Aiming at the problem that the cement production process is inherently affected by uncertainty, time delay, and strong coupling among variables, this paper proposed a novel soft sensor of free calcium oxide in a cement clinker. The model utilizes a dual-parallel integrated structure with an optimized integration of one-dimensional convolutional neural networks, long and short-term memory networks, graphical neural networks, and extreme gradient boosting. The proposed model can mitigate the risks associated with overfitting while incorporating the strengths of each individual model and excels in extracting both local and global features as well as temporal and spatial characteristics from the original time series data, ensuring its stability. The experimental results demonstrate that this dual-parallel integrated model exhibits superior robustness, predictive accuracy, and generalization capabilities when compared to single models or enhancements made to other deep learning algorithms. The surface properties of oxidic supports and their interaction with the supported metals play critical roles in governing the catalytic activities of oxide‐supported metal catalysts. When metals are supported on reducible oxides, dynamic surface reconstruction phenomena, including strong metal–support interaction (SMSI) and oxygen vacancy formation, complicate the determination of the structural–functional relationship at the active sites. Here, we performed a systematic investigation of the dynamic behavior of Au nanocatalysts supported on flame‐synthesized TiO2, which takes predominantly a rutile phase, using CO oxidation above room temperature as a probe reaction. Our analysis conclusively elucidated a negative correlation between the catalytic activity of Au/TiO2 and the oxygen vacancy at the Au/TiO2 interface. Although the reversible formation and retracting of SMSI overlayers have been ubiquitously observed on Au/TiO2 samples, the catalytic consequence of SMSI remains inconclusive. Density functional theory suggests that the electron transfer from TiO2 to Au is correlated to the presence of the interfacial oxygen vacancies, retarding the catalytic activation of CO oxidation. Swarm intelligence optimization algorithm has been proved to perform well in the field of parameter optimization. In order to further improve the performance of intelligent optimization algorithm, this paper proposes an improved and adaptive tunicate swarm algorithm (IMATSA) based on tunicate swarm algorithm (TSA). IMATSA improves TSA in the following four aspects: population diversity, local search convergence speed, jumping out of local optimal position, and balancing global and local search. Firstly, IMATSA adopts Tent map and quadratic interpolation to initialize population and enhance the diversity. Secondly, IMATSA uses Golden-Sine algorithm to accelerate the convergence of local search. Thirdly, in the process of global development, IMATSA adopts Levy flight and the improved Gauss disturbance method to adaptively improves and coordinates the ability of global development and local search. Then, this paper verifies the performance of IMATSA based on 14 benchmark functions experiment, ablation experiment, parameter optimization experiments of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT), Wilcoxon signed rank test and image multi-threshold segmentation experiment with the performance metrics are convergence speed, convergence value, significance level P-value, Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Standard Deviation (STD). Experimental results show that IMATSA performs better in three kinds of benchmark functions; each component of IMATSA has a positive effect on the performance; IMATSA performs better in parameter optimization experiments of SVM experiment and GBDT; there is significant difference between IMATSA and other algorithms by Wilcoxon signed rank test; in image segmentation, the performance is directly proportional to the number of thresholds, and compared with other algorithms, IMATSA has better comprehensive performance. The number of wheat ears per unit area is crucial for assessing wheat yield, but automated wheat ear counting still faces significant challenges due to factors like lighting, orientation, and density variations. Departing from most static image analysis methodologies, this study introduces Wheat-FasterYOLO, an efficient real-time model designed to detect, track, and count wheat ears in video sequences. This model uses FasterNet as its foundational feature extraction network, significantly reducing the model's parameter count and improving the model's inference speed. We also incorporate deformable convolutions and dynamic sparse attention into the feature extraction network to enhance its ability to capture wheat ear features while reducing the effects of intricate environmental conditions. To address information loss during up-sampling and strengthen the model's capacity to extract wheat ear features across varying feature map scales, we integrate a path aggregation network (PAN) with the content-aware reassembly of features (CARAFE) up-sampling operator. Furthermore, the incorporation of the Kalman filter-based target-tracking algorithm, Observation-centric SORT (OC-SORT), enables real-time tracking and counting of wheat ears within expansive field settings. Experimental results demonstrate that Wheat-FasterYOLO achieves a mean average precision (mAP) score of 94.01% with a small memory usage of 2.87MB, surpassing popular detectors such as YOLOX and YOLOv7-Tiny. With the integration of OC-SORT, the composite higher order tracking accuracy (HOTA) and counting accuracy reached 60.52% and 91.88%, respectively, while maintaining a frame rate of 92 frames per second (FPS). Trace amounts of mycotoxins in food matrices have caused a very serious problem of food safety and have attracted widespread attention. Developing accurate, sensitive, rapid mycotoxin detection and control strategies adapted to the complex matrices of food is crucial for in safeguarding public health. With the continuous development of nanotechnology and materials science, various nanoscale materials have been developed for the purification of complex food matrices or for providing response signals to achieve the accurate and rapid detection of various mycotoxins in food products. This article reviews and summarizes recent research (from 2018 to 2023) on new strategies and methods for the accurate or rapid detection of mold toxins in food samples using nanoscale materials. It places particular emphasis on outlining the characteristics of various nanoscale or nanostructural materials and their roles in the process of detecting mycotoxins. The aim of this paper is to promote the in-depth research and application of various nanoscale or structured materials and to provide guidance and reference for the development of strategies for the detection and control of mycotoxin contamination in complex matrices of food. Summary: Recently, a new intelligent algorithm called animal migration optimization (AMO) is proposed. The AMO algorithm, which is inspired by the behavior of animal migration, exhibits good performance on a series of benchmark functions whose dimensionality is less than or equal to 30. However, its performance deteriorates evidently when the dimensionality is more than 30. To overcome this drawback, we proposed an improved AMO (IAMO) with interactive learning mechanism in this article. First, an interactive learning mechanism is designed to improve the intelligence of AMO. During the the search process, individuals learn from each other by the exchange of information, and the search mode is adjusted dynamically. Second, a refined search method is adopted to enhance the search ability of AMO. Individuals will search around the current solutions in order to improve the quality of solutions. Third, a birth‐and‐death strategy is introduced to avoid local optimum. In addition, the property convergence of IAMO is analyzed theoretically. The proposed algorithm is validated on several standard benchmark functions whose dimensionality is 50, 100, and 150, respectively. In order to improve the accuracy and performance of traditional image threshold segmentation algorithm, this paper proposes a multithreshold segmentation method named improved Harris hawk optimization (IMHHO). Firstly, IMHHO adopts Tent map and elite opposition-based learning to initialize population and enhance the diversity. Secondly, IMHHO uses quadratic interpolation to generate new individuals and enhance the local search ability. Finally, IMHHO adopts improved Gaussian disturbance method to disturb optimal solution, which coordinates the local and global search ability. Then, the performance of IMHHO is tested based on 14 benchmark functions. In image segmentation, different algorithms are tested to compare the comprehensive performance based on Otsu and Renyi entropy. Experiments show that IMHHO performs better in the three kinds of benchmark functions; the segmentation effect is directly proportional to the number of thresholds; compared with other algorithms, IMHHO has better comprehensive performance. Summary: Rice blast and bacterial blight represent two of major diseases having devastating impact on the yield of rice in most rice‐growing countries. Developments of resistant cultivars are the most economic and effective strategy to control these diseases. Here, we used CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated gene editing to rapidly install mutations in three known broad‐spectrum blast‐resistant genes, Bsr‐d1, Pi21 and ERF922, in an indica thermosensitive genic male sterile (TGMS) rice line Longke638S (LK638S). We obtained transgene‐free homozygous single or triple mutants in T1 generations. While all single and triple mutants showed increased resistance to rice blast compared with wild type, the erf922 mutants displayed the strongest blast resistance similar with triple mutants. Surprisingly, we found that Pi21 or ERF922 single mutants conferred enhanced resistance to most of tested bacterial blight. Both resistances in mutants were attribute to the up‐regulation of SA‐ and JA‐pathway associated genes. Moreover, phenotypic analysis of these single mutants in paddy fields revealed that there were no trade‐offs between resistances and main agricultural traits. Intumescent fire-retardants (IFR) are widely applied in fire protection coatings of steel and wooden structures. The addition of inorganic fillers, such as layered ionic clays, can improve the fireproof performance of IFR coatings. However, a fundamental insight of how these filler materials synergistically interact with the IFR materials remains elusive. In this study, we address this fundamental knowledge gap by systematically investigating the synergy between the IFR fire protection coatings and the CaAlCO 3 -layer double hydroxide (LDH) or montmorillonite (MMT) fillers, which render substantially longer fire resistance (>20 min), reduced specific extinction area (by 54.7 and 44.1 m2 kg−2, respectively), and reduced heat release (by 0.9 and 0.7 MJ m−2, respectively). Combining experimental results and density functional theory calculations, we show for the first time that the superior fireproof performance of the MMT-IFR fire coating originates from the chemical modifications of the char layer by Si-doping. The chemical stabilisation of the silicon- and nitrogen-doped graphene (Si–N-G) structures improves the oxidation resistance of the char layer. Additionally, the formation of the Si–N-G structures with limited lattice deformation stabilised the porous morphology of the char layer, thereby promoting its heat-shielding performance. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an effective noninvasive therapeutic strategy that can convert oxygen to highly cytotoxic singlet oxygen (1O 2) through the co-localization of excitation light and photosensitizers. However, compromised by the hypoxic tumor microenvironment, the therapeutic efficacy of PDT is reduced seriously. Herein, to overcome tumor-associated hypoxia, and further achieve tumor-targeted synergistic chemotherapy/PDT/photothermal therapy (PTT), we have constructed a biodegradable oxygen-producing nanoplatform (named Ini@PM-HP), which was composed of the porous metal-organic framework (PCN-224(Mn)), the poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor (Iniparib), and the polydopamine-modified hyaluronic acid (HA-PDA). Since HA can specifically bind to the overexpressed HA receptors (cluster determinant 44, CD44) on tumor cell, Ini@PM-HP prefers to accumulate at the tumor site once injected intravenously. Then iniparib can be released in tumor environment (TME), thereby dysfunctioning DNA damage repair and promoting cell apoptosis. At the same time, the chelating of Mn and tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (Mn-TCPP) can generate O 2 in situ by reacting with endogenous H 2 O 2 , relieving the hypoxic TME and achieving enhanced PDT. Moreover, owing to the high photothermal conversion efficiency of PDA, PTT can be driven by the 808 nm laser irradiation. As systematically demonstrated in vitro and in vivo , this nanotherapeutic approach enables the combined therapy with great inhibition on tumor. Overall, the as-prepared nanoplatform provide a promising strategy to overcome tumor-associated hypoxia, and shows great potential for combination tumor therapy. A delicately designed biodegradable oxygen-producing nanoplatform Ini@PM-HP is constructed to achieve combination therapy of solid tumors. Hybrid rice, as one of the most successful crops exploiting heterosis, has greatly contributed to global food security. Due to its high‐yield potential, approximately half of the rice‐growing area in China is planted with hybrid rice varieties. However, the extreme vulnerability of hybrid rice to various diseases and poor grain quality pose great challenges to rice breeders. Here, we report the development of five new restorer lines pyramiding the broad‐spectrum blast resistance gene Pigm and low/intermediate amylose content‐associated gene Wxb by marker‐assisted and phenotypic selection. All these new restorer lines showed enhanced blast resistance in the disease nursery compared with the original restorer lines and had low‐to‐intermediate apparent amylose contents, ranging from 11.3% to 14.2%. Genetic background analysis based on next‐generation sequencing indicated that the proportion of Gumei 4 (donor of Pigm) genome in the five new restorer lines ranged from 9.89% to 21.69%. Eight of their derived hybrid combinations, which exhibited better grain quality and higher levels of blast resistance, have been certificated for commercial release in different ecological regions of China. Among them, Jing‐Liang‐You 3189, Yue‐Liang‐You 3189, Jing‐Liang‐You 1074 and Long‐Liang‐You 3188 meet the national standards for superior‐quality rice in China. These results confirmed the success of developing elite restorer lines through marker‐assisted and phenotypic selection, and these new restorer lines have great potential in developing more elite hybrid rice combinations. Based on a synergistic digestion method of ultraviolet combined with ozone (UV/O3), this article investigates the reaction characteristics of nitrogen-containing compounds (N-compounds) in water and the influence of ions on digestion efficiency. In this respect, a novel and efficient AOPs-based dual-environmental digestion method for the determination of total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) in waters with complex components is proposed, in the hopes of improving the detection efficiency and accuracy of total nitrogen via online monitoring. The results show that inorganic and organic N-compounds have higher conversion rates in alkaline and acidic conditions, respectively. Meanwhile, the experimental results on the influence of Cl−, CO32−, and HCO3− on the digestion process indicate that Cl− can convert to radical reactive halogen species (RHS) in order to promote digestion efficiency, but CO32− and HCO3− cause a cyclic reaction consuming numerous •OH, weakening the digestion efficiency. Ultimately, to verify the effectiveness of this novel digestion method, total dissolved nitrogen samples containing ammonium chloride, urea, and glycine in different proportions were digested under the optimal conditions: flow rate, 0.6 L/min; reaction temperature, 40 °C; pH in acidic conditions, 2; digestion time in acidic condition, 10 min; pH in alkaline conditions, 11; digestion time in alkaline conditions, 10 min. The conversion rate (CR) of samples varied from 93.23% to 98.64%; the mean CR was greater than 95.30%. To strengthen the antitumor efficacy and avoid toxicity to normal cells of cisplatin and triptolide, herein, an acid and glutathione (GSH) dual-controlled nanoplatform for enhanced cancer treatment through the synergy of both "1+1" apoptosis and "1+1" ferroptosis is designed. Remarkably, ZIF8 in response to tumor microenvironment enhances drug targeting and protects drugs from premature degradation. Meanwhile, the Pt IV  center can be easily reduced to cisplatin because of the large amount of GSH, thus liberating the triptolide as the coordinated ligand. The released cisplatin and hemin in turn boost the tumor cell "1+1" apoptosis through chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy, respectively. Furthermore, GSH reduction through Pt IV  weakens the activation of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) effectively. The released triptolide can inhibit the expressions of GSH by regulating nuclear factor E2 related factor 2 (Nrf2), further promoting membrane lipid peroxidation, thus "1+1" ferroptosis can be achieved. Both in vitro and in vivo results demonstrate that the nanosystem can not only perform superior specificity and therapeutic outcomes but also reduce the toxicity to normal cells/tissues of cisplatin and triptolide effectively. Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) are among the most promising candidates for next-generation energy-storage devices. However, the large voltage polarisation and infamous dendrite growth hinder the practical application of AZIBs owing to their complex interfacial electrochemical environment. In this study, a hydrophobic zinc chelate-capped nano-silver (HZC-Ag) dual interphase is fabricated on the zinc anode surface using an emulsion-replacement strategy. The multifunctional HZC-Ag layer remodels the local electrochemical environment by facilitating the pre-enrichment and de-solvation of zinc ions and inducing homogeneous zinc nucleation, thus resulting in reversible dendrite-free zinc anodes. The zinc deposition mechanism on the HZC-Ag interphase is elucidated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations, dual-field simulations, and in situ synchrotron X-ray radiation imaging. The HZC-Ag@Zn anode exhibited superior dendrite-free zinc stripping/plating performance and an excellent lifespan of >2000 h with ultra-low polarisation of ≈17 mV at 0.5 mA cm -2 . Full cells coupled with a MnO 2 cathode showed significant self-discharge inhibition, excellent rate performance, and improved cycling stability for >1000 cycles. Doxorubicin (DOX) is a potent cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent limited in clinical application owing to its cumulative and irreversible cardiotoxicity. Circ_0001312 is highly expressed in patients with heart failure. However, it is still unclear whether circ_0001312 plays any roles in DOX-induced cardiotoxicity.Human AC16 cardiomyocytes in functional group were stimulated with DOX. The levels of genes and proteins were detected by qRT-PCR and western blotting. The proliferation, apoptosis, as well as inflammatory and oxidative injury in cardiomyocytes were investigated. Dual-luciferase reporter, RNA immunoprecipitation, and pull-down assays were utilized to confirm the binding between miR-409-3p and circ_0001312 or HMGB1 (high-mobility group box 1). Exosomes were isolated by using the commercial kit and identified by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and nanoparticle-tracking analysis (NTA).DOX impaired cardiomyocyte proliferation and induced apoptotic, inflammatory, and oxidative injury in cells. Furthermore, it promoted circ_0001312 expression, and the knockdown of circ_0001312 could reverse DOX-evoked cardiomyocyte injury. In terms of mechanics, circ_0001312 bound competitively to miR-409-3p to up-regulate HMGB1, which was a target of miR-409-3p. DOX decreased the miR-409-3p but increased the HMGB1 expression in cardiomyocytes. Functionally, miR-409-3p inhibition attenuated the protective action of circ_0001312 silencing on cardiomyocytes under DOX treatment. Moreover, miR-409-3p could abate DOX-evoked apoptosis, and inflammation and oxidative stress in cardiomyocytes, and these effects were counteracted by HMGB1 overexpression. In addition, circ_0001312 was secreted by exosomes and could be transmitted via exosomes.Circ_0001312 reversed the cytotoxic effects mediated by DOX on cardiomyocytes via the miR-409-3p/HMGB1 axis. Besides, it was released to the extracellular space by exosomes.

Up to now, chemotherapy is still the main strategy for cancer treatment. However, the emergence of chemo-resistance and systemic side effects often seriously affects the treatment and prognosis. Herein, an intelligent nanoplatform based on dendritic mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles (DMON) is constructed. The encapsulated phase-change material, 1-tetradecanol (TD) can serve as a "doorkeeper" and enable the responsive release of drugs based on the temperature changes. Meanwhile, polyethylene glycol (PEG) is used to improve the dispersibility and biocompatibility. Cisplatin is chosen as the model of chemotherapy drug, which is co-loaded with indocyanine green (ICG) in DMON to produce DMON-PEG-cisplatin/ICG-TD (DPCIT). Exciting, the hyperthermia and reactive oxygen species induced by ICG under the NIR-laser irradiation will initiate a phase transition of TD to release cisplatin, thus leading a combined therapy (chemo/photothermal/photodynamic therapy). The results indicated that under laser irradiation, DPCIT can kill cancer cells and inhibit tumor growth efficiently. In addition, the designed nanoplatform reveals minimal systemic toxicity in vivo, in contrast, the distinct liver damage can be observed by the direct treatment of cisplatin. Background: Atrophic chronic gastritis (ACG) is a preneoplastic condition of gastric carcinoma. Numerous studies have shown anxiety and depression can affect gastrointestinal function, which may promote gastrointestinal disorders development and progression. Thus, we hypothesized that anxiety and depression may enhance the development and progression of ACG. In this study, we aimed to analyse risk factors for anxiety and depression in ACG patients and integrate these risk factors to construct an effective clinical prediction model., Methods: In total, 118 ACG patients were included from July 2021 to May 2022. Anxiety and depression were assessed utilizing the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) and Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Data were collected on demographic characteristics, lifestyle, and dietary habits. Risk factors for anxiety and depression were explored with univariate analysis and multivariate stepwise logistic regression, and risk prediction models were built., Results: Among 118 ACG patients, 36.4% had anxiety, 25.4% had depression, and 21.2% had both anxiety and depression. Poor sleep quality [odd ratio (OR) 4.32, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.60-11.65, P=0.004] was positively associated with risk of anxiety, while smoking (OR 0.15, 95% CI: 0.03-0.68, P=0.014) and weekly exercise time (OR 0.89, 95% CI: 0.79-0.99, P=0.037) were negatively associated with risk of anxiety. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was 80.3%, 95% CI: [0.722-0.885]. The sensitivity was 72.1%, and the specificity was 78.7%. Poor sleep quality (P<0.001, OR 23.89, 95% CI: 4.05-141.05), high salt diet (P=0.004, OR 6.94, 95% CI: 1.86-25.96), family history of tumours (P=0.020, OR 6.10, 95% CI: 1.33-27.93), and abdominal pain (P=0.018, OR 4.44, 95% CI: 1.29-15.23) were positively associated with the risk of depression, with an area under the ROC curve of 77.3%, 95% CI: 0.687-0.860. The sensitivity was 83.3%, and the specificity was 62.5%., Conclusions: Potential anxiety and depression in ACG patients can be identified early by referring to risk factors and protective factors. The prediction model could be used to detect anxiety and depression in ACG patients at their earliest stage and provide meaningful suggestions for ACG patients.

Integrating chemodynamic therapy (CDT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) into one nanoplatform can produce much more reactive oxygen species (ROS) for tumor therapy. Nevertheless, it is still a great challenge to selectively generate sufficient ROS in tumor regions. Meanwhile, CDT and PDT are restricted by insufficient H 2 O 2 content in the tumor as well as by the limited tumor tissue penetration of the light source. In this study, a smart pH/ROS-responsive nanoplatform, Fe 2+ @UCM-BBD, is rationally designed for tumor combination therapy. The acidic microenvironment can induce the pH-responsive release of doxorubicin (DOX), which can induce tumor apoptosis through DNA damage. Beyond that, DOX can promote the production of H 2 O 2 , providing sufficient materials for CDT. Of note, upconversion nanoparticles at the core can convert the 980 nm light to red and green light, which are used to activate Ce6 to produce singlet oxygen ( 1 O 2 ) and achieve upconversion luminescence imaging, respectively. Then, the ROS-responsive linker bis-(alkylthio)alkene is cleaved by 1 O 2 , resulting in the release of Fenton reagent (Fe 2+ ) to realize CDT. Taken together, Fe 2+ @UCM-BBD exhibits on-demand therapeutic reagent release capability, excellent biocompatibility, and remarkable tumor inhibition ability via synergistic chemo/photodynamic/chemodynamic combination therapy.

Plants fine-tune the growth-defense trade-off to survive when facing pathogens. Meanwhile, plant-associated microbes, such as the endophytes inside plant tissues, can benefit plant growth and stress resilience. However, the mechanisms for the beneficial microbes to increase stress resistance with little yield penalty in host plants remain poorly understood. In the present study, we report that endophytic Streptomyces hygroscopicus OsiSh-2 can form a sophisticated interaction with host rice, maintaining cellular homeostasis under pathogen-infection stress, and optimize plant growth and disease resistance in rice. Four-year field trials consistently showed that OsiSh-2 could boost host resistance to rice blast pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae while still maintaining a high yield. The integration of the proteomic, physiological, and transcriptional profiling analysis revealed that OsiSh-2 induced rice defense priming and controlled the expression of energy-consuming defense-related proteins, thus increasing the defense capability with the minimized costs of plant immunity. Meanwhile, OsiSh-2 improved the chloroplast development and optimally maintained the expression of proteins related to plant growth under pathogen stress, thus promoting the crop yield. Our results provided a representative example of an endophyte-mediated modulation of disease resistance and fitness in the host plant. The multilayer effects of OsiSh-2 implicate a promising future of using endophytic actinobacteria for disease control and crop yield promotion. IMPORTANCE Under disease stress, activation of defense response in plants often comes with the cost of a reduction in growth and yield, which is referred as the growth-defense trade-off. The microorganisms which can be recruited by plants to mitigate the growth-defense trade-off are of great value in crop breeding. Here, we reported a rice endophytic actinomycetes Streptomyces hygroscopicus OsiSh-2, which can improve host performances on resistance to rice blast while still sustaining high yield in the 4-year field trials. The proteomic, physiological, and transcriptional profiling data offer insights into the molecular basis underlying the balancing between defense and growth in OsiSh-2-rice symbiont. The findings provide an example for the endophyte-mediated modulation of growth-defense trade-offs in plants and indicated the promising application of endophytic actinobacterial strains in agriculture to breed "microbe-optimized crops."
