Chinese Baijiu industry is undergoing industrial modernization. However, the key processes including Daqu processing are directly modified based on empirical knowledge, and the lack of engineering mechanisms lead to the inability of rational design. Here, this study quantitatively analyzed the heat generation and flow during Daqu solid-state fermentation, tracked and recorded the parameters during Daqu processing, simplified the biochemical reactions of the fermentation process, and built a Daqu heat balance model. Through the model, the heat generated during the whole fermentation process was transferred outside of the system through three ways: Water evaporation (54. 22% ), conduction of wall and air flow (42. 00% ), and air temperature rising ( < 1% ). The remaining heat (3. 77% ) was the cumulative heat, which was positively correlated with the temperature rise of the Daqu ( R² =0.85). It was verified that the average error of the model for the temperature change of dacquoise was 5. 05% with R² = 0. 94. Based on the model, the effect of regulating moisture parameters on the temperature of Daqu was explored, which showed the importance of moisture control for regulating the temperature during Daqu preparation. Through the preliminary exploration of the feasibility of regulating and optimizing the future production of Daqu from the perspective of mathematical modeling, the results of the study can provide theoretical support for the construction of modern fermentation process. The complex hydrogeological conditions in karst areas lead to frequent water seepage and water gushing disasters in tunnels, which often require supporting drainage systems to prevent and control water hazards. When the karst groundwater with high salinity enters the tunnel drainage pipe, the solubility of soluble salt ions in water changes with the variation of external temperature and pressure conditions, forming saturated solution. Ions crystallize and precipitate, sticking to the inner wall of the drainage pipe, which will contribute to decreasing its flow area. If not treated, in the long run, the drainage pipe will be blocked, resulting in the increase of water pressure in the tunnel lining. Consequently, it is likely to occur a series of tunnel water hazards such as water leakage, water gushing, mud outburst, lining damage, etc., which may seriously threaten the safety of tunnel construction and operation. For quantitative research on the crystallization blocking process of tunnel drainage system, we constructed the blocking model of karst water crystallization in drainage pipes for the first time, coupling with the pipeline hydrodynamic field, the concentration field and the chemical reaction field. Meanwhile, with methods of dynamic mesh and level set, we quantitatively expounded the crystallization blocking process in the tunnel drainage system. We also carried out a comparative study on different simulation technologies to analyze the influence of such factors as temperature, velocity, solute concentration, etc. on the blocking of crystallization. The results show that: (1) Both of the two methods can simulate and predict the crystallizing process, among which the dynamic mesh method is simpler and its solving accuracy is relatively higher, and the level set method can be used to simulate the further deposition after the topological shape has been changed (i.e., completely blocked). (2) Crystallization blocking mainly occurs in the transverse tube, where more crystalline precipitates are developed, because the flow velocity in the longitudinal tube is generally higher than that in the transverse tube, and the CaCO3 crystal concentration in the transverse tube is higher than that in the longitudinal tube. (3) Temperatures and solution concentrations are positively correlated with the crystallization rate, while the flow rate is negatively correlated with it. (4) Given the coupling of hydrodynamic reaction with chemical reactions, the numerical model of crystallization blocking can provide technical support for the early identification and safety evaluation of geological hazards of karst tunnels. Precise navigation technology is the key to performing the important function for hypersonic vehicle (HV) However, the high Mach number and strong maneuverability make the navigation system error and make the observation noise of HV hard to be accurately described, so as to constrain the navigation information accuracy and real-time performance. In order to obtain high predition navigation information in time, the Kalman after algorithm based on the set membership framework is proposed. on the one hand the multi agent distributed cooperative detection is adopted to get the intersection of observation elipsoid, which improves the observation efficiency and measurement accuracy. On the other hand, two kinds of error models are designed and used to solve the minimum mean square error together of the state estimation in order to calculate the filtering gain. The antidisturbance ablitty of the proposed algorithm to noise is improved and the mean square error of the state estimation can reach the minimum value Through digital stimulation, the proposed method is applied to the navigation model compared with the state estimation of the extended Kalman after and membership after. Objective: To investigate the predictive value of left ventricular global longitudinal peak strain (GLPS) for the prognosis of septic patients., Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted. Patients diagnosed with sepsis and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University from December 2018 to November 2019 were enrolled. The patient characteristics, cardiac ultrasound parameters [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF), four-dimensional ejection fraction (4DEF), GLPS] and cardiac biomarkers [N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), cardiac troponin T (cTnT)] within 24 hours of ICU admission, organ support therapies, severity of illness, and prognostic indicators were documented. The differences in clinical parameters between patients with varying outcomes during ICU hospitalization were assessed. Pearson correlation analysis was employed to explore the correlation between GLPS and other cardiac systolic parameters, as well as the associations between various cardiac systolic parameters and sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score. Receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC curve) was drawn to analyze the predictive capacity of cardiac ultrasound parameters and cardiac biomarkers for death during ICU hospitalization in septic patients., Results: A total of 50 septic patients were enrolled, with 40 surviving and 10 dying during ICU hospitalization, resulting in a mortality of 20.0%. All patients in the death group were male. Compared with the survival group, the patients in the death group were older, had a higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus, and received continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) more frequently, additionally, they exhibited more severe illness and had longer length of ICU stay. The levels of GLPS and cTnT in the death group were significantly elevated as compared with the survival group [GLPS: -7.1% (-8.5%, -7.0%) vs. -12.1% (-15.5%, -10.4%), cTnT (μg/L): 0.07 (0.05, 0.08) vs. 0.03 (0.02, 0.13), both P < 0.05]. However, no statistically significant difference was found in other cardiac ultrasound parameters or cardiac biomarkers between the two groups. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between GLPS and LVEF (r = -0.377, P = 0.014) and 4DEF (r = -0.697, P = 0.000), while no correlation was found with RVEF (r = -0.451, P = 0.069). GLPS demonstrated a positive correlation with SOFA score (r = 0.306, P = 0.033), while LVEF (r = 0.112, P = 0.481), RVEF (r = -0.134, P = 0.595), and 4DEF (r = -0.251, P = 0.259) showed no significant correlation with SOFA score. ROC curve analysis indicated that the area under the ROC curve (AUC) of GLPS for predicting death during ICU hospitalization in septic patients was higher than other cardiac systolic parameters, including LVEF, RVEF, and 4DEF, as well as cardiac biomarkers NT-proBNP and cTnT (0.737 vs. 0.628, 0.556, 0.659, 0.580 and 0.724). With an optimal cut-off value of -14.9% for GLPS, the sensitivity and negative predictive value reached to 100%., Conclusions: GLPS < -14.9% within 24 hours of ICU admission in septic patients indicated a reduced risk of death risk during ICU hospitalization, while also correlating with the severity of organ dysfunction in this patient population.

This expert consensus uses clinical research evidence to explain the mechanism, monitoring and evaluation of sepsis-induced immunosuppression, and treatment with immune stimulation from two aspects: innate immunity and acquired immunity, aiming to help clinicians better understand sepsis-induced immune depression and its clinical significance. Clinical data suggest that the immune dysfunction is critically involved in the occurrence and development of sepsis. Quantitative detection of monocyte human leukocyte antigen DR and lymphocyte count can be used as important indicators to reflect the innate immune and acquired immune dysfunction in patients with sepsis. Immunomodulation therapy includes medication to improve innate immunity and acquired immunity, and immune stimulation combined with anti-inflammatory response.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between plasma oxidative stress factors levels and organ damage parameters as well as prognosis in patients with sepsis., Methods: A case-control study was conducted. Twenty-five patients admitted to surgical intensive care unit (ICU) of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from March to December in 2016 and diagnosed as sepsis were enrolled as study subjects. Another 15 patients without sepsis admitted to surgical ICU in the same period were enrolled as controls. General demographic data, main diagnoses, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) score within 24 hours, clinical laboratory indicators [alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), serum creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), white blood count (WBC)] and oxidative stress indicators [superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO)] as well as length of ICU stay, total hospital stay and 28-day mortality were recorded. Spearman or Pearson correlation method was used to analyze the correlation between oxidative stress indicators and organ damage indicators as well as prognosis in patients with sepsis. Receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted to evaluate the predictive value of oxidative stress indicators for 28-day mortality in patients with sepsis., Results: The length of ICU stay in sepsis group was significantly longer than that in non-sepsis group [days: 7.0 (5.5, 11.0) vs. 4.0 (1.0, 11.0), P < 0.05], and AST, BUN, CRP, PCT, plasma MDA and NO levels were significantly higher than those in non-sepsis group [AST (U/L): 50.76±19.53 vs. 28.53±14.02, BUN (mmol/L): 9.99±5.26 vs. 6.97±4.32, CRP (mg/L): 109.28±42.79 vs. 60.33±46.68, PCT (μg/L): 5.4 (0.3, 24.0) vs. 0.6 (0.1, 1.5), MDA (ng/L): 488.31±76.68 vs. 399.30±50.23, NO (ng/L): 5.08±0.89 vs. 4.42±0.88, all P < 0.05]. There was no significant difference in gender, age, APACHE II score, total hospital stay, 28-day mortality, ALT, SCr, WBC or plasma SOD activity between the two groups. The correlation analysis between oxidative stress parameters and organ damage parameters as well as prognosis in patients with sepsis showed that MDA and NO were positively correlated with SCr (r value was 0.426 and 0.431, respectively, both P < 0.05), and there was a positive correlation between MDA and NO (r = 0.990, P < 0.01); plasma SOD activity was negatively correlated with 28-day mortality (r = -0.468, P < 0.05), while MDA and NO levels were positively correlated with 28-day mortality (r value was 0.598 and 0.611, respectively, both P < 0.01). ROC curve analysis showed that plasma SOD, MDA and NO levels had a good independent predictive effect on 28-day mortality, the area under ROC curve (AUC) was 0.816±0.087, 0.904±0.078 and 0.912±0.071, and the best cut-off value was 40.76% (sensitivity 68.4%, specificity 100%), 487.93 ng/L (sensitivity 83.3%, specificity 89.5%) and 5.31 ng/L (sensitivity 83.3%, specificity 89.5%), respectively., Conclusions: The plasma levels of oxidative stress factors in patients with sepsis are significantly increased, which is closely related to organ damage and poor prognosis. The plasma SOD, MDA and NO levels can be used as independent bio-marker to predict the 28-day mortality of patients with sepsis.

Objective: To investigate the protective effects of P2X7 receptor (P2X7R) inhibitor against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats and the possible mechanisms.
 Methods: The neurological deficit of rats was evaluated by Longa score. The infarct volume was examined by 2, 3, 5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining. The expression levels of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), phosphorylation extracellular signal-regulated kinas p-ERK), connexin 43 (Cx43), Bax, Bcl-2 and cleaved caspase-3 were detected by Western blot.
 Results: Compared with sham group, the neurobehavioral score (P<0.05) and cerebral infarct volume (P<0.01) of rats in I/R group was increased. Compared with I/R group, brilliant blue G (BBG, the antagonist of P2X7R) or PD98059 (the inhibitor of EKR kinase) could reduce the neurobehavioral score (P<0.01) and cerebral infarct volume significantly (P<0.05). The neurobehavioral score and cerebral infarct volume was further decreased (P<0.05) when rats were treated with both BBG and PD98059. Compared with I/R group, the expression levels of p-ERK, Cx43, cleaved caspase-3 and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 were decreased by BBG or PD98059 pretreatment, and the protective effects were further enhanced when rats were treated with both BBG and PD98059 (P<0.05).
 Conclusion: Inhibition of P2X7R reduces the cerebral I/R injury of rats. ERK inhibition is probably involved in the protective effects of P2X7R inhibitor against cerebral I/R injury, which may be related to the reduction of Cx43 and cleaved caspase-3, and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2.

Objective: To investigate the clinical value of lung ultrasound in the late goal -directed fluid removal in critically ill patients underwent fluid resuscitation., Methods: A prospective study was conducted. Forty patients underwent fluid resuscitation were enrolled in the Department of Surgical Intensive Care Unit of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from Jan 2015 to June 2015. Lung and heart ultrasound were conducted for lung B-lines and left ventricular ejection fraction (EF). Serum amino-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), central venous pressure (CVP) and serum creatinine were also measured and fluid balance was recorded in all patients enrolled., Results: Among the 40 patients enrolled, 35 patients survived and 5 died. In patients survived, B-lines reached its peak at 12(30)h after admitted to ICU. It started to decrease instantly after the peak and reached zero at (39±34) h. A higher peak was followed with more fluids to be removed later and longer ICU stay (P<0.01). Moreover, when compared with the survivors, B-lines in death reached a higher peak[7(8) vs 3(4), P<0.01]and without the tendency to drop down. EF was lower in death than in survivor (44.5%±3.5% vs 69.2%±11.0%, P<0.05). A lower EF was found to be followed with a higher peak of B-lines. The peak time of NT-proBNP and clinical dehydration treatment were later than the peak time of B-lines in survivors., Conclusions: Fluid overloading occurs in late stage after resuscitation in critically ill patients. Lung ultrasound B-lines, which is more sensitive than the NT-proBNP and CVP, could help to monitor the patient's fluid status and guide the late goal-directed fluid removal.

Objective: To compare the biological behaviors of two drug-resistant testicular cancer cell lines established by different methods., Methods: Drug-resistance was induced in testicular cancer cell lines exposure of the cells to increasing concentrations of or a high dose of cisplatin (I-10/DDPi and I-10/DDPh cell lines, respectively). The morphological characteristics of the two cell lines were observed microscopically. The resistance index of the cells was determined with MTT assay, and the cell growth curves were drawn. The cellular expression of resistance-associated proteins MDR1 and P-gp was detected by Western blotting. The cell invasion ability was assessed with Transwell assay., Results: Normal testicular cancer cell line I-10 and the two resistant cell lines all showed an adherent growth pattern. Compared with I-10 cells, I-10/DDP cells exhibited slightly heterogenous cell sizes, irregular shapes, the presence of microvilli tentacles on the cell surface, and a scattered arrangement. The cisplatin resistance index of I-10/DDPi and I-10/DDPh cells were 3.924 and 3.099, respectively. Compared with I-10, the drug-resistant cell lines showed extended doubling time with increased expressions of MDR1 and P-gp and increased cell invasiveness, which was especially obvious in I-10/DDPi cells., Conclusion: Both increasing dose exposure and high-dose exposure to cisplatin can induce cisplatin resistance in testicular cancer cells, and the resistant cells established by the latter method better mimics clinical drug-resistant tumor cells.
