The relevance of this topic lies in the need to use economic and management strategies that can help agricultural enterprises adapt to a changing environment and ensure sustainable and resilient growth in the future. The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of economic and managerial factors on the development of agricultural enterprises, with a focus on creating sustainable business models. The methods used were analytical, statistical, and comparative. The paper examines the role of economics in the formation of sustainable business models of agricultural enterprises, focusing on optimizing the use of resources and adapting to market conditions. It is found that economic aspects include optimization of production processes, cost management and analysis of market trends. Efficient use of resources is a key aspect of sustainable business models of modern agricultural enterprises. The use of advanced technologies, such as precision farming and process mechanization, helps to increase productivity and reduce costs. Management of such market factors includes strategic planning, risk analysis and search for new development opportunities. An example of successful use of innovative technologies in agriculture is given on the sample of the American company John Deere. The article describes the strategy for developing sustainable business models for the Ukrainian company Myronivsky Hliboproduct, which includes the introduction of advanced agricultural technologies, diversification of production, optimization of resource use, development of local markets, improvement of risk management and promotion of social development of local communities. It is noted that the unfavourable conditions of war and economic instability pose serious challenges to the agricultural sector, but such conditions can also stimulate the search for new, more sustainable, and efficient business approaches. As a result, the development of sustainable business models for agricultural enterprises requires a comprehensive approach and systematic measures aimed at optimizing production, managing risks, and promoting the social development of local communities. Given the role of the agricultural sector in the development of the Ukrainian economy, it is important to find methods to improve the efficiency of its operation. Since one of them is the introduction of a circular economy, the study of cases of its application in the country is relevant. The purpose of the study was to show an example of the implementation of this concept in Ukraine, depicting the advantages and disadvantages of its application. The main research methods were analysis, comparison, and forecasting. The most significant example of implementing the principles of circular economics at the enterprise, namely the company Myronivsky Hliboproduct, was evaluated. It was shown that the company's approach is based on processing waste into biogas and using it as energy. This process not only helps to avoid increasing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, but also makes much more efficient use of the available resources. In addition, the features water recycling and existing trends in this area were described. Special attention was paid to the difficulties that the company faced during the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, and what actions were taken to improve the situation. Conclusions were also drawn about the likely opportunities for the company to achieve its goals in the context of the circular economy, considering current trends in the development of Ukraine. The practical value of the study lies in its usefulness for developing recommendations for enterprises to implement the concept of a circular economy. The recovery of Ukraine's economy requires a systematic approach. Correlation analysis confirmed the high degree of dependence of Ukraine's GDP on the volume of agricultural products. The study of trends in the development of the industry revealed a number of problems: the predominance of economic goals over growing environmental threats, the production of products with low added value, high dependence on exports, and others. The creation of an agribusiness ecosystem has been proposed in the development of a strategy for post-war recovery. Innovative technologies of Industry 4.0 will make this transition more efficient. To evaluate the effectiveness of the created agribusiness ecosystem, an integral indicator of balanced development is proposed. Based on the analysis of the economic, environmental, social, innovative spheres, the application of four directions to evaluate the outcome for all actors of the agribusiness ecosystem is substantiated. The article proved that the application of the «AGMEMOD-Ukraine» model allowed conduct forecasting the development indicators of agricultural producers in the context of sustainable rural development, namely: yield, gross harvest and sown areas of major crops, changes in demographic indicators on the basic and optimistic forecast, the results of which allow competitive strategies, the implementation of which will increase the volume of sales, profits, market share, penetration into a new market segment, etc. It is considered that the use of the model «AGMEMOD-Ukraine», which covers the multicriteria measurement of functional components of agricultural producers, provides an opportunity to analyze and predict not only key competitive advantages but also secondary characteristics, which together have a significant impact on solving problems of strategic management of economic efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine. The agri-food sector has been and remains the basis of Ukraine’s economy. Today, in the face of industrial decline and the all-encompassing process of deindustrialization of the economy, agri-food enterprises remain stable market players. Despite obstacles to development, agro-holdings have long dominated the agri-food market, accumulating significant land and financial resources. The largest companies are Kernel, UkrLandFarming, MHP, Agroposperis and Astarta-Kyiv, whose land banks exceed 200,000 hectares. These companies employ almost 75,000 workers. Agricultural holdings invest in their own development. One of the priority areas is innovative development. It is innovation that provides stability and a future for companies. The largest innovation fund is owned by Kernel, which spent $ 2.7 million, MHP — 2.5, AP Group — 2, Astarta-Kyiv, Harveast and IC — 1, Epicentr Agro — $ 0.42 million. Among these companies, Harveast and IC made the highest investments in innovative development per 1 hectare of agricultural land — 8.1 dollars, MHP — 6.9 $, Kernel and AP Group — 5 $, Astarta-Kyiv — 4 $ and Epicentr Agro — 3.8 $ per 1 hectare of agricultural land. However, despite these achievements, a mark of $ 50 / ha is considered acceptable. Due to the implementation of innovative measures Astarta-Kyiv saved about 15 million dollars in 4 years, Agroprosperis several times increased the efficiency of decisions made by agronomists, UkrLandFarming increased yields by a quarter. In general, according to experts, 80% of all spending on innovation is spent on computerization and automation of accounting processes, electronic document management, and protection of information from theft. Our study allowed us to analyze the work of company management in terms of areas of innovative development and to derive an indicator of integrated innovative development by segments and individual companies. The article considers the specifics of ensuring the efficiency of agricultural enterprises on the example of the Volyn region, Ukraine. The need to achieve the appropriate level of profitability as a criterion for the successful operation of agricultural enterprises is identified. The results of the activity of agricultural enterprises of the region according to the criteria of profitability and profitability are analyzed.
