Svrha ovog rada je objasniti princip rada plinske turbine te sastav i ulogu LNG goriva u suzbijanju onečišćenja okoliša, kao i njegovu iskoristivost kao goriva za pogon plinskih turbina. U radu su tekstom i slikama opisani termodinamički procesi na kojima se temelji rad plinske turbine i dijelovi plinske turbine te njihove uloge u njenom radu. Rad se dotiče i ekonomske iskoristivosti i mogućnosti korištenja same plinske turbine za pogon broda te korištenja LNG-a kao njenog goriva. Objašnjeni su i rezultati testiranja ispušnih plinova različitih plinskih turbina prilikom korištenja LNG-a te njihov utjecaj na zagađenje okoliša The purpose of this paper is to explain the principle of operation of the gas turbine and the composition and role of LNG fuel in combating enviromental pollution, as well as its usability as a fuel for the operation of gas turbines. Using the text and pictures, the paper describes the thermodynamic processes on which the operation of the gas turbine is based upon and parts of gas turbine as well as their role in its operation. The paper also touched on the economic utilization and feasibility of using gas turbine itself as ship's propulsion and the usage of LNG as its fuel. The results of the exhaust gas tests of different gas turbines when using LNG as a fuel and their impact on enviromental pollution are also explained.

Nove tehnologije zaštite okoliša u elektranama su tehnologije ĉiji je globalni cilj smanjenje emisija stakleniĉkih plinova, te uĉinkovitija i ĉišća proizvodnja energije. Takve tehnologije još uvijek nisu u potpunosti razvijene, te u usporedbi s termoelektranama koje nisu opremljene tim tehnologijama znatno su skuplje i neisplativije. Jedna od takvih tehnologija, koja je obraĊena u ovom radu je tehnologija hvatanja i skladištenja ugljikovog dioksida. Cilj ovog rada je ispitati utjecaj dodavanja ove tehnologije na izlaznu cijenu proizvodnje elektriĉne energije. U tu svrhu izvršen je proraĉun aktualiziranog troška, odnosno LCOE, te je grafiĉki prikazan kumulativni povrat investicije za termoelektrane sa i bez sustava za hvatanje i skladištenje ugljikovog dioksida. New enviromental technologies in power plants are technologies whose global goal is reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and more efficient and cleaner production of energy. These kind of technologies are still not entirely developed and, in comparsion with thermal power plants that are not equipped with these technologies, they are much more expensive and unprofitable. One of these technologies which was the theme of this final paper is the carbon dioxide capture and storage technology. The goal of this final paper was to examine the impact of adding this technology to output cost of production of electrical energy. For that purpose an actual cost of calculation was performed, ie LCOE, and the cumulative return on investment for power plants with and without a carbon dioxide capture and storage system was graphically shown.

Ovaj rad bavi se tematikom antropocena koja je u hrvatskoj znanstvenoj i popularnoj literaturi zanemarena, a sastavni je dio naše svakodnevnice. S obzirom da u hrvatskoj znanosti nedostaje prijevod strane literature, ali isto tako i interes za bavljenjem ekološkom geopolitikom, a posebice diskursom antropocena, ovaj rad važan je upravo iz razloga što je obogatio hrvatsku literaturu. Metoda ovog rada je pregledni rad jednog pojma. U prvom dijelu opisuje se povijesni razvoj novog geološkog razdoblja – antropocena, njegove implikacije i potencijalni ishodi u budućnosti ako čovječanstvo ne preuzme brigu za okoliš. Metoda drugog dijela rada je geopolitička analiza sigurnosti različitih područja u svijetu, a u tom dijelu razmatraju se sigurnosni izazovi i opasnosti koje prijete čovječanstvu već danas, ali i u ne tako dalekoj budućnosti ako glavni akteri ne preuzmu brigu o klimatskim promjenama. Ovaj pregledni rad dokazao je da je pitanje klimatskih promjena važno pitanje, a novo razdoblje antropocena razdoblje je čovjekovog predominantnog utjecaja na prirodu. Pojava antropocena i njegov razvoj geopolitički uvjetuje budućnost čovječanstva, s obzirom da su klimatske promjene postale sigurnosno pitanje. This paper deals with the topic of Anthropocene, which is neglected in Croatian scientific and popular literature and is an integral part of our everyday life. Since Croatian scientific literature on the topic lacks suitable translation of foreign literature, but also the interest in dealing with ecological geopolitics, and in particular the Anthropocene discourse, this work is important precisely because it enriches Croatian literature. The method of this paper is a review of one concept. The first part describes the historical development of a new geological period – Anthropocene, its implications and potential outcomes in the future if humanity does not take care for the environment. The second part of the paper is a geopolitical analysis of the security of various areas in the world, and in this section security challenges and dangers that threaten mankind today are considered but also in the not so distant future if the main actors do not take care of climate change. This paper has shown that the issue of climate change is an important issue, and the new period of the Anthropocene is a result of mankind's predominant impact on nature. The emergence of Anthropocene and its development geopolitically influences the future of humanity, considering that climate change has become a security issue.

Geološko skladištenje ugljičnog dioksida je jedna od mjera za sniženje njegove koncentracije u atmosferi. Duboki slani vodonosnici su najpovoljnija mjesta za skladištenje CO2, zbog velike površine prostiranja, položaja koji je nerijetko u blizini velikih industrijskih izvora CO2 i mehanizama uzamčivanja koji se javljaju tijekom različitog vremenskog perioda. Međutim, brojne su nesigurnosti u procjenama kapaciteta skladištenja ovih velikih stijenskih tijela. Nesigurnosti su uglavnom vezane uz nedostatak podataka. U doktorskoj disertaciji KOLENKOVIĆ (2012) kao potencijalni skladišni objekti, u zapadnom dijelu Savske depresije su izdvojeni Poljana pješčenjaci koji su također karakterizirani malim brojem podataka. U tom smislu jedan od kritičnih parametara prilikom procjene je poroznost. U ovom radu se htjela ispitati mogućnost procjene poroznosti izračunom težinske, odnosno ponderirane srednje vrijednosti. Kao težinski parametar, uz poroznost je odabrana efektivna debljina kako bi se bušotinama s većom efektivnom debljinom dao veći utjecaj na procjenu od onih s manjom. Time se htjela izbjeći konstrukcija karte poroznosti na temelju samo 20 bušotina. Uz poroznost, u radu se ispitala i mogućnost podjele područja istraživanja. Dosadašnji radovi su područje istraživanja diskretizirali mrežom blokova iz čijih su središta potom očitavane vrijednosti pojedinih parametara s pripadajućih karata. Takav postupak je vrlo složen i zahtijeva mnogo vremena, a s obzirom na premali broj podataka, dobiveni rezultati ovakvog istraživanja su i tako samo orijentacijskog karaktera i služe isključivo za usmjeravanje istraživanja, a nemaju izravnu primjenu pa bi bilo vrlo korisno pronaći jednostavniji način procjene, uz uvjet da dobiveni rezultati ipak ne odstupaju previše. Prema tome osmišljeno je pet novih načina izračuna kapaciteta skladištenja od kojih je svaki objašnjen i prikazan pripadajućom kartom efektivne debljine i tabličnim izračunom. Radi lakše usporedbe rezultata konstruiran je i dijagram te niz tabličnih prikaza raspodjele podataka. S obzirom na konačne rezultate kapaciteta skladištenja, ovakvo pojednostavljenje izračuna se može smatrati prihvatljivim i naći primjenu u prvoj fazi istraživanja, odnosno u utvrđivanja potencijala područja dubokog slanog vodonosnika za skladištenje CO2., Geological storage of CO2 is one of the measurements for reducing it's concentration in the atmosphere. Due to their big surface, empalcement near great industrial sources of CO2 and trapping mechanisms which occure during distinct periods of time the greatest storage potential is estimated in deep saline aquifers. However, there are many uncertainties in the estimates of the storage capacity of these large bodies of rock. Uncertainties are mainly related to the lack of data. In the PhD theseis made by Iva Kolenković, Poljana sandstones are isolated as a potential storage facilities in the western part of Sava Depression.These sandstones are also characterized by a small number of data. One of the critical parameters during the estimation is porosity. Object of this paper was to explore the possibility of calculating the weighted averages of porosity. With porosity, effective thickness was selected as a weight parameter, so that wells with greater effective thickness have a bigger impact on the assessment of those with less. The main intention of this procedure was to avoid construction of the porosity map based on such small amount of data (20 wells). Also, this paper examined the possibility of division of the area of research. The previous papers discretized the aquifer area with grid of blocks from whose centers were determined values of the parameters from the corresponding maps. This procedure is complicated and requiers a lot of time. Having in mind that due to lack of data the results of this level of research can be used only for directing the future researches and can not be directly applied, it would be very useful to find a simpler way of assessment provided that the results still do not differ too much. Therefore are designed five new methods of calculating the storage capacity. Every one of them is explained and illustrated with related map of effective thickness and tabular calculation. Also, an diagram and a series of tabular presentations of the distribution of data were designed to facilitate comparisons of results,. According to the final results of the storage capacity, presented simplification of calculation can be considered acceptable and find application in the first stage of research in determining the potential of deep saline aquifers for CO2 storage.

U ovom radu mjeri se adijabatski koeficijent ekspanzije plinova Argona, Helija, Dušika i Ugljikovg dioksida. Adijabatski koeficijent se dobije tako da se izmjeri period titranja klipa koji zatvara cilindar u kojem je plin i uvrsti se u relaciju za adijabatski koeficijent koja je dobivena iz diferencijalne jednadžbe. Dobiveni rezultat za Argon je γAr = 1,61 ± 0,07, za Helij γHe = 1,65 ± 0,02, za Dušik γN2 = 1,3 ± 0,03 i za Ugljikov dioksid γCO2 = 1,29 ± 0,05. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju da Argon i Helij imaju poklapanje u rezultatu što je i očekivano pošto se radi o jedno atomnom plinu, isto tako je za očekivati podudaranje kod Dušika i Ugljikovog dioksida pošto imaju jednak broj pobuđenih stupnjeva slobode, što se i dobilo. In this paper it is shown measurement of adiabatic coefficient for Argon, Helium, Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide. Measurement is done by measuring period of oscillation of piston in cylinder that contains the gas. The adiabatic coefficient is calculated by using the equation that is derived from a differential equation. Measurement for Argon is γAr = 1,61 ± 0,07, for Helium γHe = 1,65 ± 0,02, for Nitrogen γN2 = 1,3 ± 0,03 and for Carbon dioxide γCO2 = 1,29 ± 0,05. The measurements shows that Argon and Helium has overlap in result, which is expected, because they both has molecules with one atom. For Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide is expected to have overlap in measurements, because they have the same number of exited degrees of freedom, which results also shows.

Emisije štetnih tvari iz vozila važan su faktor razvoja novih motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem. Zbog njihovog negativnog utjecaja zakonom su propisane njihove granične vrijednosti i metode mjerenja. U ovom radu opisane su vrste emisija iz vozila i ispitne procedure za mjerenje emisija u Europi. Prikazani su simulacijski alati CO2MPAS i VECTO i njihov princip rada. Glavni razlozi njihova nastanka su problemi dugotrajnosti i veliki troškovi mjerenja emisija ugljikovog dioksida. Prema uzoru na princip rada dva opisana programa, napravljen je simulacijski alat za računanje nastalih emisija za vrijeme vožnje po proizvoljno zadanim ispitnim procedurama. Opisani su i objašnjeni računalni kôd i fizikalni principi prema kojima je alat modeliran. Prikazana je provjera rada programskog algoritma i smislenost njegovih rezultata. Emissions of harmful substances from vehicles are an important factor in the development of new internal combustion engines. Due to their negative impact, their limit values and measurement methods are prescribed by law. This paper describes the types of vehicle emissions and test procedures for measuring emissions in Europe. The simulation tools CO2MPAS and VECTO for measuring CO2 emissions are described. Problems of longevity and the high cost of measuring carbon dioxide emissions are some of many reasons for making this kind of software. Simulation tool for calculating the generated emissions while driving according to arbitrarily given test procedures was made according to physical principles of these simulation tools. The computer code and used physical principles are described and explained. The functionality of algorithm and validity of program results are verified and presented.

U radu su prikazani podaci prethodnih istraživanja u špilji Modrič te podaci dobiveni u istraživanju u razdoblju 2018.-2019. koje je provedeno za potrebe ovog diplomskog rada. Monitoring okolišnih uvjeta špilje Modrič podrazumijevao je praćenje sljedećih parametara: temperatura i relativna vlažnost zraka, intenzitet prokapavanja u špilji te koncentracije plinova radona i ugljikovog dioksida koji mogu ugroziti ljudsko zdravlje. Na istom mjestu na kraju desnog kanala mjerena je temperatura zraka s različitim instrumentima. Kontinuiranim mjerenjima s uređajima s većim rasponom mjerenja, većom točnošću i memorijom, prikupljeni su kvalitetniji podaci u usporedbi s prijenosnim instrumentom na čiju točnost utječe istraživač prilikom pojedinačnih mjerenja. Relativna vlažnost zraka gotovo na svim mjernim mjestima u špilji varira od 95 do 100%, ovisno o varijacijama temperature zraka. Temperatura zraka najmanje varira u unutrašnjosti na krajevima kanala, a najpromjenjivija je neposredno u blizini ulaza u špilju. Mjesta s najmanjim varijacijama temperature zraka važno su zbog pogodnosti za paleoklimatska istraživanja. Različit intenzitet prokapavanja na tri mjesta mjerenja koja su međusobno na vrlo maloj udaljenosti dokazuje heterogenost krškog vodonosnika. Međutim, preostala dva mjesta ujednačeno prokapavaju, a intenzitet prokapavanja u špilji je praćen upravo s ciljem pronalaska mjesta koja imaju uravnotežen i stabilan režim prokapavanja. Naime, sige koje su prihranjivanje u stabilnim uvjetima pogodne su za uzorkovanje u paleookolišnim istraživanjima. Varijacije koncentracija štetnih plinova CO2 i radona pokazuju sličnosti. Koncentracija oba plina povišena je u vrijeme ljetnih mjeseci kada je i broj turista koji posjećuju špilju najviši. Osim sezonskih varijacija, koncentracija CO2 varira i prostorno. Tako vrijednosti rastu od ulaza prema unutrašnjosti kanala, ali se i razlikuju u lijevom i desnom kanalu. Uzrok tome je morfologija špilje. Naime, desni kanal je uži i u njemu su zabilježene veće koncentracije CO2 za razliku od lijevog koji je prostraniji i u kojem je protok zraka jači. Sve navedeno upućuje na važnost sustavnog provođenja monitoringa špiljskih uvjeta. The paper presents the data of previous research in the Modrič cave and data obtained during the period 2018-2019. carried out for the purposes of this graduate thesis. Monitoring of the environmental conditions of the cave Modric implied monitoring of the following parameters: temperature and relative humidity of the air, the intensity of cave discharge and concentration of radon and carbon dioxide levels that could harm human health. The obtained results show that the data of temperature and relative humidity of the air from the previous researches are better than the data from the research conducted in the period 2018-2019. due to the use of more accurate and expensive measuring devices. The relative humidity of the air at almost all measuring points in the cave ranges from 95 to 100%, depending on the variations in the air temperature. The most variations in the air temperature are close to the entrance to the cave. Inside the cave, further from the entrance. the atmospheric conditions are stable. The drip discharge intensity is monitored with the aim of finding sites that have stable discharge. Such sites are suitable for sampling in paleoenvironmental reconstruction. Besides that, monitoring of Modrič Cave hydrological behavior via drip discharge revealed substantial heterogeneity of the karst aquifer. Variations in the concentration of harmful gases CO2 and radon show similar behavior. The concentration of both gases is increased during the summer months when the number of tourists visiting the cave is highest. In addition to seasonal variations, the CO2 concentration varies and spatially. The values increase from the entrance to the cave to the inside of the channels. There is also big difference between the values of the concentration in these channels due to the morphology of the cave. To be specific, the right channel is less spacious and it has a higher CO2 concentration. All this indicates the importance of systematic monitoring of cave conditions.

Skladištenje ugljikovog dioksida u geološke formacije relativno je nova metoda kojom se smanjuje njegova emisija u atmosferu. Nakon utiskivanja, zbog svoje agresivne prirode, CO2 može predstavljati veliki problem za cementni kamen u bušotini. Običan Portland cement u CO2 sredini tijekom vremena može degradirati i pritom izgubiti svoju osnovnu zadaću – međuzonalna izolacija. Gubitkom mehaničkog integriteta bušotine, može doći do opasnog propuštanja CO2 iz podzemnog skladišta. Kako bi se to spriječilo, razvijeni su CO2 otporni cementi koji smanjuju ili u potpunosti sprječavaju reakciju ugljikovog dioksida i cementnog kamena. U radu je opisan postupak uskladištenja CO2 u geološku formaciju, mogući putevi propuštanja, sastav i postupak karbonatizacije Portland cementa, a na samom kraju CO2 otporni cementi i njihova svojstva., Carbon dioxide storage in geological formations is relatively new method of reducing its emission into atmosphere. After injection because of agressive nature, CO2 can present a big problem for a sheath cement. Neat Portland cement in CO2 environment can degrade and therefore loose its primary role – zonal isolation. Loss of mechanical integrity, can lead to dangerous CO2 leakage from underground storage sites. To prevent that, CO2 resistant cements which reduce or inhibit reactions of carbon dioxide with sheath cement have been developed. This paper describes the process of storing CO2 in geological formation, potential leakage pathways, composition and carbonation of Portland cement, CO2-resistant cement and their properties.

U ribnjačarskoj proizvodnji izrazito je važno zimovanje. Zimuju sve kategorije šarana, ali različito nasađujemo mlađ od konzumne ribe koja će se plasirati na tržište te su nam ti zimovnici ujedno i skladišta našeg gotovog proizvoda. Ovaj rad detaljno opisuje tehnologiju zimovanja šarana u ribnjacima koja je dosta složena. Da bi riba dobro podnijela zimovanje te da ne bi bilo većih gubitaka važno je tijekom cijele godine imati dobru tehnologiju uzgoja. Time će naš šaran biti u dobroj tjelesnoj kondiciji, dovoljno uhranjen i imati zalihe masti, a na zimovanje ne bi trebali stavljati mlađ manju od 25 g. Voda kojom se napajaju ribnjaci treba biti kvalitetna bez otpadnih voda i mogućnosti ulaska divlje ribe koja može prenositi bolesti i nametnike. Stoga nam je vrlo bitan hidrokemijski režim. U toku zime površina vode se zamrzava i na njoj se stvara snježni pokrivač. Tada dolazi do pomanjkanja kisika i nastanka štetnih plinova pa se moraju otvarati rupe u ledu, čistiti snijeg te omogućiti protok vode. Tijekom zime cjelokupni metabolizam ribe se uspori na najmanju razinu te se time i troši vrlo malo energije. To je nepovoljno razdoblje i za razvoj bolest, ali zdravstveno stanje sa zatopljenjem se može naglo pogoršati i doći do velikih gubitaka. Riba koja je zdrava i dobro uhranjena, iako je izmorena i oslabljena u proljeće se brzo oporavlja i nastavlja sa rastom., Wintering is extremely important fish production. All categories of common carp went through wintering, but technological process is different for fry and fish for sale. This paper describes the complex technology of wintering the carp in fishponds. For successful wintering it is important to have an excellent technology of fish production whole year. That will assure that the carp is in good physical condition, have sufficiently body fat percentage a minimal body mass of 25 g. The water that recharges ponds should be in good condition, without mixing the waste water and eliminating the possibility of entry of the wild fish, which can carry diseases and parasites. Therefore, hydrochemical regime is very important. During the winter, the surface water is frozen solid and snow creates a blanket on top of the ice. During winter it is common for carp to experience a lack of oxygen and the accumulation of harmful gases. So it is important to open holes in the ice, shovel snow and assure the flow of fresh water. During the winter, the entire fish metabolism slows down to the lowest level possible and thus consumes very little energy. It is an unfavorable period for the development of the diseases, but with warming of the water in spring health condition in fishpond can rapidly deteriorate and large losses of fish can occur. The fish that is healthy and well-fed, although exhausted and weakened during the wintering, in the spring recovers quickly and continues to grow.

Svrha ovoga rada je objasniti pojam tehnologije hvatanja i skladištenja ugljika. Potrebno je opisati tehnologije za hvatanje ugljika kod termoelektrana na ugljen i detaljno opisati procese hvatanja ugljika kod pojedinih tipova termoelektrana na ugljen. Nadalje, potrebno je opisati načine transporta uhvaćenoga ugljikovog dioksida do mjesta pohrane kao i načine zbrinjavanja uhvaćenog ugljika. Također je potrebno opisati učinkovitost termoelektrana koje imaju mogućnost hvatanja ugljika i kakav to ima utjecaj na implementaciju u elektroenergetski sustav. Potrebno je napraviti proračun koji će pokazati prednosti CCS tehnologije u problemu emisija stakleničkih plinova te financijske okolnosti njezine ugradnje. Purpose of this paper is to explain the concept of carbon capture and storage technologies. It is necessary to describe technologies for carbon capture et coal power plants and detail describe processes carbon capture in individual types of coal power plants. Furthermore, it is necessary to describe the modes of transport captured carbon dioxide to the place of storage as well as the manner of treatment of the captured carbon. It is also necessary to describe the efficiency of thermal power plants that have the ability to capture carbon and how this has an impact on the implementation of the electric power system. It is necessary to create a budget that will demonstrate the benefits of CCS technology in the problem of greenhouse gas emissions as well as financial circumstances of its installation.

Kemijske nesreće i kemijske katastrofe neminovna su posljedica tehnološkog razvoja i globalne industrijalizacije. Planovi kontrole rizika, pripravnosti i obrane su zakonski regulirani i organizirani u većini razvijenih zemalja, a nužno ih je što je moguće učinkovitije primijeniti i u Hrvatskoj. U ovom preglednom radu istaknute su spoznaje prikupljene temeljem analiza prethodnih incidenata opisanih u novijoj medicinskoj literaturi, kao i iskustva stečena nakon nedavnih kemijskih nesreća u Hrvatskoj., Chemical accidents and chemical disasters are an inevitable consequence of modern technology and global industrialization. Programmes for risk control, prevention and management are legally adopted and implemented in many developed countries and it is necessary to implement them more effectively in Croatia. Some of the lessons learned from analysis of previous major incidents reported in medical literature as well as recent experiences in dealing with chemical accidents in Croatia are highlighted in this paper.
