Objective: To evaluate the association of synaptosomal-associated protein 25 gene MnlI polymorphism and attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder in childten. Methods: Pubmed, Embase, Web of Science, Google Scholar, CNKI, VIP, Wangfang Data and CBM were searched from inception to November 2019 to collect studies about SNAP25MnlI polymorphism and ADHD. Results: Seven case-control studies and eight transmission disequilibrium tests were included in this meta-analysis. The overall meta-analysis showed heterogeneity ( I2 = 45. 6%), so the random effects model was used and showed significant association between SNAP25 MnlI polymorphism and ADHD risk in children [OR( 95 % CJ) = 1. 16( 1. 03 - 1. 30), P < 0. 05] . Stratified analyses showed that significant associations were found in Caucasian and case-control study, the OR and 95 % CI respectively were [ OR(95 % Cl) = 1. 10 ( 1. 00 -1. 22), 1. 38( 1. 11 -1. 70), (Ps <0. 05)]. Funnel plots showed that there was no publication bias in the included literature. Conclusion: This study suggests that in Caucasian or case-control studies, SNAP25MnlI polymorphisms may contribute to the risk of ADHD in children. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
