In this article, an effective method to keep the phase coherence between the transmitter and the receiver in digital magnetic resonance (MR) console is proposed. Relying on programmable digital logic, we design two digital reference sources with the same frequency and embed them in the transmitter and the receiver respectively. During pulse sequence execution, when the transmitter or receiver loses phase coherence due to frequency switching, the phase coherence is restored by resetting the phase of the transmitter and receiver to ensure they are synchronized with their corresponding reference source. The experimental results have verified that this method can accurately keep the phase coherence between the transmitter and receiver, and neither additional hardware circuit nor complex sequence design is required, which adds to great practicability.

Zinc-copper alloy ash contains Cu, Zn, Al, Ni, Sn, Pb and other non-ferrous metals. In this paper, t he effective treatment of zmccopper ash in different particle size ranges ss realized by screening. The effects of sulfuric acid content, temperature, time, i iquid-soiid ratio, rotation speed, oxidant and roasting conditions on the selective eaching of different meta! were investigated. The resutts show that the zinccopper ash with partid size kss than 0. 15 mm ss caHned at 750 °C for 3 hours, and then leached at 85 °C, s uHunc acid content of 1. 2 g/g ash, iiquid-to-solid ratio of 5/1, sirring speed of 400 r/min, H202 0. 075 mL/g ash for 5 h. The removal rate of zinc ss 93. 40%, and the removal rate of copper ss 0. 23%. Compared with the initia1 copper ash, the ZnO n the copper ash after roasting and leaching ss greatly reduced. The leaching residue was mixed with copper slag with a particle size of 0. 15-0. 25 mm, roasted at 750 C for 4 hours, and then washed wI 2 mol/L suHurtc acid solution for 5 hours and washed wI water under the same condiions. The steps can remove a !arge number of impurtty metal e!ements inthe copper slag. A growing number of higher education institutions have adopted asynchronous and synchronous Web-based learning platforms to improve students' learning efficiency and increase learning satisfaction in the past decade. Unlike traditional face-to-face learning methods, e-learning platforms allow teachers to communicate with students and discuss course content anytime or anywhere. In addition, the teaching material can be reused via the e-learning platforms. To understand how students use e-learning platforms and what the implications are, we conducted an empirical study of the iCAN e-learning platform, which has been widely used in Fu-Jen Catholic University since 2005. We use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), a well-known multi-criteria evaluation approach, to compare five practices, i.e. the functions of the iCAN teaching platform. We adopted a brainstorming approach to design a questionnaire to measure learners' perception of the e-learning platform based on the theory of knowledge transforming process in knowledge management. Accordingly, the model considers functioning and objectivity in terms of the following three attributes of learning effectiveness: individual learning, group sharing and learning performance. Twelve criteria with twelve evaluation items were used to investigate the effectiveness of the five practices. We also evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the functions based on the types of courses in the iCan platform. We expect that the empirical evaluation results will provide teachers with suggestions and guidelines for using the e-learning platform effectively to facilitate their teaching activities and promote students' learning efficiency and satisfaction.

Abstract: Well Pai 2 is located at the Chepaizi high relief belt, west Junggar Basin. The Neogene Shawan Formation beach sandbar in the Well Pai 2 is developed by lake wave reconstruction of fan-delta and reworking in its frontal side or flank, which was caused by lake transgression and fan oscillation on the basin slope, in the continuously dextral and uplifting of Chepaizi relief and under the compression background during evolution of the Tertiary quasi-foreland basin. Depositional and electric characteristics of the beach sandbar are characterized by fine, loose grains, small thickness, two-stage cumulative probability curve, C-M chart showing PQRS paragraph mainly, moderate compositional and textural maturity, dactyline self-potential curve, and semi-funnel-shaped resistivity curve. After light oil charging, the beach sandbar reservoir show high amplitude, low-to-moderate frequency, and high absorption coefficient, and its energy amplitude shows clear boundary, convex top, and flat bottom. 本研究旨在探討專業數位媒體設計主管其平衡於理想及現實之間的實務考量、這些考量的互動關係，以及設計主管的決策行為。研究群採取質性研究方法，以深度訪談法為主，將研究對象劃分為光碟出版、動畫視訊、網路遊戲、資訊服務、廣告設計等五個範疇，針對篩選出的專業主管群詳作訪查，並進行分析與整合。本研究成果將以:承接專案和研發產品的考量因素；承接專案和研發產品時所遇困難及因應之道；團隊成員、專案委託人、消費者間的互動關係；影響決策行為之情境考量；決策流程展問與洞悉；專業主管的決策行為；成功數位媒體設計主管的人格特質；以及人才培育與產學合作等數項議題，逐一論述。This research is aimed at exploring the decision-making considerations, the interplay among these considerations, and the decision-making behavior of the expert producer in the digital media design field. The methods are adapted to this research including indepth interview and participant observation under the naturalistic paradigm. The research outcomes are divided into the following categories: the considerations of taking projects and developing products; the problems to be resolved while the projects going; the interaction among the team members, clients, and customers; the situation factors surrounding by the decision-making behavior, the deployment of the decision-making process, the decision-making behavior, the characteristics of a successful digital media producer, and the issues of talent development and co-operate initiates.

Low temperature stresses (-3 and -5 °C) were simulated using artificial temperature controlled phytotrons to study the freezing rate, the contents of endogenous hormones, and the activities of antioxidative enzymes in the leaves of wheat plants of Yangmai 16 (YM 16) and Xumai 30 (XM 30) at jointing stage. The grade and index of freezing injury increased with lower temperature and longer stress. The freezing rate was at the 5th level and the main stems and tillers of both cultivars were finally dead under -5 °C lasting for 72 h. On the last day of stress initiation, the contents of abscisic acid (ABA) and zeatin riboside (ZR), and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxide dismutase (POD), and catalase (CAT) in leaves increased at the beginning and then declined as low temperature progressed. On the 3rd day after stress, the contents of ABA and ZR and the activities of antioxidative enzymes were higher than those on the last day of cold stress, and then reduced to the level of the control on the 6th day after stress. The content of gibberellins (GA3) was lowered by cold stress. For YM 16, GA3 content increased from the 3rd day to the 6th day after cold stress, whereas, for XM 30, it increased first and then decreased. For the treatment of -5 °C lasting for 72 h, the contents of hormones and the activities of antioxidative enzymes were significantly lower than those of the other treatments. Correlation analyses showed that higher ABA and ZR contents, and higher SOD, POD and CAT activities as well as lower GA3 content could alleviate the low-temperature injury in wheat plants under low temperature stress. The mature male mouse suffered by one-month, three-month and five-month passive smoking by using the established passive smoking model, comparing with normal control male mouse, the expression rule of AKAP3 in the passive smoking male mice testicular tissue was analyzed by RT-PCR. The results showed that one-month passive smoking male mouse had greater AKAP3 mRNA expression quantity than that of control male mouse. However, no significant differences were observed among three-month and five- month passive smoking male mouse. Based on 'PAS2050;201 1 Specification for the assessment of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services' and relative guidelines, this paper established a calculation model of woollen yarn industrial carbon footprint, and accounted the industrial carbon footprint of six kinds of yarn. Calculation results showed that; the higher quality requirement of product corresponding to the larger industrial carbon footprint; dyeing process is the largest contributor to the woollen yarn industrial carbon emissions, followed by the spinning process; yarn color and yarn count have significant influence on the woollen yarn industrial carbon footprint, the deeper colored and finer yarn corresponding the bigger carbon footprint values; transport carbon emissions is an important part of the textile industrial carbon footprint, which can not be ignored. This study examines the socio-demographic characteristics of uxorilocal marriages between inhabitants of the same village residing in proximity. Household register data for the Japanese colonial era were accessed for Chupei, Beipu, and Ermei townships in Hsinchu County. These data make it possible to reconstruct the life histories of husbands who lived continuously in their wife's native township. Ninety-two couples met these requirements, and they reveal several unique socio-demographic features. First, it was very common that the "called-in" husband married a wife of a higher household socio-economic status. There were also other corresponding contrasts in the respective circumstances of the two households, such as sibling order and parent background, that matched socio-economic status differences. Second, although uxorilocal unions had higher rates of divorce than major marriages (living virilocally with the husband's family), uxorilocal marriages were as fertile as major marriages. As a consequence, a "called-in" husband often had more male heirs (sons) than his father-in-law. Third, initially uxorilocal couples could eventually separate from the wife's family. When setting up a new household, the residential status of the "called-in" husband normally changed from uxorilocal to neolocal. In sum, although the disadvantages of a uxorilocal marriage were very real, these marriages offered other compensations. On the one hand, they provided "called in" husbands with the possibility of upward social mobility while still maintaining his patrilineal descent line. Tri-sector partnerships in local cultural and creative industries have become more extensive in recent years. However, it still leaves how value is co-created in tri-sector partnerships to be learned. Trisector partnerships, which are collaborations among local firms, university incubation center, and public sectors, can be viewed as one type of public-private partnerships. This study explores how value is co-created in tri-sector partnerships in cultural and creative industries based on public-private partnerships and value-based strategies. In our case study of Hwang Sun Enterprise in local cultural and creative industries, we provide an understanding of how the local firm initiated and governed the publicprivate partnership with public sector and university incubation center and how they appropriate cocreated value. Our result found that resources and capabilities of the local firm that combines complementary assets have moderating effects of how value is co-created. The benchmark problem of civil structures is always used to evaluate the efficacy of various structural control strategies. In this paper, a seismically excited 20-story steel structure benchmark model has been studied by using the nonlinear stochastic optimal (NSO) control strategy, which is based on both the stochastic averaging method for quasi Hamiltonian system and the stochastic dynamic programming principle. The dynamic equation of the benchmark problem has been established and transformed into modal coordinates. Because the state of the structure is only partially observed, the partially observation problem has been transformed into a completely observable problem by using the separation principle. The conditional mean of the system states have been estimated by the Kalman filter. The averaged equations have been obtained by using the stochastic averaging method for quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system. Part of modal has been taken to control. The nonlinear optimal control forces to control the response of the structure have been obtained by solving the dynamic programming equation. The performance indices of NSO control strategy have been compared with those of the linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control strategy. By using a free-air controlled enrichment (FACE) system, this paper studied the effects of elevated atmospheric ozone (O3) concentration (150% of ambient O3) on the flag leaf photosynthetic pigment contents of wheat varieties Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Jiaxin 002, Yangmai 15, and Yangfumai 2. For the test varieties, no significant differences were observed in the flag leaf chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll (a+b), and carotenoid contents between treatments elevated O3 concentration and ambient O3 at booting and anthesis stages, but the photosynthetic pigment contents in treatment elevated O3 concentration all decreased after anthesis, with a significant decrease of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and chlorophyll (a+b) contents, which indicated that elevated O3 had minor effects on the synthesis of photosynthetic pigments but accelerated their decline process. Different wheat varieties had genetic difference in the responses of flag leaf photosynthetic pigment contents to elevated O3, among which, Yangmai 15 and Jiaxin 002 had better tolerance to ozone stress. The flag leaf chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and chlorophyll (a+b) contents at grain-filling stage (about 21 days after anthesis) had a significant positive correlation with the 1000-grain mass. By using FACE (Free-Air Controlled Environment)-ozone system, a field plot experiment was conducted in 2008-2009 to study the effects of elevated ozone (O3) concentration on the flag leaf microscopic structure, chlorophyll content, and grain weight of wheat. Two treatments were installed, i. e. , ambient O3 and 150% of ambient O3, and four winter varieties, i. e. , Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Jiaxin 002, and Yangfumai 2, were taken as the test materials. At anthesis, elevated O3 concentration had a slight damage to the flag leaf microscopic structure. The mesophyll cell and chloroplast structure began destroying, and the grana lamellae started breaking and loosing. Twenty-one days after anthesis, the differences in the leaf microscopic structure between the two treatments became significant. Under elevated O3, the flag leaf senescence was accelerated, with the endomembrane system disintegrated, grana lamella disappeared, and corpus adiposum inside chloroplast broken down, resulting in a significant decrease of the chlorophyll content, photosynthesis rate, and grain weight at maturing stage. Significant difference was observed among the test varieties in their responses to elevated O3. Jiaxin 002 was tolerant, while Yangfumai 2 was sensitive to the ozone stress. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presented a new and simple assessment method for the quality of ecological monitoring data. This method theorized the associations between the data reliability as an ordinal variable with different number of classes and the data sources such as natural main ecological processes, secondary ecological processes, and extraneous and exotic processes, and offered a new data quality index to estimate the quality of the whole dataset by using the reasonableness ratio of observations. The assessment results provided the reliability class of each dataset, good explanations for outlier (or error data) flagging decisions, and quality value of the whole dataset. The method was applied to assess two tree growth datasets from Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN),and the results demonstrated that the new data quality index could quantitatively evaluate the quality of the tree growth datasets. In 2006-2009, a Free-Air Controlled Enrichment (FACE) system was applied to study the effects of elevated ozone concentration ([O3 ]) on the grain protein components and their dynamics of four winter wheat varieties Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Yangmai 15, and Yangfumai 2. Two levels of [O3] were installed, i. e. , ambient level (CK-O3) and 50% higher than the ambient level (E-O3). With the increase of [O3], the grain protein content of the varieties increased, with the increment being 7-55% -16-37% (2006 -2007), 4-93% -22-63% (2007 -2008), and 2-29% -17-65% (2008-2009) in the three years, respectively, and the differences between treatments, varieties, and years being all significant. Adversely, the grain protein yield was decreased significantly by 1-83% -11-64% (2006 - 2007), - 0-41% - 24-22% (2007 - 2008), and -1-90% -15-81% (2008-2009), respectively in the three years. The contents of four grain protein components (albumin, globulin, gliadin, and glutenin) were significantly higher under E-O3 than under CK-O3, and the differences between treatments, varieties, and years were significant, except the albumin and glutenin contents between treatments. To study the effects of soil water content on the photosynthesis, fluorescence parameters, and root growth of greenhouse cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) , a pot experiment was conducted, using a negative pressure water supplying and controlling device to control soil moisture regime. Seven levels of water supply tension (WST), i.e., 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 kPa, wer e designed. The WST was inversely proportional to soil water content, and the gr avimetric soil water content was maintained in the range of 14.23%-42.32%. With increasing WST, the leaf net photosynthetic rate (Pn) in different growth periods showed a parabolic trend, being higher when the WST was 7-11 kPa at initial flowering stage, and was 3-5 kPa at fruiting stage. The reason for the decreased Pn at 9-13 kPa WST was stomatal limitation. Under 1-5 kPa WST, the actual photochemical efficiency (ΦPSII) had a high value, and the possibility of photo inhibition was small. Both the leaf transpiration rate and the chlorophyll content were positively correlated with leaf Pn in different growth periods. Root growth and activity also had a parabolic trend with increasing WST. The maximum root dry mass and root activity happened at 7 kPa and 5 kPa WST, respectively. Our results indicated that a WST of 3-7 kPa was more profitable for the leaf photosynthesis and root growth of greenhouse cucumber. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on Brinson's one-dimensional thermo-mechanical constitutive relations of shape memory alloys and the theory of small amplitude vibration of thin plates, the response of free vibration of a circular plate embedded with SMA fibers, subjected to a uniform temperature rise is studied. For the circular plate with both clamped and simply supported boundary condition, the characteristic curves of the first three lowest natural frequencies versus temperature rise of are obtained. The numerical results show that, the recovery forces of the pre-strained SMA caused in the phase transformation from martensite to austenite can make the natural frequencies and the critical buckling temperature of the plate increase significantly. So, it can be concluded that the natural frequencies and the buckling temperature rise can be adjusted effectively and actively by embedment of the SMA fibers into the circular plates. Pore characteristics and their controlled factors of some lower Paleozoic shales from the Yangtze area were investigated in this paper using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2 gas adsorption method. The results show that different pore types are abundant in the samples, including pores in organic matter, solution pores, primary residual pores, iron pyrite inter-granular pores, and micro-fissure caused by clay minerals. The samples have pore specific surface area between 2.99-35.26 m²/g, pore volume between 0. 012-0. 096 cm³/g. The pore volume and pore specific surface area of the samples show some positive relationship with their TOC and clay mineral contents. They are major factors to control pore structures of shales. Understanding the composition and spatial distribution patterns of microbial communities in plateau peatland soils is crucial for preserving the structural and functional stability of highland wetlands. We collected 50 soil samples from the core conservation area of Zoige peatland along horizontal and vertical distributions to analyze the soil bacterial and fungal diversity by using high-throughput sequencing technology, combined with Mantel tests and multiple regression on matrices (MRM) statistical methods, as well as the spatial distribution characteristics of community structure similarity at a local scale. The results showed that the dominant soil bacterial and fungal groups were Chloroflexi (accounting for 33.2% and 25.1% of the total bacterial community in horizontal and vertical directions, respectively) and Ascomycota (54.7% and 76.4%). The similarity of microbial community structure in both horizontal and vertical directions decreased with increasing spatial distance of the sampling points. The turnover rates of bacterial and fungal communities in the vertical direction were 8.8 and 8.6 times as those in the horizontal direction, respectively. Based on the relative abundance of the communities, we classified microbes into six groups. As the number of rare species in the community increased, the slope of community distance decay decreased. The conditionally rare or abundant taxa (CRAT) category group showed the most similar spatial distribution characteristics to the total microbial community. Mantel analysis indicated that soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, and available phosphorus were key factors driving the distribution of bacterial and fungal communities in the horizontal direction, while soil organic carbon, available carbon, pH, and soil bulk density were the main factors determining the vertical distribution. MRM analysis further showed that both soil physicochemical indicators and spatial distance significantly affected the assembly of microbial communities, where soil factors explained more about the vertical distribution of microbial communities than the horizontal distribution. The impact of soil factors on microbial community distribution was much greater than that of spatial factors through diffusion limitation. In summary, the microbial communities in the plateau peatland soils exhibited more pronounced vertical distribution differences and environmental response characteristics.

Objective: To study the effects of cadmium on autophagy in germ cells (GC-2 spd cells) through Ca2+ and IRE1 pathway., Methods: The viability of GC-2 spd cells was determined using a CCK-8 assay to establish the concentration of cadmium treating . MDC staining was employed to assess autophagosome formation. Laser confocal microscopy and flow cytometry were utilized to measure cytoplasmic and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) Ca2+ levels. Western blot was conducted to evaluate the expression levels of proteins associated with the IRE1 signaling pathway and autophagy., Results: As the concentration of cadmium increased, cell viability gradually decreased. The concentrations of cadmium were determined to be 2.5, 5, and 10 μmol/L. Compared with the control group, the IOD values of MDC fluorescence intensity within the cadmium group were all elevated (P<0.05), accompanied by elevated ratios of autophagy markers LC3-II/LC3-I and up-regulation of Beclin-1 protein expression (P<0.05). Cytoplasm Ca2+ levels gradually increased, while ER Ca2+ levels decreased (P<0.05). The expression of IP3R protein, the ER Ca2+ release pathway, was up-regulated (P<0.05). Additionally, the expressions of IRE1, XBP1s, CHOP, and GRP78 were up-regulated in the cadmium group (P<0.05)., Conclusion: Cadmium exposure can induce dysregulation of calcium homeostasis in GC-2spd cells, activates the ER stress-induced IRE1 signaling pathway, and ultimately induces the occurrence of autophagy in GC-2spd cells.

A strategy combining collision cross section(CCS) prediction and quantitative structure-retention relationship(QSRR) model for quinoline and isoquinoline alkaloids was established based on UHPLC-IM-Q-TOF-MS and applied to Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex and Phellodendri Amurensis Cortex. The strategy included the following three steps.(1) The molecular features were extracted by the &quot;find features&quot; algorithm.(2) The potential quinoline and isoquinoline alkaloids were screened by filtering the original characteristic ions extracted from Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex and Phellodendri Amurensis Cortex by the established CCS vs m/z prediction interval.(3) According to the retention time of candidate compounds predicted by QSRR model, the chemical constituents were identified in combination with the characteristic fragment ions and pyrolysis law of secondary mass spectrometry. With the strategy, a total of 80 compounds were predicted, and 15 were identified accurately. The strategy is effective for the identification of small analogs of traditional Chinese medicine.

Proteomic tools were used to identify the key proteins that might be associated with bronchial asthma(BA). Firstly, the serum samples from healthy adults and asthmatic patients were collected. Tandem Mass Tag~(TM)(TMT), which removes high-abundance structures and nonspecific proteins, was employed to identify the differentially expressed proteins between asthmatic patients and healthy adults. Gene Ontology(GO) annotation and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were carried out for the differentially expressed proteins. The core proteins in the asthma group were screened out by protein-protein interaction(PPI) analysis. Then the core proteins were verified by Western blot for 3 patients with bronchial asthma and 3 healthy adults. A total of 778 differentially expressed proteins were screened out, among which 32 proteins contained quantitative information, including 18 up-regulated proteins and 14 down-regulated proteins. The differentially expressed proteins were enriched in 28 KEGG signaling pathways. The PPI analysis showed that 10 proteins(GDN, 1433 Z, VWF, HEMO, CERU, A1 AT, TSP1, G3 P, IBP7, and KPYM) might be involved in the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma. Compared with those in healthy adults, the expression levels of SLC25 A4, SVEP1, and KRT25 in the sera of asthmatic patients were up-regulated(P&lt;0.05). Therefore, it is hypothesized that a variety of immune signaling pathways and differentially expressed proteins play a role in the pathogenesis of BA, which provides potential target information for the treatment of BA.

Objective: To investigate the cytotoxic effect and its mechanism of the micromolecule compound on the leukemia cells., Methods: The cytotoxic effects of 28 Nilotinib derivatives on K562, KA, KG, HA and 32D cell lines were detected by MTT assays, and the compound Nilo 22 was screen out. Cell apoptosis and cell cycle on leukemia cells were detected by flow cytometry. The effect of compound screened out on leukemogenesis potential of MLL-AF9 leukemia mice GFP + cells was tested by colony-forming units assays (CFU). The cytotoxic effect was further detected by transplant assays ex vivo. Telomerase activity assay, C-circle assay were used to measure the effects of compound on the length mechanism of telomere, RT-PCR was used to detected the changes of telomere., Results: Nilo 22 serves as the most outstanding candidate out of 28 Nilotinib derivatives, which impairs leukemia cell lines, but spares normal hematopoietic cell line. Comparing with Nilotinib, Nilo 22 could induce the apoptosis of GFP + cells significantly, slightly arrests the cell cycle at G 0 /G 1 phase, and significantly inhibits colony formation and prolong the progression in MLL-AF9 leukemia mice model. The expression showed that the compound could slow the disease progression in MLL-AF9 leukemia mice significantly. Mechanistically, Nilo 22 could reduce the length of telomere by inhibiting telomerase activity and alternative lengthening of telomere (ALT)., Conclusion: Nilo 22 shows a significant cytotoxic effect on mice and human leukemia cells, especially for drug resistance cells. Nilo 22 is a promising anti-leukemia agent to solve the common clinical problems of drug resistance and relapse of leukemia.

Objective: To observe the effect of tiaoren tongdu acupuncture method (for regulating the function of the Conception Vessel and promoting the circulation of the Governor Vessel) on fractional anisotropy (FA) and upper-extremity motor function after cerebral infarction by diffusion densor imaging (DTI) technology., Methods: The patients with cerebral infarction were divided into an acupuncture group and a control group according to the random number table method, 27 cases in each group. In the control group, the basic treatment with conventional medication was used. In the acupuncture group, on the basic treatment as the control group, the tiaoren tongdu acupuncture method was provided. Main acupoints included Baihui (GV20), Shuigou(GV26), Chengjiang(CV24), Guanyuan(CV4), Qihai (CV6), Zhongwan (CV12), Shenting(GV24) and Mingmen(GV4). Supplementary points included Jianyu(LI15), Chize(LU5), Houxi (SI3), Weizhong (BL40), Zusanli (ST36) and Taichong (LR3) on the affected side. The needles were retained for 30 min. Acupuncture was given once a day, at the interval of 1 days every week, consecutively for 4 weeks. The upper extremity Fugl-Meyer assessment (UE-FMA) was used to evaluate the motor function of upper extremity before and after treatment. DTI was adopted to observe the FA values of infarct focus, posterior limb of internal capsule (PLIC) and cerebral peduncle on the affected side, as well as FA values at the corresponding parts on the healthy side in the patients of two groups. The relative differences (rFA) were calculated., Results: Compared with their own pretreatment, the UE-FMA value was significantly higher after treatment in either of two groups separately ( P <0.05 in the control group, P <0.01 in the acupuncture group). The difference of UE-FMA before and after treatment in the acupuncture group was larger than that in the control group ( P <0.05). The FA and rFA values in infarct focus were higher than those before treatment in the two groups ( P <0.05). The FA and rFA differences before and after treatment in the infarct focus and PLIC on the affected side were higher in the acupuncture group as compared with the control group ( P <0.05). The UE-FMA difference was positively correlated with the rFA difference of each part in either group ( P <0.05), and the correlation was the strongest in PLIC on the affected side in either group ( P <0.01)., Conclusion: Tiaoren tongdu acupuncture significantly improves the upper limb movement function after cerebral infarction. The rFA value of PLIC combined with UE-FMA can be used to evaluate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture on the upper extremity movement after cerebral infarction.

In response to no national standard for Gynostemma pentaphyllum, a market survey was carried out, and 17 batches of gypenosides extract and 29 batches of Gypenosides Tablets on the market were collected. With gypenoside A as an index, the TLC qualitative identification and HPLC quantitative evaluation method of gypenosides extract and tablets was established. Based on the determination results of 17 batches of gypenosides extract and 29 batches of Gypenosides Tablets, the quality standards of gypenosides extract and tablets were formulated respectively, so as to give suggestions for improving the quality standards of gypenosides extract and tablets. Compared with the existing ministerial standards, the qualitative identification and quantitative detection of specific components were added, in order to provide scientific basis and suggestions for the revision of the quality standard of gypenosides extract and tablet preparation.

Objective: To screen the antioxidant small molecular compounds with optimal efficiency of expansing the human hematopoietic stem cells (hHSC) In vitro based on antioxidant small molecular compound database of LKT laboratory, and to verify the effects of these compounds on the biological functions of hHSC., Methods: The umbilial cord blood CD34 + cells were enriched by using the MACS beads; the absolute number and percentage of CD34 + cells and CD34 + CD49f + cells were detected by high throughput flow cytometry after culture of hHSC with compounds in vitro for 1 week, the SR1 (1 μmol/L) was used as positive control, the candidate compounds were screened out; then 4 compounds were selected for follow-up experiments by comprehensive evaluation of concentration, safety and expansion efficacy, the optimal used concentrations of selected compounds were determined through the concentration gradient analysis, and CFC short-term colony-forming cell test was performed by using the determined concentration so as to verify the effect of compounds on the self-renewal, multilineage differentiation., Results: Out of 85 antioxidant small molecular compounds, 4 compounds (C2968, D3331, B1753 and B3358) with obvious expansion efficacy for CD34 + cells and CD34 + CD49f + cells were screened out by high throughput flow cytometry; their optimal concentrations of 4 compounds were 0.5 μmol/L for C2968, 1.5 μmol/L for D3331 and 1.5 μmol/L for B1753 and 15 μmol/L for B3358. The CFC assay showed the colony formation number in compound-treated group significantly increased as compared with control group, moreover the self-renewal and multilineage differentiation were maintained., Conclusion: The antioxidant small molecular compounds C2968 (0.5 μmol/L), D3331 (1.5 μmol/L), B1753 (1.5 μmol/L) and B3358 (1.5 μmol/L) possess good expansion efficacy for hHSC, they can maintain hHSC self-renewal, at the same time ensure the multilineage differentiation potentiality of hHSC.

Objective: To investigate the presence of leukemia stem cells (LSC) in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and find out the relative position of leukemia cells in the figures of flow cytometry, and to analyze the relationship between minimal residual diseases (MRD) and the level of LSC, so as to explore the correlation of LSC changes with the curative effect and the prognosis during chemical therapy., Methods: A total of 85 samples were collected from 50 AML (except M3) patients, including 50 samples from the newly diagnosed patients, 7 samples of AML patients with non-remission and 28 samples of AML patients with complete remission. All samples were used for detection of LSC from immune phenotype of CD34 + /CD38 - /CD123 + by flow cytometry. The detection of immune phenotypic of leukemia cells was performed in the newly diagnosed patients. The detection of leukemia- associated immune phenotypes (LAIP) was implemented in the non-newly diagnosed patients., Results: The LSC was identified in the CD34 + / CD38 - / CD123 + in AML and consistent with the relative position of the leukemia cell in flow cytometry figures. Statistical analysis showed significant difference in LSC content between the newly diagnosed AML group and the post-chemotherapy complete remission group(P<0.01),but did not between the newly diagnosed AML group and the post-chemotherapy non-remission group(P>0.05).There was significant positive correlation between the LSC content and MRD level in 28 AML patients with complete remission (r=0.680,P<0.01)., Conclusion: LSC exist in AML and the relative position are consistent with the leukemia cells in flow cytometry figures, the size characteristics and weak expression of CD45 are also similar to leukemia cells. The proportion of LSC decreases after chemotherapy. Detecting and tracking the LSC changes in bone marrow and combination with detecting minimal resident disease(MRD) may contribute to evaluate the theraputic efficacy and prognosis of leukemia patients.

Field plot experiments were conducted to study the effect of two-year consecutive As stress [As(V): 0, 20, 80, 140, 200 and 260 mg·kg -1 ] on contents of As, saponin and flanovoids, the enzyme activities of phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), chalcone synthase (CHS), and squalene synthase (SS) in main root, fibrous root and rhizome and shoot, and proteome of three-year old Panax notoginseng in Wenshan prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The results showed that total saponin content of fibrous root decreased with increase in As treatment concentration. Total saponin contents of shoot and rhizome increased with 140 mg·kg -1 As treatment compared with control. SS activity of rhizome was higher than that of shoot. Flavonoid contents of diffe-rent plant parts decreased with increase in As treatment concentration. With 140 mg·kg -1 As treatment, activities of PAL and CHS in rhizome were higher than that in shoot. CHS activities in shoot and rhizome were lower, and PAL activities were higher than those of the control. As contents in different plant parts of P. notoginseng increased with increase in As treatment concentration. The highest As content was observed in fibrous root. With 140 mg·kg -1 As treatment, twenty-one diffe-rential proteins (ratio >2, P<0.05) were identified in the inoculated compared to the control. The down-regulated proteins included phosphoribulokinase, heat shock protein, NAD(P)-binding rossmann-fold superfamily proteinisoform, monodehydroascorbate reductase and cytochrome b6-f complex iron-sulfur subunit. The up-regulated proteins included CDC27 family protein, acidic endochitinase isoform, symbiosis receptor-like kinase precursor, isoflavone reductase-like protein, phospho-2-dehydro-3-deoxyheptonate aldolase, putative protein kinase superfamily protein, malate dehydrogenase, glyoxalase I isoform and glutamine synthetase cytosolic isozyme. In general, with two-year consecutive As stress, As contents in different plant parts of P. notoginseng increased, which not only affected the photosynthesis and energy, but also decreased the antioxidation and resilience, and induced the increased expression of protein involved in detoxication, resulted in decrease in the contents of flavonoid and saponin. The tolerant threshold value of P. notoginseng for As was 140 mg·kg -1 .

Nitrogen accumulation, translocation and allocation were investigated in a field experiment to find out the difference between six semi-winterness wheat cultivars and nine springness wheat cultivars that are mainly grown in Jiangsu. Results indicated that the average nitrogen accumulation amount (NAA) in the semi-winterness wheat cultivars was lower from the beginning of wintering to jointing stage, but higher from booting to maturity stage, compared with the springness wheat cultivars tested under the same rate of nitrogen fertilization. The amount of nitrogen accumulated between the beginning of wintering and jointing stage showed no significant difference between the two types of wheat cultivars, but that accumulated between anthesis and maturity in the semi-winterness wheat cultivars was higher than that in the springness wheat cultivars. The total N translocation amount (TNTA) and N accumulation amount to grains after anthesis (NAAA) were significantly higher in the semi-winterness wheat cultivars than those in the springness wheat cultivars, but the total N translocation efficiency (NTE), the contribution proportion of accumulated N (ANCP), and the contribution proportion of translocated N (TNCP) did not show significant difference between the two types of wheat cultivars. In leaves, the semi-winterness wheat cultivars showed lower TNTA, NTE and TNCP than the springness wheat cultivars, but in stem and sheath these N indexes were higher in the semi-winterness wheat cultivars, with a significant level for TNTA. These were significant differences in NAA, NAAA, TNTA and TNCP among cultivars with the same spring type or semi-winter type. According to the differences in nitrogen absorption, utilization and translocation among different wheat cultivars, nitrogen utilization efficiency could be improved by using approp-riate amount and reasonable proportion of nitrogen fertilizers at different developmental stages of wheat.

Purpose: To compare the root canal morphology of mandibular incisors by using cone-beam CT (CBCT) and canal staining and clearing technique., Methods: Sixty-one extracted mandibular incisors with complete dental root and apex which received no endodontic treatment and no post crown restoration were selected. Each tooth was radiographed with CBCT, and the root canal system was stained by canal staining and clearing technique. The consistency of the number of root canal, root canal Vertucci type of mandibular permanent incisors between the two methods were compared, and the differences of the detection rate on root canal branch structure between the two methods were analyzed. The results were statistically analyzed with SPSS 17.0 software package., Results: The Kappa value of single and double root canal types between CBCT and canal staining and clearing technique was 0.847 (P<0.001). The Kappa value of Vertucci root canal types between CBCT and canal staining and clearing technique was 0.861 (P<0.001). The detection rates of root canal branch structure were 8.19% and 22.95%, respectively, with significant difference between the two methods (P=0.025). The canal staining and clearing technique was significantly better than CBCT in detection of root canal branch structure., Conclusions: CBCT can reflect the root canal types nearly perfectly, but inferior to canal staining and clearing technique in detection of root canal branch structure, CBCT is a relatively accurate clinical diagnosis tool of root canal morphology.

Low temperature stresses (-3 and -5 °C) were simulated using artificial temperature-controlled phytotrons to study the freezing rate, the contents of endogenous hormones, and the activities of antioxidative enzymes in the leaves of wheat plants of Yangmai 16 (YM 16) and Xumai 30 (XM 30) at jointing stage. The grade and index of freezing injury increased with lower temperature and longer stress. The freezing rate was at the 5th level and the main stems and tillers of both cultivars were finally dead under -5 °C lasting for 72 h. On the last day of stress initiation, the contents of abscisic acid (ABA) and zeatin riboside (ZR), and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxide dismutase (POD), and catalase (CAT) in leaves increased at the beginning and then declined as low temperature progressed. On the 3rd day after stress, the contents of ABA and ZR and the activities of antioxidative enzymes were higher than those on the last day of cold stress, and then reduced to the level of the control on the 6th day after stress. The content of gibberellins (GA3) was lowered by cold stress. For YM 16, GA3 content increased from the 3rd day to the 6th day after cold stress, whereas, for XM 30, it increased first and then decreased. For the treatment of -5 °C lasting for 72 h, the contents of hormones and the activities of antioxidative enzymes were significantly lower than those of the other treatments. Correlation analyses showed that higher ABA and ZR contents, and higher SOD, POD and CAT activities as well as lower GA3 content could alleviate the low-temperature injury in wheat plants under low temperature stress.

Nano-rutile TiO2 photocatalysts with bigger specific surface area were prepared by a hydrolysis method at 323 K, and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflection spectroscopy (UV-Vis DRS), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and photoelectrochemical (PEC). The ultraviolet (UV) and visible light photocatalytic activities of as-prepared rutile and anatase TiO2 nano-photocatalysts with almost same specific surface areas were evaluated by methyl orange (MO) as mode compound to photocatalytic reaction. The results of the photocatalytic experiment shows that when rutile and anatase have the similar specific surface area of approximately 95 m2.g-1, the UV light photocatalytic activity of rutile is comparable to that of anatase, while rutile shows significantly higher visible light photocatalytic activities than anatase. The photoelectrochemical experiment shows that the order of photocurrent densities of the catalysts from weak to strong is in accordance with the order of UV light photocatalytic activities of the catalysts from low to high under UV light irradiation.

Objective: To improve the knowledge of Kaposi sarcoma and the relationship between Kaposi sarcoma and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, and to improve the ability to diagnose and treat Kaposi sarcoma and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)., Methods: Symptoms, signs and results of 121 patients encountered in the department of otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery in Tanzania, who was diagnosed as Kaposi sarcoma actually with HIV infection and AIDS, were retrospectively analyzed in this study., Results: There were 46 males and 75 females with age ranged from 5 to 65 years, medium 30 year. The mucous membranes and skin lesions was the most commonly seen clinical manifestation in 121 cases, these lesions appeared as raised blotches or lumps that might be purple, brown, or red, early stages typical lesions began as flat or slightly raised colored spots. Among the cases reported here, 25 patients (20.66%) showed progressive nose blockage and nose bleeding and the purple-red new-grows were found in the nose of these patients. Fifteen patients (12.40%) had flat or slightly raised colored spots in their mucous membrane of mouth (palate or tongue), and in other 7 patients, purple small lumps were found in the gums of the patients. There were same lesions in their pharynx in 9 cases. In 10 patients (8.26%), Kaposi sarcoma was found in tonsil looked like tonsillitis with enlarged tonsils by two to three degree. Twelve patients (9.92%) had masses in the neck with no pain. Thirty-five patients (28.92%)had lesions of purple black nodules, including 10 patients who had the same lesions with ulcer formation in the nodules. All patients had been followed-up for at least two-years. Eighty-five patients passed away in one year, survival rate of one year was 21.48% (26/121), only 12 patients survived from the disease over two years, two years' survival rate was 9.92% (12/121)., Conclusions: Kaposi sarcoma is the characteristic disease for AIDS, mainly found on the membranes and skin. These lesions appears as raised blotches or lumps that may be purple, brown, or red, early stages typical lesions begin as flat or slightly raised colored spots. Patients who had kaposi sarcoma often died in a short-time without treatment.

Natural product is an important source of new drug research and development (R&D). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) innovation is the key step for its modernization and internationalization. However, due to the complexity of TCM, there are many difficulties and confusions in this process. Target-based drug discovery is the mainstream model and method of R&D. TTD, short for therapeutic target database, is developed by National University of Singapore. Besides a large amount of information on drug targets, the database also contains considerable information related to natural products. This paper briefly introduces the TTD, analyzes the natural products derived drugs/compounds recorded in TTD, which we think might provide some inspiration for the innovation of TCM.

The objective of the present study was to compare two methods for the precision of estimating leaf water content (LWC) in winter wheat by combining stepwise regression method and partial least squares (SRM-PLS) or PLS based on the relational degree of grey relational analysis (GRA) between water vegetation indexes (WVIs) and LWC. Firstly, data utilized to analyze the grey relationships between LWC and the selected typical WVIs were used to determine the sensitivity of different WVIs to LWC. Secondly, the two methods of estimating LWC in winter wheat were compared, one was to directly use PLS and the other was to combine SRM and PLS, and then the method with the highest determination coefficient (R2) and lowest root mean square error (RMSE) was selected to estimate LWC in winter wheat. The results showed that the relationships between the first five WVI and LWC were stable by using GRA, and then LWC was estimated by using PLS and SRM-PLS at the whole stages with the R2 and RMSEs being 0.605 and 0.575, 4.75% and 7.35%, respectively. The results indicated that the estimation accuracy of LWC could be improved by using GRA firstly and then by using PLS and SRM-PLS.

By using a free-air controlled enrichment (FACE) system, this paper studied the effects of elevated atmospheric ozone (O3) concentration (150% of ambient O3) on the flag leaf photosynthetic pigment contents of wheat varieties Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Jiaxin 002, Yangmai 15, and Yangfumai 2. For the test varieties, no significant differences were observed in the flag leaf chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll (a+b), and carotenoid contents between treatments elevated O3 concentration and ambient O3 at booting and anthesis stages, but the photosynthetic pigment contents in treatment elevated O3 concentration all decreased after anthesis, with a significant decrease of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and chlorophyll (a+b) contents, which indicated that elevated O3 had minor effects on the synthesis of photosynthetic pigments but accelerated their decline process. Different wheat varieties had genetic difference in the responses of flag leaf photosynthetic pigment contents to elevated O3, among which, Yangmai 15 and Jiaxin 002 had better tolerance to ozone stress. The flag leaf chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, and chlorophyll (a+b) contents at grain-filling stage (about 21 days after anthesis) had a significant positive correlation with the 1000-grain mass.

By using FACE (Free-Air Controlled Environment)-ozone system, a field plot experiment was conducted in 2008-2009 to study the effects of elevated ozone (O3) concentration on the flag leaf microscopic structure, chlorophyll content, and grain weight of wheat. Two treatments were installed, i. e., ambient O3 and 150% of ambient O3, and four winter varieties, i. e., Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Jiaxin 002, and Yangfumai 2, were taken as the test materials. At anthesis, elevated O3 concentration had a slight damage to the flag leaf microscopic structure. The mesophyll cell and chloroplast structure began destroying, and the grana lamellae started breaking and loosing. Twenty-one days after anthesis, the differences in the leaf microscopic structure between the two treatments became significant. Under elevated O3, the flag leaf senescence was accelerated, with the endomembrane system disintegrated, grana lamella disappeared, and corpus adiposum inside chloroplast broken down, resulting in a significant decrease of the chlorophyll content, photosynthesis rate, and grain weight at maturing stage. Significant difference was observed among the test varieties in their responses to elevated O3. Jiaxin 002 was tolerant, while Yangfumai 2 was sensitive to the ozone stress.

In order to further assess the feasibility of monitoring the chlorophyll fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm in compact corn by hyperspectral remote sensing data, in the present study, hyperspectral vegetation indices from in-situ remote sensing measurements were utilized to monitor the chlorophyll fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm measured in the compact corn experiment. The relationships were analyzed between hyperspectral vegetation indices and Fv/Fm, and the monitoring models were established for Fv/Fm in the whole growth stages of compact corn. The results indicated that Fv/Fm was significantly correlated to the hyperspectral vegetation indices. Among them, structure-sensitive pigment index (SIPI) was the most sensitive remote sensing variable for monitoring Fv/Fm with correlation coefficient (r) of 0.88. The monitoring model of Fv/Fm was established on the base of SIPI, and the determination coefficients (r2) and the root mean square errors (RMSE) were 0.8126 and 0.082 respectively. The overall results suggest that hyperspectral vegetation indices can be potential indicators to monitor Fv/Fm during growth stages of compact corn.

This paper presented a new and simple assessment method for the quality of ecological monitoring data. This method theorized the associations between the data reliability as an ordinal variable with different number of classes and the data sources such as natural main ecological processes, secondary ecological processes, and extraneous and exotic processes, and offered a new data quality index to estimate the quality of the whole dataset by using the reasonableness ratio of observations. The assessment results provided the reliability class of each dataset, good explanations for outlier (or error data) flagging decisions, and quality value of the whole dataset. The method was applied to assess two tree growth datasets from Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN), and the results demonstrated that the new data quality index could quantitatively evaluate the quality of the tree growth datasets. The new method would facilitate the development of corresponding software.

Objective: To improve the recognition of clinical manifestation of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) in otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery, and to emphasize the early diagnosis, correct treatment and effective protection., Methods: Fifty-five patients with HIV infection and AIDS encountered in the department of otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery in Tanzania were included in this study. There were 23 males and 32 female with age ranged from 3 - 67 years, medium 31 year. The clinical manifestation and prognosis of the patients were analyzed and summed up., Results: Parotid glands swelling was the most commonly seen clinical manifestation in the 55 cases. Among the cases reported here, 17 (30.9%) showed parotid glands swelling, 19 (34.5%) had Kaposi's sarcoma in nasal cavity or oral cavity or pharynx, 12(21.8%) were accompanied with chronic suppurative otitis media, 11 (20.0%) had masses in the neck, 7 (12.7%) had masses in the pharynx, 6 (10.9%) were seen to have ulcer in oral and pharyngeal mucosa, 2 (3.6%) showed infection due to candidaalbicans. The infection in most cases could be controlled and symptoms relieved, but recurrence could occur over time and got worse gradually., Conclusions: Many patients with HIV infection and AIDS first see a doctor in otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery. Patients who had the above clinical manifestations in repeated poor results should be observed carefully, early diagnosis and treatment are important to prevent transmission, prolong life and maximize the quality of life of the patients.

In 2006-2009, a Free-Air Controlled Enrichment (FACE) system was applied to study the effects of elevated ozone concentration ([O3]) on the grain protein components and their dynamics of four winter wheat varieties Yannong 19, Yangmai 16, Yangmai 15, and Yangfumai 2. Two levels of [O3] were installed, i. e., ambient level (CK-O3) and 50% higher than the ambient level (E-O3). With the increase of [O3], the grain protein content of the varieties increased, with the increment being 7.55% - 16.37% (2006 - 2007), 4.93% - 22.63% (2007 - 2008), and 2.29% - 17.65% (2008 - 2009) in the three years, respectively, and the differences between treatments, varieties, and years being all significant. Adversely, the grain protein yield was decreased significantly by 1.83% - 11.64% (2006 - 2007), - 0.41% - 24.22% (2007 - 2008), and -1.90% - 15.81% (2008 - 2009), respectively in the three years. The contents of four grain protein components (albumin, globulin, gliadin, and glutenin) were significantly higher under E-O3 than under CK-O3, and the differences between treatments, varieties, and years were significant, except the albumin and glutenin contents between treatments.

To study the effects of soil water content on the photosynthesis, fluorescence parameters, and root growth of greenhouse cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), a pot experiment was conducted, using a negative pressure water supplying and controlling device to control soil moisture regime. Seven levels of water supply tension (WST), i. e., 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 kPa, were designed. The WST was inversely proportional to soil water content, and the gravimetric soil water content was maintained in the range of 14.23%-42.32%. With increasing WST, the leaf net photosynthetic rate (P(n)) in different growth periods showed a parabolic trend, being higher when the WST was 7-11 kPa at initial flowering stage, and was 3-5 kPa at fruiting stage. The reason for the decreased P(n) at 9-13 kPa WST was stomatal limitation. Under 1-5 kPa WST, the actual photochemical efficiency (phi(PS II) had a high value, and the possibility of photo inhibition was small. Both the leaf transpiration rate and the chlorophyll content were positively correlated with leaf P(n) in different growth periods. Root growth and activity also had a parabolic trend with increasing WST. The maximum root dry mass and root activity happened at 7 kPa and 5 kPa WST, respectively. Our results indicated that a WST of 3-7 kPa was more profitable for the leaf photosynthesis and root growth of greenhouse cucumber.

Objective: To investigate the changes of biological characteristics of breast cancer cell line by cyclin E expression., Methods: Human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 was transfected with cyclin E siRNA vector pEGFP/CCNE2. siRNA-induced silencing of cyclin E was determined by RT-PCR at RNA level and Western blot at protein level. The proliferation of MCF-7 cells and their sensitivity to chemotherapy was measured by CCK-8 assay. The cells were examined by FCM. The cell line was injected into nude mice and the tumor size was measured., Results: The expression of cyclin E was inhibited in the MCF-7 cells. The relative expression level of cyclin E mRNA was 0.23 +/- 0.05, and that of cyclin E protein was 0.24 +/- 0.05. The cell growth was inhibited by 68.56% +/- 0.08%, and their sensitivity to chemotherapy was increased. Most cells were blocked at G(1) (77.38%), their tumorigenic ability in nude mice was reduced, and the size of tumor formed in mice of the experimental group was decreased than that of controls., Conclusion: Inhibition of cyclin E expression in breast cancer cells can block their cell cycle at G(1) phase, reduce their cell growth, differentiation and proliferation, and increase their sensitivity to chemotherapy.

Based on the survey of the fishes in low salinity intertidal area of the Yangtze estuary from spring (May) 2006 to winter (February) 2007, the seasonal and semi-lunar changes of fish species and abundances were analyzed. A total of 53 fish species were collected, most of which belonged to Cyprinidae, followed by Gobiidae, and few of other families. The fish species and average abundance were higher in spring, summer, and autumn than in winter and lower in low tides than in high tides in four seasons. Shannon-Weaver (H') value had a greater fluctuation in a tidal cycle, and was appreciably lower in low tides than in high tides. The fish species and abundance were clustered into two groups, i. e., that of winter, and of the other seasons. As for the whole year, the abundance had the highest positive correlation with water temperature, then with tide height, and lowest with water salinity.
