Dagnja Mytilus galloprovincialis je jedna od najboljih bioloških indikatora za biomonitoring morskih ekosustava. Koristi se za procjenu onečišćenja u priobalnom području zbog svoje sesilne prirode i filtrirajućeg hranjenja te akumulacije kemijskih kontaminanata iz morske vode. Kontinuirani antropogeni pritisak duž obala svih, pa tako i Jadranskog mora, rezultira u stalnom unosu širokog obima različitih kemijskih tvari u morski okoliš. Te kemijske tvari utječu na zdravlje morskih ekosustava. Izravnim ispuštanjem, putem padalina ili ispiranjem tla, većina otpadnih tvari antropogenog porijekla najčešće dospijeva u kopnene vode i more, koji tako postaju krajnji primaoci većine onečišćenja i time su posebno ugroženi. Kemijske tvari akumuliraju se u organizmima te imaju potencijal da induciraju promjene na razini molekula, stanica i tkiva, pružajući razne signale upozorenja na događaje koji bi se mogli dogoditi na razini populacija, zajednica te ekosistema Kako bi se odredilo da li je neko područje pod prirodnim ili antropogenim utjecajem koji utječe na promjenu fiziološkog stanja dagnji uzrokovanog stresom, potrebno je analizirati: indeks kondicije, hepatosomatski indeks i preživljavanje na zraku. Dagnje vrste Mytilus galloprovincialis uzorkovane su sa 6 lokacija kako bi se ustanovilo na kojim lokacijama najviše utječu antropogeni pritisci te kako bi se opisalo i utvrdilo da li postoji međusobna ovisnost selektiranih parametra i da li se ovi parametri mogu poslužiti u razlikovanju antropogenih pritisaka. Ustanovilo se da indeks kondicije, hepatosomatski indeks i preživljavanje na zraku održavaju antropogene pritiske na pojedinim lokacijama, a najveći antropogeni pritisak je uočen na lokacijama Luka Pula i Luka Rijeka. Pošto nije uočena međusobna ovisnost selektiranih parametra te zbog prilagodbe dagnje na specifične stresne uvjete može se zaključiti da se izabrani parametri ne mogu poslužiti u razlikovanju specifičnog antropogenog pritiska. These chemicals affect the health of marine ecosystems. By direct discharge, through precipitation or soil leaching, most wastes of anthropogenic origin most often end up in inland waters and the sea, which thus become the final recipients of most pollutants and are thus particularly vulnerable. Chemicals accumulate in organisms and have the potential to induce changes at the level of molecules, cells and tissues, providing various warning signals of events that could occur at the level of populations, communities and ecosystems. anthropogenic influence that affects the change in the physiological state of mussels caused by stress, it is necessary to analyze: fitness index, hepatosomatic index and air survival. Mussels of the species Mytilus galloprovincialis were sampled from 6 locations to determine which locations are most affected by anthropogenic pressures and to describe and determine whether there is an interdependence of selected parameters and whether these parameters can be used to differentiate anthropogenic pressures. It was established that the fitness index, hepatosomatic index and air survival maintain anthropogenic pressures at certain locations, and the highest anthropogenic pressure was observed at the locations of the Port of Pula and the Port of Rijeka. Since no interdependence of the selected parameters was observed and due to the adaptation of mussels to specific stress conditions, it can be concluded that the selected parameters cannot be used to differentiate the specific anthropogenic pressure.
