The article outlines the process used by Thomson Reuters in selecting innovative researchers for including in the list of Thomson Reuters Citation Laureates who are most likely to be in the running for a Nobel Prize. Citation analyst David Pendlebury formulates his predictions starting with the Web of Knowledge. He employs a quantitative, objective approach in citation analysis. For 2011, Pendlebury researched on papers focusing on T-cell immunology.
