The author reflects on his appointment as editor of the official paper of the American Ceramics Association (ACer) and two automobile trade conventions held in Detroit, Michigan. He mentioned that the ACers community has warmly welcomed him as editor. He also provided some details about his occupation, training, and educational background. Lastly, the author discussed about the conventions' attendance, the technical papers presented using the events, and their success in general.
