The article focuses on the increasing price of newsprint in the United States. Skyrocketing newsprint prices have been blamed for everything from a hiring freeze at the newspaper "The Dallas Morning News," to a price hike for the Sunday edition of the newspaper "The New York Times." With no easing on the newsprint front, where costs are up by about 35 percent to 40 percent over a year ago, this year's price jumps ultimately may give newspaper publishers another strong shove toward the electronic media.
