The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission, scheduled for launch in the mid-2030s, is a gravitational wave space observatory designed to detect sources emitting in the millihertz band. LISA is an European Space Agency flagship mission, currently entering the Phase-B development phase. It is expected to help us improve our understanding of our Universe by measuring gravitational wave sources of different types, with some of the sources being at very high redshifts (z∼20). On February 23, 2022, we organized the first LISA in Greece Workshop. This Workshop aimed to inform the Greek scientific and tech industry communities about the possibilities of participating in LISA science and the LISA mission, with the support of the Hellenic Space Center. In this White Paper, we summarize the outcomes of the Workshop, the most important aspect of it being the inclusion of 15 Greek researchers to the LISA Consortium, raising our total number to 22. At the same time, we present a road map with the future steps and actions of the Greek Gravitational Wave community with respect to the LISA mission. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Gas sensors are essential devices to detect harmful gases that are present in the environment. Metal oxide semiconductors (MOSs) are used as sensing materials to detect harmful gases. Some of the metal oxides, like ZnO, SnO2, WO3, NiO, etc. have been used to detect the gases. This paper provides a theoretical study of gas sensing using MOSs. Many programs are available for the theoretical Density Functional Theory (DFT) approach. The theoretical calculation provides many properties about the sensing material, like electronic properties, magnetic properties, charge difference calculation, and Vander wall interaction between the sensing material surface and adsorbing molecule. The nanostructure provides better gas sensing performance due to its high surface-to-volume ratio. This paper is based on the DFT study and provides gas-sensing results using electronic properties. In this paper, we study the localization of an electron in a binary quantum system formed by a pair of quantum dots (QDs). The traditional theoretical consideration of such systems is limited to the symmetrical case when QDs in such double quantum dot (DQD) are assumed identical in all respects. In this paper, we model the effects of breaking QD similarities in a DQD by studying two-dimensional (2D) DQDs as a double quantum well (DQW). This is done by solving the Schrödinger equation, with parameters chosen to describe an InAs/GaAs heterostructure. We calculate the energy spectrum of the electron confinement and the spectral distribution of localized/delocalized spatial states. Both symmetric and asymmetric QW shapes are considered and their effects are compared. The effects of symmetry breaking are explained within the framework of the two-level system theory. We delineate the QW weak and strong coupling cases in DQW. In particular, we show that the coherence in ideal DQW is unstable in the case of a weak QW coupling. Within the framework of the proposed approach, a charge qubit realized on a DQD is discussed and, as an example, a qubit based on an almost ideal DQD is proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents the results of a study of the dielectric constant of solutions of a polar liquid in a nonpolar solvent: chlorobenzene–benzene, chlorobenzene–hexane. The measurements were carried out at a wavelength λ = 1 2. 8 0 cm in the temperature range from − 8 0 ∘ C to 2 0 ∘ C. The studies were carried out using the dielectric spectroscopy method. This method allows a more detailed study of the dielectric properties of the objects of study due to the large equilibrium ("static") dielectric constant of the object. The temperature dependence of the dielectric relaxation time of molecules in the liquid and solid states of the studied solutions is determined. It has been established that with increasing concentration (0.300, 0.562, 0.794, 1.000 for a chlorobenzene–hexane solution and 0.179, 0.368, 0.567, 0.778, 1.000 for a chlorobenzene–benzene solution) of the halogen substituent, the relaxation time increases. The measurement results of dielectric constant ε ′ and absorption coefficient ε ′ ′ obtained for concentrated solutions chlorobenzene–benzene, chlorobenzene–n–hexane at wavelengths λ = 1 2 , 80 and λ = 3 , 2 6 cm at temperature 2 0 ∘ C are given in the paper. The static dielectric constant is obtained at a frequency of 1 MHz. The obtained experimental values ε ′ , ε ′ ′ and ε 0 of investigated systems in ( ε ′ , ε ′ ′ ) plane locate on the semi-circle the center of which is on ε ′ axis. In this case, the high-frequency limit value of ε ∞ dielectric coefficient exceeds the corresponding n2 refraction index square. The macroscopic and molecular relaxation times are calculated on the base of experimental data. The thermodynamic quantities characterizing the process of dielectric relaxation are calculated for solutions of chlorobenzene–benzene, chlorobenzene–hexane. It has been determined that the height of the potential barrier separating the two equilibrium positions of a polar molecule is greatest in the state of a pure polar liquid and decreases with dilution in a nonpolar solvent. In this paper, we investigate a (3+1)-dimensional integrable fourth-order nonlinear equation that can model both the right- and left-going waves in a fluid. Based on the Hirota method, we derive three sets of the bilinear auto-Bäcklund transformations along with some analytic solutions. Through the extended homoclinic test approach, we obtain some breather solutions. We find that the breather propagates steadily along a straight line, with one hole and one peak in each period. Graphical investigation indicates that the coefficients in that equation affect the location and shape of the breather. Moreover, we construct some mixed lump–kink solutions. Fusion and fission between a lump wave and a kink soliton are analyzed graphically. The solutions addressed in this paper may be applied to mimic some complex waves in fluids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The pulse effect of near-fault ground motion has asevere threat to high-speed railway train running on bridge. Current research generally relies on numerical simulation and lacks physical test data. In this paper, a scale indoor physical test of high-speed train running on bridge is conducted and dynamic characteristics of high-speed railway train–track–bridge system under near-fault pulse-type ground motion are explored. The bridge of the physical test is excited by shaking table with lateral inputs of near-fault pulse-type ground motion, pulse-free ground motion and far-field ground motion. A corresponding numerical model is established and validated by the test data. Then, the influence regularities of pulse effect on system dynamic response and running safety indexes are explored under different peak ground acceleration (PGA) and train speeds using data of the physical tests and the numerical simulation comprehensively. Results suggest that compared to the near-fault pulse-free ground motion and the far-field ground motion, the near-fault pulse-type ground motion leads to larger lateral beam displacement, lateral train acceleration, and running safety indexes in different degrees. And from the data results of this paper, its lateral wheel–rail force and derailment coefficient are the first to break through the limit values. By studying the parameter sensitivity of lateral train acceleration, it was found that under the near-fault pulse-type ground motion, the lateral train acceleration is significantly more sensitive to changes of train speed and PGA. From the perspective of energy, the near-fault pulse-type ground motion results in spectrum intensity (SI) indexes which are larger and improve faster with the increase of PGA than other ground motions. This indicates that it inputs significantly more energy into the high-speed railway train–track–bridge system, although it may not excite larger lateral beam acceleration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the advent of the semiconductor age and later the age of nanotechnology, the thin film and coating field have established their importance and reasons for doing in-depth studies. Different sophisticated physical techniques, like chemical vapor deposition, sputtering, evaporation, molecular beam epitaxy, etc., and the conventional spin coating or dip coating, have been employed to get thin films of specific materials/compounds. Of all these, physical techniques are particularly preferred for their ability to develop good quality thin film with high uniformity. In the field of experimental material science, there are tremendous efforts in thin film development and the study of their different properties. The properties include topological, electrical, electronic, optical, or other. At the same time, though less explored, there are developments of theoretical understanding regarding the basic mechanism of thin film growth by specific growth mechanism. In doing this, the basic mechanism of thin film growth has been categorized into different broad classes with specific features. The main features include the time dependence of interface width and values of different scaling exponents. Apart from these, studies also addressed different morphological, optical, or electrical properties of the as-grown thin films of specific material. This paper gathers the existing literature that reports the simulation-based theoretical studies related to thin film growth by different algorithms like random deposition, ballistic deposition, random deposition with surface relaxation, or their different combinations. Not only that, but the paper also summarizes different reports related to the simulation-based prediction of the material properties. As the topic is relatively new, the collection of reports added in the last 20 years has been considered.The paper has different sections. Section 1 gives basic introductory ideas related to thin film development and its properties. Sections 2 and 3, respectively, deal with the basics of different existing models and the basic steps involved in the simulation. Section 4 gathers the related results reported by various researchers, followed by a short discussion and final concluding remarks. The limited velocity in a geometry of Lorentzian signature seem to prevent the universe to reach thermodynamic equilibrium as suggested by the cosmic microwave background. Thus it was suggested that the universe which was initially minuscule has reached a more considerable radius in a short duration by a process known as cosmic inflation. However, to drive such a process have led to the suggestion of an ad-hoc scalar field the inflaton, which has no purpose in nature other than driving the cosmic inflation field and then stopping it once the universe reached the right size. In a recent paper it was shown that rapid expansion can occur without postulating an inflation by following Hawking’s suggestion and assuming that primordially the metric of the universe had an Euclidean signature, in which case velocity is not limited and thermalization and rapid expansion are derived without the need to assume an ad-hoc field. However, while in the previous work emphasis was put on the dynamics and physical statistics of the particles in a Euclidean space versus Lorentzian space in which both spaces were given. No mathematical model was given regarding the development of current Lorentzian space-time from the early Euclidean space-time, and how fundamental problems such as the space-time singularity and the homogeneity of the CMB can be solved in the hybrid Euclidean–Lorentzian picture. The Maximum Independent Set problem is well-studied in graph theory and related areas. An independent set of a graph is a subset of non-adjacent vertices of the graph. A maximum independent set is an independent set of maximum size. This paper studies the Maximum Independent Set problem in some classes of geometric intersection graphs in a distributed setting. More precisely, we study the Maximum Independent Set problem on two geometric intersection graphs, interval and axis-parallel segment intersection graphs, and present deterministic distributed algorithms in a model that is similar but a little weaker than the local communication model. We compute the maximum independent set on interval graphs in O(k) rounds and O(n) messages, where k is the size of the maximum independent set and n is the number of nodes in the graph. We provide a matching lower bound of Ω(k) on the number of rounds, whereas Ω(n) is a trivial lower bound on message complexity. Thus, our algorithm is both time and message-optimal. We also study the Maximum Independent Set problem in interval count l graphs, a special case of the interval graphs where the intervals have exactly l different lengths. We propose an 1 2-approximation algorithm that runs in O(l) round. For axis-parallel segment intersection graphs, we design an 1 2-approximation algorithm that obtains a solution in O(D) rounds. A number of previous papers have used the coupled-mode method to assess three-dimensional scattering by cylindrically symmetric anomalies (seamounts, hills) or anomalies which are invariant in a horizontal direction (wedges, ridges). This paper makes an extension to combinations of these two anomaly types. The upper and lower depth boundaries of the anomalies may be flat or irregular, and the sound source may be anywhere in the medium. After a discretization of the anomalies of the two types with laterally homogeneous rings and strips, respectively, an adaptation of the coupled-mode method yields the solution of the pertinent Helmholtz equation. The adaptation involves a combination of Fourier-series summations to handle the ring anomalies and adaptive wavenumber integrations to handle the strip structure. For each anomaly, recursively computed reflection matrices relate the expansion coefficients for incoming and outgoing normal modes. Iterative solution of a linear equation system for the amplitudes of the scattered cylindrical waves from the ring anomalies, involving formulas for transformation between plane and cylindrical waves, yields an expansion of the field. This is a comment on the paper Stoch. Dyn. 19(1) (2019) 1950004, doi:10.1142/S0219493719500047) titled “Averaging Principle for SDEs of Neutral Type Driven by G-Brownian Motion”, preceded by a note on the G-Itô formula. In the commented paper, the authors provided a wrong result and incorrect computations in their Theorem 4.1 and Appendix B, which probably result from the misapplication of the G-Itô Formula in the sublinear expectation theory. Let G be a nontrivial transitive permutation group on a finite set Ω and recall that an element of G is a derangement if it has no fixed points. Derangements always exist by a classical theorem of Jordan, but there are so-called elusive groups that do not contain any derangements of prime order. In a recent paper, Burness and the author introduced the family of almost elusive groups, which contain a unique conjugacy class of derangements of prime order. Short-time traffic flow prediction can not only help urban traffic management to complete the control and induce but also reduce the degree of urban congestion and improve the efficiency of urban operation. At the same time, improving the effect of short-time traffic flow prediction is one of the key points of traffic control and guidance development. Currently, there are many different models for short-term traffic flow prediction, and different prediction models have their different advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, we review the current status of research on short-time traffic flow prediction based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network: first, we analyze the research method in this paper; second, we briefly review the research and application effects of common prediction methods in traffic flow prediction; finally, the optimization method based on LSTM and its application effect are summarized and analyzed from the aspect of LSTM network and its combination model. In the 21st century, understanding the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity has emerged as a pinnacle achievement in condensed matter physics, capturing the lifelong interest of numerous physicists. This paper endeavors to offer a theoretical elucidation for this mechanism, advancing the broader field of physics. Recognizing that high-temperature superconductivity is an aspect of condensed matter physics — underpinned by Maxwell's classical electromagnetic theory — we turn to theoretical mechanics and field theory, which are foundational perspectives in the contemporary scientific era. By framing Maxwell's classical electromagnetic theory within the context of theoretical mechanics and field theory, this paper not only sheds light on the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity but also recasts Maxwell's theory within a purer theoretical mechanics and field theory domain. This represents a paradigmatic shift and cognitive transformation in physics. Furthermore, leveraging this theoretical mechanics and field theory interpretation of electromagnetic phenomena, we discern that electromagnetic phenomena can be more aptly explained without resorting to the concepts of charges and electric fields, leading to a reinterpretation of Coulomb's law. We propose that protons and electrons might exist as entities devoid of charge-specific attributes and negate the possibility of a strongly correlated particle system within them. As an efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical urban public transportation tool, the subway has significant advantages compared to other urban public transportation tools and plays an irreplaceable role in the urban rail transit system. While the subway brings many conveniences to people, its operation has also brought a series of problems to urban development and residents’ lives, especially the vibration and noise problems generated by the subway have become unavoidable and urgent problems to be solved. The traditional wave barriers have a certain effect on attenuating and suppressing the vibration generated by the subway, but it has shortcomings in terms of the width and quantity of elastic wave bandgap (BG), so its application in low-frequency vibration reduction and isolation of subway systems is greatly limited. In order to broaden the elastic BG width and quantity of the wave barrier, this paper designs a novel phononic-like crystal subway wave barrier (PLCSWB) for subway vibration isolation based on locally resonant theory. Firstly, the dispersion curves of the novel PLCSWB are calculated using the improved plane wave expansion method and finite element method (FEM), and compared with the dispersion curves of traditional phononic crystal (PC) wave barriers. Secondly, the frequency response function of the novel PLCSWB is calculated using FEM to evaluate its attenuation effect on vibration, and the energy distribution characteristics at its BG boundary are analyzed. Then, the main factors affecting the BG of the novel PLCSWB are analyzed, and a spring–mass system equivalent model of the novel PLCSWB is established to theoretically estimate its BG range. Finally, the vibration data of the tunnel wall monitored on site are used to analyze and verify the vibration isolation effect of the novel PLCSWB. The results show that the novel PLCSWB opens five low-frequency BGs in the 200Hz frequency band, which increased the total width of the opened BGs by 49% compared to traditional PC wave barriers. In the frequency range of the BG, the attenuation value of the novel PLCSWB to vibration is mostly above 30dB, and the energy distribution inside the structure is mainly concentrated in the primitive cell that controls the BG, indicating good attenuation and control effects on vibration. The main factors affecting the BG of the novel PLCSWB are the density of the scatterer material, the elastic modulus, and the thickness of the wrapping layer material. Moreover, during subway operation, the novel PLCSWB has a good attenuation effect on the vibration transmitted from the tunnel wall to the soil. Among them, the maximum vibration acceleration amplitude of the novel PLCSWB with nine rows is reduced by 47%, and the vibration isolation performance is remarkable. The relevant research results of this paper provide a novel approach and method for the study of subway vibration reduction and isolation, and can also provide specific references for the design and development of wave barriers. This paper employs the monotonicity analysis for non-negativity to derive a class of sequential fractional backward differences of Riemann–Liouville type a+1RL∇νaRL∇αu (t) based on a certain subspace in the parameter space (0, 1) × (0, 1). Auxiliary and restriction conditions are included in the monotonicity results obtained in this paper and they confirm the monotonicity of the function on {a + 2,a + 3,…}. A non-monotonicity result is also established based on the main conditions together with further dual conditions, and this confirms that the main theorem is almost sharp. Furthermore, we recast the dual conditions in a sing condition, and then we represent the sharpness result in a new corollary. In this paper, we study an unconstrained l2,p minimization and its associated iteratively reweighted least squares algorithm (UBIRLS) for recovering block sparse signals. Wang et al. [Y. Wang, J. Wang and Z. Xu, On recovery of block-sparse signals via mixed l2/lq (0 < q ≤ 1) norm minimization, EURASIP J. Adv. Signal Process. 2013(76) (2013) 76] have used numerical experiments to show the remarkable performance of UBIRLS algorithm for recovering a block sparse signal, but no theoretical analysis such as convergence and convergence rate analysis of UBIRLS algorithm was given. We focus on providing convergence and convergence rate analysis of UBIRLS algorithm for block sparse recovery problem. First, the convergence of UBIRLS is proved strictly. Second, based on the block restricted isometry property (block RIP) of linear measurement matrix A, we give the error bound analysis of the UBIRLS algorithm. Lastly, we also characterize the local convergence behavior of the UBIRLS algorithm. The simplicity of UBIRLS algorithm, along with the theoretical guarantees provided in this paper, will make a compelling case for its adoption as a standard tool for block sparse recovery. The pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) based on chaos has been widely used in the fields of digital communication, cryptography and computer simulation. In this paper, we study a new PRNG based on spatial surface chaotic system (SSCS), which is constructed based on coupling mapping lattice (CML) and one-dimensional Logistic chaotic map. To verify the performance of this generator, we study its nonlinear dynamic properties, including the Lyapunov exponent, ergodicity and bifurcation phenomena. Moreover, we analyze the cryptographic properties such as key space, key sensitivity, correlation, histogram and information entropy, while performing NIST SP800-22 test and TestU01 test for the randomness of this system. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results show that the PRNG proposed in this paper has good complexity, ergodicity, sensitivity and randomness. Moreover, the key space can increase dynamically with the increase of encrypted data, especially suitable for the protection of big data such as multimedia, which is more advantageous than most existing chaotic mapping. The results of this paper will provide a new idea for the study of chaotic cryptography, and motivate the study of new discrete chaotic models with desirable statistical properties. Over the years questions have arisen about T-ideals of (noncommutative) polynomials. But when evaluating a noncentral polynomial in subalgebras of matrices, one often has little control in determining the specific evaluations of the polynomial. One way of overcoming this difficulty in characteristic 0, is to reduce to multilinear polynomials and to utilize the representation theory of the symmetric group. But this technique is unavailable in characteristic p > 0. An alternative method, which succeeds, is the process of "hiking" a polynomial, in which one specializes its indeterminates in several stages, to obtain a polynomial in which Capelli polynomial is embedded, in order to get control on its evaluations. This method was utilized on homogeneous polynomials in the proof of Specht's conjecture for affine algebras over fields of positive characteristic. In this paper, we develop hiking further to nonhomogeneous polynomials, to apply to the "representability question." Kemer proved in 1988 that every affine relatively free PI algebra over an infinite field, is representable. In 2010, the first author of this paper proved more generally that every affine relatively free PI algebra over any commutative Noetherian unital ring is representable [A. Belov, Local finite basis property and local representability of varieties of associative rings, Izv. Russian Acad. Sci. (1) (2010) 3–134. English Translation Izv. Math. 74(1) (2010) 1–126]. We present a different, complete, proof, based on hiking nonhomogeneous polynomials, over finite fields. We then obtain the full result over a Noetherian commutative ring, using Noetherian induction on T-ideals. The bulk of the proof is for the case of a base field of positive characteristic. Here, whereas the usage of hiking is more direct than in proving Specht's conjecture, one must consider nonhomogeneous polynomials when the base ring is finite, which entails certain difficulties to be overcome. This work investigates a prey–predator model featuring a Holling-type II functional response, in which the fear effect of predation on the prey species, as well as prey refuge, are considered. Specifically, the model assumes that the growth rate of the prey population decreases as a result of the fear of predators. Moreover, the detection of the predator by the prey species is subject to a delay known as the fear response delay, which is incorporated into the model. The paper establishes the preliminary conditions for the solution of the delayed model, including positivity, boundedness and permanence. The paper discusses the existence and stability of equilibrium points in the model. In particular, the paper considers the discrete delay as a bifurcation parameter, demonstrating that the system undergoes Hopf bifurcation at a critical value of the delay parameter. The direction and stability of periodic solutions are determined using central manifold and normal form theory. Additionally, the global stability of the model is established at axial and positive equilibrium points. The enhanced power graph of a group G is a simple undirected graph with vertex set G and two vertices are adjacent if they belong to the same cyclic subgroup. In this paper, we obtain the Laplacian spectrum of the enhanced power graph of certain non-abelian groups, viz. semidihedral, dihedral and generalized quaternion. Also, we obtained the metric dimension and the resolving polynomial of the enhanced power graphs of these groups. The paper deals with the problem of obtaining a given dynamic behavior of simply supported bridge beams from the impact of rolling stock. Resonant vibrations of beams become a reality at high speeds if the train is formed of identical cars, which is typical for passenger trains. The phenomenon of suppression of beam vibrations by a train, known from publications, is possible only with an exact ratio of the length of the car and the beam. This significantly reduces the possibilities of choosing the necessary spans of beams. Consideration of issues of interaction in the "bridge–track—train" system for security purposes requires the involvement of a rather complex mathematical apparatus and appropriate software. The paper proposes a new method for determining the specified dynamic behavior of bridge beams, suitable for any spans and available to engineers at the stage of pre-design assignment of dynamic parameters of beams. The requirements that are necessary and sufficient conditions for preventing the resonance of bridge beams on the HSR are determined. The stationary random response characteristics of irregular quadrilateral plates under the base acceleration excitation are investigated in this paper. The computational model chosen in this paper is functionally graded graphene platelet reinforced composites (FG-GPLRC). Simultaneously, the material parameters are calculated employing the modified Halpin–Tsai model. A unified dynamic model based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is proposed for FG-GPLRC irregular plates, where the displacement variables are considered as the first kind Chebyshev polynomials combined with coordinate transformation. The Chebyshev–Ritz method is utilized to derive the kinetic equations of irregular quadrilateral plates, and then the pseudo-excitation method (PEM) is employed to solve the stationary stochastic response of the system under the base acceleration excitation. The free vibration and stationary stochastic response of the plates under various boundaries are validated by a sufficient number of numerical studies, and the computational results display a favorable match with the published literature and finite element method (FEM), which verifies the correctness and reliability of the present method. Finally, a detailed parametric analysis of the stationary stochastic response characteristics of FG-GPLRC irregular quadrilateral plates is presented. Analytical methods provide crucial mathematical insights into the stable solitary waves hidden in nonlinear phenomena. The nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation is one of the most important typical integrable soliton models. From a mathematical perspective, the essence of the celebrated derivative NLS (DNLS) equation’s difference from the classical NLS equation lies in its cubic potential being differentiated once by the spatial variable and multiplied by the imaginary unit, which leads to the former having some characteristics that the latter cannot have. This paper extends the DNLS equation to the fractional integrable case with conformable derivative operators, and uses Darboux transformations (DTs) and generalized DT (GDT) to solve it exactly. Specifically, Lax pairs generating the fractional DNLS equation are first given. Based on the given Lax pairs, then the n-fold DTs and GDT for the fractional DNLS equation are derived. Some special exact solutions of the fractional DNLS equation are further obtained by employing the derived n-fold DTs and GDT. Finally, several novel space–time structures and dynamical evolutions of the obtained exact solutions are analyzed. This paper reveals through the DT and GDT methods that the double power-law fractional orders in the exact solutions of the fractional DNLS equation can be used to dominate the variable velocity propagation and anomalous diffusion in fractional dimensional media at different geometric scales. Smooth and discontinuous (SD) oscillators are the nonlinear models that will exhibit SD dynamics due to continuous variation of the smooth parameter. Kosambi–Cartan–Chern (KCC) theory is a differential geometric theory that describes the deviations from the entire trajectory of the variational equation to the nearby trajectory. This paper presents a completely new dynamical analysis of a type of SD oscillators with nonlinear damping based on the KCC theory. First, the paper gives five KCC geometrical invariants of SD oscillators in the smooth and non-smooth cases, respectively. The results show that the geometric quantities in the non-smooth case cannot be derived directly from the geometric quantities in the smooth case. Second, from these geometric quantities, KCC stability of SD oscillators trajectory at any point except x = 0 is analyzed. Lastly, numerical results show that in some regions that deviate from the equilibrium point of system, the system will exhibit complex and variable dynamical behavior due to small changes in parameters. Video anomaly detection has always been a challenging task in computer vision due to data imbalance and susceptibility to scene variations such as lighting and occlusions. In response to this challenge, this paper proposes an unsupervised video anomaly detection method based on an attention-enhanced memory network. The method utilizes a dual-stream network structure of autoencoders, enhancing the model’s learning ability for important features in appearance and motion by introducing coordinate attention mechanisms and variance attention mechanisms, emphasizing significant characteristics of static objects and rapidly moving regions. By adding memory modules to both the appearance and motion branches, the network structure’s memory information is reinforced, enabling it to capture long-term spatiotemporal dependencies in videos and thereby improving the accuracy of anomaly detection. Furthermore, by optimizing the network structure’s activation functions to handle negative inputs, it enhances its nonlinear modeling capabilities, enabling better adaptation to complex environments, including variations in lighting and occlusions, further improving the effectiveness of anomaly detection. The paper conducts comparative experiments and ablation studies using three public available datasets and various models. The results demonstrate that compared to baseline models, the AUC performance is improved by 3.9%, 4.7%, and 1.7% on UCSD Ped2, CHUK Avenue, and ShanghaiTech datasets, respectively. When compared with the other models, the average AUC performance is improved by 4.3%, 5.4%, and 6.2%, with an average improvement of 8.75% in the ERR metric, validating the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed method. This paper describes the fundamental characteristics of cavitation in non-Newtonian liquids and bubble dynamics and then applies them to the domains of bioengineering and biomedicine. The goal of this paper is to examine how Newtonian nanomaterial flows hydromagnetically when subjected to a spinning disc considering such biomedical and bioengineering applications. The vertical axis of the disc rotates with a uniform angular frequency. The fundamental mathematical expressions are governed by the Navier–Stokes equations with the Maxwell equations of magnetism, we obtained ordinary differential equations utilizing Von Kármán's similarity transformations. Additionally, the effects of the magnetic field and radiation restrictions are considered. The RK-4 technique is used to solve the transmuted nonlinear ODEs. The analysis of MATLAB generated flow profiles has looked for changes in the values of key parameters. It is discovered that an increase in the thermal radiation parameter causes a decrease in the nanofluid temperature while an increase in the volume fraction of magnetite nanoparticles causes an increase. The skin-friction and heat-transfer rate at the disc are highly influenced by its rotational, the porosity of the porous media, thermal radiation and nanoparticle size. In this paper, the influence of velocity slip and the Newtonian heating parameters on Williamson Nanofluid across a variable stretching sheet is studied. The basic fluid flow equations are turned into a system of coupled ordinary differential equations with appropriate conditions, which are solved numerically with the Keller-box approach. The outcomes show that, increasing Williamson parameter, due to the viscosity velocity of the fluid slowdown. As a result, it is noticed that the velocity slip parameter reduces Williamson Nanofluid velocity, while increasing shear stress, according to the results. This paper presents a novel approach to enhance the energy absorption (EA) of honeycombs in the out-of-plane direction. Inspired by the Koch fractal, a fractal hexagonal honeycomb (FHH) is presented in this paper. In our study, we use Abaqus/Explicit to build a finite element model of the honeycomb, through which we conduct a series of studies on the performance of this honeycomb. Initially, we compare the mechanical properties and deformation modes of the FHH with those of a conventional hexagonal honeycomb. The results demonstrate notable improvements in crashworthiness metrics for the FHH, including a 52% increase in specific EA, a 45% enhancement in crushing load efficiency (CLE), and an 8% reduction in peak crushing force (PCF) compared to the conventional counterpart. Subsequently, this paper investigates the fractal arc honeycomb and evaluates the effect of the center angle on mechanical properties by varying its value. Furthermore, the mechanical properties of layered honeycomb and fractal honeycomb structures with different wall thicknesses are systematically examined. In the last section, we explore the theoretical analysis of the fractal-hexagonal honeycomb and find that the results of the theoretical analysis are in good agreement with those of the simulation, indicating that the experimental simulation results are reliable. Overall, the findings of this study offer valuable insights for the innovative design of hexagonal honeycomb structures, providing a reference for future advancements in this field. This paper presents a novel analytical solution for the buckling load in 3D of columns that fills a gap in the existing literature by accounting for shear deformation and spatial effects. The latter means that a column can be supported and buckle in any direction. We build on the foundational work of Simo and use a 3D beam model to derive a set of equations that form the basis for our analytical solution. The paper outlines the axioms of the Simo model, presents the corresponding equations, and describes the linearization procedure in details. By linearizing the equations we obtain a set of algebraic equations with boundary conditions, which we manipulate into an analytical solution for the buckling load. An illustrative example using a column with an elliptical cross-section shows how different boundary conditions and the spatial orientation of the column influence the buckling load. In this paper, we propose an algebraic approach to the definition of Hidden Markov Processes (HMP) which has two advantages: on the one hand, it prepares the ground for the quantum extension of these processes (discussed in the second part of this paper), on the other hand it suggests two natural extensions of these processes: one of them highlights a different notion of conditional independence between the observable and the hidden process; the other one drops the assumption that the hidden process is Markov. The latter extension is motivated by the examples of hidden, but not hidden Markov processes produced in the second part of the paper. This paper presents a methodical dynamical analysis of the Big Bang model, taking into account dark matter and an arbitrary form of dark energy. Nevertheless, why dynamic analysis? The primary advantage of the dynamical analysis approach is that it obviates the necessity to precisely solve the system for every individual dependent variable. Instead, it enables the prediction of the overall evolutions. In this regard, there are some powerful tools of non-dynamical systems (theorems, perturbation, etc.) which can help us a lot. The model under consideration is a nonlinear system with two dimensions (2D). In order to investigate this, we employ a sophisticated form of nonlinear dynamical systems theory in our research. We have delved into the full potential of nonlinear dynamical system theory known until now in our work. This analysis has produced very interesting solutions, which are in quite a contrast with the linear analysis approach. The stability of the system is considered at length, and the corresponding evolutions of the universe are also discussed consequently. A handful number of figures are given to visualize the behavior of the evolutions. The plots that are presented here are vector field plots and a new plotting technique initiated by us and used in our earlier papers. Interestingly, our work indicates the universe might resemble “phantom” evolution. Also, among the fixed points of our model, one is able to escape the singular situation called “Big Rip”. The concept of vulnerability in a communication network plays an important role when there is a disruption in the network. There exist several graph parameters that measure the vulnerability of a communication network. Domination integrity is one of the vulnerability parameters that measure the performance of a communication network. In this paper, we introduce the concept of paired domination integrity of a graph as a new measure of graph vulnerability. Let G = (V,E) be a simple, connected graph. A set of vertices in a graph G, say S, is a paired dominating set if the following two conditions are satisfied: (i) every vertex of G has a neighbor in S and (ii) the subgraph induced by S contains a perfect matching. The paired domination integrity of G, denoted by PDI(G), is defined as PDI(G) = min{|S| + m(G − S) : S is a paired dominating set of G}, where m(G − S) is the order of the largest component in the induced subgraph of G − S. In this paper, a mathematical model for a solid spherically symmetric vascular tumor growth with nutrient periodic supply and time delays is studied. Compared to the apoptosis process of tumor cells, there is a time delay in the process of tumor cell division. The cells inside the tumor obtain nutrient σ(r,t) through blood vessels, and the tumor attracts blood vessels at a rate proportional to α(t). So, the boundary value condition ∂σ ∂r + α(t)(σ − ψ(t)) = 0,r = R(t),t > 0, holds on the boundary, where the function ψ(t) is the concentration of nutrient externally supplied to the tumor. Considering that the nutrients provided by the outside world are often periodic, the research in this paper assumes that ψ(t) is a periodic function. Sufficient conditions for the global stability of zero steady state are presented. Under certain conditions, we prove that there exists at least one periodic solution to the model. In interdependent networks, link addition strategies can enhance the connectivity of networks, thus improving robustness in the face of cascading failures. In this paper, first, interdependent networks models under various coupling methods and cascading failures model are proposed. Moreover, link addition strategies and node importance metrics are obtained. Finally, this paper analyzes the influence of link addition strategies and node importance metrics on robustness under three coupling methods. Besides, the effects of coupling ratio and link addition ratio on robustness in the interdependent network under different coupling methods are also analyzed. The simulation results show in partial coupled networks, intra-layer link addition strategy (Intra LAS) is more robust. In one-to-one coupled networks, inter-layer link addition strategy (Inter LAS) yields better performance in improving robustness when the number of initial attacked nodes is fewer, and intra-layer link addition strategy (Intra LAS) is more robust when more nodes are attacked initially. The effect of network size and the average degree of network on this result are also discussed. The variation trend of networks with multiple dependencies is similar to that of partial coupled network with high coupling rate, but it has less robust than partial coupled network. The bioconvective flows are truly connected to real-life and engineering development. So, the models of biomicrosystems and biocells are considered for the technical analysis in this paper. Our intention for the current analysis was to theoretically examine electrical conduction flow into mass and heat transfer by an extensive gyrotactic microorganism into an inclined magnetic field toward a vertical stretching sheet with nonlinear solar radiation with different solar thermal appliances. The effect on velocity slip and Joule heating was again studied in detail. This classical problem on Navier Stokes equations to the current imitation was decreased to ordinary differential equations by applying the comparison method. The numerical solutions were changed by boundary value problem (BVP) to clarify the subject into finite difference numerical scheme by applying MATLAB. The important results show that the density of motile microorganisms reduces to the bioconvection Lewis number and Peclet number, although reverse performance was noticed for the bioconvection Rayleigh number. In this paper, the impact of the strong Allee effect and ratio-dependent Holling–Tanner functional response on the dynamical behaviors of a predator–prey system is investigated. First, the positivity and boundedness of solutions of the system are proved. Then, stability and bifurcation analysis on equilibria is provided, with explicit conditions obtained for Hopf bifurcation. Moreover, global dynamics of the system is discussed. In particular, the degenerate singular point at the origin is proved to be globally asymptotically stable under various conditions. Further, a detailed bifurcation analysis is presented to show that the system undergoes a codimension- 1 Hopf bifurcation and a codimension- 2 cusp Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation. Simulations are given to illustrate the theoretical predictions. The results obtained in this paper indicate that the strong Allee effect and proportional dependence coefficient have significant impact on the fundamental change of predator–prey dynamics and the species persistence. In this paper, the qualitative properties of a physically extended six-dimensional Lorenz system, with additional physical terms describing rotation and density, which was proposed in [Moon et al., 2019] have been investigated. The dissipation, invariance, Lyapunov exponents, Kaplan–Yorke dimension, ultimate boundedness and global attractivity of this six-dimensional Lorenz system have been discussed in detail according to the chaotic systems theory. We find that this system exhibits chaos phenomena for a new set of parameters. It is well known that the general method for studying the bounds of a chaotic system is to construct a suitable Lyapunov-like function (or the generalized positive definite and radically unbounded Lyapunov function). However, the higher the dimension of a chaotic system, the more difficult it is to construct the Lyapunov-like function. The innovation of this paper is that we first construct the suitable Lyapunov-like function for this six-dimensional Lorenz system, and then we prove that this system is not only globally bounded for varying parameters, but it also gives a collection of global absorbing sets for this system with respect to all parameters of this system according to Lyapunov's direct method and the optimization method. Furthermore, we obtain the rate of the trajectories going from the exterior to the global absorbing set. Some numerical simulations are presented to validate our research results. Finally, we give a direct application of the results obtained in this paper. This paper investigates the free vibration of functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich plates supported by different boundary conditions and influenced by a three-parameter viscoelastic foundation and hygro-thermal changes. Three types of FGM sandwich plates are studied and discussed, in which the FGM layers vary according to the power law rule and consist of ceramic and metal materials. An efficient and simple four-variable integral higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT) is employed to model the analytical solution of the considered problem. Hamilton principle is implemented to obtain the plates' governing equations and to derive the eigenvalue equation for the free vibration study. The model is verified by comparing numerical results with previous studies on the vibration of exponentially graded plates. Domain adaptation is a subfield of statistical learning theory that takes into account the shift between the distribution of training and test data, typically known as source and target domains, respectively. In this context, this paper presents an incremental approach to tackle the intricate challenge of unsupervised domain adaptation, where labeled data within the target domain is unavailable. The proposed approach, OTP-DA, endeavors to learn a sequence of joint subspaces from both the source and target domains using Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), such that the projected data into these subspaces are domain-invariant and well-separated. Nonetheless, the necessity of labeled data for LDA to derive the projection matrix presents a substantial impediment, given the absence of labels within the target domain in the setting of unsupervised domain adaptation. To circumvent this limitation, we introduce a selective label propagation technique grounded on optimal transport (OTP), to generate pseudo-labels for target data, which serve as surrogates for the unknown labels. We anticipate that the process of inferring labels for target data will be substantially streamlined within the acquired latent subspaces, thereby facilitating a self-training mechanism. Furthermore, our paper provides a rigorous theoretical analysis of OTP-DA, underpinned by the concept of weak domain adaptation learners, thereby elucidating the requisite conditions for the proposed approach to solve the problem of unsupervised domain adaptation efficiently. Experimentation across a spectrum of visual domain adaptation problems suggests that OTP-DA exhibits promising efficacy and robustness, positioning it favorably compared to several state-of-the-art methods. This paper explores the truncated M-fractional three-component coupled nonlinear Schrödinger (tc-CNLS) equation, that regulates the behavior of optical pulses in optical fibers. The freshly invented integration tools, known as the fractional modified Sardar subequation method (MSSEM) and fractional enhanced modified extended tanh-expansion method (eMETEM), are employed to ensure the solutions. The study focuses on extracting various types of optical solitons, including bright, dark, singular, bright-dark, complex, and combined solitons. Optical soliton propagation in optical fibers is currently a subject of great interest due to the multiple prospects for ultrafast signal routing systems and short light pulses in communications. In nonlinear dispersive media, optical solitons are stretched electromagnetic waves that maintain their intensity due to a balance between the effects of dispersion and nonlinearity. Furthermore, hyperbolic, periodic and exponential solutions are generated. The utilized methodology is effective in explaining fractional nonlinear partial differential equations (FNLPDEs) as it offers pre-existing solutions and additionally derives novel exact solutions by mixing outcomes from various procedures. Furthermore, we plot the visualizations of solutions by plotting 3D, 2D, and contour graphs with the corresponding parameter values. The findings of this paper can improve the understanding of the nonlinear dynamical behavior of a specific system and demonstrate the efficacy of the methodology used. We anticipate that our study will provide substantial benefits to a considerable group of engineering model experts. Bera [Line graph characterization of power graphs of finite nilpotent groups, Comm. Algebra 50(11) (2022) 4652–4668] characterized finite nilpotent groups whose power graphs and proper power graphs are line graphs. In this paper, we extend the results of above-mentioned paper to arbitrary finite groups. Also, we correct the corresponding result of the proper power graphs of dihedral groups. Moreover, we classify all the finite groups whose enhanced power graphs are line graphs. We classify all the finite nilpotent groups (except non-abelian 2-groups) whose proper enhanced power graphs are line graphs of some graphs. This study describes an easy and cheap inkjet printing method for producing a paper-based gas sensor consisting of a composite film made of graphene oxide and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). A glossy paper substrate is an inkjet printed with ink made by dispersing graphene oxide in a PEDOT:PSS conducting polymer solution to test its ability to detect ammonia (NH3) at ambient temperature. The presence of few-layer graphene oxide in the PEDOT:PSS copolymer and the existence of π-π interactions between graphene oxide and PEDOT:PSS are confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV–Visible spectrophotometer, and X-ray diffraction. In a small concentration range of 1–100 ppm at ambient temperature, the ink-jet printed graphene oxide-PEDOT:PSS gas sensor displays strong responsiveness and good selectivity to NH3. The study found that NH4 is a strong donor in the ammonia gas produced by a bubble system of ammonia water, with NH4 molecules being ideal candidates for molecular doping of graphene. The H2O molecule can facilitate quick desorption by converting NH3 to NH4. The interaction between graphene oxide and NH3 molecules is weak. The attained gas-sensing performance may be attributed to the increased specific surface area of graphene oxide and enhanced interactions between the sensing film and NH3 molecules via π and lone pair electron network. The NH3-sensing mechanisms of the flexible printed gas sensor are based on the competitive interaction of ammonia on the sensor, adsorption and dissociate ionization on the sensor surface. Uncertainty in the master–slave model is one of the primary factors affecting the transparency of teleoperation systems, and congestion in the master–slave communication network also greatly influences the performance of the teleoperation system. This paper proposes a combined framework of adaptive and impedance control to address the uncertainty in the master–slave model and achieve smooth operation at the slave end. Building upon this linear model, an event-triggered mechanism is designed using Lyapunov functions, with dynamic online adjustment of the triggering threshold parameters. Following the completion of the aforementioned research, control objectives are established to validate the performance of the teleoperation control system proposed in this paper.
