Drought represents a significant threat not only for the Czech Republic but also for the whole world. This threat is mainly influenced by climate change. Climate change increases air temperature. This article focuses on drought in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic has experienced significant differences in temperatures in recent years. In particular, a change in the temperatures of the seasons can be observed and almost the disappearance of some seasons. Winter has significant fluctuations in shock and temperature changes. On the contrary, after the winter, the summer changes quickly, which is extremely warm. Temperatures can be recorded at higher peaks than usual. Thanks to the low rainfall intensity and too high summer temperatures, there is a loss of groundwater. The Czech Republic is suffering from drought, and some villages have to be outsourced. It is a significant phenomenon that is not unusual. In the past, the Czech Republic has encountered periods of drought since Mesopotamia. The aim of this paper is to introduce drought as a significant threat to the Czech Republic. First, the history of drought in the Czech Republic will be presented. Secondly, the paper will focus on the impact of climate change on current threats not only in the Czech Republic. Finally, the current wave of drought in the Czech Republic will be presented.
