The article reports on the works on paper by Austrian and German Expressionists donated by Ernst Pulgram, professor emeritus of romance and classical linguistics at the University of Michigan (UM) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the UM Museum of Art. The donation was managed by his widow Frances McSparran. Expressionists include George Grosz and Emil Nolde.
