[Purpose/Significance] Analyzing the process and development achievements of the research on Humanities and Social Sciences carried out by UNESCO in recent years will help to promote China's international participation and research level, and enhance China's discourse power in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. [Method/Process]Using the methods of informetrics and scientific knowledge graph, this paper analyzes the topic structure, hotspot areas, evolution trend and international cooperation of UNESCO research in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences from 2011 to 2020. [Results/Conclusions]The research on Humanities and Social Sciences of UNESCO has obvious interdisciplinary characteristics. Ecological environment, educational research and political ecology are its hot research fields, and sustainable development is the core topic throughout. In the international cooperation of UNESCO, European countries occupy the leading position. China should rely on its advantages, pay attention to interdisciplinary research and hot field research, promote international cooperation, and enhance its influence and voice.

[Purpose/significance] It is important for developing our first- class universities to show the main features of universities in C9 League, and reveal the gaps between universities in C9 League and other top universities. [Method/process] Selecting universities in C9 League and other Asian first-class universities as examples, it performed the statistical analysis of their informetric characteristics. This paper found out the overall profile and major characteristics of these universities. [Result/conclusion] China’s top universities have developed rapidly in recent years, especially in the total academic output, but we need more efforts to improve our academic influence.

In recent years, the research performance evaluation of members of the academic community conducted by government or institutions has been applied with multiple indicators and peer review, however, there are many controversies about the design and application of research evaluation indicators. This article aims to introduce the development process of San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and Leiden Manifesto and summarize their contents of guidelines and attempts to compare the differences between these two documents. It hopes that this article can arise the attention and reflection of research evaluation indicators and relevant issues from Taiwan academic community to reach consensus of utilization of research evaluation indicators. It will be beneficial to develop the version of declaration with local characteristics in the future.

In this study, we used the approach of topic modeling to uncover the possible structure of research topics in the field of Informetrics, to explore the distribution of the topics over years, and to compare the core journals. In order to infer the structure of the topics in the field, the data of the papers published in the Journal of Informetricsand Scientometrics during 2007 to 2013 are retrieved from the database of the Web of Science as input of the approach of topic modeling. The results of this study show that when the number of topics was set to 10, the topic model has the smallest perplexity. Although data scopes and analysis methodsare different to previous studies, the generating topics of this study are consistent with those results produced by analyses of experts. Empirical case studies and measurements of bibliometric indicators were concerned important in every year during the whole analytic period, and the field was increasing stability. Both the two core journals broadly paid more attention to all of the topics in the field of Informetrics. The Journal of Informetricsput particular emphasis on construction and applications ofbibliometric indicators and Scientometrics focused on the evaluation and the factors of productivity of countries, institutions, domains, and journals.

The study investigated publishing behaviors of high productivity authors who have ever published papers in biomedical open access journals (OAJ). In this study, 2,927 academic papers published by 30 high productivity authors were collected from Web of Science (WOS) database. The results of this study showed that: 1) the categories of the academic journals and in which thenumber of the 30 productivity authors’ papers are displaying power law distribution;2) the percentage of the 2,927 papers in OAJ is 36% and is increasing year by year;3) the correlation between journal impact factor and the number of the papers is modestly positive correlated; 4) with regard to the number of paper citation, the correlation between the mean journal impact factor and the citation of the papers is highly positive correlated; it’s notable that, in this study, to be compared with non-OAJ, OAJhas no citation advantage to these high productivity authors, and this result differs from the predecessors’ researches.

This study investigates Literature Researches in Taiwan in a viewpoint of outside researcher. The methodology of Informetrics will be used to analyze citations of Chinese Literature and Foreign Literature’s research papers which had been published in Taiwan from 1996 to 2006. The citation types, citation disciplines, citation languages and citing half-life are examined. On average, the number of citations of each research paper of Foreign Literature is 22.72; the number of Chinese Literature is 18.66. The self-citation rate of Chinese Literature is 61.25%; the rate for Foreign Literature is 13.90%. Research papers on Chinese Literature have great interaction with General Literature, Philosophy, and History, but Foreign Literature papers have great interaction with Social Science. The major citation types of both Chinese Literature and Foreign Literature are “Book”. The written language of cited works is English for Foreign Literature; the written language of cited works is Chinese for Chinese Literature. The citing half-life of Chinese Literature is 19.29 years and that of Foreign Literature is 11.96 years. The citations of Chinese Literature have much larger time span and then have comparatively long influences. In general, with comparison to researches on Foreign Literature, Chinese Literature in Taiwan is relatively closed and independent and has little interaction with other disciplines except Philosophy, History and itself. 無Bibliometrics, scientometrics and informetrics are three measuring techniques in library and information science. The differences among these three metricses are unclear in some aspects. This paper traces the origins of their definitions. Moreover, the scope, fundamental principles and laws, potential applications and future development of these metricses are also discussed.

Major topics of Tourism discipline include the display and analysis of research fields, academic representatives, key institutions and influential literature. Based on the theory of Mapping Knowledge, this paper is intended to analyse in a visual way key words, contributing authors, posting institutions, cited authors and journals together with other relevant citations available from the Chinese Social Citation Index (CSSCI) between 2000 and 2012. To retrieve the information input LY09 ; XW = $ 120502. The total of 8412 articles available were analysed by CSSCIREC software and Citiespace. The latter being invented by Professor Chen Chaomei of Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA. A team led by Ma Yaofeng, Zhang Jie, Lu Lin and Zhang Jinhe came to the conclusion, after the analysis, that tourism discipline research focuses mainly on the fields of tourism resources, Eco-tourism, tourism development, tourism economy and so forth. The above mentioned co-operation is relatively unusual as other researchers tend to work independently of others. A similar situation exists with the relationship between research institutions. However, colleges and universities in the tourism discipline of research collaborate much more closely. The books and papers of Bao Jigang, Zhang Tie and Lu Lin are the most important of the tourism research cited literature items. Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Tribune, Economic Geography Human Geography and many other journals are Tourism Discipline cited references.
