In order to improve the anti-felting properties of wool fabrics, the terminal amino hyperbranched polymer (HBP--NH
2 ) was covalently bound to wool fibers through the cross-linking of trimethylol phosphate (THP), and the anti-felting, antibacterial and dyeing properties as well as breaking strength of finished fabrics were measured. The results showed that the felting rate of wool fabric decreased from 20.69% to 17.31% when treated with hyperbranched polymer, which did not fulfill the requirements of anti-felting for wool fabric ; after treatment with THP/ HBP--NH2 , the felting rate of wool fabric decreased to 7.43%, which can meet the requirements of machine washable standard, furthermore, the inhibition rate reached 92.37%, and the dyeing performance of wool was significantly improved under the low temperature conditions.
