Abstract
The article reports on the status of the paper industry in the fourth quarter of 2014. Topics discussed include the increase in boxboard production in August as per the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), the plan of Kruger Inc. to shut down one of its newsprint machines and its pulp plant operations in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and the intention of Verso Paper to close down its coated groundwood paper mill in Bucksport, Maine.

The article offers information about the move of Kruger Inc. to announce the launch of the No.10 Paper Machine (PM10) rebuild project at its Trois-Rivires Mill in Canada. It discusses the linerboard grades manufacturing which seeks to meet increasing demand for ultra-light packaging without compromising strength, performanc, and environmental footprint as well as offers information about PM10's annual production of XTR linerboard.
The article announces that the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) has given Chain of Custody (CoC) certifications with FSC-C103971 license code to three sawmills and three Québec-based paper mills of Kruger Inc.
