This paper introduces an MOS-based intelligent temperature sensor with a linear readout. Compared with similar designs, the proposed sensor utilizes the DIBL effect to reduce the precision requirement for the voltage reference source and compensate for the temperature measurement range. A compact voltage reference circuit is introduced, which generates two reference voltage bases using only three transistors. In addition, the proposed digital readout circuit does not require a subtractor or a divider, further saving area. Fabricated in a 55 nm CMOS process, the proposed sensor occupies a compact area of 3216 μ m 2 . Post-simulation results show it has a maximum error of −0.52/+0.28 °C within the temperature range of −20 °C to 120 °C after two-point calibration. The power supply voltage range of the sensor is 0.8 to 1.8 V. It has a maximum voltage sensitivity of 5.7 °C/V and its power consumption is only 166 nW, with a power supply voltage of 0.8 V. In this paper, based on the spatial panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2008 to 2019, the relationship between environmental regulation (ER), environmental decentralization (ED) and the green total factor productivity of the construction industry (hereafter GTFPCI) was investigated through the spatial Dobbin model, and the heterogeneity of the relationship between three environmental regulations and the GTFPCI under different environmental decentralization intensities was studied through a threshold panel model. The results showed that the three environmental regulations had different degrees of impact on the GTFPCI, among which market-based environmental regulations (MERs) played the most obvious role. Environmental regulation and environmental decentralization have spillover effects on the GTFPCI in surrounding provinces. On the whole, with the increasing intensity of environmental decentralization, environmental regulation plays a stronger positive role in promoting the GTFPCI. However, through a threshold analysis, it was seen that the regulatory impact of different environmental regulations on the GTFPCI are heterogeneous in different ranges of environmental decentralization intensity. Alfalfa is a perennial herbaceous forage legume that is significantly and adversely affected by monocropping. Crop rotation is the most effective measure to overcome continuous cropping obstacles. However, the mechanisms of how bacterial communities are affected and the potential links between these effects and cropping systems remain poorly understood. Based on a long-term field experiments with continuous alfalfa and forage crops with alfalfa rotation in the black soil region of the western Songnen Plain in Northeast China, the alterations in soil bacterial community structure using high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene and soil chemical properties and enzyme activities were analyzed. The alfalfa–forage oats–silage maize–alfalfa and alfalfa–silage maize–forage oats–alfalfa system significantly increase the levels of total phosphorus and available phosphorus, and promote the activities of acid phosphatase, β-glucosidase, leucine aminopeptidase, and N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase in comparison to continuous alfalfa. While alfalfa crop rotation did not affect the α-diversity of soil bacteria, it significantly altered the bacterial community composition and structure. Some key taxa are significantly enriched in the crop rotation system soils, including Bacillus, Sphingobium, Paenibacillus, Hydrogenispora, Rubrobacter, Haliangium, and Rubellimicrobium. Additionally, crop rotation with alfalfa increased the stability and complexity of the soil bacterial co-occurrence network. Based on our findings, we recommend promoting the alfalfa–forage oats–silage maize–alfalfa and alfalfa–silage maize–forage oats–alfalfa rotation systems as ideal practices for overcoming the challenges associated with continuous cropping of alfalfa. These systems not only enhance soil nutrient content and enzyme activities but also foster a beneficial microbial community, ultimately improving soil functionality and crop performance. A high strength and ductile Mg-Gd-Y-Zn-Zr alloy was designed and fabricated. The local strain evolution of the alloys during plastic deformation was analyzed using high-resolution digital image correlation (DIC). The results showed that the β particles, nano-sized γ' phases, and LPSO phases were distributed in the as-extruded alloy and a bimodal microstructure was exhibited, including elongated un-dynamic recrystallized grains and fine dynamic recrystallized grains. With increasing extrusion ratio, the grain size remained, with the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization of the as-extruded alloy increasing from 30% to 75%, and the as-extruded alloy exhibited a high strength-ductility synergy, which is attributed to the grain refinement, extensive β particles, and elongated block-shaped LPSO phases. The strain evolution analysis showed that a strain-transfer from un-DRXed regions to adjacent DRXed regions and LPSO phases can promote uniform plastic deformation, which tends to improve the ductility of the alloy. The open-circuit voltage (OCV) curve has a significant influence on the accuracy of the state of charge (SOC) estimation based on equivalent circuit models (ECMs). However, OCV curves are tested through offline experiments and are hard to be very accurate because they constantly change with the test method's ambient temperature and aging status. Recently, researchers have attempted to improve the accuracy of OCV curves by increasing the volume of sample data or updating/reconstructing the curve combined with practical operation data. Still, prior offline tests are essential, and experimental errors inevitably exist. Consequently, a SOC estimation method without any offline OCV tests might be an efficient route to improve the accuracy of SOC. According to this idea, this paper presents a novel method for SOC estimation, which is based on online OCV curve construction. Meanwhile, a stepwise multi-timescale parameter identification algorithm is designed to improve the interpretability and precision of the estimated ECM parameters. The results demonstrate that the maximum SOC estimation error is only 0.05% at 25 °C, indicating good robustness under various ambient temperatures and operational conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: C1q/TNF-related protein 6 (CTRP6) is a novel adipokine involved in insulin resistance. Thus, we aim to investigate the expression profile of CTRP6 in the plasma, adipose tissue and placenta of GDM patients and mice. Methods: Chinese Han pregnant women (GDM n = 9, control n = 10) with a scheduled caesarean section delivery were recruited. A number of high-fat diet (HFD) induced-pregnancy C57BL/6 mice were chosen as an animal model of GDM. Circulating levels of CTRP6 and adiponectin were examined by ELISA. CTRP6 expression in adipose tissue and placenta were detected by real-time qPCR and WB. Result: Plasma CTRP6 levels were decreased during the first and second trimesters in mice, as well as the second and third trimesters in patients, while they were increased at delivery in GDM patients and mice. Plasma CTRP6 levels were significantly correlated with WBC, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and fasting blood glucose. Moreover, CTRP6 mRNA expression in the subcutaneous (sWAT) and omental white adipose tissue (oWAT), as well as in the placenta, was significantly higher in GDM human patients at cesarean delivery. Furthermore, the mRNA expression of Ctrp6 was increased in the sWAT and visceral WAT (vWAT), whilst decreased in the interscapular brown adipose tissue (iBAT), of GDM mice at cesarean delivery. Based on the post-earthquake investigation of the Beiling and Hanshen earthquakes, many welded rigid beam–column joints were found to exhibit brittle failure. The failure modes of the joint region and the overall steel frame structure under the action of the earthquake need to be studied. The seismic performance of different types of weakened beam-end interior joints was investigated. The finite element method was verified by high-strength steel beam–column joint tests conducted by our research team. Finite element modeling of weakened steel beam flanges and weakened steel beam web joints was carried out based on the validated finite element modeling method. The joints were studied and analyzed using seismic parameters such as joint stress clouds, equivalent story shear–inter-story displacement ratio curves, panel zone bending moment–shear ratio curves, ductility, stiffness, and energy dissipation. The results of this study showed that honeycomb open hole-type joints exhibit a better deformation and energy dissipation capacity compared to open circular web hole-type joints. However, their load carrying capacity is reduced, which is mainly due to the larger area of the web openings. Additionally, double reduced beam section (DRBS) joints exhibit superior seismic performance and plastic hinge outward movement characteristics compared to single reduced beam section (RBS) joints. It was also found that the deformation and energy dissipation of DRBS joints and steel beam honeycomb hole-type joints are mainly borne by the beams, with the panel zone's participation in energy dissipation accounting for a smaller proportion of the energy. In the construction of underground engineering, the determination of surrounding rock stresses has important theoretical significance for the design of tunnel structure reliability. In this paper, the nonlinear criterion is introduced to modify and improve the friction resistance in the calculation formula of Bierbaumer's loose surrounding rock stresses, and the improved application is carried out in view of the situation of composite formation. Due to the variability and discreteness of geotechnical parameters, combined with engineering examples, Monte Carlo random sampling is carried out for various geotechnical parameters in engineering, and the characteristics of loose surrounding rock stresses are analyzed from the perspective of statistical reliability by using the improved shallow tunnel formula. By using the standard regression coefficient, the weight influence of the parameters in various shallow surrounding rock stress formulas is analyzed, and the confidence degree of the calculated results of various formulas is analyzed from a statistical point of view, which verifies the rationality of the improved formula in the statistical sense. Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) refers to diarrhea caused by gut microbiota disorders after the use of antibiotics, which seriously threatens the health of humans and animals. Therefore, it is necessary to find an effective therapy to treat AAD. This research aimed to explore the effects of Lactobacillus plantarum H-6 (L. plantarum H-6) and Weissella viridescens J-1 (W. viridescens J-1) on alleviating antibiotic-associated diarrhea induced by lincomycin hydrochloride (LH) in mice. The results show that L. plantarum H-6 could significantly reduce the expression of pro-inflammatory factors such as IL-1β and IL-6 in colon tissue. At the same time, L. plantarum H-6 significantly increased the abundance of Lactobacillus and Akkermansia, decreased the abundance of Bacteroides, and increased the contents of L-tryptophan, LysoPC (20:4 (8Z, 11Z, 14Z, 17Z)), reduced riboflavin, threoninyl–methionine, and N-palmitoyl in serum. However, W. viridescens J-1 had little effect on the treatment of AAD. It can be concluded that L. plantarum H-6 can regulate mice's colonic microbial composition, improve their serum metabolic process, and alleviate antibiotic-associated diarrhea. With the continuous expansion of power grids and the gradual increase in operational uncertainty, it is progressively challenging to meet the capacity requirements for power grid development based on manual experience. In order to further improve the efficiency of the operation mode calculation, reduce the consumption of manpower and material resources, and consider the sustainability of energy development, this paper proposes a typical power grid operation mode generation method based on Q-learning and the deep belief network (DBN) for the first time. Firstly, the operation modes of different generator combinations located in different regions are obtained through Q-learning intelligent generation. Subsequently, the generated operation modes are clustered as different operation mode sets according to the data characteristics. Furthermore, comprehensive evaluation indexes are proposed from the perspectives of the steady state, transient state, and the economy. These multi-dimensional indexes are integrated via the analytical hierarchy process–entropy weight method (AHP-EWM) to enhance the comprehensibility of the evaluation system. Finally, DBN is introduced to construct a rapid operation mode evaluation model to realize the evaluation of operation mode sets, and typical operation mode sets are obtained accordingly. In this way, the system calculator only needs to compare the composite values to obtain the typical operation modes. The proposed method is validated by the Northeast Power Grid in China. The experimental results show that the proposed method can quickly generate typical power grid operation modes according to actual demand and greatly improve the efficiency of operation mode calculation. The addition of superelastic shape memory alloy fibers (SMAF) into engineering cementitious composites (ECC) can create a new type of SMAF-ECC composite material with good self-recovery and energy dissipation performance, which is very suitable for seismic structures. In this study, 10 groups of beam specimens with different volume contents of SMAF were fabricated, and the bending performance, deflection recovery and energy dissipation ability of these beams were studied through three-point bending cyclic loading tests. The failure mode, peak load, load–deflection curve, crack width and other indicators of the specimens were analyzed, and the relationship expression between fiber content and bending strength was established by fitting analysis. The results show that adding SMA fibers can significantly improve the peak load of ECC beams, with a maximum increase of 48.31%. The knotted SMA fibers can fully exert their superelasticity, providing the beam specimens with crack self-closing and deflection recovery ability. When the volume content of SMA fibers is 0–0.6%, the bending strength, energy dissipation ability and deflection recovery ability of the composite material beams increase with the increase in fiber content. When the volume content of SMA fibers is 0.6–1.0%, the above indicators decrease with the increase in fiber content. The suggested equations can well reflect the relationship between fiber content and beam bending strength. Although shape memory alloy/Polyvinyl alcohol (SMA/PVA) hybrid fiber reinforced cementitious composites, (SMA/PVA-ECC) exhibit excellent crack closure and deformation recovery capabilities, however, the research on their fundamental mechanical properties is still limited. This study investigates the tensile mechanical properties of SMA/PVA-ECC materials by conducting uniaxial tensile tests, analyzing the failure behavior, stress–strain curves, and characteristic parameters of the specimens, comparing the influence of SMA fiber content and diameter, and establishing a tensile constitutive model. The results show that the residual crack width of SMA/PVA-ECC specimens significantly decreases after unloading, and SMA fiber content and diameter have a significant impact on the tensile properties of the specimens. The comprehensive tensile properties of specimens with a fiber diameter of 0.2 mm and content of 0.2% are the best, with their initial cracking strength, ultimate strength, and strain increasing by 56.4%, 23.6%, and 13.4%, respectively, compared to ECC specimens. In order to investigate the effect of fiber end on the bonding mechanical properties between shape memory alloy (SMA) fibers and Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC), this study designed and fabricated five groups of specimens with variations in SMA fiber end shape, diameter and depth-to-diameter ratio. Direct tensile tests were conducted on these specimens under displacement control. The failure modes, stress–strain curves and various performance indicators were analyzed to evaluate the bonding mechanical properties and the effects of different factors. The results revealed that for straight-end SMA fibers, increasing the diameter and depth-to-diameter ratio both led to a decrease in bonding strength. On the other hand, the N-shaped end provided sufficient anchorage force for SMA fibers, resulting in a maximum pull-out stress of 926.3 MPa and a fiber strength utilization of over 78%. Increasing the fiber diameter enhanced the maximum pull-out stress and maximum anchorage stress for N-shaped-end SMA fibers but reduced the fiber strength utilization. Combining Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) with shape memory alloy (SMA) fibers can form SMA fiber reinforced ECC (SMAF-ECC) that has excellent deformation recovery and energy dissipation capabilities. Substituting some of the tensioned concrete with this new composite material, along with steel bars, is expected to significantly improve the seismic energy dissipation and self-recovery capabilities of traditional reinforced concrete components. However, a reliable bond between steel bars and SMAF-ECC is critical to ensure their synergistic performance. In this paper, the failure mode and bond strength of steel bars and SMAF-ECC were studied through direct tensile tests, and the influence factors such as steel bar diameter, bond length, and SMAF volume fraction were analyzed. A bond-slip constitutive model for steel bars and SMAF-ECC was proposed. The results show that the failure mode of the tensile test specimens is mainly steel bar pull-out failure; the incorporation of SMAF significantly enhances the bond strength between the steel bar and matrix; increasing the steel bar diameter and bond length both lead to a decrease in bond strength while increasing the SMAF volume fraction can significantly increase the bond strength. Among them, the specimen with a steel bar diameter of 12 mm, bond length of 70 mm, and SMAF volume fraction of 0.5% has the largest increase in bond strength, reaching 52.96%. The proposed improved bond-slip constitutive model is in good agreement with the bond-slip curve obtained in the experiments, with a determination coefficient of 0.99. In order to achieve efficient utilization of solar energy resources, this study combines the trans-critical organic Rankine cycle (ORC) power cycle (TORC) with the trans-critical CO2 refrigeration cycle (TCO2). Additionally, a comprehensive three-level index decision evaluation system is developed based on system safety and environmental protection, thermodynamics, and techno-economic performance. The evaluation focuses on typical medium- and high-temperature solar energy applications and considers six organic working gases. The evaluation results demonstrate that the R600 + CO2 solution outperformed the others. This solution achieved a maximum net output power (Pnet) of 1531.31 kW and 2306.43 kW, a maximum coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.16, a predicted payback period of 2.651 years and 2.033 years, and a benefit–investment ratio of 4.533 and 5.773. Jatropha curcas L. is a promising bioenergy source, and its seedling stage is sensitive to salinity. Nitrogen application presents an effective strategy for alleviating the adverse consequences of salinity stress. However, the responses of plant growth and physiology of Jatropha curcas L. seedlings to nitrogen application under salinity stress remain unclear. As a result, a one-year greenhouse plot experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of nitrogen application on the plant growth, antioxidant enzyme activity, and photosynthesis of Jatropha curcas L. seedlings under saline conditions. Experiment treatments consisted of three salinity stresses (mild salinity stress, S1: 2 g/kg; moderate salinity stress, S2: 4 g/kg; and severe salinity stress, S3: 6 g/kg), four nitrogen application rates (N0: 0 gN/plant; N1: 20 gN/plant; N2: 60 gN/plant; and N3: 100 gN/plant), and a control treatment (CK) which was without salinity stress and nitrogen application. The results showed that salinity stress substantially reduced plant growth of Jatropha curcas L. seedlings. As the salinity stress increased, the reduction in plant growth also increased. The S3 treatment had the lowest leaf area, leaf biomass, and total biomass, which decreased by an average of 70.4%, 66.3%, and 69.9%, respectively, compared to CK. Nitrogen application could compensate for these impairments of plant growth from salinity stress by promoting antioxidant enzyme activity and photosynthesis. As for mild and moderate salinity stresses, the maximum plant growth was found in the N3 treatment, with the maximum antioxidant enzyme activity, photosynthetic pigment, photosynthetic characteristic, and chlorophyll fluorescence. As for severe salinity stress, higher plant growth was found in N2 and N3 treatments, and there were no significant differences between N2 and N3 treatments. It also should be noted that the maximum photosynthetic characteristic and chlorophyll fluorescence were found in N2 treatment under severe salinity stress. In conclusion, nitrogen application could be an alternative strategy to improve the salinity tolerance of Jatropha curcas L. growth. The nitrogen application rate of 100 gN/plant could be recommended for low and moderate salinity stresses, while 60 gN/plant could be recommended for severe salinity stress. However, higher nitrogen application rate (>100 gN/plant) under mild and moderate salinity stress and the effects of reactive oxygen species under salinity stress should be further evaluated. Link prediction involves the use of entities and relations that already exist in a knowledge graph to reason about missing entities or relations. Different approaches have been proposed to date for performing this task. This paper proposes a combined use of the translation-based approach with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based approach, resulting in a novel model, called ConCMH. In the proposed model, first, entities and relations are embedded into the complex space, followed by a vector multiplication of entity embeddings and relational embeddings and taking the real part of the results to generate a feature matrix of their interaction. Next, a 2D convolution is used to extract features from this matrix and generate feature maps. Finally, the feature vectors are transformed into predicted entity embeddings by obtaining the inner product of the feature mapping and the entity embedding matrix. The proposed ConCMH model is compared against state-of-the-art models on the four most commonly used benchmark datasets and the obtained experimental results confirm its superiority in the majority of cases. The vigorous development of green finance has become a national strategy in China. Green finance is gradually becoming a key driver of high-quality economic development and a key area of concern for China's economy and ecological environment. Based on the panel data of 30 Chinese provinces from 2001 to 2019, we analyzed the impact and mechanism of vertical fiscal imbalance (VFI) and green finance (GF) on high-quality economic development (HQD) and then used the fixed-effect model and spatial Durbin model for empirical testing. We found that GF can significantly contribute to HQD, but VFI has a negative moderating effect in contrast to the positive effect of GF on HQD. This negative moderating effect is strongest in the central region. According to the analysis of the spatial econometric model based on geography, economy, and the nested spatial weight matrix, we found that the local GF has a negative spatial transmission effect on the HQD of other regions. Therefore, it is recommended that the coordinated development of green finance among regions be promoted, while affairs and expenditure responsibilities be reasonably distributed between the central and local governments to drive HQD effectively. Carbon emission reduction is the top priority in improving green production efficiency and achieving sustainable development, while digitalization (Digi) is an important engine that drives efficient carbon emission reduction. However, in China, the government and the market jointly influence economic and social development, and the effectiveness of Digi in promoting carbon emission reduction is also influenced by the external fiscal system. In this study, we first establish a theoretical framework for digitalization that can reduce carbon emission intensity (CEI) and reveal the important role of fiscal decentralization (FD) on the impact of Digi on CEI and is based on the typical features of the Chinese FD system. Second, we investigate the relationship between Digi and CEI and the moderating effect of FD based on panel data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2011 to 2019, and we utilize a fixed-effects panel model that introduces moderating variables and a panel threshold model. By testing the econometric model, we observe that increasing the level of Digi significantly reduces CEI. FD reinforces this reduction effect, and Digi has a significant dampening effect on CEI only when the level of FD is higher than 0.84. Additionally, the inhibitory effect of Digi and positive moderating effect of FD are higher in the central and western regions of China. Finally, we suggest countermeasures to promote low-carbon development for accelerating digital transformation, thereby deepening the reform of "delegating power, improving regulation, and optimizing service" systems. Green development is the key to safeguarding and improving people's livelihoods and promoting sustainable development. Based on the provincial data of China for 2004–2019, we developed a general panel model and spatial Durbin model to test the effects of vertical fiscal imbalance (VFI) on green total factor productivity (GTFP). The results show that VFI has a significant inhibitory effect on GTFP; decomposing GTFP into the green technical efficiency change (GEC) and green technological change (GTC) indices reveals that the inhibitory effect of VFI on the GEC and GTC indices is significant and non-significant, respectively; the dampening effect of VFI on GTFP is more significant in regions with high economic growth target, low marketization, or high levels of VFI, and in Midwest, resource-based, or non-municipalities regions. The results of the spatial spillover effect analysis show that VFI has a suppressive effect on GTFP in regions with similar levels of economic development. This study enriches the existing literature by exploring the institutional causes affecting GTFP levels and provides theoretical and practical implications for comprehensively promoting a new round of fiscal system reforms in China and building a modern fiscal system with clear authority and responsibility, thereby promoting sustainable development. Exploring the delay causality between airports and comparing the delay propagation patterns across different airport networks is critical to better understand delay propagation mechanisms and provide effective delay mitigation strategies. A novel attention-based recurrent graph convolutional neural network is proposed to identify the hidden delay causality relationship among airports in three different airport networks of China. The selected three airport networks show great heterogeneities in topological characteristics, such as average intensity, modularity and eigenvector centrality. The modeling results indicate that the identified delay causality networks of three airport networks are greatly varied in terms of complexity, delay propagation distance and efficiency. Moreover, the delay state of each airport is categorized into three levels, and the delay state transition of the three networks is explored. The results indicate that delay state transition in the North China Control Area exhibits an obvious bidirectional transition form that mainly propagates between the large-degree airports and small-degree airports, while severe delays of some hub airports account for a relatively large proportion in the other two networks. The results of this study could better reveal the delay propagation mechanism among airports and help airport operators develop effective strategies to alleviate flight delays and improve airport operation efficiency. SMAF-ECC material composed of shape memory alloy fiber (SMAF) and engineered cementitious composite (ECC) has good bending and tensile properties, as well as good crack self-healing ability, energy consumption, and self-centering ability. The bond behavior between fiber and matrix is crucial to the effective utilization of the superelasticity of SMAF. The experimental study considered three variables: SMA fiber diameter, fiber end shape, and bond length. The pullout stress–strain curve of SMAF was obtained, and the maximum pullout stress, maximum bond stress, and fiber utilization rate were analyzed. Compared with the straight end and the hook end, the maximum pullout stress of the specimen using the knotted end SMAF is above 900 MPa, the fiber undergoes martensitic transformation, and the fiber utilization rate is above 80%, indicating that the setting of the knotted end can give full play to the superelasticity of the SMAF. Within the effective bond length range, increasing the bond length can increase the maximum anchorage force of the knotted end SMAF. Increasing the fiber diameter can increase the maximum pullout stress and maximum anchoring force of the knotted end SMAF but reduce the utilization rate of SMA fiber. Scholars at home and abroad have studied the concentrations of Se in coal and the relationship between Se and sulfur assignment. However, little attention has been paid to the study of Se in floating coal, especially the distribution pattern of Se in floating coal of densimetric fractions and the influencing factors. A total of 138 coal samples were collected from 14 provinces and cities in China to test the Se and sulfur concentrations in coal, and we carried out the comparison of Se with forms of sulfur with 81 of them. A total of 10 coal samples were selected for float-and-sink analyses to investigate the distribution pattern of Se in floating coal. The results showed that the average Se concentration of Chinese coal was 2.26 μg/g, which is identical with the results of previous research studies, which found an average Se concentration of 2~3 μg/g. Selenium was not uniformly distributed in floating coals of densimetric fractions but it had some regularity. The main controlling factor was the sulfur content in the coal. The Se concentrations of the high-sulfur coal showed a "linear growth" distribution with an increasing density, the Se concentrations of the floating coal in each densimetric fraction increased slowly and the Se concentrations of the floating coal of a densimetric fraction > 2.00 g/cm3 increased sharply. The other controlling factor was the ash yield of the coal. The Se concentrations of the low–medium-sulfur floating coal showed a "parabolic-like" distribution, i.e., low Se concentrations at both ends and high Se concentrations at the middle densimetric fraction. With the increase in the ash content of the coal from 18.23% to 51.92%, the densimetric fraction with the highest Se concentration gradually progressed from 1.40 g/cm3 to 1.50 g/cm3, 1.60 g/cm3 and 1.80 g/cm3 in order. The correlation between the selenium of the raw coal from different regions and the total sulfur, pyrite sulfur and organic sulfur was not significant. However, there existed a significant correlation between Se, total sulfur, pyrite sulfur and organic sulfur in floating coals from the same mining area and depositional environment, among which pyrite sulfur was the most correlated with Se, followed by total sulfur and organic sulfur. The valuation of time is one of the most important public policy issues in project cost-benefit analysis. This paper estimates the value of airport access time and time variability in developing countries with a case study of Nanjing, China. An international meta-analysis is being used to identify the factors that may affect heterogeneity in the value of travel time. Regression models are then established for the prediction of the value of travel time. The results provide some new insights into the impacts of survey region, traffic mode, and trip purpose on the value of travel time. Considering the significant influencing factors that were obtained, stated preference surveys are designed and used to collect data on preferred arrival time and decision choice under various hypothetical situations. A multivariate regression model is used with the data to explore the significant factors that influence the travelers' preferred arrival time. Mixed logit models are developed to estimate the value of airport access time, value of schedule delay early, and value of schedule delay late by incorporating the effects of travel delay variability on users' scheduling costs. The tax system is being used to illustrate the contribution of different income groups to social funds, which also calculates the social value of airport access time, social value of schedule delay early, and social value of schedule delay late. The results identify the significant factors that may affect the valuation of airport access time and provide reasonable estimates for these values. In recent years, phase change materials (PCMs) have been widely used in waste heat utilization, buildings, and solar and wind energy, but with a huge limitation from the low thermal conductivity, photothermal conversion efficiency, and low latent heat. Organic PCMs are eyecatching because of its high latent heat storage capability and reliability, but they still suffer from a lack of photothermal conversion and sharp stability. Here, we prepared sharp-stable PCMs by establishing a carbon material frame system consisting of graphene oxide (GO) and biochar. In particular, surfactants (CTAB, KH-560 and KH-570) were employed to improve the dispersity of GO in PEG. The differential scanning calorimetry results shows that the latent heat of PEG modified by CTAB grafted GO (PGO-CTAB) was the highest (191.36 J/g) and increased by 18.31% compared to that of pure PEG (161.74 J/g). After encapsulation of PGO-CTAB in biochar, the obtained composite PCM with the amount of biochar and PGO-CTAB in weight ratio 4:6 (PGO-CTAB/CS6(6)) possesses relatively high latent heat 106.51 J/g with good leak resistance and thermal stability, and with obviously enhanced thermal conductivity (0.337 W/(m·K)) and photothermal conversion efficiency (77.43%), which were higher than that of PEG6000 (0.325 W/(m·K), 44.63%). The slurry–earth pressure balance dual-mode shield has an earth pressure balance (EPB) and slurry shield functions. Based on a shield tunnel project of Guangzhou Metro Line 12 in China, this study investigates the clogging prevention of a slurry–earth pressure balance dual-mode shield in a composed stratum with medium–coarse sand and argillaceous siltstone. The results show that the slurry mode was not applicable to the composed stratum with medium–coarse sand and argillaceous siltstone. The excavated soil accumulated easily in the slurry chamber, causing shield clogging. The total thrust force of the shield increased significantly, the tunneling speed gradually decreased to 0, and the torque of the cutterhead increased slightly after the slurry shield was clogged. The fluctuation in the total thrust force, the cutterhead torque, and the tunneling speed also increased significantly. The EPB mode is recommended for composed strata with medium–coarse sand and argillaceous siltstone. The dispersible foam agent and water needed to be used for soil conditioning. The injection amount of foam and water was determined according to the status of the mud discharged by the screw conveyor. Water absorption can be used to characterize the water absorption capacity of particles larger than 0.15 mm. The ideal soil state was that the consistency index of the particles smaller than 0.15 mm was less than 0.5 to prevent the EPB shield from clogging. With the emerging development of hyperspectral single-pixel imaging (SPI) systems, the trade-off between the simplicity of optical structure and the correction of chromatic aberration is now an essential factor to be considered. To address both issues simultaneously, we propose a chromatic-aberration-corrected hyperspectral single-pixel imaging scheme, which is based on spectral measurement and dispersion correction. Its achromatism feature is evaluated by optical simulations and proof-of-concept experiments. Moreover, to overcome the shortcomings of traditional algorithms, a new adaptive iterative algorithm is employed, which can further optimize image quality. The results demonstrate that both dispersion and noise in our system are significantly reduced. Taking the position coordinate variance as a figure of merit, we have realized an order of magnitude improvement in the lateral chromatic aberration over the spectral range of 400–780 nm compared to that in conventional hyperspectral SPI. Meanwhile, the contrast-to-noise ratio in our system is enhanced on average by 3 dB. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first such demonstration, and the technique presents possibilities for future integrated applications of high spatial/spectral resolution over the entire visible range, and the system has the potential to be scaled down for future integrated applications. The aileron is one of the most important tools for adjusting the roll attitude of the aircraft, but the surface flow state of the aileron is likely to be affected by high-lift devices. In this paper, by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel tests, the Krueger flap effects on the surface flow state of ailerons in a typical blended wing body civil aircraft were investigated. In order to increase the lift, deflecting the Krueger flap makes the flow separation occur on the aileron surface of BWB civil aircraft. This way of the surface stall that the flow separation in the aileron zone first appears at the wing tip rather than at the wing root is unreasonable for civil aircraft. For the above problem, a sensitivity analysis of the design parameters of the Krueger flaps was carried out. The results indicate that the angle of the outboard Krueger flap mainly affects the flow separation of the ailerons. Its length affects the pitch moment tremendously, while its width slot affects the pitch moment slightly. Finally, the design principles of the BWB Krueger flap for the improvement aileron surface flow state were proposed, and the redesign of the BWB high lift configuration significantly improved the flow state of the aileron zone at a minimal cost of aerodynamic characteristics without losing the existing great aerodynamic performance. Recent years have seen an increase in events of drone incursion into airport terminal areas, leading to safety concerns and disruptions to airline operations. It is of great importance to identify the potential conflict, especially for those non-cooperative drones, as their intentions are always unknown. For the safe operation of air traffic, this paper proposes a conflict risk assessment method between non-cooperative drones and manned aircraft in the terminal area. First, the trajectory data of manned aircraft and drones are obtained. Real-time cylindrical protection zones are established around manned aircraft according to the separation interval for safe operation between the drone and the manned aircraft at different altitudes. Secondly, trajectory predictions for the manned aircraft and the drone are conducted, respectively. A quartile regression bidirectional gate recurrent unit neural network is proposed in this research for the trajectory prediction of the drones. The model integrates the bidirectional gated recurrent unit structure and the quartile regression structure. The performance indicators confirm the superiority of the proposed model. Based on the trajectory prediction results, it is then determined whether there is a conflict risk between the drone and manned aircraft by comparing the position distribution of the drone as well as the real-time cylindrical protection zone of the manned aircraft. The conflict probability between the drone and the manned aircraft is then calculated. The prediction accuracy of conflict probability is estimated by Monte Carlo simulation methods. The collision probability prediction accuracy of manned aircraft and drones at different flight stages and altitudes ranges from 73% to 97%, which shows the reliability of the proposed method. Finally, the collision probability between the drone and the manned aircraft at the closest encountering point and the estimated time to reach the closest encountering point are calculated. This paper predicts the conflict risk between the drone and manned aircraft, thus providing theoretical support for the safe operation of air transport in low-altitude environments. The protection of urban lakes is important for the construction and development of the city and the eco-environment. Affected by urban expansion, most urban lake scenic areas have suffered from a reduction in area and ecological degradation. Protecting and restoring urban lake scenic areas has been a hot topic among the public. Given this background information, we analyzed the ecological problems and contradictions from the perspective of landscape ecology. This study evaluated the landscape pattern and ecological sensitivity in the Chaohu Lake Basin, China. The proposed method was based on the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and geographical information system (GIS). The results showed that the ecological sensitivity map was divided into four sensitivity levels consisting of level 1, level 3, level 5, and level 7, which represent 65%, 27%, 5%, and 2% of the study area. It was found that highly sensitive areas existed primarily in the highlands, where the natural conditions were poorer than in other areas and human activities have been developing rapidly. Additionally, the medium sensitive levels occurred in the low lands, probably in response to agricultural practices. Based on our results, three ecological zones were proposed, which require different protection and utilization solutions in order to restore the local ecological environment in terms of sustainable development. Flow separation is easily induced at the junctions of aircraft components, and for aircraft with T-type tails, in particular, it can lead to loss of directional stability under a small sideslip angle. In the reported study, improved delayed detached eddy simulation with a shear-layer-adapted length scale based on the k–ω shear-stress transport method was used to analyze and rectify the corner separation at the junctions of the horizontal and vertical parts of the tail of a demonstration aircraft. This was done to (i) suppress the flow separation caused by the complex interaction of the boundary layers on the horizontal and vertical tail parts at their junctions, and (ii) prevent the vertical tail parts from having any separated flow on their pressure and suction sides. The results showed that the main cause of the loss of directional stability was separation flow on the suction sides of the vertical tail parts. The corner flow separation was suppressed significantly by only using fairing cones at the junctions of the horizontal and vertical tail parts, thereby allowing the aircraft to maintain directional stability under a small sideslip angle. Quantitative calculation and evaluation of seismic damage are very important for structural safety, performance-based structural analysis, and seismic reinforcement. However, the relevant research results for precast concrete structures are extremely limited. In this paper, the seismic damage evaluation of beam-column joints in monolithic precast concrete frames was studied through cyclic loading tests and damage index calculation. The seismic damage process, load-displacement relationship, stiffness degradation, and the influence of axial compression ratio were analyzed, then the damage indexes were calculated and analyzed, and the quantitative evaluation of joint damage was conducted last. The results show that the connection seams can significantly affect the mechanical properties of precast joints, easily causing damage concentration, resulting in a lower bearing capacity and faster stiffness degradation compared with a cast-in-situ joint. A larger axial compression ratio can bring higher bearing capacity for the precast joints, and the peak load can be increased by 42.9% when the axial compression ratio is increased from 0.2 to 0.4. In contrast, the stiffness degradation will be accelerated with the increase in the axial compression ratio. From yield load to peak load, the stiffness of the precast joint with the largest axial compression ratio decreases by 46.0%, while the joint with the smallest axial compression ratio is only 36.4%. The damage index model adopted in this paper can accurately reflect the damage characteristics of the precast joints. The presented damage states based on the damage index calculation can accurately reflect the joint's damage characteristics according to different stages. In this paper, the influence of thermal gas injection and room temperature gas injection on gas reservoir recovery is analyzed, and the method of water plugging by hot gas injection in tight gas reservoir is put forward. Indoor simulation experiments were carried out to evaluate the effect of hot-gas injection in cut pore water and the degree of water blockage. On this basis, the numerical simulation of removing water blockage by hot-gas injection was carried out. The changes in core temperature and remaining water saturation were discussed by using simulation models. The ankle joint is one of the important joints of the human body to maintain the ability to walk. Diseases such as stroke and ankle osteoarthritis could weaken the body's ability to control joints, causing people's gait to be out of balance. Ankle–foot orthoses can assist users with neuro/muscular or ankle injuries to restore their natural gait. Currently, passive ankle–foot orthoses are mostly designed to fix the ankle joint and provide support for walking. With the development of materials, sensing, and control science, semi-active orthoses that release mechanical energy to assist walking when needed and can store the energy generated by body movement in elastic units, as well as active ankle–foot orthoses that use external energy to transmit enhanced torque to the ankle, have received increasing attention. This article reviews the development process of ankle–foot orthoses and proposes that the integration of new ankle–foot orthoses with rehabilitation technologies such as monitoring or myoelectric stimulation will play an important role in reducing the walking energy consumption of patients in the study of human-in-the-loop models and promoting neuro/muscular rehabilitation. Frost heave is an important factor affecting the safety and practicability of buildings in cold regions or artificial freezing engineering. In order to reduce frost heave, frost-susceptible silty clay was used in a one-dimensional frost heave testing system in three different freezing modes. The results show that, compared with the continuous freezing mode, frost heave in the intermittent freezing mode and the continuous-intermittent freezing mode is reduced by 14.4% and 43.6%, respectively. These results clearly demonstrate that frost heave can be restrained in the continuous-intermittent freezing mode more effectively than in the other two freezing modes. The periodic step growth on the frost heave curves in the continuous-intermittent freezing mode is the main reason for this, as explained by the frost heave theory in this paper. To acquire appropriate settings on the cold end temperature, frost heave tests were carried out at different amplitudes and periods of temperature change in the continuous-intermittent freezing mode. The frost heave decreases with the increase of the amplitude of temperature change and period of temperature change. The power function growth, periodic step growth and periodic polyline growth are shown on the frost heave curves at different periods of temperature change of 2, 4, and 8 h, respectively. Due to the good inhibition effect of frost heave, periodic step growth will be a better way to reduce frost heave, which is of great significance to the life cycle safety of buildings. Aeroelastic deformation of the high-aspect-ratio wing from a solar-powered UAV will definitely lead to the difference of its performance between design and actual flight. In the present study, the numerical fluid–structural coupling analysis of a wing with skin flexibility is performed by a loosely coupled partitioned approach. The bidirectional coupling framework is established by combining an in-house developed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code with a computational structural dynamics (CSD) analysis solver and a time-adaptive coupling strategy is integrated in it to improve the computational stability and efficiency of the process. With the proposed method, the fluid–structure interactions between the wing and fluid are simulated, and the results are compared between the deformed wing and its rigid counterpart regarding the aerodynamic coefficients, transition location, and flow structures at large angles of attack. It can be observed that after deformation, the laminar transition on the upper surface is triggered earlier at small angles of attack and the stall characteristic becomes worse. The calculated difference in aerodynamic performance between the deformed and the designed rigid wing can help designers better understand the wing's real performance in the preliminary stage of design. Paraneoplastic amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare and special type of ALS. The pathogenesis, clinical presentation, treatment and prognosis remain poorly understood. We herein presented three cases of paraneoplastic ALS. In case 1, we first reported an ALS patient with the positive serum antibodies against both Sry-like high mobility group box 1 (SOX1) and glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65). However, immunotherapy did not improve his neurological symptoms. We also reported two ALS patients with renal clear cell carcinoma and chronic myelogenous leukemia. No positive paraneoplastic antibodies were detected in either the serum or the cerebrospinal fluid of the two patients, and their clinical symptoms progressed slowly after tumor treatment. The three cases enriched the existing case pool of this rare disorder. In addition, we have comprehensively reviewed the literature of paraneoplastic ALS. The incorporation of superelastic shape memory alloy (SMA) fibers into engineered cementitious composite (ECC) materials can provide high seismic energy dissipation and deformation self-centering capabilities for ECC materials. Whether the SMA fibers can be sufficiently bonded or anchored in the ECC matrix and whether the mechanical properties of the SMA fibers in the ECC matrix can be effectively utilized are the key scientific issues that urgently need to be studied. In order to study the mechanical behavior of SMA fiber embedded in ECC matrix, four groups of semi-dog-bone pullout specimens were fabricated, and the cyclic pullout tests were conducted in this paper. The pullout stress, displacement, and self-centering capability were analyzed, and different influencing factors were discussed. The results show that the knotted ends can provide sufficient anchorage force for SMA fibers, and the maximum pullout stress of SMA fiber can reach 1100 MPa, thus the superelasticity can be effectively stimulated. The SMA fibers show excellent self-centering capability in the test. The minimum residual deformation in the test is only 0.29 mm, and the maximum self-centering ratio can reach 0.93. Increasing bond length can increase the ultimate strain of SMA fibers with knotted ends, but reduce the maximum pullout stress. Increasing fiber diameter can increase both the ultimate strain and the maximum stress of knotted end SMA fibers. While neither bond length nor fiber diameter has significant effect on the self-centering ratio. This study presents the construction and dielectric properties investigation of atomic-layer-deposition Al2O3/TiO2/HfO2 dielectric-film-based metal–insulator–metal (MIM) capacitors. The influence of the dielectric layer material and thickness on the performance of MIM capacitors are also systematically investigated. The morphology and surface roughness of dielectric films for different materials and thicknesses are analyzed via atomic force microscopy (AFM). Among them, the 25 nm Al2O3-based dielectric capacitor exhibits superior comprehensive electrical performance, including a high capacitance density of 7.89 fF·µm−2, desirable breakdown voltage and leakage current of about 12 V and 1.4 × 10−10 A·cm−2, and quadratic voltage coefficient of 303.6 ppm·V−2. Simultaneously, the fabricated capacitor indicates desirable stability in terms of frequency and bias voltage (at 1 MHz), with the corresponding slight capacitance density variation of about 0.52 fF·µm−2 and 0.25 fF·µm−2. Furthermore, the mechanism of the variation in capacitance density and leakage current might be attributed to the Poole–Frenkel emission and charge-trapping effect of the high-k materials. Exposure to environmental pollutants, including dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), play an important role in vascular inflammation and cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) by inducing oxidative stress. Earlier, we demonstrated that oxidative stress-mediated lipid peroxidation derived 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (4HNE) contributes to CMDs by decreasing the angiogenesis of coronary endothelial cells (CECs). By detoxifying 4HNE, aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2), a mitochondrial enzyme, enhances CEC angiogenesis. Therefore, we hypothesize that ALDH2 activation attenuates a PCB 126-mediated 4HNE-induced decrease in CEC angiogenesis. To test our hypothesis, we treated cultured mouse CECs with 4.4 µM PCB 126 and performed spheroid and aortic ring sprouting assays, the ALDH2 activity assay, and Western blotting for the 4HNE adduct levels and real-time qPCR to determine the expression levels of Cyp1b1 and oxidative stress-related genes. PCB 126 increased the gene expression and 4HNE adduct levels, whereas it decreased the ALDH2 activity and angiogenesis significantly in MCECs. However, pretreatment with 2.5 µM disulfiram (DSF), an ALDH2 inhibitor, or 10 µM Alda 1, an ALDH2 activator, before the PCB 126 challenge exacerbated and rescued the PCB 126-mediated decrease in coronary angiogenesis by modulating the 4HNE adduct levels respectively. The preparation of YBCO superconducting films by using metal organic chemical deposition (MOD) involves low-temperature pyrolysis and high-temperature treatment. The former process generally requires the introduction of water vapor and other gases. The study on pyrolysis in a low vacuum environment and non-carrier gas atmosphere has never been reported. In this work, we explored a low vacuum pyrolysis scheme with simple Argon gas decompression and a carrier-free atmosphere. The effects of heating rate on the microstructure of pyrolysis films were investigated, and the high-temperature treatment temperature (Th) was also optimized. Compared with conventional pyrolysis, the present low-vacuum pyrolysis does not employ the flowing dry or wet gases, facilitating the internal gas release during film decomposition. More importantly, the efficiency was greatly improved with reduced pyrolysis time. The obtained film surface is free of CuO particle, which leads to a lower roughness. We also investigated the effect of Th on the final YBCO film texture and superconductivity. As Th increased from 810 °C to 815 °C, the BaCuO2 phase decreased with enhanced c-axis orientation being evident by XRD and Raman spectra. Hot deformation behaviors of an antibacterial 50Cr15MoVCu tool steel were studied. The flow stress curves presented three typical characteristics: (i) a single peak dynamic recrystallization curve, (ii) a monotone incremental work-hardening curve, and (iii) the equilibrium dynamic recovery curve. The flow stress increased with the increase of the deformation rate at each deformation temperature and decreased with the increase of the deformation temperature at the same deformation rate. The thermal activation energy and material constants were Q of 461.6574 kJ/mol, A of 3.42 × 1017, and α of 0.00681 MPa−1, respectively. The high temperature constitutive equation was: Z = ε ˙ exp Q / RT = 3 . 42   ×   10 17 sinh 0. 0068   ×   σ 5. 6807 . The combination of superelastic shape memory alloy fibers and ECC materials can form a new SMA fiber reinforced ECC composite material (SMAF-ECC) with good self-centering performance. In order to study the self-centering performance of the new composite material, 6 groups of pre-notch beam specimens were made for three-point bending cyclic loading tests, and the failure phenomenon, hysteresis curve, self-centering effect and influencing factors of the specimens were analyzed. The research results show that when the SMA fibers are effectively anchored in the ECC matrix, the SMA fibers can exert the superelastic properties to provide the ECC beams with recoverying force, and realize the crack self-closure and deflection self-recovery function for the beams, with the minimum residual crack width and deflection is only 0.9 mm and 1.3 mm respectively. Increasing fiber content can cause a small increase in the self-centering ability of the beams. However, only when the fiber diameter is appropriate, better self-centering effect can be achieved, but the difference caused by fiber diameter in the test was only 5%. SMA Fiber end forms have significant influence on self-centering performance. The knotted end beam can get a more than 70% self-centering ratio, while the straight end beams and bended end beams have no self-centering ability. Accumulation of electronic waste (e-waste) will place a heavy burden on the environment without proper treatment; however, most ingredients contained in it are useful, and it could bring great economic benefits when recycled. A three-phase alternating current (AC) arc plasma pyrolysis device was designed for resourcing treatment of waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs). This paper focuses on the analysis of plasma pyrolysis gas products, and the results showed that the plasma could operate stably, and overcame the problems of the poor continuity and low energy of single-arc discharge. Air-plasma would generate NOx contaminants, burn the organics, and oxidize the metals; therefore, air had not been selected as a working gas. Ar-plasma can break the long chains of organic macromolecules to make a combustible gas. Moreover, the strong adhesion between the metals and fiberglass boards would be destroyed, which facilitates subsequent separation. Ar/H2-plasma promoted the decrease of carbon dioxide and the increase of combustible small molecular hydrocarbons in the pyrolysis product compared with Ar-plasma, and the increase of the H2 flow rate or plasma power intensified that promotion effect. The percentage of other components, except the hydrogen of CO2, CO, CH4, C2H4, and C3H6, accounted for 55.7%, 34.2%, 5.6%, 4.5%, and 0% in Ar-plasma, and changed to 35.0%, 29.0%, 11.2%, 24.3%, and 0.5% in Ar/H2-plasma. Ar/H2-plasma could provide a highly chemically active species and break chemical bonds in organic macromolecules to produce small molecules of combustible gas. Flowering, the beginning of the reproductive growth, is a significant stage in the growth and development of plants. Conifers are economically and ecologically important, characterized by straight trunks and a good wood quality and, thus, conifer plantations are widely distributed around the world. In addition, conifer species have a good tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress, and a stronger survival ability. Seeds of some conifer species, such as Pinus koraiensis, are rich in vitamins, amino acids, mineral elements and other nutrients, which are used for food and medicine. Although conifers are the largest (giant sequoia) and oldest living plants (bristlecone pine), their growth cycle is relatively long, and the seed yield is unstable. In the present work, we reviewed selected literature and provide a comprehensive overview on the most influential factors and on the methods and techniques that can be adopted in order to improve flowering and seed production in conifers species. The review revealed that flowering and seed yields in conifers are affected by a variety of factors, such as pollen, temperature, light, water availability, nutrients, etc., and a number of management techniques, including topping off, pruning, fertilization, hormone treatment, supplementary pollination, etc. has been developed for improving cone yields. Furthermore, several flowering-related genes (FT, Flowering locus T and MADS-box, MCMI, AGAMOUS, DEFICIENCES and SRF) that play a crucial role in flowering in coniferous trees were identified. Simple Summary: For birds, the uropygial gland is a special organ. We believe that its secretion can be used as a pheromone between the sexes to play a role in mate selection and mating. Therefore, we studied the chemical composition of duck uropygial gland secretions and the differences between males and females. After a series of screenings, 24 different volatile metabolites were obtained in our experiment. On this basis, five extremely significant volatile metabolites were screened out—significantly more males than females. The results show that these volatile substances are potential sex pheromone substances, which may be the critical olfactory clues for birds to choose mates. Our results lay the foundation for further research on whether uropygial gland secretion affects duck reproduction and production. The exchange of information between animals is crucial for maintaining social relations, individual survival, and reproduction, etc. The uropygial gland is a particular secretion gland found in birds. We speculated that uropygial gland secretions might act as a chemical signal responsible for sexual communication. We employed non-targeted metabolomic technology through liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to identifying duck uropygial gland secretions. We observed 11,311 and 14,321 chemical substances in the uropygial gland secretion for positive and negative ion modes, respectively. Based on their relative contents, principal component analysis (PCA) showed that gender significantly affects the metabolite composition of the duck uropygial gland. A total of 3831 and 4510 differential metabolites were further identified between the two sexes at the positive and negative ion modes, respectively. Of them, 139 differential metabolites were finally annotated. Among the 80 differential metabolites that reached an extremely significant difference (p < 0.01), we identified 24 volatile substances. Moreover, we further demonstrated that five kinds of volatile substances are highly repeatable in all testing ducks, including picolinic acid, 3-Hydroxypicolinic acid, indoleacetaldehyde, 3-hydroxymethylglutaric acid, and 3-methyl-2-oxovaleric acid. All these substances are significantly higher in males than in females, and their functions are involved in the reproduction processes of birds. Our data implied that these volatile substances act as sex pheromones and may be crucial olfactory clues for mate selection between birds. The oxidation behavior of body-centered cubic (bcc) structure Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 refractory high-entropy alloy (RHEA) and the microdefects induced by hydrogen ions before and after oxidation were investigated. The results revealed that compared with oxidizing Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 at 800 °C (6.7 °C/min) for 4 h (ST3, Ar:O2 = 3:1), the heating procedure of oxidizing Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 at 300 °C (6 °C/min) for 2 h and then increased to 800 °C (5 °C/min) for 4 h is more conducive to the production of oxides without spalling on the surface, i.e., HT1 (Ar:O2 = 1:1), HT2 (Ar:O2 = 2:1) and HT3 (Ar:O2 = 3:1) samples. The oxidation of Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 RHEA is mainly controlled by the diffusion of cations instead of affinities with O. Additionally, HT1 and HT3 samples irradiated with a fluence of 3.9 × 1022 cm−2 hydrogen ions (60 eV) were found to have a better hydrogen irradiation resistance than Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 RHEA. The microdefects in irradiated Cr20Mn17Fe18Ta23W22 mainly existed as hydrogen bubbles, hydrogen-vacancy (H-V) complexes and vacancy/vacancy clusters. The microdefects in irradiated HT3 were mainly vacancies and H-V complexes, while the microdefects in irradiated HT1 mainly existed as vacancies and vacancy clusters, as large amounts of hydrogen were consumed to react with oxides on the HT1 surface.
