This paper explores the viability of utilizing agricultural biomass-based energy potential, employing mathematical, engineering, and economic modeling techniques. Moreover, the potential of a biogas-based co-digestion (CD) system, integrating its techno-economic performance and environmental sustainability in terms of electricity generation, has also been studied. In this investigation, the categorization of 25 different plant species into two groups: arable field crops (AFCs) and horticultural plants (HPs), was performed. Data was collected during the 2021‐–2022 cropping season in Bangladesh from various sources, including literature reviews, governmental, and non-governmental organizations. The findings revealed that the available agricultural biomass residues, totaling 1,02,585.75 KT, have the capacity to generate 1,33,815 million m3/year of biogas. This energy potential corresponds to 291,125.85 TJ/year or 9231.60 MW of electricity, which can fulfill 88% of the national total energy demand. In terms of levelized cost, the proposed approach is more competitive and shows a greater promise compared to other technologies. Furthermore, it demonstrates environmental friendliness by reducing CO 2 emissions by 156 tons at a cost of $7/ton while earning $1092 annually from the potential carbon-credit market. This approach presents a potential solution to address Bangladesh's energy crisis. The payback period of the system ranged from 2.93 to 3.75 years, with and without the inclusion of a slurry, respectively. The recommended methods hold significant promise for meeting national energy demands. A case study was provided as a proof-of-concept (PoC) to validate the approach. This study is the first of its kind, providing valuable insights into the renewable energy potential in Bangladesh. Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) [1] was introduced by the International Maritime organization (IMO) to stimulate innovation and technical development of all elements that increase the level of energy efficiency of a ship at design stage. Sea going ships over 400 gross tonnage are considered in the current regulation of EEDI. Inland ships are not covered by current EEDI regulations by IMO. As inland vessels share 0.6% of the global CO 2 emission [2] , the reduction attempt will not have bigger impact. But from the commercial point of view of a country the significance is very high, specially for under developed countries like Bangladesh. Inland self propelled ships face additional restrictions (shallow water/channel, low density water, restriction of ship's dimension, etc.) which increase the power requirement at the same speed, burning more fuel and emit more CO 2 . This paper is a continuation of the Ph.D research of the author where previous published paper's [3] results were updated and verified. With around 40% of the population without access to electricity but also a high penetration of solar home systems in its off grid areas, the case of Bangladesh is a very strong reference for the applicability of the Sustainable Energy Access for All (SE4A) goals. Nonetheless, while the solar home system program with 3.6 million systems has gained worldwide recognition, there are considerable limitations in the usage of such systems, in particular in the ability to provide access to higher tier energy services for productive use. Minigrids, on the other hand, could provide this access but have yet to proof both scale and commercial viability. This paper provides critical insides into the case of Bangladesh for a cost-effective route to the SE4All goals by applying practical and resource-efficient minigrid design principles. Planning and operation techniques are elaborated on in detail and concluded with a financial analysis for a hybrid solar-PV-Diesel minigrid that provides enhanced energy access in particular for productive use. In addition, implications on the business model are highlighted for developing minigrids in off grid rural areas of Bangladesh for hybrid minigrids ranging from 100 to 250 kWp while exemplarily showing how the three goals of the United Nation Sustainable Energy for All Initiative can be pursued in a mutually beneficial way. This paper explores some of the ways of designing a green room with respect to energy efficiency. For design purpose, a model office room of typical dimensions was chosen and its electrical energy consumption under prescribed conditions was evaluated over a year by means of computer simulation. Then, the possibilities of providing the stipulated electrical energy demand solely from solar and wind sources were ascertained. The yields of grid connected solar photovoltaic cells that could be commensurately accommodated on the roof of the room were calculated over a year, via simulation. For wind energy analysis, a wind energy calculator software was made, that can provide dynamic energy calculations, take in wind speed data from anywhere within the computer and at the same time log useful yield data in real time. The simulation results indicated that the designed system could account for an impressive 15% energy demand of the room. The wind energy calculator software predicted results to considerable accuracy when compared to known performances of wind turbines present in Bangladesh. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Around 1.4 million solar home systems are already installed by February 2013 in Bangladesh. In this paper, the energy and emission of solar home systems installed in Bangladesh are analyzed based on the field visit at the six different districts in Bangladesh. Study has been conducted for 40∼85 W p systems as these systems are mostly used in the rural user level. Total primary energy requirement including energy requirement for manufacturing and energy required to replace its components in the estimated project life 20 years are calculated. On the other hand, energy supply by a SHS in its entire life time is also evaluated based on monitoring of selected SHSs. Energy payback period for 40, 50, 65, 75 and 85 systems are found to be 6.94, 7.47, 7.80, 7.32 and 6.91 years respectively. It is also revealed from the study that 1.4 million solar home systems in Bangladesh can mitigate 0.8 million ton of CO 2 per year. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
