Objectives: This study aimed to analyze publications on artificial intelligence (AI) for falls in older people from a bibliometric perspective. Methods: The Web of Science database was searched for titles of English‐language articles containing the words "artificial intelligence," "deep learning," "machine learning," "natural language processing,", "neural artificial network," "fall," "geriatric," "elderly," "aging," "older," and "old age." An R‐based application (Biblioshiny for bibliometrics) and VOSviewer software were used for analysis. Results: Thirty‐seven English articles published between 2018 and 2024 were included. The year 2023 is the year with the most publications with 16 articles. The most productive research field was "Engineering Electrical Electronic" with seven articles. The most productive country was the United States, followed by China. The most common words were "injuries," "people," and "risk factors." Conclusion: Publications on AI and falls in the elderly are both few in number and the number of publications has increased in recent years. Future research should include relevant analyses in scientific databases, such as Scopus and PubMed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears are prevalent orthopedic sports injuries and are difficult to precisely classify. Previous works have demonstrated the ability of deep learning (DL) to provide support for clinicians in ACL tear classification scenarios, but it requires a large quantity of labeled samples and incurs a high computational expense. This study aims to overcome the challenges brought by small and imbalanced data and achieve fast and accurate ACL tear classification based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the knee. We propose a lightweight attentive graph neural network (GNN) with a conditional random field (CRF), named the ACGNN, to classify ACL ruptures in knee MR images. A metric-based meta-learning strategy is introduced to conduct independent testing through multiple node classification tasks. We design a lightweight feature embedding network using a feature-based knowledge distillation method to extract features from the given images. Then, GNN layers are used to find the dependencies between samples and complete the classification process. The CRF is incorporated into each GNN layer to refine the affinities. To mitigate oversmoothing and overfitting issues, we apply self-boosting attention, node attention, and memory attention for graph initialization, node updating, and correlation across graph layers, respectively. Experiments demonstrated that our model provided excellent performance on both oblique coronal data and sagittal data with accuracies of 92.94% and 91.92%, respectively. Notably, our proposed method exhibited comparable performance to that of orthopedic surgeons during an internal clinical validation. This work shows the potential of our method to advance ACL diagnosis and facilitates the development of computer-aided diagnosis methods for use in clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Accurately and quickly identifying the types of natural and unnatural earthquake events is the basic premise of monitoring, prediction, early warning, and other study in the field of seismology, which is of great significance to the prevention, evaluation, emergency rescue, and other work of earthquake disasters. Convolutional neural network model is a representative artificial intelligence deep learning algorithm, which has been widely used in computer vision, natural language processing, object type identification, and other fields in recent years. In this study, AlexNet convolutional neural network model is selected to study the type identification of 1539 earthquake event waveform records in and around Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China. Earthquake event waveform records contain three types: natural earthquake, explosion, and collapse, in which both explosion and collapse are unnatural earthquakes. MATLAB software is used to build the training module and test module for AlexNet convolutional neural network model, and the earthquake event waveform record is transformed into an image format file of 224 times 224 pixels as input parameters. Finally, AlexNet convolutional neural network model has the ability of automatic identification of earthquake event types. The results of this study show that the identification accuracy of earthquake event type in training module is 99.97%, the average value of loss function is 0.001, the identification accuracy of earthquake event type in test set is 98.51%, and the average value of loss function is 0.059. After training and testing, 60 different types of earthquake event waveform records were randomly selected, and AlexNet convolutional neural network model was used to identify them automatically. The automatic identification accuracy of natural earthquakes, explosions, and collapses was 90%, 80%, and 85%, respectively. After training AlexNet convolutional neural network model with earthquake event waveform records, it can have accurate and fast automatic identification ability. The accuracy of automatic identification is comparable to that of professional seismic workers, and the time of automatic identification is greatly reduced compared with that of professional seismic workers. This study can provide an implementation idea of deep learning based on artificial intelligence for the identification of earthquake event types and make contributions to the cause of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction. The proliferation of spam in China has a negative impact on internet users' experiences online. Existing methods for detecting spam are primarily based on machine learning. However, it has been discovered that these methods are susceptible to adversarial textual spam that has frequently been imperceptibly modified by spammers. Spammers continually modify their strategies to circumvent spam detection systems. Text with Chinese homophonic substitution may be easily understood by users according to its context. Currently, spammers widely use homophonic substitution to break down spam identification systems on the internet. To address these issues, we propose a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (BiGRU)–Text Convolutional Neural Network (TextCNN) hybrid model with joint embedding for detecting Chinese spam. Our model effectively uses phonetic information and combines the advantages of parameter sharing from TextCNN with long-term memory from BiGRU. The experimental results on real-world datasets show that our model resists homophone noise to some extent and outperforms mainstream deep learning models. We also demonstrate the generality of joint textual and phonetic embedding, which is applicable to other deep learning networks in Chinese spam detection tasks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The integration of Deep Neural Networks (DNN) with Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies has opened new avenues in financial market prediction, particularly through the utilization of textual information. This study represents a significant advancement, which offers two primary contributions to stock trend prediction: (i) the exploitation of textual data (news, comments, microblogs) using advanced DNN architectures, enhancing market information utilization; (ii) significant improvement of the accuracy of predicting the direction of stock volatility by integrating textual and neural network technologies. Meanwhile, we have crawled, filtered, and constructed a large-scale microblog dataset. This dataset includes approximately 114,992 microblog textual data from 40 Science and Technology Innovation Board (STIB) companies in China during 2021. We conducted a comprehensive analysis using various DNN techniques, including Feedback Neural Networks (FNN), Supervised Contrastive Learning (SCL), Cross Entropy (CE), and Dual Contrastive Learning (DualCL), in conjunction with bag of words models, BERT, and Roberta compilers. Our findings reveal that the SCL method, when combined with microblog data, significantly increases prediction accuracy, particularly during the COVID-19 period. Furthermore, we discovered that using a cross-stock dataset enhances the accuracy of all prediction methods, and random allocation of microblog data leads to better results than sequential allocation. Additionally, we compared the efficacy of traditional models like the CAPM, three-factor, and five-factor models against neural network-based methods. Our results suggest a notable superiority of the SCL method in increasing prediction accuracy. Finally, applying our findings to real-world trading strategies, we demonstrated the practical advantages of using the SCL method in trading, evidenced by significant improvements across all performance indicators. At present, the process of security issuance in China has changed from examination and approval system to approval system. With the increasing stock that enters the capital market through the IPO, establishing an effective financial risk monitoring and control system of listed companies has great practical significance and application value. In the perspective of big data, this paper constructs a new practical financial early warning integration model. A total of 32,283 financial statements of 3,025 listed companies are collected from 2000 to 2017. First, this paper collected and built a financial crisis prediction database: a total of 32,283 financial statements of 3,025 listed companies occurred from year 2000 to 2017 and corresponding financial indicators including 6 primary indicators and 25 secondary indicators are collected. Next, the financial crisis model based on financial indicators is proposed and trained by the classic machine learning method such as random forest and gradient boosting decision tree. And then, through natural language processing and deep learning technology, this paper also builds a financial crisis prediction model based on financial statement text. Finally, an ensemble model is proposed and its performances are evaluated; the results indicate that the proposed ensemble model performed the best and significantly outperforms other benchmark methods for financial crisis prediction and identification, indicating that it can be employed as an intelligent identification system to enhance identification accuracy for early warning and identification of financial crisis of listed companies in China stock marketing.
