Numerical marine environment forecast has five characteristics which are multi-numerical models, multi-coupling processes, multi-result, more throughput and multi-user. Based on the above characteristics, the construction of the supporting platform of the marine environment forecast is proposed. An online coupler (HYCPL) for multi-coupling processes, a model library (HYLIB) for multinumerical models, multi-parameterization schemes and multi-statistical methods, a test and evaluation tool (HYET) for multi-result, a parallel access and storage tool (HYI/O) for more throughput and a one-click installation package (HY1KEY) for multi-user running environment are designed.
