Author: Terezie Doubková Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Care of a Patient after Rotator Cuff Tendon Rupture Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to theoretically elaborate the basic knowledge concerning the shoulder girdle and to develop a case study of a patient after rotator cuff tendon rupture. Another aim was to evaluate the effectiveness of my chosen physiotherapy procedures. Methods: The general part contains information on anatomy, kinesiology and problems concerning shoulder joint, obtained from the sources listed below. The developed case report of physiotherapy care of the patient includes initial and output kinesiological examination, therapy draft, therapy aims and separate therapy units, based on the knowledge acquired during my three-year bachelor studies. At the end are presented the results of the therapies and the evaluation of their effect. Results: The theoretical knowledge was written in the general part and the case report was prepared according to the chosen aims. The effect of the therapy described in the conclusion of the thesis can be evaluated as positive. Most of the measured values were improved compared to the initial examination. This bachelor thesis addresses the topic of painful shoulder syndrome. The text of the thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains the anatomy of shoulder knitting, where bones, muscles, joints, ligaments are described. It also focuses on biomechanics and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle. Furthermore, it characterizes the individual forms of painful shoulder syndrome, their diagnosis and treatment options. Last but not least, it focuses on the physiotherapy options in the painful shoulder syndrome treatment. The practical part focuses on qualitative research and its results evaluation. Data about probands was acquired via semi-structured interviews and kinesiological analysis. The research includes 3 case reports of female probands with age range between 22 - 45 years and with the diagnosis of the painful shoulder syndrome. All probands underwent the entry kinesiological analysis, 10 therapies and the consecutive exit kinesiological analysis. The research results are evaluated objectively and subjective. For two probands, there were a significant improvement and pain relief due to their regular attendance at therapies, their adherence to the home exercise and to the ergonomics of the work as well as the movement. The third proband achieved only a slight improvement and she did not pay much attention to the home exercise. The theoretical part of the thesis aimed to describe the structure of the shoulder grindle, the causes of the painful shoulder syndrome and its symptoms. The practical part aimed to structure the appropriate rehabilitation plan based on the kinesiological analysis. The bachelor thesis can serve as a professional material for physiotherapists and other medical persons, or as auxiliary study material for students of medical schools, especially with physiotherapy specialisation.

This thesis investigates compensatory mechanisms arising from playing the violin. It summarizes the existing literature on the topic of the influence of violin playing on the posture of violinists and proposes a compensatory exercise according to the DNS method. The theoretical part describes the "ideal" position for violin playing, the effect of ergonomic aids, kinesiology of playing, anatomy of the shoulder girdle, and finally the compensatory mechanisms stemming from holding and playing the violin while sitting and connected health problems. The experimental part presents the results of case studies of 8 non-professional violin players aged from 18 to 30 years, evaluation of their posture and musculoskeletal disorders, and the proposed compensatory exercise according to the DNS method. The anamnestic data were obtained through a survey and the health condition of the musculoskeletal system is investigated using a kinesiological examination (inspection and palpation, anthropometric measurements, and specific tests for deep stabilizing system and scapula). Inspection and palpation measurement cannot be objectively measured and therefore the obtained measurements serve only as a relative guide for the evaluation. Stroke is one of the most common causes of premature disability and is the second leading cause of death in all developed countries. It is a suddenly developing involvement of a certain district of brain tissue, which was caused by a disorder of its blood supply. One of the complications after a stroke is the painful shoulder syndrome occurring on the hemiparetic upper limb. It is pain in the shoulder area with simultaneous movement limitation. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with epidemiology, distribution, causes, diagnostics, complications and basic risk factors of stroke. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents the kinesiology of the shoulder and explains the painful shoulder syndrome at hemiparetics with subsequent treatment options. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to map and summarize the problems of the hemiparetic arm, create a suitable rehabilitation plan and subsequently evaluate the effects of the selected physiotherapeutic treatment. This is a qualitative research, where the research group consists of 3 patients after a stroke with a hemiparetic shoulder. The case report consists of an initial entrance examination. This is followed by 8 therapies focused on the hemiparetic shoulder and finally the final exit examination. From the results is to deduce that two patients experienced some improvement after receiving physiotherapy in the shoulder area. The last patient was not able to perform an exit examination for health reasons. The work can serve as educational material for physiotherapists, professional public or students of physiotherapy who want to increase awareness of the issue.

Title: Movement disorders of beachvolleyball players. Objectives: In this bachelor's thesis, the aim is to analyze movement disorders in the area of the shoulder girdle and to confirm the hypotheses about unilateral loading in favor of the dominant limb. Methods: The chosen method is the functional muscle test for testing muscle strength and for shortened muscles, according to Janda, specifically focused on the shoulder girdle. Based on the chosen method, the results in the given movements of the shoulder joint and scapula were analyzed. Results: Testing was recorded in tables created in Excel, which contained all movement actions in the shoulder girdle test and the degrees by which the dominant and non- dominant limb were assessed. The final table summarizes all the testing from the previous tables and a comparison of movement between the dominant and non- dominant limb. Based on the final evaluation, a brief proposal of compensatory exercises was created, focused on the analyzed movement disorders and imbalances. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Care of Patient with the Diagnosis 'Frozen Shoulder' This Bachelor thesis is dealing with Frozen Shoulder syndrome. It is divided into general part and practical part. The general part is expounding theoretical findings from anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of shoulder girdle. It is also explaining the method of shoulder girdle examination. In the general part is described definition, etiology, clinical picture and the particular treatment of Frozen Shoulder syndrome. In the practical part is thoroughly compiled the case study of patient with diagnosis of Frozen Shoulder. This whole part is based on cooperation with the patient during my bachelor practice. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Proximal Humerus Fracture Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy treatment of patients after proximal humerus fracture. The summary of theoretical knowledge, orientation in specialized literature dealing with this topic and a case study of one patient. Methods: The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - the general part and the special part. The general part focuses on general information concerning this diagnosis, which will be accessed from specialized literature. Specifically, this part contains information about the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle, general information about fractures of the proximal humerus, treatment options and rehabilitation. Thesis title: Effect of targeted training of the lower scapular fixators on the shoulder girdle function of rugby players The concept of the problem: Rugby is one of the toughest ball sports and there is no shortage of injuries. In addition, injuries in the shoulder area are among the most common and any possibility of reducing these injuries is beneficial. There is not much time left for compensation and targeted intervention; moreover, it is not usually led by physiotherapists but by fitness coaches and only in larger clubs. The consequence is a muscle imbalance in the shoulder girdle, which can result in the so-called scapular dyskinesis. This is turn affects the function and stability of the shoulder joint not only by the overhead athletes. It is possible to influence scapular dyskinesis in various ways. One of them is the inclusion of targeted training of lower scapular fixators into fitness training and thus their stability is improved. Jan Vocásek Thesis title: Analysis of the shoulder girdle injury and therapy of overhead athletes in Czech republic Cíl: The aim of the thesis was to create a literal research for the shoulder girdle injuries of overhead athletes, theoretically to write the anatomical and kinesiological characteristics of the shoulder girdle, to analyze the biomechanics, injury mechanisms in individual overhead sports, rehabilitation treatment and to find out how frequent the injuries of athletes in the Czech Republic follow-up treatment varies from abroad. Methods: For the purpose of this research was established a non-standardized questionnaire, based on literature studied and research questions, and then was distributed to 6 selected physicians dealing with this issue in the Czech Republic, who anonymously filled out questions regarding the shoulder joint injury based on their own clinical experiences. Results: Four of the six hypotheses were confirmed from the data obtained. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Proximal Humerus Fracture Aim: The main aim of this work was to summarize the theoretical knowledge, to be oriented in the specialized literature with given subject, and formulate the case study of the patient with subsequent evaluation of the therapy. Method: Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and special part. In the theoretical part I have been focused on anatomical and kinesiological facts shoulder girdle. I summarized information of conservative and surgical treatment of proximal humerus fractures and subsequent rehabilitation care. Title: Effect of the range of the shoulder joint rotation in volleyball players on the development of functional changes. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to confirm the presence of the glenohumeral internal rotation deficit in beach volleyball players and to determine whether it affects the development of functional changes of the shoulder joint located in the dominant upper limb. Methods: The thesis was a quantitative study with the character of an experiment. There were 60 active volleyball players aged 18-30 years who were deliberately selected for the purposes of the study. The essence was to ascertain whether GIRD affects the pain in the shoulder joint of volleyball players and whether it was deemed positive for all participants of the study. In order to examine the range of motion, the goniometer in the external and internal rotation according to Janda and Pavla, Janda and Sachse was used, as well as hypermobility tests and a shoulder joint pain questionnaire. This bachelor thesis deals with problem of pain arm syndrome at assembly workers. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory of anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, there are a shoulder diseases include under painful shoulder syndrome, we will acquainted with the usual methods of therapy used for this diagnosis and give brief information about the job of the assembly workers. The second, practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the results obtained on the basis of qualitative research, where through the semi-structured interview, observation and described investigation methods I received anamnestic data from three probands working as assemblers at company Robert Bosch spol. s.r.o. aged 27 to 57. Dates were processed in the form of input and output kinesiological analysis. The first object of the bachelor was to map out the environment in which they work and suggest, how to avoid the misbehaving stereotypes. The second objective was to design a suitable physiotherapeutic plan using different methodologies. Two of the three probands showed positive changes and adherence to preventive measures and active cooperative therapy, especially home treat. The bachelor thesis can serve as an educational material not only for physiotherapists, but also for employees, employers or the general public. It can provide information, but also as a therapeutic solution or material for further research.

Title: Corrected arm hang as a compensatory element in physioterapy Objective: The main objective of this master thesis is to measure and compare the level of engagement of muscles stabilizing the scapula during arm hang and supported exercise. Methods: Our study included nine probands whose measurement results were evaluated quantitatively. The age of probands at the time of measurement was from 18 to 25 years. A condition for inclusion in the investigated group was absence of subjective symptoms, functional impairment, traumatic injury, orthopedic defects or diseases of the upper limb. All probands were active athletes. Biomonitor ME 6000 manufacturer Mega Electronics Ltd. was used for recording the electrical activity of the muscles. The obtained data were processed by the Megawin software. All measurements for the purposes of the study took place in the laboratory of biomechanics FTVS UK. Title: The effect of scapular specific kinesio tape on the movement quality of the upper limb. Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of specific kinesio tape of shoulder blade on the quality of the movement of the upper limb. Currently, kinesio taping is very popular method in the treatment of myoskeletal diseases. Kinesio taping is mostly used by athletes, however the method becomes one of the common methods in physiotherapist practice. In this diploma thesis, specific method of kinesio taping was used. This bachelor thesis is focused on the issues of shoulder girdle syndrome of female handball players. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with the theoretical basis of the shoulder girdle, its movements, handball and different kinds of injuries which may be the consequences of playing it. Furthermore the methods used for such issues are introduced in this part. The second part of the thesis, the practical part, is based on eight weeks of monitoring and practising with three junior female handball players of DHC SVŠ Plzeň. For this the qualitative research method was used, the anamnestic data were gained during interviews, after that the kinesiological analysis and a short therapeutic plan were created. Further there is the description of the therapy progress. After eight weeks of exercise the outcome kinesiological analysis was created and the long-term therapeutic plan was proposed. The evaluation of the results of the therapy was carried out both subjectively and objectively with the help of special examination tests of the shoulder joint. The therapy of the players was held 2-3 times a week, from which once a week under my supervision. During the therapy were applied the soft-technologies, tractions, approximations, centration, post isometric relaxation. Training of the weakened muscles and easing the overstrained ones by using different tools were also included. As for the methods, the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation was used and also the chosen elements or positions from the dynamic neuromuscular stabilization. The aim of the thesis is to draw attention to the issues of the shoulder girdle as consequences of playing handball and to suggest physiotherapeutic opportunities. Considering the gained results, we can conclude, that the therapy had a positive effect on the condition of the shoulder girdle by all female handball players, however the intensity of the effect differs. All of the players experienced alleviation of the shoulder girdle pain, strengthening of the lower scapula fixators, easing of the m. trapezius, m. pectoralis maior and eventually also easing of the muscular disbalance. Therefore we can state, that the physiotherapy is convenient as both the treatment and the prevention for female handball players.

This thesis deals with the issue of functional disorders of the shoulder girdle for table tennis players. If there is excessive unilateral load at the playing upper extremity and it is not appropriately compensated, the formation of the muscle imbalances, especially in the area of the shoulder girdle can appear. This overload can occur not only with pain in the shoulder but also in other joints of the upper limb or cervical or thoracic spine. Ensuring adequate compensation can prevent an uneven load and thereby reduce the risk of malfunctions or early termination of a racing career. The aim of this thesis is to map the functional disorders of the shoulder girdle for table tennis players and based on kinesiology examination devise specific physiotherapy procedure and compensation program for table tennis players with functional disorders of the shoulder girdle. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of table tennis and all related health problems. Further, I describe the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle, functional disorders; in the end, I mention diagnostic and physiotherapy for functional disorders of the shoulder girdle. The practical part uses the method of qualitative research through case reports. The study group included two professional table tennis players of Southern Bohemia with functional disorders of the shoulder girdle. Data have been obtained by anamnesis using a structured interview, input and output kinesiological analysis completed by an examination of the shoulder girdle movement stereotypes on surface electromyography. As part of the therapy, I used the soft and mobilisation techniques to release reflex changes and functional joint blocks. I also used a selected therapeutic procedures affecting the present muscle imbalances, improving the stabilisation of the shoulder girdle, affecting movement stereotypes and activate the deep stabilising system. Selected therapeutic procedures have proved effectiveness. In both cases, the pain was reduced, shoulder line symmetrised, stress at the hypertonic muscles reduced and the stability of the shoulder girdle was improved. This work could be beneficial not only for table tennis coaches but also for the players themselves to prevent malfunctions or mitigate them. Furthermore, it can be used in clinical practice for physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.

Title: The effect of shoulder girdle stabilization exercises on muscle activity during direct impact in rugby players with sub-acromial impingement syndrome Objectives: Comparison of muscle activity during direct impact while performing the rugby tackle to tackle bag and to player using electromyographic amplitude analysis before and after intervention programme for players with subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS). Application of intervention programme consisting stabilization excercises for shoulder complex and activation of deep stabilization muscles of the spine. Methods: Theoretical part contains topics about shoulder girdle, rugby and rugby injuries, mainly subacromial impingement syndrome. Mentioned issues are included into the thesis due to the research of current literature from international sources and studies. Practical part regards the aplication of three-months long intervention programme for eight players at junior national level with diagnosis of SIS, when pre-testing a post-testing is realized by clinical tests and EMG measurement. Title Use of thermal imaging camera in evaluation of kinezio taping impact on shoulder girdle for female volleyball players Objectives Aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how kinezio taping affects the temperature of shoulder girdle during the physical load at female volleyball players' smash Methods The thesis is devided into theoretical part which serves as a basic for research in the second empirical part. The complex will consist of a total of 16 female volleyball players. During the measurement we will examine the effect of kinezio taping on the temperature change of shoulder girdle during the physical activity using the thermal camera before and after a physical activity. And at the remaining eight players we eill record the values before and after physical activity without apllied kinezio tape. Results Using the thermal imaging camera we found out that after application of kinezio tape the temperature in the shoulder girdle at rest raises gradually. Title The most often problems in shoulder girdle of women basketball players and options of physiotherapeutic affect. Objectives The main goal of the thesis is in theoretical part to summarize potentional problems in shoulder girdle of basketball players, options and solutions of these problems. There is complex examination of shoulder girdle of dominant upper limb of women basketball players in an experimental part and figure out where is the main problem in this part. This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of chronic overloading of ice hockey player's shoulder girdle muscles. A sufficient muscle activity and range of motion in the shoulder girdle is necessary for the shooting efficiency of a player. A high rate of personal duels and the decrease of stability of the shoulder joint can lead to its chronic overloading and to a higher chance of an accident occurring. I divided this thesis into two main parts theoretical and special. In the theoretical part, I described the characteristics of ice hockey and also the anatomy, kinesiology and the possible examinations of the shoulder girdle. Furthermore, I stated information about injuries of the shoulder girdle in the field of ice hockey. The end of the theoretical part discusses the specific techniques of physiotherapy, which I used in this work. In the practical part, I applied the theoretical knowledge in the physiotherapy of three ice hockey player's shoulder girdles. I used a qualitative research methodology and collected the data in the form of a case study. The subjects of the research were three ice hockey players, aged between 21 and 24 years. I carried out the pre-therapy and post-therapy kinesiologic examinations and acquired the anamnesis of all three players in the form of a structured interview. The examinations, which I used on all subjects, were visual, touch (palpation), dynamic, anthropometric and goniometric. Also, I examined shortened muscles, motion stereotypes and I performed special tests for the shoulder joint. The therapy lasted for 3 months, once per week for 45 minutes. The main objective of this thesis was to discuss the overloading of ice hockey player's shoulder girdles and also to determine the possible uses of specific kinesiotherapy and physiotherapy methods, which could be used for prevention of injuries and straining. The result of this work is an analysis of methods and their practical use for physiotherapy of ice hockey players with chronic strained shoulder girdles. The therapy has proven to be effective for two subjects. Thanks to the chosen methods, the subjects reported a total decrease of pain and demonstrated a better stabilization of the shoulder girdles. Their stereotypes improved as well. The third subject was not fully cooperating and because of that, his results aren't as conspicuous as the results of the other two subjects, yet still they show improvement. This bachelor thesis can be used by physiotherapists and students of physiotherapy for acquiring information about this issue, as well as by coaches and players, who do not cling only on game results, but also care about the health and the prevention of injuries.

This thesis focuses on chronic overload of the shoulder girdles of historical fencers. In general, a shoulder is one of the most important joints for historical fencers. Overloading of the shoulder poses significant limits to the fencers´ abilities as it influences vigour of their chops and shielding. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part comprises of the key findings of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics concerning the shoulder girdle. Further, it provides information about possibilities of a clinical examination. A qualitative research method was used in the practical part. Namely, this part worked with the techniques of informal interviews with respondents, history-taking, observation (kinesiology analysis), therapy applications in practice and secondary analysis of data collected. Moreover, there are the charts illustrating a change in the ranges of motions shown by the respondents at the entry and exit examination. The results of all kinds of therapy are presented in a form of case studies. The research was conducted under the supervision of Mgr. Matěj Liška in Pilsen. The test set consists of two respondents with chronic overload of the shoulder girdles. A therapeutic plan was compiled for both fencers. The plan has been successfully implemented. Fencers were thoroughly acquainted with the course and the goal of therapy and both agreed in writing with participation in this research and subsequent processing of the acquired data for my bachelor thesis. Therapy helped both respondents to relax the muscles of the shoulder girdle. Moreover, the upper limb function was improved and the ranges of motions of shoulder girdles increased. This thesis could serve as a good example of how to adequately deal with this issue. Further, it explains some relaxation, stretching and strengthening exercises for the shoulder girdle leading to an increase in the range of motion in the shoulder joint and in muscle strength.

This bachelor thesis is analysing the effect of the stabilization of contralateral shoulder girdle on the accuracy of a footbal kick. For a good accuracy of the footbal kick there is a need of the right cooperation of muscles and the motion of a shoulder gridle. Shoulder is really important part of body for footbal players. It helps with stability of the whole body while training or match. Non-stable shoulder gridle can lower the accuracy of the kick. Another problem could be that if the shoulder gridle is overloaded too often it can couse an injury. I seperated this work in two sections- theory and practical uses. In theory i will describe the characteristics of football, anatomy, kineziology and at the end of the work I will summarize the options of klinical examination of the shoulder gridle. In practical part would be used an methodology that is based on qualitative research. Research was done by kinesiological view. I was studying three football players in age from 20 to 23. With each player I did an input and output kinesiological analysis and using a structred interview I made an anamnesis. For all subjects I made an examination by view, palpacion, antropometric and goniometric examination, examination of shortened muscles, motion stereotypes and special tests of shoulder gridle. The therapy was applied for two months, two times per week for 30 minutes. The main goal was to find out how big effect can have stabilizated shoulder gridle on the accuracy of football kick and to find options of physiotherapy in this case of issues. The accuracy was tested by four custom tests, which had to simulate the situation of football kick. For all subjects was muscle release succseful, improvment of function of upper extremity and improvment of stability of shoulder gridle, but only two respondents showed improvements in accuracy of the kick. The work could be useful for increasing the awereness of sports fans and athlets. To improve interest of football players even not profesional players to stabilize their shoulder gridle. This work could be also good like studying material for football coaches.

Title: The case report of physiotherapy care of a patient with the diagnosis of impingement syndrome and lateral epicondylitis The main goal of this thesis is to summarize the knowledge about impingement syndrome diagnosis and physiotherapeutic work with patients being diagnosed with this syndrome. The theoretical part will describe the anatomy and biomechanics of the shoulder girdle, etiopathogenesis of impingement syndrome and various methods that are suitable for treating these patients. Thesis title: Electromyographic Analysis of the Shoulder Girdle Muscles Inclusion of Volleyball Players Problem definition: Elite sport is very demanding, not only physically, but also mentally. The demands on the musculoskeletal system are often not compensated, especially in children and junior categories. The only targeted and regular compensation takes place at volleyball by the fitness training in the gym, but not always properly lead and adapted to the individual needs of athletes. The question is whether it is possible to prevent these problems. From my perspective, yes, the inclusion of appropriate compensation exercise in normal training session, which will require little equipment and time and to be functionally connected with volleyball technique that players do not lose the game performance. Title: Function and mechanics of fascias focused to shoulder girdle Objectives: The main subject of the diploma thesis is the issue of fascial concatenation. The aim of the diploma thesis is a systematic study findings related to the selected issue and introduce concepts, that deal with the fascial concatenation. For a specific example of fascial concatenation was chosen from a practical standpoint shoulder girdle in relation to the entire upper limb. Methods: The thesis methodologically equivalent to a theoretical type of work - job search. The thesis is divided in two main parts. The first (general) part describes anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of shoulder girdle briefly. There is also the reference of pathology in subacromial space and arthroscopic method description. There are some physiotherapeutic methods mentioned and processes which are proper for this diagnosis. Title: Evaluation of pain threshold by using the method of pressure algometry at selected muscular points in the area of shoulder girdle in karate practitioners. Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to assess the pain threshold using the method of pressure algometry at selected muscle points while practising the technique choku-cuki in karate practitioners. Methods: The experiment is a pilot study which evaluates the pain threshold in m. latissimus dorzi, m. serratus anterior, m. trapezius pars descendent, ascendent and other selected muscles of both right and left shoulder girdles before exercising direct choku-cuki glow in the position of heiko-dachi stance and also controls the proper performance of given technique. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis This thesis deals with the issues of physiotherapy treatment after fractures of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis. On the basis of knowledge of functional anatomy, kinesiology, traumatology, orthopaedics and by Czech and foreign literature there is an effort to clarify the time and practice schedule of post-operative rehabilitation for the above diagnosis. Purposes: The first aim of thesis is to compare coordinate indictors of average swimming cycle and average crawling cycle. Methods: Surface electromyography of muscular activity combined with cinematography analysis used synchronized video recording. Intraindividual comparative analysis and subsequent interindividual comparison of timing muscular activation in one average swimming and crawling cycle. Results: The timing of muscular activity of m. pectoralis major and m. latissimus dorsi during swimming cycle was identical for all probands. This phenomenon was not found in crawling . The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the influence of Vojta's reflex locomotion on the activity of the shoulder girdle's muscles with surface electromyography. We also observed the activity of some of the trunk's muscles. We tested phasic and support function of the upper extremity in several movements on 15 healthy people. It didn't bring many significant values. It could be caused by different sensitivities of the participants for the stimulation, the short time of the stimulation, individual motoric stereotypes or not so strongly expressed muscle dysbalantion within healthy individuals.

Title: The comparative kineziologic analysis of forward stroke on wheelchair and crawling. Objectives of the Thesis: The aim of the thesis is to compare muscle activity of selected muscles in shoulder girdle during forward stroke on wheelchair and crawling. Method: Surface electromyography combinated with kinematography analysis used synchronized video recording. Results and Conclusions: As the research shows, there is a difference in muscle activity (timing) between forward stroke on wheelchair and during crawling. This bachelor?s thesis deals with the development of muscular imbalance in the shoulder girdle in volleyball players. The volleyball player?s shoulder is the most exposed and vulnerable joint. In addition, the way the sport has developed, the pressure on this joint has grown. Shoulder pain limits the player?s most important move: the strength and the power of the smash and the smash serve. This thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and a practical. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy and the biomechanics of the shoulder girdle, and with the injuries of the shoulder joint most often experienced by the volleyball players, such that can be detected by a clinical examination. In the practical part I used qualitative research, and the appropriate diagnostics and measures to asses the effectiveness of physiotherapy. The research was carried out in the Beskydy Children?s Sanatorium in Metylovice. The research sample consisted of three volleyball players from the Metylovice Volleyball Club (SK Metylovice). Examination of the participants showed the presence of muscular imbalance in all of them; secondary damage to the shoulder joint was also detected in all participants. Any top-level physical performance will stress the body, often unevenly, and it is crucial to compensate it. The combination of a targeted physiotherapy methods and compensation exercises, together with spontaneous regeneration, can repair any damage, or even prevent it, and thus lead to an optimal function of the joints and the adjoining soft tissue. Physiotherapy plan was prepared for each participant and was then successfully followed. The final/exit examination showed a reduction in both the muscular imbalance and the secondary damage previously seen in the shoulder joint. In Appendix 2 I describe compensation exercises that should be included in any volleyball training programme, to prevent the development of muscular imbalance. This work could be used as a guide to effective repair approach to this problem. The suggested exercises aim to relax, stretch and strengthen the entire shoulder girdle, and thus increase the range of movement and the muscle power within the joint.

Shoulder joint pain is a common phenomenon faced by javelin throwers, shot putters and discus throwers. Basic anatomical findings related to the glenohumeral joint are summarized in this work, followed by a description of the kinesiology of movement in the glenohumeral joint. Performed movement analysis of each sport makes the imagination of movements carried out during the throw easy. The chapter on the differential diagnostics of shoulder joint pain summarizes both transferred, muscle and joint pain.
