate clearance rate group, adopting random number method. The control group was treated with 6-hour EGDT strategy, and the experimental groups were treated with 10% lactate clearance rate protocol and 30% lactate clearance rate protocol respectively, beside the EGDT., Results: There were 19 patients in control group, and 43 patients in experimental group, which included 22 patients in 10% lactate clearance rate group and 21 patients in 30% lactate clearance rate group. Patients were well matched by basic features. After 48 hours, the acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II ) score of both 10% lactate clearance rate group (13.76 ± 6.00, P < 0.05) and 30% lactate clearance rate group (13.60 ± 6.18, P < 0.05) were lower than that of control group (18.15 ± 6.62). There were no differences in time of mechanical ventilation (hours) between control group and experimental group (10% group 136.90 ± 100.02, 30% group 97.00 ± 75.20, control group 152.32 ± 96.51, P > 0.05). The length in intensive care unit (ICU, days) of 10% and 30% lactate clearance rate groups were significantly shorter than control group (10% group 7.94 ± 6.00, 30% group 7.51 ± 3.99, control group 11.31 ± 5.97, both P < 0.05). The three groups had no differences in 7-day mortality rate (10% group 18.18%, 30% group 14.29%, control group 21.05%, all P > 0.05), but the 28-day mortality of 10% and 30% lactate clearance rate groups were significantly lower than control group (10% group 36.36%, 30% group 28.57%, control group 63.16%), especially in 30% lactate clearance rate group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: For the septic shock patients with severe pneumonia, prompt archiving EGDT strategy and 6-hour lactate clearance more than 30% were associated with an optimal outcome.
