Information about several papers discussed during the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Ophthalmic Devices meeting held in Chicago, Illinois on July 10, 2008 is presented. The event, the panel dismissed a proposal to incorporate two-hour staining testing, due to lack of substantive data and they discussed ways of addressing the issue on the incidence of Acanthamoeba and Fusarium keratitis.
