The goal of this bachelor thesis is to survey current purposes and values of selected group of young people. The theoretical part deals with explanation basic terms such as youth, value, value orientation, and value system. It also investigates development of moral values of individuals during different phases of life. The influence of internet, media and social groups is also mentioned just like the influence of social networks on daily life of youth. The practical part is focused on opinions of youth about human values and their opinion about social networks and relationships with help of qualitative research. It also studies the influence of social networks on value life of individuals considering their age and level of education.

This diploma thesis deals with factors which influenced successful Roma college graduates. It tries to reveal what are the reasons why these Roma people managed to defy statistics and get a college diploma. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part it acquaints readers with professional literature and with its resources. Particular chapters pursue factors which have a direct connection with Roma education - Roma family, which strongly determines children's value system, Roma traditions and customs, Roma language, basic legislation and famous Roma personalities. The practical part, using a questionnaire, tries to determine the most important factors which influenced Roma college graduates during their lives. The goal of the research is to find out whether and to what extent particular factors interfered with academically successful Roma people's decision making. From the research part, it is apparent that the two main factors were positive motivation from their parents and a vision of a higher salary.

Just as the inner values influence people´s leisure time, so does the leisure time have effect on people´s value system. The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was an effort to find the relation between the value orientation of today´s high school students and their leisure time. The thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part the basic areas of interest, i.e. leisure time and values, have been characterised by means of definition, function and other influences. Further, the youth and period of adolescence have been specified. The practical part is devoted to the high school students´ value system. The figures have been gained via questionnaire investigation held among students of high schools, secondary schools and vocational schools. The content and amount of their leisure time have been monitored and compared.

The Bachelor thesis "The influence of theater institution on forming of values of secondary school students" deals with the process of forming the adolescents' values as well as with factors which have got influence on this process, focused on the analysis of theatre institution influence. Characteristics of the adolescence in light of biological, psychological and social mutation is dealt with in the theoretical part, followed by definition of terms such as value, value system, crisis of the value, education, valuable education, and process of socialization. Forming the values in the period of puberty is specially pointed out. The theoretical part is concluded by defining the influence of the environment on formation of the values, focused on the cultural environment. Resources and the results of the research, which was performed using questionnaire, are described in the practical part of the thesis. Connections and dependences between theater institution and influence on forming the value system of the respondents - grammar school students - were taken into account.

4 Summary Exploring the musical preferences in relation to other aspects of human life has a long tradition. The present work is focused on exploring musical preferences with regard to personal value system. The research was designed as mixed method using questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The research sample consisted of 18 pupils aged 16 years. An important part of the research was music questionnaire that tried to clarify those genres, that are not familiar to respondents. Results of the music questionnaire were used as the basis for selection of respondents according to the preferential groups and to compare these groups in relation to certain musical attitudes, home musical environment and above all value system. The overall results of the research point to a very slight tendency to group certain specifics of the respondents which prefer hip hop, metal and classical music. On the contrary, results show a demonstrable impact of home music environment in shaping musical preferences. The unexpected outcome of present study is finding that listeners using the music questionnaire rated more positive the same genre of music compared to rating genres only by their concepts about each genre. This thesis focuses on the values preferred by senior citizens in old people's homes. Values are an integral part of every human life. The old age brings about a reorientation of values; there is a fixation on the family when senior citizens need to feel a sense of necessity and love. Accommodation of needs is a basis for the development of a value system where its value hierarchy is a structured system governed by importance. Old people feel a need for communication but this need is not very well saturated. With increasing age, feelings of loneliness occur and biological needs become accentuated. The empirical part of the thesis defines the objective to find out what life values are preferred by the senior citizens in the Old People's Nursing Home in Jindřichův Hradec. The method for data collection was a qualitative research, the method of case studies. The research group was selected using the method of quota purposive sampling. It consisted of six users of the OPNH; they were communicative men and women aged 65-85 years who received care allowance of the 2nd degree. The key technique used for data collection was an interview using a manual that was used with the six respondents at the OPNH in Jindřichův Hradec. A total of 15 users were interviewed who met the quota conditions but only six users were willing to participate in the research and to be interviewed. The last research question examined what their view of the life in the OPNH is. The research showed that the respondents were affected most by their stay at a triple room, which restricted their quality of sleep, privacy and adaptation. Retaining the dignity and communication with the staff is most important for the respondents. It is possible to comment answering the main research question What life values are preferred by the senior citizens in the Old People's Nursing Home in Jindřichův Hradec' by stating that the respondents feel as the most important their self-sufficiency and health, which undoubtedly affect the fulfilment of all the other needs, and the family that is the purpose of lives of the respondents, it is their driving force and they have something to live for. This thesis should highlight the importance of the issues preferred by users in the Old People's Nursing Home, the importance of cooperation with their families, how important is communication that helps the users to adapt to the new environment and then the creating of individual plans to maintain self-sufficiency of the senior citizens and, in the event they can no longer be self-sufficient and there is a need of help from another person, it is necessary to realize how important it is for the users to maintain their dignity. This thesis helps to justify the importance of the value system of senior citizens. It also expresses the efforts to improve the quality of life of senior citizens in residential social-service facilities while making social work more effective.

This diploma thesis deals with the health of the individual, the health values in his life and the problems of drug abuse. It is dividend into two parts: the theoretical and the practical ones. The theoretical part is further divided into three main sections. The first of them deals with health and different views on it; the second one is devoted to values, particularly the perception of health as a value; finally the third section concerns the issue of drug abuse in general. The practical part of the thesis presents the result of a survey research made among the pupils of the 8th and 9th classes at two elementary schools in Veselí nad Lužnicí. The aim of this research effort was to determine the awareness of pupils about the aspects of drugs use and related potential risks; and whether they recognize the health as a value, which they are responsible of.

The aim of this bachelor paper is to explore the life and work of one of the world?s most important and controversial philosophers, Albert Camus, in relation to the interpretation of the link between the existentialist conception of a man and the current upbringing conception in the context of social pedagogy. The paper is divided into two main parts. The first part introduces Camus?s highly interesting life considering the fact that his philosophical ideas are often related to important events in his life. This is followed by a brief analysis of Albert Camus´s works. They are classified into developmental stages. Eventually, the views on issues of life and a man are compared in a broader concept of existentialist philosophy In the second part of the paper the author analyses Camus?s concept of relation of man, environment and upbringing. The views on the roles and possibilities of upbringing in the context of life situations are commented. At the same time it is compared to what extent the current content conception of social pedagogy as a theory and practice of helping a man is foreshadowed by Albert Camus´s views as a philosopher and writer. The conclusion of the second part consists of the author´s own research on values among university students majoring in social pedagogy.

The thesis deals with the activities of Roma mentors in the district of Český Krumlov. The theoretical part descibes the service of Roma Mentor, projects of the Association for Probation and Mediation in Justice - citizens´ associations included in the Roma mentoring, Further, this part highlights the need for services for the target group through topics like criminality of Roma, Roma family/lineage, education and value system. Practical work includes the research methodology and presents the results of semi-structured interviews. The final discussion is devoted to the final evaluation and potential bias research.

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of changing the life values in the context of the death and dying. The theoretical part is divided into two sections. First of them is focused on the attitudes to the death by the various disciplines, the second one is focused on the life values, specifics and experience with the process of dying. The practical part maps the attitudes to the death by the three groups of respondents ? the group of dying clients of hospices, the group of their family members and the last is the group of the staff (of residence and home hospice care). There are compared their responses with the results of another researches and thesis dealing with analogous topic in the Discussion. The main result of this thesis is that the most important values accented by the contact of the coming death are not the material values (like money, possesion), but the values connected with the quality interpersonal relations and family background like esteem, love, loyalty, devotion and gratitude is.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the issue of youth subcultures, lifestyle and value beliefs of young people that move around these groups and are considered to be representatives or their sympathizers. The topic is currently popular in the concept that these subcultures in the Czech Republic have been relatively little charted. There are no systematic studies to comprehensively analyze the lifestyle or social value orientation of its supporters. Therefore I would like to focus on these aspects in this thesis. The starting point for the theoretical part of the thesis is to define key concepts in the context of the issue. Further I will characterize adolescence as a specific developmental period, describe the lifestyle and value system of youth, schools dealing with the youth and at the end of the theoretical part I will describe selected youth subcultures with greater emphasis, and those of them that are the basis for the practical part of this work. The content of the practical part will be ten semi-structured interviews I will lead with the representatives of selected youth subcultures. It will therefore be a qualitative research, which in my opinion will be better suited to this topic because as it allows a deeper insight into the issue. Youth subculture that I chose are hooligans, metal fans, skaters, meatheads, and players of computer games. The research specimen I interviewed are ten probands - two of each subculture - that I got to know through acquaintances from their surroundings and through communication on social networks.

This diploma thesis deals with the subject of advertisement and its effect on children consumer behavior. Contrary to adults children are not able to differentiate between the reality and fiction, in this case to differentiate if they really need or just want promoted product. The theoretical part brings information about the marketing communication channels, effects on consumers, basis of consumers purchase decision making processes, which factors influence consumers behavior and how the advertisement is perceived by particular children age groups. It informs also about specific aspects of advertisements focused on children and about actual trends in children consumer behavior. The target of this work is to find out how TV advertisement influences children consumer behavior in context of amount of children in family, in dependence on how much time parents spend with their children, which way they are raised, etc. Research of these facts is subject of practical part of this thesis

The bachelors assignment deals with the question of conscience development and value system as part of Christian education in childhood. The work describes conscience in the framework of historical development, including modern findings of notable researchers. It further maps the historic background of values, their function and kinds and also the basic factors influencing their formation. It then deals with axiology as a science studying values in the moral meaning of the word, and also with Christian education, especially its specification. As a conclusion, an example of an educational system in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren is put forward.

The goal of this thesis is to answer the question of different perception of values between adolescents in Czech Republic and Germany (Bavaria). In my doctoral thesis I analyse way of life of crew members sharing the multiethnic territory of cruise ships. I tended to investigate this theme after I had experienced an extraordinary cooperation of people from all around the world on cruise ships. My goal is to sum up basic conditions which should be fulfilled in any multiethnic society to ensure that there would not be any conflicts between its habitants. According to my hypothesis there is a need of other than ethnical identity which could unify them on other than ethnical basis. In the territory of cruise ships it is socio-professional identity of „crew member“. From all factors in which we can observe socio-professional identity of crew members I attend communication and value system.

The main focus of this thesis is to examine the values and value systems of today`s college students. The goal is to compare these value systems among students of the Pedagogical Faculty and the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part offers information on the term value, the typology of value orientation, the historical background of contemporary psychology of values, the forming of a value system and on curricular documents. In the practical part, which was carried out in the form of a questionairre, I present my research results and a summary of value orientations among students of the above mentioned faculties.

The diploma thesis is of theoretic-empirical character with focus on values and value system of university students these days. First part deals with following concepts: adolescence, cognitive changes, emotionality, identity, sexuality, socialization, generational conflict. Obtained information served for comparison of value system between students of Pedagogical Faculty at University of South Bohemia and university students from Augsburg, Bayreuth and Braunschweig. The goal of this thesis is thus to compare the value system between Czech and German university students.
