The 54th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Medical Education was held in Gunma, Japan, in August 2022, where faculty members of the Toho University Center for Medical Education and Development participated. In relation to medical education, there are increasing opportunities for self-reflection, triggered by the revision of the Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education in 2024 and the acceptance of accreditation for a medical school at each university by the Japan Accreditation Council for Medical Education. Furthermore, as the Common Achievement Test will soon become a part of the national examination for doctors, medical education must change for the better. In the midst of such trends, gathering information and considering upgrades to medical education at Toho University will improve the quality of education. Therefore, we would like to report on the four sessions that we attended at the conference. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
