Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) is a luminescence production technique triggered by electrochemistry, which has emerged as a powerful analytical technique in bioanalysis and clinical diagnosis. During ECL, charge transfer (CT) is an important process between electrochemical excitation and luminescent emission, and dramatically affects the efficiency of exciton generation, playing a pivotal role in the light-emitting properties of nanomaterials. Reticular framework materials with intramolecular/intermolecular interactions offer a promising platform for regulating CT pathways and enhancing luminescence efficiency. Deciphering the role of intramolecular/intermolecular CT processes in reticular framework materials allows for the targeted design and synthesis of emitters with precisely controlled CT properties. This sheds light on the microscopic mechanisms of electro-optical conversion in ECL, propelling advancements in their efficiency and breakthrough applications. This mini-review focuses on recent advancements in engineering CT within reticular frameworks to boost ECL efficiency. We summarized strategies including intra-reticular charge transfer, CT between the metal and ligands, and CT between guest molecules and frameworks within reticular frameworks, which holds promise for developing next-generation ECL devices with enhanced sensitivity and light emission. Convolutional neural network (CNN)-based and Transformer-based methods for hyperspectral image (HSI) classification have rapidly advanced due to their unique characterization capabilities. However, the fixed kernel sizes in convolutional layers limit the comprehensive utilization of multi-scale features in HSI land cover analysis, while the Transformer's multi-head self-attention (MHSA) mechanism faces challenges in effectively encoding feature information across various dimensions. To tackle this issue, this article introduces an HSI classification method, based on multi-scale convolutional features and multi-attention mechanisms (i.e., MSCF-MAM). Firstly, the model employs a multi-scale convolutional module to capture features across different scales in HSIs. Secondly, to enhance the integration of local and global channel features and establish long-range dependencies, a feature enhancement module based on pyramid squeeze attention (PSA) is employed. Lastly, the model leverages a classical Transformer Encoder (TE) and linear layers to encode and classify the transformed spatial–spectral features. The proposed method is evaluated on three publicly available datasets—Salina Valley (SV), WHU-Hi-HanChuan (HC), and WHU-Hi-HongHu (HH). Hyperspectral image classification (HSIC) has garnered increasing attention among researchers. While classical networks like convolution neural networks (CNNs) have achieved satisfactory results with the advent of deep learning, they are confined to processing local information. Vision transformers, despite being effective at establishing long-distance dependencies, face challenges in extracting high-representation features for high-dimensional images. In this paper, we present the multiscale efficient attention with enhanced feature transformer (MEA-EFFormer), which is designed for the efficient extraction of spectral–spatial features, leading to effective classification. MEA-EFFormer employs a multiscale efficient attention feature extraction module to initially extract 3D convolution features and applies effective channel attention to refine spectral information. Following this, 2D convolution features are extracted and integrated with local binary pattern (LBP) spatial information to augment their representation. Then, the processed features are fed into a spectral–spatial enhancement attention (SSEA) module that facilitates interactive enhancement of spectral–spatial information across the three dimensions. Finally, these features undergo classification through a transformer encoder. The work focuses on the optimization of management strategies of energy supply chain in oil–gas enterprises to find out the optimal management strategy and overcome the fragility of the traditional energy supply system. Back propagation neural network (BPNN) is applied to energy supply predicting and energy security early warning in oil–gas enterprises, and the security early warning system is designed based on the auxiliary cognitive system. The security early warning system is used to predict the peak value of oil and gas supply, and then the detection performances and the data security transmission performances of different models are compared and analysed. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation model for security management of oil–gas supply chain based on the neural network is established. It is found that compared with convolutional neural network (CNNs), the improved BPNN model algorithm proposed shows increased accuracy by 5.4%, reduced model training time and test time, and improved accuracy and recall rate. The accuracy, recall rate, and F1 value of the proposed model are 88.48%, 75.88%, and 96.21%, respectively, which were obviously higher than those of the CNN. It suggests that the improved security management model of oil–gas supply chain shows better recognition and prediction accuracy. Based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis results, the optimization suggestions for management strategies in oil–gas enterprises are put forward, which is of strategic significance for improving the security of oil–gas supply. With the rapid progress of urbanization in China, the real estate industry, characterized by a long industrial chain, has become a pillar industry for economic development. Therefore, we inspect the nexus between land finance, housing prices, and economic growth. For this purpose, we use the panel data of 277 cities at the prefecture level or above in China from 2011 to 2019, and empirically examine it by using the Panel Vector Auto Regression (PVAR) model. The results show that there is a causal relationship between housing prices and economic growth. Housing prices promote economic growth in the short term and inhibit it in the long term. Both economic growth and housing prices have a significant impact on land finance. The economic growth show a significantly positive impact, while housing prices promote land finance in the short term with a long-term trend from positive to negative. This is the first study that tries to probe the relationship between urban housing prices, land finance, and economic growth by considering 277 prefecture-level and above cities in China. To promote the stable development of the regional economy, local governments need to overcome their dependence on the housing market and land finance and promote the healthy development of the housing market. In this study, an overview of two years of research findings concerning the 2022 Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai (HTHH) volcanic eruption in the stratospheric environment is provided, focusing on water vapor, aerosols, and ozone. Additionally, the potential impacts of these changes on aviation equipment materials are discussed. The HTHH volcanic eruption released a large amount of particles (e.g., ash and ice) and gases (e.g., H2O, SO2, and HCl), significantly affecting the redistribution of stratospheric water vapor and aerosols. Stratospheric water vapor increased by approximately 140–150 Tg (8–10%), with a concentration peak observed in the height range of 22.2–27 km (38–17 hPa). Satellite measurements indicate that the HTHH volcano injected approximately 0.2–0.5 Tg of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere, which was partially converted into sulfate aerosols. In-situ observations revealed that the volcanic aerosols exhibit hygroscopic characteristics, with particle sizes ranging from 0.22–0.42 μm under background conditions to 0.42–1.27 μm. The moist stratospheric conditions increased the aerosol surface area, inducing heterogeneous chlorine chemical reactions on the aerosol surface, resulting in stratospheric ozone depletion in the HTHH plume within one week. In addition, atmospheric disturbances and ionospheric disruptions triggered by volcanic eruptions may adversely affect aircraft and communication systems. Despite notable advancements achieved on Hyperspectral (HS) pansharpening tasks through deep learning techniques, previous methods are inherently constrained by convolution or self-attention intrinsic defects, leading to limited performance. In this paper, we proposed an Attention-Interactive Dual-Branch Convolutional Neural Network (AIDB-Net) for HS pansharpening. Our model purely consists of convolutional layers and simultaneously inherits the strengths of both convolution and self-attention, especially the modeling of short- and long-range dependencies. Specially, we first extract, tokenize, and align the hyperspectral image (HSI) and panchromatic image (PAN) by Overlapping Patch Embedding Blocks. Then, we specialize a novel Spectral-Spatial Interactive Attention which is able to globally interact and fuse the cross-modality features. The resultant token-global similarity scores can guide the refinement and renewal of the textural details and spectral characteristics within HSI features. By deeply combined these two paradigms, our AIDB-Net significantly improve the pansharpening performance. Moreover, with the acceleration by the convolution inductive bias, our interactive attention can be trained without large scale dataset and achieves competitive time cost with its counterparts. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, our AIDB-Net makes 5.2%, 3.1%, and 2.2% improvement on PSNR metric on three public datasets, respectively. There have been considerable efforts in generating tree crown maps from satellite images. However, tree localization in urban environments using satellite imagery remains a challenging task. One of the difficulties in complex urban tree detection tasks lies in the segmentation of dense tree crowns. Currently, methods based on semantic segmentation algorithms have made significant progress. We propose to split the tree localization problem into two parts, dense clusters and single trees, and combine the target detection method with a procedural generation method based on planting rules for the complex urban tree detection task, which improves the accuracy of single tree detection. Specifically, we propose a two-stage urban tree localization pipeline that leverages deep learning and planting strategy algorithms along with region discrimination methods. This approach ensures the precise localization of individual trees while also facilitating distribution inference within dense tree canopies. Additionally, our method estimates the radius and height of trees, which provides significant advantages for three-dimensional reconstruction tasks from remote sensing images. We compare our results with other existing methods, achieving an 82.3% accuracy in individual tree localization. This method can be seamlessly integrated with the three-dimensional reconstruction of urban trees. We visualized the three-dimensional reconstruction of urban trees generated by this method, which demonstrates the diversity of tree heights and provides a more realistic solution for tree distribution generation. Background: Scarce research has reported the efficacy and safety of laparoscopic distal gastrectomy in elderly patients. This retrospective study aimed to compare the outcomes of laparoscopic and open distal gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer in elderly patients. Methods: A total of 303 elderly patients who underwent distal gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer from June 2017 to June 2021 were enrolled. Variables used to calculate propensity score matching included sex, age, body mass index, American Society of Anesthesiologists, history of diabetes, and history of hypertension. The statistical significance of continuous variables was tested using an independent sample t test. chi-square or Fisher's exact tests were used for categorical variables. Kaplan–Meier curve and log-rank test were used for the evaluation of 3-year overall survival and recurrence-free survival. Results: After performing 1:1 propensity score matching, 248 patients were included for analysis (laparoscopic = 124, open = 124). Compared with the open group, the laparoscopic group showed significant advantages in estimated blood loss (P < 0.001), pain scale on the first postoperative day (P = 0.002), time to first flatus (P = 0.004), time to first liquid diet (P = 0.005), hospital stays (P < 0.001), and total complications (P = 0.011), but devoted much more operation time (P < 0.001). No statistical difference was observed between the two groups in 3-year recurrence-free survival (P = 0.315) or overall survival (P = 0.159). Conclusions: Our analysis demonstrated that laparoscopic surgery had the advantages of less intraoperative blood loss, fewer postoperative complications, and faster postoperative recovery in distal gastrectomy for advanced gastric, indicating that laparoscopic distal gastrectomy is safe and effective for treating elderly patients with distal gastric cancer. Simple Summary: Protozoa that parasitize within host cells can avoid direct damage from the host immune system. In this review, we have revealed some key factors and signaling pathways that inhibit host cell apoptosis, regulate cell apoptosis signal transduction, and interfere with the molecular mechanisms of cell apoptosis. These findings provide important clues to further understand the infection mechanism and pathogenesis of Apicomplexan protozoa and a theoretical basis for the development of new therapeutic strategies and preventive measures. Apicomplexan protozoa, which are a group of specialized intracellular parasitic protozoa, infect humans and other animals and cause a variety of diseases. The lack of research on the interaction mechanism between Apicomplexan protozoa and their hosts is a key factor restricting the development of new drugs and vaccines. In the early stages of infection, cell apoptosis is inhibited by Apicomplexan protozoa through their interaction with the host cells; thereby, the survival and reproduction of Apicomplexan protozoa in host cells is promoted. In this review, the key virulence proteins and pathways are introduced regarding the inhibition of cell apoptosis by the interaction between the protozoa and their host during the early stage of Apicomplexan protozoa infection. A novel electromagnetic shocking treatment (EST) was put forward to selectively embellish interface microstructure of solid alloy and improve its performance in our previous work. However, considering the nonlinear response characteristic of phase evolution under EST, the effect of precipitates evolution on precipitate and microhardness distribution of Al7075-T73 alloy is worth of attention and still unknown. Herein, microhardness distribution test and TEM characterization of precipitates for Al7075-T73 alloy are carried out to explore the influence mechanism of EST on the precipitate and microhardness distribution. Compared with the received sample, the microhardness distribution turns more homogeneous, while the average microhardness remains basically constant for EST sample. Besides, for EST sample, grain boundary precipitates (GBPs) dissolve and coarsen obviously, while there also exists that the distribution of matrix intragranular precipitates remains basically constant with that of the received sample. Meanwhile, stripy grain boundaries (GBs) can be observed more commonly and GB wetting occurs for EST sample. It indicates that EST promotes nonlinear interface wetting and results in nonlinear phase transition, inducing significant GBPs transformation and then gradient phase transition of precipitates within grain size scale. The resultant gradient phase distribution combined with nonlinear interface bridging promotes a more homogeneous microhardness distribution without losing the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy. This work provides a new understanding about the effect of EST on the microstructure evolution process of solid alloy and is beneficial to the optimization of EST process to improve the service performance of alloys and even finished parts. Online surface inspection systems have gradually found applications in industrial settings. However, the manual effort required to sift through a vast amount of data to identify defect images remains costly. This study delves into a self-supervised binary classification algorithm for addressing the task of defect image classification within ductile cast iron pipe (DCIP) images. Leveraging the CutPaste-Mix data augmentation strategy, we combine defect-free data with enhanced data to input into a deep convolutional neural network. Through Gaussian Density Estimation, we compute anomaly scores to achieve the classification of abnormal regions. Our approach has been implemented in real-world scenarios, involving equipment installation, data collection, and experimentation. The results demonstrate the robust performance of our method, in both the DCIP image dataset and practical field application, achieving an impressive 99.5 AUC (Area Under Curve). Background: Psychological distress is an important mental health problem in college students. Insomnia may be a major factor contributing to psychological distress. This study aimed to explore the indirect relationship between insomnia and psychological distress through the five PERMA wellbeing variables (i.e., positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning in life, and achievement) among nursing college students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in China using an online survey design. Mediation analyses were examined using the PROCESS macro version 4.1 for SPSS 27.0. A total of 1741 nursing college students completed the online survey. Results: Insomnia was positively associated with psychological distress (p < 0.01, r = 0.673), while negative associations were detected between PERMA wellbeing variables and insomnia (p < 0.01, r range = −0.176 and −0.272), as well as psychological distress (p < 0.01, r range = −0.196 and −0.386). The association between insomnia and psychological distress was partially mediated by the participants' positive emotions (indirect effect = 0.137, SE = 0.024, 95% CI boot = [0.094, 0.188]), engagement (indirect effect = −0.033, SE = 0.010, 95% CI boot = [−0.054, −0.017]), and meaning in life (indirect effect = 0.027, SE = 0.014, 95% CI boot = [0.001, 0.055]) but not their relationships or achievement of the PERMA wellbeing variables. Conclusions: The findings of this study suggest that the PERMA wellbeing variables, especially positive emotions, engagement, and meaning in life, could be potential mechanisms by which insomnia is associated with psychological distress. The mediating roles of PERMA wellbeing variables between insomnia and psychological distress could be incorporated into the health management of university administrations to promote the health and wellbeing of nursing college students. Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most frequent malignant brain tumor, the relapse of which is unavoidable following standard treatment. However, the effective treatment for recurrent GBM is lacking, necessitating the understanding of key mechanisms driving tumor recurrence and the identification of new targets for intervention. Here, we integrated single-cell RNA-sequencing data spanning 36 patient-matched primary and recurrent GBM (pGBM and rGBM) specimens, with 6 longitudinal GBM spatial transcriptomics to explore molecular alterations at recurrence, with each cell type characterized in parallel. Genes involved in extracellular matrix (ECM) organization are preferentially enriched in rGBM cells, and MAFK is highlighted as a potential regulator. Notably, we uncover a unique subpopulation of GBM cells that is much less detected in pGBM and highly expresses ECM and mesenchyme related genes, suggesting it may contribute to the molecular transition of rGBM. Further regulatory network analysis reveals that transcription factors, such as NFATC4 and activator protein 1 members, may function as hub regulators. All non-tumor cells alter their specific sets of genes as well and certain subgroups of myeloid cells appear to be physically associated with the mesenchyme-like GBM subpopulation. The preparation and application of microcapsules containing healing agents have become a crucial way to enhance the self-healing capability of bitumen. This intelligent material has become a hot topic in the field of pavement material and has greatly stimulated the development and applications of pavement engineering. However, there has been no research focused on the relationship of the multistructures from the viewpoint of molecular-size, microsize, and macrosize, which significantly limits the predictions of the self-healing efficiency and structure design of this self-healing material. The purpose of this study was to make a mathematical analysis of the influencing factors of self-healing efficiency based on the self-healing mechanism of bitumen using microcapsules, fully considering the structural dimensions, preparation conditions, and self-healing conditions. In the mathematical analysis, the cross-linking degree of the shell material molecules of the microcapsules was considered for its damage strength from the perspective of molecular structure. The final tip stress of the microcrack was believed to be equal to the puncture strength of the microcapsules in terms of microsize. From a macroscale point of view, the amount of healing agent released from the microcapsule rupture was considered more significant than or equal to the volume of the microcracks. At the same time, the time–temperature superposition principle was applied to simplify the influence factors. The above derivation based on multiscale structures found that the additive amount of the microcapsules, temperature, and time were the three main influencing factors on the self-healing features of bitumen. Finally, the experimental data was investigated considering the three factors, which thoroughly verified the feasibility of the derivation. The oily rejuvenator acted as the healing agent in microvasculars. A tensile test was designed to evaluate the self-healing efficiency of asphalt affected by microvascular number, self-healing time and temperature. It was found that the healing agent was slowly released through the microporous channels on the inner shell of the microvascular. The release modes of the agent can work together to improve the self-healing efficiency. The self-healing values of the three samples (asphalt, asphalt/microvasculars without rejuvenator and asphalt/microvasculars with rejuvenator) are 51%, 53%, and 71%. The self-healing capability of the asphalt samples with a healing agent is much greater than that of the other two without a healing agent at the same time. More microvascular rupture at the asphalt sample interface led to a higher self-healing efficiency. The self-healing efficiency values of the three samples (asphalt samples with one, two, and three microvasculars) are 52%, 67%, and 73%, respectively. The self-healing efficiency of the same sample increased during 1–3 days from 26% to 88% in one self-healing cycle. The self-healing efficiency value indicated that increasing the temperature improved each sample's self-healing efficiency. The above trend of change also applies to the second self-healing process. A higher temperature reduces the resistance to molecular motion and accelerates the molecular action of bitumen and the healing agent. CO2 flooding is recognized as an efficient method for enhancing shale oil recovery, while CO2-oil MMP (minimum miscibility pressure) in the micro-nanoscale is a crucial parameter. This paper presents a method for calculating the MMPs of pure hydrocarbons (C4H10, C6H14, C8H18, and C10H22) and CO2 systems in nanopores (3 nm to 10 nm) with temperature ranging from 290.15 K to 373.15 K. Firstly, we modify the Peng-Robinson equation of state (PR-EOS) by considering the influence of confinement effect and capillary pressure in nanopores. Secondly, the flash calculation algorithm is employed to determine whether the oil and gas phases in nanopores have reached an equilibrium state according to the equality of the fugacity of the two phases. Thirdly, we calculate the interfacial tension (IFT) between the two phases using the Macleod-Sugden equation. When the extrapolated IFT is zero, we treat the corresponding pressure as the MMP of the CO2-oil system in nanopores. Simulation results indicate that the calculated MMP using this method has a relative error of about 0.62% compared to the MMP calculated using the multiple mixing cell (MMC) method, indicating high reliability for MMP prediction. Moreover, the measured MMP at the nanoscale is generally smaller than that in the bulk phase due to the influence of the confinement effect. Background: During pregnancy, both ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and pregnancy luteoma could manifest as massive ascites, enlarged ovaries, or elevated serum levels of cancer antigen 125 (CA125), and atypical cells may be found in the ascitic fluid of OHSS patients. Whether this should be treated aggressively as peritoneal carcinomatosis is controversial. Case presentation: A 35-year-old G2P1A1 woman with secondary infertility had a successful pregnancy after one cycle of assisted reproductive technology. The patient complained of lower abdominal distension, oliguria, and poor appetite 19 days after embryo transplantation. She was diagnosed with late-onset OHSS. Although the size of the ovaries decreased bilaterally to the normal range at 12 weeks of gestation after prompt medical care, the ascites increased again after an initial decreasing trend. Elevated serum levels of CA125 (191.1 IU/mL), and suspected adenocarcinoma cells were observed in the ascitic fluid. Although further magnetic resonance imaging examination or diagnostic laparoscopy was recommended, the patient was provided with supportive treatment and closely monitored upon her request. Surprisingly, her ascites diminished, and serum level of CA125 started to decline at 19 weeks of gestation. During cesarean section, pathological examination of the solid mass in the right ovary revealed pregnancy luteoma, which was presumably the other cause of the intractable ascites. Conclusions: Caution should be exercised in cases of suspicious malignant ascites during pregnancy. This may due to OHSS or pregnancy luteoma, in which abnormalities usually regress spontaneously. Strong earthquakes can not only trigger many landslides in a short period of time but can also change the stability of slopes in the earthquake area, causing them to be active for a long time after the earthquake. Research on the variation of slow-motion slopes before and after earthquakes can help us to better understand the mechanism of earthquake-affected landslides, which is also crucial for assessing the long-term landslide risk in seismically active areas. Here, L-band ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 images are utilized with the SBAS-InSAR algorithm to monitor and assess the location and activity changes of slow-moving landslides in the Iburi region (Hokkaido, Japan) before and after an earthquake occurred on 6 September 2018. Unlike previous studies, which focused on single typical landslides, we tracked all the landslides within a 33 × 55 km region close to the epicenter. According to the results, the majority of the co-seismic landslides that quickly failed during the earthquake are now stable, and a few of them are still moving. In contrast, due to near-field seismic shaking, certain slopes that did not show substantial surface changes during the earthquake period continued to move and eventually developed into slow-moving landslides. In addition, it can be seen from the spatial distribution of slow-moving landslides after the earthquake that this distribution is not only dependent on strong earthquake seismic vibration or the hanging-wall effect. Far-field weak vibrations can also accelerate landslides. Additionally, we discovered that the earthquake made the unstable slopes move more quickly but also tended to stabilize the slopes that were already in motion before the earthquake. The various response modes of slow-moving landslides to seismic events are related not only to the intensity of seismic vibration but also to the geological conditions of the region and to the size of the landslide itself. The advent of immunotherapy has made an indelible mark on the field of cancer therapy, especially the application of immune checkpoint inhibitors in clinical practice. Although immunotherapy has proven its efficacy and safety in some tumors, many patients still have innate or acquired resistance to immunotherapy. The emergence of this phenomenon is closely related to the highly heterogeneous immune microenvironment formed by tumor cells after undergoing cancer immunoediting. The process of cancer immunoediting refers to the cooperative interaction between tumor cells and the immune system that involves three phases: elimination, equilibrium, and escape. During these phases, conflicting interactions between the immune system and tumor cells result in the formation of a complex immune microenvironment, which contributes to the acquisition of different levels of immunotherapy resistance in tumor cells. In this review, we summarize the characteristics of different phases of cancer immunoediting and the corresponding therapeutic tools, and we propose normalized therapeutic strategies based on immunophenotyping. Since late 2019, the explosive outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) has emerged as a global threat, necessitating a worldwide overhaul of public health systems. One critical strategy to prevent virus transmission and safeguard public health, involves deploying Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) sites. Nevertheless, determining the optimal locations for public NAT sites presents a significant challenge, due to the varying number of sites required in different regions, and the substantial influences of population, the population heterogeneity, and daily dynamics, on the effectiveness of fixed location schemes. To address this issue, this study proposes a data-driven framework based on classical location-allocation models and bi-objective optimization models. The framework optimizes the number and location of NAT sites, while balancing various cost constraints and adapting to population dynamics during different periods of the day. The bi-objective optimization process utilizes the Knee point identification (KPI) algorithm, which is computationally efficient and does not require prior knowledge. A case study conducted in Shenzhen, China, demonstrates that the proposed framework provides a broader service coverage area and better accommodates residents' demands during different periods, compared to the actual layout of NAT sites in the city. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the mechanism and interaction of microRNA-181a (miR-181a), toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) in gastric hypersensitivity in diabetic rats. Methods: Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ; 65 mg/kg) in female SD rats. Gastric balloon distension technique was used to measure diabetic gastric hypersensitivity. Gastric-specific (T7-T10) dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons were acutely dissociated to measure excitability with patch-clamp techniques. Western blotting was employed to measure the expressions of TLR4, TRAF6 and NF-κB subunit p65 in T7-T10 DRGs. The expressions of microRNAs in T7-T10 DRGs were measured with quantitative real-time PCR and fluorescence in situ hybridization. Dual-luciferase reporter gene assay was used to detect the targeting regulation of microRNAs on TLR4. Results: (1) Diabetic rats were more sensitive to graded gastric balloon distention at 2 and 4 weeks. (2) The expression of TLR4 was significantly up-regulated in T7-T10 DRGs of diabetic rats. Intrathecal injection of CLI-095 (TLR4-selective inhibitor) attenuated diabetic gastric hypersensitivity, and markedly reversed the hyper-excitability of gastric-specific DRG neurons. (3) The expressions of miR-181a and miR-7a were significantly decreased in diabetic rats. MiR-181a could directly regulate the expression of TLR4, while miR-7a couldn't. (4) Intrathecal injection of miR-181a agomir down-regulated the expression of TLR4, reduced the hyper-excitability of gastric-specific neurons, and alleviated gastric hypersensitivity. (5) p65 and TLR4 were co-expressed in Dil-labeled DRG neurons. (6) Inhibition of p65 attenuated diabetic gastric hypersensitivity and hyper-excitability of gastric-specific DRG neurons. (7) The expression of TRAF6 was significantly up-regulated in diabetic rats. CLI-095 treatment also reduced the expression of TRAF6 and p65. Conclusion: The reduction of microRNA-181a in T7-T10 DRGs might up-regulate TLR4 expression. Remarkable exertions are directed to reveal and understand topographic cues that induce cell mechanical sensitive responses including lineage determination. Extracellular matrix (ECM) is the sophisticated ensemble of diverse factors offering the complicated cellular microenvironment to regulate cell behaviors. However, the functions of only a few of these factors are revealed; most of them are still poorly understood. Herein, the focus is on understanding the curved structure in ECM network for regulating stem cell mechanotransduction. A curved nanofiber network mimicking the curved structure in ECM is fabricated by an improved electrospinning technology. Compared with the straight fibers, the curved fibers promote cell bridge formation because of the cytoskeleton tension. The actomyosin filaments are condensed near the curved edge of the non‐adhesive bridge in the bridging cells, which generates higher myosin‐II‐based intracellular force. This force drives cell lineage commitment toward osteogenic differentiation. The aging and damage of artificial skin materials for artificial intelligence robots are technical problems that need to be solved urgently in their application. In this work, poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) fibers containing a liquid agent were fabricated directly as biomimetic microvasculars, which were mixed in a glycol–polyvinyl alcohol–gelatin network gel to form biomimetic self-healing artificial skin composites. The self-healing agent was a uniform-viscous buffer solution composed of phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na), which was mixed under 40 °C. Microstructure analysis showed that the fiber surface was smooth and the diameter was uniform. SEM images of the fiber cross-sections showed that there were uniformly distributed voids. With the extension of time, there was no phenomenon of interface separation after the liquid agent diffused into the matrix through the fiber cavity. The entire process of self-healing was observed and determined including fiber breakage and the agent diffusion steps. XRD and FT–IR results indicated that the self-healing agent could enter the matrix material through fiber damage or release and it chemically reacted with the matrix material, thereby changing the chemical structure of the damaged matrix. Self-healing behavior analysis of the artificial skin indicated that its self-healing efficiency increased to an impressive 97.0% with the increase in temperature to 45 °C. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Ferroptosis plays a key role in human cancer, but its function and mechanism in glioma is not clear. P62/SQSTM1 was reported to inhibit ferroptosis via the activation of NRF2 signaling pathway. In this study we reveal a dual role of p62 in ferroptosis of glioblastoma (GBM) according to p53 status. Method: Lipid peroxidation analysis, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), GSH assay were performed to determine the level of ferroptosis. Western blot and qPCR were obtained to detect the expression of ferroptosis markers. Construction of mutant plasmids, immunoprecipitation, luciferase assay and rescue-experiments were performed to explore the regulatory mechanism. Results: P62 overexpression facilitates ferroptosis and inhibits SLC7A11 expression in p53 mutant GBM, while attenuates ferroptosis and promotes SLC7A11 expression in p53 wild-type GBM. P62 associates with p53 and inhibits its ubiquitination. The p53-NRF2 association and p53-mediated suppression of NRF2 antioxidant activity are diversely regulated by p62 according to p53 status. P53 mutation status is required for the dual regulation of p62 on ferroptosis. In wild-type p53 GBM, the classical p62-mediated NRF2 activation pathway plays a major regulatory role of ferroptosis, leading to increased SLC7A11 expression, resulting in a anti-ferroptosis role. In mutant p53 GBM, stronger interaction of mutant-p53/NRF2 by p62 enhance the inhibitory effect of mutant p53 on NRF2 signaling, which reversing the classical p62-mediated NRF2 activation pathway, together with increased p53's transcriptional suppression on SLC7A11 by p62, leading to a decrease of SLC7A11, resulting in a pro-ferroptosis role. Conclusion: Together, this study shows novel molecular mechanisms of ferroptosis regulated by p62; the mutation status of p53 is an important factor that determines the therapeutic response to p62-mediated ferroptosis-targeted therapies in GBM. Fertility is a significant concern among adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors and their caregivers, especially after their completion of cancer treatment programs. Concerns about fertility affect not only cancer patients' psychological well‐being, but also all aspects of their medical treatments, including treatment protocol, decision‐making, and treatment adherence. In this scoping review, the PubMed, CINAHL, Web of Science, Embase, CNKI, and Wanfang electronic databases were searched according to the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐Analysis Extension for Scoping Reviews. The searches identified 669 articles, 54 of which met the inclusion criteria. Reviewers extracted the data on the study characteristics, measurements, positive factors, negative factors, and additional themes. This scoping review included studies from 10 countries. Most studies were quantitative using a cross‐sectional design. The prevalence of reproductive concerns among AYA cancer survivors ranged from 44% to 86%, and 28% to 44% of the survivors experienced moderate to severe concerns. Given multiple material performance advantages, ceramic matrix composite (CMC) material has become one of the most promising hot structural materials used for thermal protection system in hypersonic vehicles. Under harsh thermal exposure of vehicles in flight, the design of connection structure would be a critical issue in improving load-carrying efficiency and ensuring service safety of aircraft structures in service environments. However, little attention was paid on mechanical behavior and its factors affecting the mechanical property of CMC joining at elevated temperature. To address this concern, a 3D finite element model coupled with progressive damage analysis is carried out to predict high temperature tensile properties and failure behavior of single-lap, double-bolt CMC/superalloy joints assembled by two serial protruding-head bolts. In the implementation of progressive damage analysis of 2D plain-woven C/SiC composites, a user-defined subroutine UMAT including a nonlinear constitutive model, 3D Alvaro failure criterion and Tan's material degradation rule were embedded into the general package ABAQUS® through Fortran program interface. A parametric study considering geometries of joints was performed to evaluate their resultant influence on high temperature tensile behavior and the associated damage mechanisms for the CMC/superalloy double-bolt joint. Instant delivery is an intermediary bridge for same-city O2O services and an important part of urban short-distance logistics. The route planning and scheduling of instant delivery need to balance cost and customer satisfaction and consider the impact of traffic conditions on the distribution process. In this paper, we propose a vehicle routing problem model considering two types of customer time windows under time-dependent road networks and design a memetic algorithm combined with genetic algorithm and variable neighborhood search to solve the problem. Background: Lung cancer (LC) is one of the most common cancers and a leading cause of cancer‐related deaths worldwide. In many pathological conditions, particularly in the tumor microenvironment, cells and tissues frequently exist in a hypoxic state. Here, we evaluated Itchy E3 ubiquitin protein ligase (ITCH) expression in LC cells following hypoxia treatment. Methods: LC cell lines were treated with hypoxic condition. Cell migration, invasion, inflammation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and apoptosis of LC cells were determined by wound healing assay, Transwell invasive assay, ELISA, DCFH‐DA staining, and flow cytometry, respectively. qPCR and WB were used to determine the expression of ITCH and TXNIP. Co‐IP was performed to assess the interaction between ITCH and TXNIP. Results: ITCH expression was downregulated in LC cells under hypoxic conditions. Next, LC cells were subjected to hypoxic conditions and changes in cell viability and metastasis were determined. Hypoxic conditions resulted in increased migration and invasion abilities of LC cells. Intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, inflammation, and apoptosis were also promoted by hypoxia. We found that ITCH overexpression led to the proteasomal degradation of thioredoxin‐interacting protein (TXNIP), whereas the expression of the ITCH C830A mutant did not affect TXNIP levels in LC cells. The gain‐of‐function experiment demonstrated that migration, invasion, ROS generation, inflammation, and apoptosis of hypoxia‐conditioned LC cells were ameliorated by ITCH overexpression, whereas the ITCH C830A mutant did not cause any changes in these phenotypes. Furthermore, the contribution of TXNIP knockdown and ITCH overexpression to the hypoxia‐induced features in LC cells with ITCH C830A was found to be similar. Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) battery is deemed as one of the optimal next-generation energy storage devices due to its low cost and high energy density. However, the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfide (LiPS), sluggish reaction kinetics, and fatal Li-dendrite growth hinder its practical applications. In this work, a bifunctional nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheet conductive framework embedded with VN-Mo 2 C heterointerfaces (VN/Mo 2 C@CNS) is reported as a separator modifier for both sulfur cathode and lithium anode. The VN/Mo 2 C@CNS can offer a synergistic effect of strong surface affinity, good catalytic activity, and small diffusion barrier to accelerate the conversion of polysulfides, which was confirmed by in-situ Raman and theoretical calculation. Moreover, the composite has good lithiophilicity, thus inhibiting the formation of dendrites and achieving uniform lithium deposition. Benefiting from the above merits, the Li-S cells with VN/Mo 2 C@CNS separator obtain desirable rate performance (687 mAh g−1 at 4 C), long cycle life of 1000 cycles (0.042 % capacity attenuation per cycle at 1 C), high areal capacity of 4.2 mAh cm−2 (under a high sulfur loading of 5.6 mg cm−2), and stable performance in protecting the Li anode (at 5 mA cm−2 for 1000 h). This work highlights a novel strategy for facilely designing heterostructures, offering valuable insights to tackle sulfur cathode and lithium anode challenges simultaneously for longevous Li-S batteries. The efficient removal of hemicelluloses while preventing cellulose hydrolysis is crucial in Kraft pulping yet remains challenging. Herein, a mild pressure-assisted hydrothermal pretreatment strategy was developed in this study prior to Kraft pulping. Research indicated that pretreatment at 155 °C under 3 MPa pressure significantly enhances hemicelluloses removal (to 70.63 %), surpassing even that at 165 °C under ambient pressure. Moreover, during pre-hydrolysis Kraft pulping, pressure-assisted hydrothermal pretreatment could reduce the concentration of active alkali used in the subsequent pulping process. The cellulose properties (viscosity = 491 ml/g) and purity (R10 = 94.60 %) of bleached pulp obtained from pressure-assisted hydrothermal pretreatment outperform those obtained from conventional hydrolysis. Furthermore, the removed hemicelluloses were converted into monosaccharides and polysaccharides to produce high-value chemicals in downstream processes. Therefore, pressure-assisted hydrothermal pretreatment not only enhanced hemicelluloses removal and pulp properties but also reduced alkali concentration in the subsequent pulping process, promoting sustainable development in pulp production. This article analyzes the difficulties associated with the preservation and transmission of religious cultural resources and the difficulties encountered in the new development environment and background. It does so in light of the current state of religious, cultural resources. The protection, growth, and use of religious and cultural resources against the backdrop of the digital era are elaborated upon and critically analyzed in this article. Based on the foregoing discussion, this article conducts a thorough analysis of the development of a digital platform for religious and cultural resources and its big data analysis, and it also suggests an image feature extraction algorithm based on DL. This article develops a clustering CNN based on the network with PCA vector as convolution kernel, which clusters small images and computes principal component vectors according to categories, generating multiple groups of convolution kernels to extract more features so that the input image can select feature extractors adaptively. Simulation and comparative analysis are used in this article to confirm the algorithm's effectiveness. Compared to the conventional NN algorithm, simulation results indicate that this algorithm is more accurate, with a maximum accuracy of about 95.14 percent. The turn of contemporary visual culture has led to the expansion of the connotation and scope of visual communication design (VCD) education, the generation of new artistic concepts and forms, and the great changes in the subject education system. VCD instruction now has an enhanced teaching environment and operational platform because of the rapid advancement of digital technology. Digital technology is expected to break through traditional learning methods in the future and will be more widely integrated into VCD courses. A topic that must be addressed and explored in the reform and growth of VCD education is how to build a fairer and more inclusive college art education subject system. Therefore, it is particularly important to design a complete VCD teaching evaluation system. In this paper, artificial intelligence technology is applied to the teaching quality evaluation (TQE) system, and a scientific and reliable TQE model is obtained. The main works of this paper are as follows: (1) analyze the background and significance of TQE research, and systematically expound the domestic and foreign research status of TQE, genetic algorithm, and neural network. (2) Using an adaptive mutation evolutionary method, this research builds a TQE system for the VCD course and produces a BPNN model. The adaptive mutation genetic algorithm's convergence speed is considerably faster than the regular genetic algorithms, the optimized neural network's performance is also superior, and the model has a faster convergence time and better prediction accuracy. Deformation and heat treatment are important means to strengthen aluminum alloys. However, the influence mechanism of pre-strain on aging precipitation kinetics and its effect on mechanical properties are still not clear. In this work, uniaxial isothermal tensile tests with different strains and artificial aging treatments for Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys have been carried out. Then, a model describing the precipitates kinetic behavior has been developed to investigate the effect of thermal pre-strain on subsequent aging precipitation kinetics and peak aging microhardness based on the microstructure characterization by TEM, SAXS and XRD tests. In addition, the role of dislocations on the aging precipitation kinetics is also explored. The experimental results show that the peak aging microhardness of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy reveals a tendency to decrease and increase and then the peak aging time firstly decreases and then keeps almost constant with the increase in the strain. The calculations demonstrate that the precipitate average size almost remains unchanged, while the precipitate volume fraction decreases and then increases with the increase in strain, which is consistent with the change in peak aging microhardness. It also indicates that dislocations can promote precipitate nucleation and growth, while the actual effect depends on the dislocation density, which is closely dependent on the pre-deformation condition, especially for the precipitate nucleation. In particular, when the dislocation density after thermal pre-deformation is not enough, it will slightly inhibit precipitate nucleation but promote precipitate growth, which could shorten the peak aging time, with the peak aging strength being guaranteed. Trust in automation plays a leading role in human-automation interaction. As there lack of scales measuring trust in automation in China, the purpose of this study was to adapt the trust between People and Automation Scale (TPAS) into Chinese and to demonstrate its psychometric properties among Chinese adults. A total of 310 Chinese adults were randomly selected as sample 1, and 508 Chinese adults as sample 2. Results of the item analysis revealed that each item had a good quality, and the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) suggested that the two-factor model with 12 items was the best fitting model. In addition, the TPAS was positively correlated with Interpersonal Trust Scale (ITS), proving good evidence based on relations to other variables to support the TPAS. Non-renewable-resource consumption and global greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions are critical issues that pose a significant threat to sustainable development. Solar energy is a promising source to generate renewable energy and an appealing alternative electricity source for households. The primary goal of this research is to detect the rooftops that have no solar photovoltaic (PV) system deployed on them but that receive moderate to high solar-energy radiation using the Geographic Information System (GIS) and deep-learning techniques. Although various studies have been conducted on this subject, not many addressed these two issues simultaneously at a residential level. Identifying the installed solar PV systems in a large area can be expensive and time-consuming work if performed manually. Therefore, the deep-learning algorithm is an emerging alternative method to detect objects using aerial images. We employed the Single-Shot-Detector (SSD) model with the backbone of residual neural network 34 (ResNet34) to detect the solar PV systems and used GIS software to compute solar isolation and calculate the electricity production estimate (EPE) of each rooftop. Our results show that the SSD model detected 6010 solar panels on 4150 properties with an accuracy of 78% and observed that there were 176 Statistical Area 1s (SA1s) that had no rooftops with solar PV systems installed. Moreover, the total electricity production from the suitable area was estimated at over 929.8 Giga Watt-hours (GWhs) annually. Finally, the relation between solar-PV-system density and EPE was also identified using the bivariant correlation technique. Detecting the existing solar PV systems is useful in a broad range of applications including electricity-generation prediction, power-plant-production management, uncovering patterns between regions, etc. Examination of the spatial distribution of solar-energy potential in a region and performing an overlay analysis with socio-economic factors can help policymakers to understand the explanation behind the pattern and strategize the incentives accordingly. Background: Ferroptosis is an iron dependent cell death closely associated with p53 signaling pathway and is aberrantly regulated in glioblastoma (GBM), yet the underlying mechanism needs more exploration. Identifying new factors which regulate p53 and ferroptosis in GBM is essential for treatment. Methods: Glioma cell growth was evaluated by cell viability assays and colony formation assays. Lipid reactive oxygen species (ROS) assays, lipid peroxidation assays, glutathione assays, and transmission electron microscopy were used to assess the degree of cellular lipid peroxidation of GBM. The mechanisms of RND1 in regulation of p53 signaling were analyzed by RT-PCR, western blot, immunostaining, co-immunoprecipitation, ubiquitination assays and luciferase reporter assays. The GBM‐xenografted animal model was constructed and the tumor was captured by an In Vivo Imaging System (IVIS). Results: From the The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, we summarized that Rho family GTPase 1 (RND1) expression was downregulated in GBM and predicted a better prognosis of patients with GBM. We observed that RND1 influenced the glioma cell growth in a ferroptosis-dependent manner when GBM cell lines U87 and A172 were treated with Ferrostatin-1 or Erastin. Mechanistically, we found that RND1 interacted with p53 and led to the de-ubiquitination of p53 protein. Furthermore, the overexpression of RND1 promoted the activity of p53-SLC7A11 signaling pathway, therefore inducing the lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis of GBM. Conclusions: We found that RND1, a novel controller of p53 protein and a positive regulator of p53 signaling pathway, enhanced the ferroptosis in GBM. Purpose: To identify the optimal method for endometrial preparation in vitrified single-blastocyst transfer (VSBT) cycles. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study for non-PCOS patients who underwent VSBT cycles from March 2015 to November 2019 in an academic reproductive medical center. A total of 6840 VSBT cycles were enrolled and classified into two groups according to different endometrial preparation methods. Results: The non-PCOS patients who underwent VSBT showed a significantly higher clinical pregnancy rate (61.96% vs 56.85%, p < 0.001) and live birth rate (49.09% vs 39.86%, p < 0.001), as well as a statistically lower early miscarriage rate (12.02% vs 18.08%, p < 0.001) in the natural cycle (NC) group compared with the artificial cycle (AC) group. Multivariable analysis further confirmed that NC was associated with an increased likelihood of clinical pregnancy (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 0.852, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.765–0.949, p = 0.004) and live birth (aOR 0.746, 95% CI 0.669–0.832, p < 0.001), but decreased early miscarriage occurrence (aOR 1.447, 95% CI 1.215–1.724, p < 0.001) compared to AC. Conclusions: Our study demonstrated that non-PCOS patients could benefit from NC in vitrified blastocyst transfer. Background: Ferroptosis plays a key role in human cancer, but its function and mechanism in glioma is not clear. P62/SQSTM1 was reported to inhibit ferroptosis via the activation of NRF2 signaling pathway. In this study we reveal a dual role of p62 in ferroptosis of glioblastoma (GBM) according to p53 status. Method: Lipid peroxidation analysis, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), GSH assay were performed to determine the level of ferroptosis. Western blot and qPCR were obtained to detect the expression of ferroptosis markers. Construction of mutant plasmids, immunoprecipitation, luciferase assay and rescue-experiments were performed to explore the regulatory mechanism. Results: P62 overexpression facilitates ferroptosis and inhibits SLC7A11 expression in p53 mutant GBM, while attenuates ferroptosis and promotes SLC7A11 expression in p53 wild-type GBM. P62 associates with p53 and inhibits its ubiquitination. The p53-NRF2 association and p53-mediated suppression of NRF2 antioxidant activity are diversely regulated by p62 according to p53 status. P53 mutation status is required for the dual regulation of p62 on ferroptosis. In wild-type p53 GBM, the classical p62-mediated NRF2 activation pathway plays a major regulatory role of ferroptosis, leading to increased SLC7A11 expression, resulting in a anti-ferroptosis role. In mutant p53 GBM, stronger interaction of mutant-p53/NRF2 by p62 enhance the inhibitory effect of mutant p53 on NRF2 signaling, which reversing the classical p62-mediated NRF2 activation pathway, together with increased p53's transcriptional suppression on SLC7A11 by p62, leading to a decrease of SLC7A11, resulting in a pro-ferroptosis role. Conclusion: Together, this study shows novel molecular mechanisms of ferroptosis regulated by p62; the mutation status of p53 is an important factor that determines the therapeutic response to p62-mediated ferroptosis-targeted therapies in GBM. The introduction of customized bus (CB) service intends to expand and elevate existing transit service, which offers an efficient and sustainable alternative to serve commuters. A probabilistic model is proposed to optimize CB service with mixed vehicle sizes in an urban setting considering stochastic bus arrival time and spatiotemporal demand, which minimizes total cost subject to bus capacity and time window constraints. The studied optimization problem is combinatorial with many decision variables including vehicle assignment, bus routes, timetables, and fleet size. A heuristic algorithm is developed, which integrates a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) and adaptive destroy-and-repair (ADAR) method. The efficiency of HGA-ADAR is demonstrated through numerical comparisons to the solutions obtained by LINGO and HGA. Numerical instances are carried out, and the results suggested that the probabilistic model considering stochastic bus arrival time is valuable and can dramatically reduce the total cost and early and late arrival penalties. A case study is conducted in which the proposed model is applied to optimize a real-world CB service in Xi'an, China. The relationship between decision variables and model parameters is explored. Background: Serum lipid abnormalities are generally considered as a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, evidence for the effect of long-term serum lipid fluctuations on future T2DM probability remains limited. Methods: A total of 4475 nondiabetic participants who underwent annual health examinations between 2010 and 2013 were followed for the subsequent 5-year risk of T2DM. The Cox proportional hazards model was performed to evaluate the associations of visit-to-visit variabilities and trajectories of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) with T2DM probability. Results: During the five-year follow-up, 223 newly developed T2DM cases were identified. Compared with the "Low" TG trajectory, "Moderate" and "Moderate-High" TG trajectories were significantly associated with T2DM incidence, with adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95 % confidence intervals (CIs) of 1.51 (1.12-2.03) and 2.55 (1.62-4.03), respectively. Additionally, participants in the third and fourth quartiles of TG/standard deviation (SD) were associated with increased T2DM probability when compared with those in the lowest quartile. After excluding individuals with prediabetes, participants with "Moderate-High" TG trajectory still had a 2.43-fold greater risk of T2DM compared with those with "Low" TG trajectory (95 % CI: 1.28-4.63). In addition, compared with participants in "Low" HDL-c trajectory, the future T2DM probability was significantly reduced in those with "Moderate" and "High" HDL-c trajectories, with HR (95 % CI) of 0.52 (0.37-0.72) and 0.38 (0.18-0.80), respectively. After excluding individuals with prediabetes, the "Moderate" HDL-c trajectory remained associated with decreased T2DM probability when compared with "Low" HDL-c trajectory (HR: 0.55, 95 % CI: 0.35-0.88). However, the incidence of T2DM was not associated with the long-term fluctuations of TC and LDL-c. Conclusions: Long-term visit-to-visit variability of TG, and the change trajectories of TG and HDL-c were significantly associated with future T2DM probability. Objective. To determine the role of sodium butyrate in intestinal inflammation via regulation of high-mobility group box-1 (HMGB1), we analyzed the potential mechanism in necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in a neonatal mouse model. Methods. A NEC model was created with hypoxia and cold exposure and artificial overfeeding. C57BL/6 neonatal mice were randomized into three groups: the control, untreated NEC, and sodium butyrate (150 mM)-pretreated NEC groups. Pathological variations in ileocecal intestinal tissue were observed by HE staining and scored in a double-blind manner. The mRNA expression levels of HMGB1, Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), and inflammatory cytokines in intestinal tissues were determined by quantitative real-time PCR. The protein levels of HMGB1 and associated cytokines in intestinal tissues were evaluated using ELISA. The relative protein expression levels of TLR4 and NF-κB in intestinal tissues were quantified by western blot. Results. Sodium butyrate administration improved the body weight and survival rate of NEC mice; relieved intestinal pathological injury; reduced the intestinal expression of HMGB1, TLR4, NF-κB, interleukin- (IL-) 1β, IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α; and increased the intestinal expression of IL-10 (P < 0.05). Treatment with butyrate decreased the proportion of opportunistic Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1 and Enterococcus and increased the proportion of beneficial Firmicutes and Lactobacillus in the NEC model. Conclusions. Sodium butyrate intervention relieves intestinal inflammation and partially corrects the disrupted intestinal flora in mice with NEC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive glioma, and is prone to develop resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy; hence, patients with glioblastoma have a high recurrence rate and a low 1‐year survival rate. In addition, the pathogenesis of glioblastoma is complex and largely unknown, and the available treatments are limited. Here, we uncovered a fundamental role of DYRK1A in regulating NFATC1 in GBMs. We found that DYRK1A was highly expressed in glioma and glioblastoma cells, and its expression was positively correlated with that of NFATC1. Moreover, inhibition of DYRK1A promoted NFATC1 degradation in GBM cells and sharply reduced the transactivation of NFATC1, not only by decreasing the expression of NFATC1‐targeted genes, but also by reducing the luciferase activity, and vice versa. However, DYRK1A had the opposite effect on NFATC2. Most importantly, our data suggest that DYRK1A inhibition reduces glioblastoma migration. Polypeptides derived from the DYRK1A‐targeted motif of NFATC1, by competitively blocking DYRK1A kinase activity on NFATC1, clearly destabilized NFATC1 protein and impaired glioblastoma migration. We propose that the recovery of NFATC1 stability is a key oncogenic event in a large proportion of gliomas, and pharmacological inhibition of DYRK1A by polypeptides could represent a promising therapeutic intervention for GBM. Purpose: Lung cancer (LC) and breast cancer (BC) are the most common causes of brain metastases (BMs). Time from primary diagnosis to BM (TPDBM) refers to the time interval between initial LC or BC diagnosis and development of BM. This research aims to identify clinical, molecular, and therapeutic risk factors associated with shorter TPDBM. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all diagnosed LC and BC patients with BM at Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital from 2016 to 2020. A total of 570 patients with LC brain metastasis (LCBM) and 173 patients with breast cancer brain metastasis (BCBM) patients who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled for further analysis. BM free survival time curves were generated using Kaplan–Meier analyses. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were applied to identify risk factors associated with earlier development of BM in LC and BC, respectively. Results: The median TPDBM was 5.3 months in LC and 44.4 months in BC. In multivariate analysis, clinical stage IV and M1 stage were independent risk factors for early development of LCBM. LC patients who received chemotherapy, targeted therapy, pulmonary radiotherapy, and pulmonary surgery had longer TPDBM. For BC patients, age ≥ 50 years, Ki67 ≥ 0.3, HER2 positive or triple‐negative breast cancer subtype, advanced N stage, and no mastectomy were correlated with shorter TPDBM. Conclusions: This single‐institutional study helps identify patients who have a high risk of developing BM early. For these patients, early detection and intervention could have clinical benefits. Lithium-sulfur (Li–S) batteries are considered as the most promising successors of lithium-ion batteries, however, the shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics are the biggest obstacles hindering their commercialization. In this work, a kind of NiSe nanoparticles embedded in corn stalk-derived two-dimensional (2D) porous carbon nanosheet (NiSe@CSC) is constructed as a separator modifier for advanced Li–S batteries. The rich pore structure of the corn stalk-derived carbon nanosheets enables uniform distribution of NiSe and provides more deposition sites for lithium polysulfides (LiPS). Electrochemical analyses show that NiSe increases the affinity for LiPS to suppress the shuttle effect, thereby effectively preventing the corrosion of polysulfide on the lithium anode. NiSe@CSC is found to accelerate the redox conversion of sulfur species in the kinetic study. Consequently, the assembled Li–S cells with NiSe@CSC coating layer exhibit a high-rate performance of 710 mAh g−1 at 3 C and a low capacity attenuation rate of 0.046% per cycle after 800 cycles at 1 C. Furthermore, it can still maintain 2.8 mAh cm−2 at 0.5 C in near-commercial application scenarios of 4.1 mg cm−2 sulfur loading. The NiSe@CSC-based Li–Li symmetric cells also demonstrate stability and low overpotential in protecting the lithium anode. This combination of renewable biomass-based carbons and transition metal selenides enriches the exploration of biomass materials in separators and provides new ideas for designing practical Li–S batteries. The proven high carcinogenicity to humans and high destructive force to the environment determine the extreme urgency of eliminating hypertoxic Cr(VI) in water bodies. Herein, a route of room temperature synthesis and secondary grafting was proposed to fabricate graphene oxide-based nanoadsorbent co-functionalized with polydopamine and branched polyethyleneimine (GOPP) to remove Cr(VI). The flexible decoration of polydopamine and polyethyleneimine on GO flakes could gradually enhance the amount of N-containing functional groups and realize selective removal of Cr(VI) with the maximum experimental adsorption capacity of 564.7 mg/g, displaying a significantly high separation factor against alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, and other transition metal ions. Various combination mechanisms, such as electrostatic attraction, reduction, complexation, and hydrogen bonding, were demonstrated to be involved in the adsorption process of Cr(VI) by XPS, ESP, and DFT calculations. And the interaction energies of the five protonated configurations of primary amine, tertiary amine, secondary amine, imine, and secondary amine on the ring with HCrO 4 − were: −22.66, −12.08, −24.92, −24.26, −27.64 kcal/mol. In the actual industrial wastewater study, a Cr(VI) removal rate of 85.8% was realized. This work provided a viable idea for the elimination of Cr(VI) and was expected to be applied in the field of wastewater treatment. Over the past several decades, deep neural networks have been extensively applied to medical image segmentation tasks, achieving significant success. However, the effectiveness of traditional deep segmentation networks is substantially limited by the small scale of medical datasets, a limitation directly stemming from current medical data acquisition capabilities. To this end, we introduce AttEUnet, a medical cell segmentation network enhanced by edge attention, based on the Attention U-Net architecture. It incorporates a detection branch enhanced with edge attention and a learnable fusion gate unit to improve segmentation accuracy and convergence speed on small medical datasets. The AttEUnet allows for the integration of various types of prior information into the backbone network according to different tasks, offering notable flexibility and generalization ability. This method was trained and validated on two public datasets, MoNuSeg and PanNuke. The results show that AttEUnet significantly improves segmentation performance on small medical datasets, especially in capturing edge details, with F1 scores of 0.859 and 0.888 and Intersection over Union (IoU) scores of 0.758 and 0.794 on the respective datasets, outperforming both convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transformer-based baseline networks. Furthermore, the proposed method demonstrated a convergence speed over 10.6 times faster than that of the baseline networks. The edge attention branch proposed in this study can also be added as an independent module to other classic network structures and can integrate more attention priors based on the task at hand, offering considerable scalability. Background: The 4-hydroxysesamin (4-HS, a di-tetrahydrofuran lignin) is a modified sesamin that was prepared in the laboratory. This preclinical study was designed to preliminarily investigate the neuroprotective properties of 4-HS. Methods: In vitro, neuronal injury and inflammation were simulated by oxygen-glucose deprivation and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure in mouse hippocampal neuronal HT22 cell line, and treated with 4-HS and/or metformin (MET, MAPK pathway activator for exploring mechanism). CCK-8, flow cytometry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were performed to evaluate cell viability, apoptosis, and inflammation. Apoptosis- and pathway-related proteins were detected by Western blotting. Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) was constructed as a stroke model and treated with 4-HS for in vivo confirmation. Histological staining was used for in vivo evaluation of 4-HS properties. Results: The 4-HS showed similar anti-inflammatory activity to sesamin but did not affect the cell viability of HT22 cells. In vitro, 4-HS improved the cell viability, ameliorated neuronal apoptosis, along with the reversion of apoptotic proteins (Bax, cleaved-caspase 3/9, Bcl-2) expression and inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10) in LPS-treated HT22 cells. The 4-HS suppressed the phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, and p38 but the addition of MET reversed 4-HS-induced changes of phenotype and protein expression in LPS-treated cells. In vivo, 4-HS showed apparent improvement in cerebral infarction, brain tissue morphology, neuronal architecture, apoptosis, and inflammation of MCAO mice, and also showed inhibiting effects on the phosphorylation of ERK, JNK, and p38, confirming in vivo results. Conclusion: In this first pre-clinical study on 4-HS, we preliminarily demonstrated the neuroprotective properties of 4-HS both in cell and animal models, and proposed that the underlying mechanism might be associated with the MAPK pathway.
