The article reports that the Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association (MERA) has encouraged retailers at KnowledgeFest, the annual gathering of the car audio-video (A/V) industry, to change marketing strategies to adapt to changing times. MERA presented an industry paper outlining change and strategies to generate enthusiasm for 12-volt products and to promote specialists. It states that retailers return to demo cars and attend local events to drum up enthusiasm for an industry, which has drifted away from some of these time-honored marketing tools.
