This paper is devoted to describing a linear diffusion problem involving fractional-in-time derivatives and self-adjoint integro-differential space operators posed in bounded domains. One main concern of our paper is to deal with singular boundary data which are typical of fractional diffusion operators in space, and the other one is the consideration of the fractional-in-time Caputo and Riemann–Liouville derivatives in a unified way. We first construct classical solutions of our problems using the spectral theory and discussing the corresponding fractional-in-time ordinary differential equations. We take advantage of the duality between these fractional-in-time derivatives to introduce the notion of weak-dual solution for weighted-integrable data. In this paper, a generalized equal width wave equation involving space fractal derivatives and time Caputo fractional derivatives is studied and its approximate analytical solution is presented by the Adomian decomposition method. This paper investigates the leader and leaderless bipartite synchronization with the signed network utilizing the model of multiple memristor and coupled delayed neural network in an event-triggered pinning control. The usage of the descriptor method in fractional-order neural networks in case of a non-differentiable delay can be seen in this paper. Further, Lyapunov functional criteria, including Lur'e Postnikov Lyapunov functional, is established, and bipartite leader and leaderless synchronization are proved. This paper investigates Cauchy problems of nonlinear parabolic equation with a Caputo fractional derivative. When the initial datum is sufficiently small in some appropriate spaces, we demonstrate the existence in global time and uniqueness of a mild solution in fractional Sobolev spaces using some novel techniques. Under some suitable assumptions on the initial datum, we show that the mild solution of the time fractional parabolic equation converges to the mild solution of the classical problem when α → 1 − . Under some appropriate assumptions on the initial datum, we show that the mild solution of the time fractional diffusion equation converges to the mild solution of the classical problem when α → 1 − . Our theoretical results can be widely applied to many different equations such as the Hamilton–Jacobi equation, the Navier–Stokes equation in two cases: the fractional derivative and the classical derivative. Our paper also provides a completely new answer to the related open problem of convergence of solutions to fractional diffusion equations as the order of fractional derivative approaches 1−. In recent years, fractional calculus (FC) has filled in a hole in traditional calculus in terms of the effect of memory, which lets us know things about the past and present and guess what will happen in the future. It is very important to have this function, especially when studying biological models and integral equations. This paper introduces developed mathematical strategies for understanding a direct arrangement of fractional integro-differential equations (FIDEs). We have presented the least squares procedure and the Legendre strategy for discussing FIDEs. We have given the form of the Caputo concept fractional order operator and the properties. We have presented the properties of the shifted Legendre polynomials. We have shown the steps of the technique to display the solution. Some test examples are given to exhibit the precision and relevance of the introduced strategies. Mathematical outcomes show that this methodology is a comparison between the exact solution and the methods suggested. To show the theoretical results gained, the simulation of suggested strategies is given in eye-catching figures and tables. This paper describes a new class of boundary value fractional-order differential equations of the q-Hilfer and q-Caputo types, with separated boundary conditions. The presented problem is converted to an equivalent integral form, and fixed-point theorems are used to prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions. In this work, the time-fractional Tricomi equation is investigated via two efficient computational techniques. This equation is used to explain the nearly sonic speed gas dynamics phenomenon. The Homotopy perturbation transform technique, which is a combination of Laplace transform and a semi-analytical technique, and Homotopy analysis method are used to solve the time-fractional Tricomi equation. The existence and uniqueness of the solution is analyzed by using two different fixed-point theorems. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed techniques is illustrated through two test examples by comparing the absolute error of proposed techniques with the existing techniques and the result achieved in this paper benefits (but not limited to) the gas flow dynamics. The utilization of time-fractional PDEs in diverse fields within science and technology has attracted significant interest from researchers. This paper presents a relatively new numerical approach aimed at solving two-term time-fractional PDE models in two and three dimensions. We combined the Liouville–Caputo fractional derivative scheme with the Strang splitting algorithm for the temporal component and employed a meshless technique for spatial derivatives utilizing Lucas and Fibonacci polynomials. The rising demand for meshless methods stems from their inherent mesh-free nature and suitability for higher dimensions. Moreover, this approach demonstrates the effective approximation of solutions across both regular and irregular domains. Error norms were used to assess the accuracy of the methodology across both regular and irregular domains. A comparative analysis was conducted between the exact solution and alternative numerical methods found in the contemporary literature. This paper is devoted to the study of Hyers–Ulam–Rassias (HUR) stability of a nonlinear Caputo fractional delay differential equation (CFrDDE) with multiple variable time delays. We obtain two new theorems with regard to HUR stability of the CFrDDE on bounded and unbounded intervals. The method of the proofs is based on the fixed point approach. This paper studies distributed optimal control for non-cooperative systems involving time-fractional hyperbolic operators. Through the application of the Lax–Milgram theorem, we confirm the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions. Central to our approach is the utilization of the linear quadratic cost functional, which is meticulously crafted to encapsulate the interplay between the system's state and control variables. This functional serves as a pivotal tool in imposing constraints on the dynamic system under consideration, facilitating a nuanced understanding of its controllability. Using the Euler–Lagrange first-order optimality conditions with an adjoint problem defined by means of the right-time fractional derivative in the Caputo sense, we obtain an optimality system for the optimal control. Rubella is a viral disease that can lead to severe health complications, especially in pregnant women and their unborn babies. Understanding the dynamics of the Rubella disease model is crucial for developing effective strategies to control its spread. This paper introduces a major innovation by employing a novel piecewise approach that incorporates two different kernels. This innovative approach significantly enhances the accuracy of modeling Rubella disease dynamics. In the first interval, the Caputo operator is employed to address initial conditions, while the Atangana–Baleanu derivative is utilized in the second interval to account for anomalous diffusion processes. A thorough theoretical analysis of the piecewise derivative for the problem is provided, discussing mathematical properties, stability, and convergence. To solve the proposed problem effectively, the piecewise numerical Newton polynomial technique is employed and the numerical scheme for both kernels is established. Through extensive numerical simulations with various fractional orders, the paper demonstrates the approach's effectiveness and flexibility in modeling the spread of the Rubella virus. Furthermore, to validate the findings, the simulated results are compared with real data obtained from Rubella outbreaks in Uganda and Tanzania, confirming the practical relevance and accuracy of this innovative model. The paper investigates the controllability of fractional descriptor linear systems with constant delays in control. The Caputo fractional derivative is considered. Using the Drazin inverse and the Laplace transform, a formula for solving of the matrix state equation is obtained. New criteria of relative controllability for Caputo’s fractional descriptor systems are formulated and proved. Both constrained and unconstrained controls are considered. This paper deals with a perturbed nonlinear system of fractional order differential equations (FrODEs) with Caputo derivative. The purpose of the paper is to discuss uniform stability (US), asymptotic stability (AS), Mittag-Leffer stability (MLS) of zero solution and boundedness at infinity of non-zero solutions of this perturbed nonlinear system of FrODEs with Caputo derivative. We obtain four new theorems on these mathematical concepts via a Lyapunov function (LF) and its Caputo derivative. For illustration, an example is provided which satisfies assumptions of the four new results and, in particular, shows their applications. In this paper, we present the design of a fractional-order sliding mode observer (FO-SMO) for actuator fault estimation in a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (QUAV) system. Actuator faults can significantly compromise the stability and performance of QUAV systems; therefore, early detection and compensation are crucial. Sliding mode observers (SMOs) have recently demonstrated their accuracy in estimating faults in QUAV systems under matched uncertainties. However, existing SMOs encounter difficulties associated with chattering and sensitivity to initial conditions and noise. These challenges significantly impact the precision of fault estimation and may even render fault estimation impossible depending on the magnitude of the fault. To address these challenges, we propose a new fractional-order SMO structure based on the Caputo derivative definition. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed FO-SMO in overcoming the limitations associated with classical SMOs, we assess the robustness of the FO-SMO under three distinct scenarios. First, we examined its performance in estimating actuator faults under varying initial conditions. Second, we evaluated its ability to handle significant chattering phenomena during fault estimation. Finally, we analyzed its performance in fault estimation under noisy conditions. For comparison purposes, we assess the performance of both observers using the Normalized Root-Mean-Square Error (NRMSE) criterion. The results demonstrate that our approach enables more accurate actuator fault estimation, particularly in scenarios involving chattering phenomena and noise. In contrast, the performance of classical (non-fractional) SMO suffers significantly under these conditions. In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions to the fractional Navier–Stokes equations related to time derivative of order α ∈ (0 , 1) . And the mild solution is associated with the sublaplacian provided by the left invariant vector fields on the Heisenberg group. We demonstrate that when the nonlinear external force term matches the applicable conditions, the global mild solution can be obtained by using improved Ascoli–Arzela theorem and Schaefer's fixed point theorem. Along with the developing technology, obesity and diabetes are increasing rapidly among people. The identification of diabetes diseases, modeling, predicting their behavior, conducting simulations, studying control and treatment methods using mathematical methods has become of great importance. In this paper, we have obtained numerical solutions by considering the glucose-insulin fractional model. This model consists of three compartments: the blood glucose concentration (G), the blood insulin concentration (I) and the ready-to-absorb glucose concentration (D) in the small intestine. The fractional derivative is used in the sense of Caputo. By performing mathematical analyzes for the Glucose-Insulin fractional mathematical model, numerical results were obtained with the help of the Euler method and graphs were drawn. This paper is concerned with solving the problem of identifying the control vector problem for a fractional multi-order system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs). We describe a quasilinearization approach, based on minimization of a quadratic functional, to compute the values of the unknown parameter vector. Numerical algorithm combining the method with appropriate fractional derivative approximation on graded mesh is applied to SIS and SEIR problems to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy. Tikhonov regularization is implemented to improve the convergence. Results from computations, both with noisy-free and noisy data, are provided and discussed. In this paper, we examine the time-dependent two-dimensional cable equation of fractional order in terms of the Caputo fractional derivative. This cable equation plays a vital role in diverse areas of electrophysiology and modeling neuronal dynamics. This paper conveys a precise semi-analytical method called the q-homotopy analysis transform method to solve the fractional cable equation. The proposed method is based on the conjunction of the q-homotopy analysis method and Laplace transform. We explained the uniqueness of the solution produced by the suggested method with the help of Banach’s fixed-point theory. The results obtained through the considered method are in the form of a series solution, and they converge rapidly. The obtained outcomes were in good agreement with the exact solution and are discussed through the 3D plots and graphs that express the physical representation of the considered equation. It shows that the proposed technique used here is reliable, well-organized and effective in analyzing the considered non-homogeneous fractional differential equations arising in various branches of science and engineering. This paper introduces fractional operators in the complex domain as generalizations for the Srivastava–Owa operators. Some properties for the above operators are also provided. We discuss the convexity and starlikeness of the generalized Libera integral operator. A condition for the convexity and starlikeness of the solutions of fractional differential equations is provided. Finally, a fractional differential equation is converted into an ordinary differential equation by wave transformation; illustrative examples are provided to clarify the solution within the complex domain. In this paper, the functional differential equation (D C a + α x) (t) + ∑ i = 0 m (T i x (i)) (t) = f (t) , t ∈ [ a , b ] , with Caputo fractional derivative D C a + α is studied. The operators Ti act from the space of continuous to the space of essentially bounded functions. They can be operators with deviations (delayed and advanced), integral operators and their various linear combinations and superpositions. Such equations could appear in various applications and in the study of systems of, for example, two fractional differential equations, when one of the components can be presented from the first equation and substituted then to another. For two-point problems with this equation, assertions about negativity of Green's functions and their derivatives with respect to t are obtained. Our technique is based on an analog of the Vallée-Poussin theorem for differential inequalities, which is proven in our paper and gives necessary and sufficient conditions of negativity of Green's functions and their derivatives for two-point problems: there exists a positive function v satisfying corresponding boundary conditions and the inequality (D C a + α ν) (t) + ∑ i = 0 m (T i v (i)) (t) < 0 , t ∈ [ a , b ] . Choosing the function v, we obtain explicit sufficient tests of sign-constancy of Green's functions and its derivatives. It is demonstrated that these tests cannot be improved in a general case. This paper considers the regional boundary observability problem for semilinear time-fractional systems. The main objective is to reconstruct the initial state on a subregion of the boundary of the evolution domain of the considered fractional system using the output equation. We proceed by providing a link between the regional boundary observability of the considered semilinear system on the desired boundary subregion, and the regional observability of its linear part, in a well chosen subregion of the evolution domain. By adding some assumptions on the nonlinear term appearing in the considered system, we give the main theorem that allows us to reconstruct the initial state in the well-chosen subregion using the Hilbert uniqueness method (HUM). From it, we recover the initial state on the boundary subregion. In this paper, the Caputo-based fractional derivative optimal control model is looked at to learn more about how the human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) spreads. Model solution properties such as boundedness and non-negativity are checked and found to be true. The fundamental reproduction number is calculated by using the next-generation matrix's spectral radius. The fractional optimal control model includes the control functions of vaccination and treatment to illustrate the impact of these interventions on the dynamics of virus transmission. In addition, the order of the derivative in the fractional optimal control problem indicates that encouraging vaccination and treatment early on can slow the spread of RSV. Our focus of this paper is on global Mittag-Leffler synchronization (GMLS) of the Caputotype Inertial Cohen-Grossberg Neural Networks (ICGNNs) with discrete and distributed delays. This model takes into account the inertial term as well as the two types of delays, which greatly reduces the conservatism with respect to the model. A change of variables transforms the 2β order inertial frame into β order ordinary frame in order to deal with the effect of the inertial term. In the following steps, two novel types of delay controllers are designed for the purpose of reaching the GMLS. In conjunction with the novel controllers, utilizing differential mean-value theorem and inequality techniques, several criteria are derived to determine the GMLS of ICGNNs within the framework of Caputo-type derivative and calculus properties. In this paper, a fractional density-dependent prey-predator model has been considered. Certain reading of local and global stabilities of an equilibrium point of a system was extracted and conducted by applying fractional systems' stability theorems along with Lyapunov functions. Meanwhile, the persistence of the aforementioned system has been discussed and claimed to imply a local asymptotic stability for the given positive equilibrium point. Moreover, the presented model was extended to a periodic impulsive model for the prey population. Such an expansion was implemented through the periodic catching of the prey species and the periodic releasing of the predator population. By studying the effect of changing some of the system's parameters and drawing their bifurcation diagram, it was observed that different periodic solutions appear in the system. However, the effect of an impulse on the system subjects the system to various dynamic changes and makes it experience behaviors including cycles, period-doubling bifurcation, chaos and coexistence as well.
