Abstract: Gong et al. (Information Sciences 266 (2014) 112–133) proposed a method of solving dual fuzzy matrix equations. The aim of this note is to make the researchers aware that the method proposed by Gong et al. is valid only for certain specific types of dual fuzzy matrix equations. It must be noted however, that proposing a method for finding a solution of these equations, considered by Gong et al., is still an open challenging research problem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
