The 54th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Medical Education was held in Gunma, Japan, in August 2022, where faculty members of the Toho University Center for Medical Education and Development participated. In relation to medical education, there are increasing opportunities for self-reflection, triggered by the revision of the Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education in 2024 and the acceptance of accreditation for a medical school at each university by the Japan Accreditation Council for Medical Education. Furthermore, as the Common Achievement Test will soon become a part of the national examination for doctors, medical education must change for the better. In the midst of such trends, gathering information and considering upgrades to medical education at Toho University will improve the quality of education. Information literacy education is the mission and role of academic libraries. In recent years. following the development of higher education reform, Tsinghua University Library continuously strength- ened planning and practice of innovative information literacy education. We focused on capacity building and actively promoted cooperation with various departments on campus. conducted project-based exploration. and made efforts to integrate into the teaching and learning ecosystem, supporting the high-quality talent cultivation of the university, which has made certain progress. The activator is one of functional orthodontic appliance developed in the 1930s. It is an appliance used in cases of maxillary protrusion with inferior growth of the mandible to promote mandibular growth. It was introduced in Japan in the 1940s, and was modified to be applied to cases of a functional anterior cross bite. Even today, the activator is widely used for functional anterior cross bite in the mixed dentition stage because of its simple structure. Against this background, it is one of the contents that must be understood in undergraduate education. However, for students, it is one of the most difficult appliances to understand the significance and function of activator’s guiding plane formation. The reason for this is that educational method using a conventional hard plaster model with non-movable anterior teeth makes it difficult to understand the significance of guiding plane formation. Therefore, we created a new activator movable explanatory model with movable upper and lower anterior teeth, and conducted tests and questionnaires before and after lectures on orthodontic appliances to examine its educational effects. As a result, the activator movement explanatory model turns out to significantly enhance students’ understanding of the formation, structure and function of the induced surface in activator. In addition, the inclination of the teeth can be intuitively understood as the mandible moves, and the tooth movement mechanism of action is easy to understand. Facing the lack of modernity and innovation in the current polymer science laboratory course during undergraduate education, this experiment proposes a new project for the preparation of photo-thermal responsive soft actuating hydrogel materials based on the combination of UV-initiated polymerization and in situ oxidation polymerization. The proposed experiment will first prepare thermal-responsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) hydrogel through UV-initiated polymerization. Then the conducting polymer with photo-thermal effect was further introduced into the PNIPAM hydrogel networks based on in situ oxidation polymerization to obtain composite hydrogel with photo-thermal responsive actuating features. Finally, the smart responsive actuating performance of the prepared composite actuating hydrogel was characterized through exposing the hydrogel under NIR irradiation. The proposed experiment focuses on the research hotspot of functional polymer materials, covering both the preparation of polymer materials based on basic polymerization methods and the characterization of functional polymer materials with specific features. The proposed experiment will not only consolidate students’ understanding of polymer polymerization methods, but also expand students’ knowledge of the research frontier of functional polymer materials. In order to understand the position and quality assurance status of physical education in undergraduate education, I surveyed the contents of each university's "Self-assessment Report" submitted at the time of accreditation. The survey covered three criteria related to physical education: "faculty organization," "curricula," and "facilities and equipment." The survey was administered to universities that underwent the second phase of accreditation evaluation from AY2013 to AY2017. Altogether, 631 universities' "self-assessment reports" were available for inspection, and they were examined by one of the three accreditation organizations: the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA), the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD), and the Japan Institution for Higher Education Evaluation (JIHEE). Results show that 32.5% of the universities included descriptions regarding the organization in charge of physical education as the "faculty organization" and that 52.9% included descriptions regarding physical education as "curricula." These descriptions were only outlines, with few detailed descriptions. Additionally, 90.3% of the universities described their sports fields and gymnasiums as "facilities and equipment." From the above results, the "Self-assessment Report" was insufficient in terms of the inspection and evaluation of physical education, and it was not possible to obtain detailed information on the positioning and quality assurance status of physical education. Thus, it can be judged that the accreditation evaluation is not yet useful for such quality assurance. Utilizing the Faculty Development Promoting School Award System, conducted by the Japanese Association of University Physical Education and Sports (JAUPES), to externally evaluate physical education could provide a more thorough evaluation. Results also suggest that it is necessary to understand how the faculty members in charge of physical education are involved in the accreditation evaluation and how they are making use of this process for improvement. With the economic development of China and transformation of medical model, people pay more attention to their spiritual world and psychological health, and medical psychology has become a major in urgent need of construction. Foreign medical/clinical psychology education was established earlier and has become relatively mature, thus making its experience valuable for reference. This paper compares and analyzes the current situation of undergraduate medical psychology education, and puts forward optimization strategies from the aspects of college planning, curriculum training scheme and teachers’ teaching philosophy, hoping to provide some ideas for the construction of undergraduate medical psychology education in China. Practice-based teacher education, as one of the important frameworks for physical education undergraduate curriculum in the USA, has produced effective outcomes. By reviewing the literature on practice-based teacher education, the theoretical connotation and the consciousness of thinking are analyzed. On the basis of the results and experiences since the introduciton of the theory into physical education, the detailed measures were summed up with the application of the theory into the curriculum reform in the USA, with the goal of providing theoretical foundations to support the reform and development of physical education undergraduate programs and teaching ability among pre-service physical education teachers in China. It is concluded that the physical education curriculum in China shall integrate theory into practices. Considering the goal of developing pre-service teachers' teaching skills as the core as well as their technical ability promotion in China, we should follow the principles of the curriculum reform as follows: "practice-based curriculum" as the foundtion, "core teaching skills" as the focus, "coherent and authentic teaching practices" as the guarantee, and "advanced and effective teaching strategies" as the tools. [Results/Conclusions] Through the comparative research, there are differences and gaps found on guidelines, depth, contents and idea between university libraries at home and abroad. Combining the concept of undergraduate education reform, 5 strategies are proposed to coordinate resources and services and serve the development and growth of undergraduate students. They are embedding curriculum in the whole process, promoting participation of undergraduates' innovation, highlighting a library's culture, providing services for undergraduate education and research, and ensuring guarantee of organization and cultivation of librarians.

Based on the investigation result on the training program of information security to undergraduates in Hunan university, an analysis from four aspects was made: domestic and international universities, external specialists, teachers in the college and students in the college. Aiming at issues being found, the training program based on existing experiences and achievements on university-enterprise cooperation were improved. The new training program features university-enterprise joint cultivation.

Based on the teaching practice of modern cryptography curriculum reform in xidian university from 2015 to 2018, the practice and effect of MOOC, SPOC and flip classroom in modern cryptography were analyzed. The implementation and reform of the lab course were summarized based on the experiments with programming marathon and traditional lab course. The accomplishments and lessons of the curriculum reform were summarized and some suggestions of innovative modern cryptography education for undergraduate in the mode of “Internet +” were provided.

With the advent of the post-genomic era， a golden age of bioinformatics research is coming. The establishment and improvement of the bioinformatics education system is pivotal to the vitality of bioinformatics. The undergraduate specialty construction of bioinformatics at home and abroad was analyzed，and results showed that the undergraduate education of bioinformatics around the world is in the initial stage. The development obstacles of bioinformatics in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were analyzed， and the advantages and necessity of establishing an undergraduate major of bioinformatics in the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology were discussed. In the future ， with the development of sequencing technology and computer technology， bioinformatics will continue to flourish and the demand for bioinformatics talents will continue to expand. In order to respond to the national education reform of engineering students, and to enhance the practical operation and innovation ability of engineering college students, this paper proposes an innovative experimental method of PWM inverter based on real-time simulator with the goal of innovating electrical engineering teaching method. In this way, students can enhance their understanding of the theoretical knowledge of inverters in power electronics technology, and can strengthen to students' practical ability, innovation ability and depth of thinking problems. At the same time, this method has improved the effectiveness and implementation of the experiment, fully reflectis the perfect transition from theory to practice. As economic and social development in China has entered a new norm, colleges and universities actively carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education. In view of the lack of initiative and autonomy for students in innovative practice education and imperfect management mechanism, centering on the idea of " development is the source of innovation, capability is the core of innovation" , a new undergraduate innovative practice education model driven by "development-capability" was put forward. The paper analyzes the gas phase pressure signal of the dust scrubber, based on the wavelet analysis and statistical analysis. The fundamental problems of the monitoring of the gas-liquid two phase mixture state are discussed. The results show that, with the increase of gas velocity and the increase of liquid level the fluctuation of gas-liquid two phase flow is enhanced; and the average of gas phase pressure is increased. When the gas and liquid phase are fully mixed each other, the ratio of the sub-band energy to the total energy of the wavelet reconstructed signal tends to be stable (about 80% total energy to be maintained the macro-flow of gas and Liquid; and about 20% total energy to be consumed on exciting the capturers such as liquid droplets and bubbles). The low-frequency reconstruction signal (A4) from wavelet analysis is associated with the gas-liquid macro-flow process. While the high-frequency reconstruction signal (D1, D2, D3 and D4) are associated with the gas-liquid microcosmic-flow process. With the decrease of b0 value, the energy values of the reconstructed signal of low-frequency and middle-frequency segments are both increasing, the regularity of the low-frequency bands is stronger, and the dispersion of the middle-frequency bands. With the rapid development of modern biomedical technology industry, background and knowledge of a single discipline will not be adequate to meet the needs of research and development of cutting-edge technology. The cultivation of innovative research talents with interdisciplinary background at the undergraduate level poses great challenges for higher education institutions. National-level research institutes, including state key laboratories and national clinical research centers, for example, have an enormous supply of technological human resources and resources for research and teaching, which is of critical importance for the training of innovative talents at the undergraduate level. Herein, taking as an example the West China Innovation Class of State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, a special undergraduate program founded by the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy, Sichuan University in 2016, we reported on the explorations and practices of a new model for cultivating innovative research talents at the undergraduate level. Undergraduate teaching reform is in progress in Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. With establishing a new curriculum framework, much more effort is making to strengthen the practice teaching. Electromagnetic field and microwave technology, which is an important discipline in Electronic and Information Science category, has its complete theoretical knowledge framework. Based on this framework, teachers in the Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Laboratory are exploring actively and practicing continuously to construct a perfect, hierarchical and open experimental teaching system. The system includes three courses, covering the subjects of basic type, study type and inquiry type. The projects guide the students to explore the knowledge and its development for diferent levels of students. The dominant position of students and student-teacher interaction are emphasized to establish the learning mode under the teachers ' guidance. The teaching methods are bringing more emphasis on basic skiils, comprehensive and creative ability, cooperating and promoting with each other between teachers doing practice teaching and theoretical teaching, transforming the achievements in advanced scientific research into experimental teaching. This article briefly summarized research-oriented practice teaching ideas, construction and implementations of the nearly five years ' teaching system at the School of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University ( SJTU ). The authors started by arousing and cultivating students ' interest in studying agricultural science when considering top-level design of practical teaching system and cultivated students ' innovative spirit by launching entrepreneurship pulpit, freshman seminar, and advanced research platform in a comprehensive university surrounding. Furthermore, the authors initiated the teaching methods of putting teaching into research, promoted science research through teaching, enriched teaching contents through research results, and encouraged teachers to transfer research results into practice programs. Up to now, 20 specialized experimental projcts have been listed in the educational reform projects of SJTU and applied into students' practical skiils as well. Besides thesis projects, teachers' research facilities have supported 312 innovative projects, with 670 students' participation. And meanwhile utilized verified experiments to make students truly believe science when designing curriculum system. By establishing comprehensive and open experiments to develop students ' exploring ability, for the moment the class hours of comprehensive experiments and self-designed experiments in the School of Agriculture and Biology account for 78% of afl experimental time. Universities specialty experiment teaching plays an important role in the undergraduate teaching activities, the experiment can improve students hands-on skils, consolidate their understanding of professional knowledge and promote the development of innovative thinking. The existing undergraduate specialty experiment teaching has lots of shortcomings on experimental content, experimental teaching methods, and experimental curriculum-designing. The undergraduate specialty experiment teaching in future should be related to the specialty effectively, avoid cognitive experimental teaching, promote students to play with initiative, enhance the important affect of specialty experiment teaching on specialty teaching, and develop the practical and innovative ability for student to improve its overaH quality. To improve the teaching effect of food safety and food hygiene experiment, cultivate students ' ability of independent thinking, independent operation, preliminary designing of experiment and rigorous scientific approach, an independent designing practice of experimental course which takes open proposition of determination of major food safety indicators in various food was carried out in undergraduate teaching. Students were divided into four groups, and each group holds 5-6 persons. On the basis of full discussion, mutual evaluations among students and the teachers' comments, combining with the factors of the actual laboratory conditions, feasibility and innovation, one optimal experimental design plane, the determination of fermented bean products quality and hygiene indicators, was chosen as the experimental teaching content. The autonomy of the students was emphasized during the whole procedure. The choice of experimental subject, samples, detection indicators and methods were al determined by the students. The experimental operation, results analysis and report writing were al independent completed by the students. Good teaching result was obtained, and expected teaching objectives were reached. Rocket Propulsion Elements is a basic course for undergraduates whose major is aviation and aerospace science and technology. To enhance the student' s abilities of conducting experiment and creation, a new experiment teaching mode of Rocket Propulsion Elements has been established. This article presents five kinds of experiment of rocket propulsion, including visiting experiments, virtual presentation experiments, demonstrative experiments, manipulative experiments, and project experiments. Based on the current situation of undergraduate teaching practice in integrated circuits, the paper presents the problems in the current undergraduate IC teaching practice. Through the detailed analysis of IC design teaching content distribution, practice tools, practice overhead costs and other issues in the next IC design undergraduate teaching practice, the paper lists some possible ways to improve education quality, such as to master the use of integrated circuit design automation tools to improve education quality, change the practice of teaching methods to reduce costs and so on. Throughout its history of over one century Nanjing University has been cultivating outstanding scholars in an endless stream. With its core of converting "Balance" to "Integration", the heritage and development in Nanjing University's personnel training thoughts are typically demonstrated through such transformations as follows: turning the educational ideology of the previous "Four Balances" to the current "Four Integrations" and "Double Track Merging", turning the teaching method of the early "Trinity" to the "Three-Dimension Structure Mold" in the 1980s and turning the personnel training goal of the past "State-Level Gentleman Manner" to the present "Four Top Grades". In recent years NJU has been exploring "Integration Value-Based" personnel training mold cautiously and has gradually constructed "Integration Value-Based" teaching and learning assurance mechanism for internal operation. A composite reagent has been developed to replace the prestored CODCr reagent of Hach company in micro- reflux analytical method for COD determination. By using the new pre-prepared reagent in undergraduate experiments, the measuring cost can be cut down significantly, consequently can be extended the application of advanced analytical method in traditional experimental teaching. Objective: To understand the internship of students majoring in preventive medicine in 6 colleges and universities in China, and provide reference suggestions for the improvement of internship arrangement. Methods: By using the method of combined clustering and convenient sampling, the fifth grades students majoring in preventive medicine in six universities in the eastern, central and western China were surveyed by using questionnaires to collect the information of their attitudes (to) and suggestions for clinical and public health internships. Results: A total of 596 students were surveyed. In terms of the benefits of clinical internship and public health internship, students who thought that the internship was fruitful accounted for >88 % , and more students thought that reform is needed in clinical internship compared with public health internship. In clinical internship, the students through that the time arrangement was not appropriate enough (95, 39.58 % ), the content should be more detailed and in-depth (73, 30.42 % ) and the content did not conform to the professional direction (54, 22.50 % ). In public health internship, the students thought that the time arrangement was not appropriate (77, 45.56 % ), the content should be more detailed and standardized (65, 38.46 % ) and the types of internship bases should be more diversified (20, 11.83 % ). Conclusions: The undergraduates majoring in preventive medicine felt to be benefited from clinical practice and public health internships and thought they are of necessity. At the same time, there are still many problems which needs to be improved in the two types of internships. It is necessary to make joint efforts from students, teachers, colleges and practice bases to promote the continuous improvement of undergraduate internship.
