Abstract

Introduction:: Tobacco use disproportionately affects some ethnic minority populations. Important gains in understanding the relationship between acculturation and tobacco use have been hindered by the lack of available data, large samples of specific immigrant groups. This study is among the first to use electronic medical record (EMR) data to examine differences in tobacco use associated with acculturation among various population groups.
