As a common vegetable variety, asparagus is rich in B vitamins, vitamin A, and trace elements such as folate, selenium, iron, manganese, and zinc. With the increasing market demand, China has become the world's largest cultivated area for asparagus production and product exportation. However, traditional asparagus grading mostly relies on manual visual judgment and needs a lot of manpower input to carry out the classification operation, which cannot meet the needs of large-scale production. To address the high labor cost and labor-intensive production process resulting from the large amount of manpower input and low accuracy of existing asparagus grading devices, this study proposed an improved asparagus grading system and method based on TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) objective evaluation and SVM (support vector machine) prediction. The key structure of classification device was analyzed first, the key components were designed, and the structural parameters were determined by theoretical calculation. Through analysis of the factors affecting asparagus quality, three key attributes were determined: length, diameter, and bruises, which were used as reference attributes to conduct experimental analysis. Then, the graded control groups were set up, combining the TOPSIS principle with weighting, and a score for each asparagus sample was determined. These scores were compared with those of a graded control group to derive the grade of each asparagus, and these subsets of the dataset were used as the training set and the test set, excluding the error caused by the subjectivity of the manual judgment. Based on a comparison of the accuracies of different machine learning models, the support vector machine (SVM) was determined to be the most accurate, and four SVM methods were used to evaluate the test set: linear SVM, quadratic SVM, cubic SVM, and medium Gaussian SVM. The test results showed that the grading device was feasible for asparagus. The bruises had a large influence on asparagus quality. The training accuracy of the medium Gaussian SVM method was high (96%), whereas its test accuracy was low (86.67%). The training accuracies and test accuracy of the quadratic and cubic SVM methods were 93.34%. The quadratic SVM and cubic SVM were demonstrated to have better generalization ability than the medium Gaussian SVM method for predicting unknown grades of asparagus and meeting the operational requirements of the asparagus grading. In this paper, a patch array antenna with wideband circular polarization and high gain is proposed by utilizing a hybrid metasurface (MS). A corner-cut slotted patch antenna was chosen as the source due to the possible generation of CP mode. The hybrid MS (HMS), consisting of a receiver MS (RMS) arranged in a 2 × 2 array of squared patches and a linear-to-circular polarization conversion (LCPC) MS surrounding it was then utilized as the superstrate driven by the source. The LCPC MS cell is a squared-corner-cut patch with a 45° oblique slot etched, which has the capability for wideband LCPC. The LCPC unit cell possesses wideband PC capabilities, as demonstrated by the surface current analysis and S-parameter simulations conducted using a Floquet–port setup. The LP EM wave radiated by the source antenna was initially received by the RMS, then converted to a CP wave as it passed through the LCPC MS, and ultimately propagated into space. To further enhance the LCPC properties, an improved HMS (IHMS) was then proposed with four cells cut at the corners, based on the original HMS design. To verify this design, both CMA and E-field were utilized to analyze the three MSs, indicating that the IHMS possessed a wideband LCPC capability compared to the other two MSs. The proposed antenna was then arranged in a 2 × 2 array with sequential rotation to further enhance its properties. As demonstrated by the measurements, the array antenna achieved an S11 bandwidth of 60.5%, a 3 dB AR bandwidth of 2.85 GHz, and a peak gain of 15.1 dBic, all while maintaining a low profile of only 0.09λ0. Automatic Container Code Recognition (ACCR) is critical for enhancing the efficiency of container terminals. However, existing ACCR methods frequently fail to achieve satisfactory performance in complex environments at port gates. In this paper, we propose an approach for accurate, fast, and compact container code recognition by utilizing YOLOv4 for container region localization and Deeplabv3+ for character recognition. To enhance the recognition speed and accuracy of YOLOv4 and Deeplabv3+, and to facilitate their deployment at gate entrances, we introduce several improvements. First, we optimize the feature-extraction process of YOLOv4 and Deeplabv3+ to reduce their computational complexity. Second, we enhance the multi-scale recognition and loss functions of YOLOv4 to improve the accuracy and speed of container region localization. Furthermore, we adjust the dilated convolution rates of the ASPP module in Deeplabv3+. Finally, we replace two upsampling structures in the decoder of Deeplabv3+ with transposed convolution upsampling and sub-pixel convolution upsampling. Experimental results on our custom dataset demonstrate that our proposed method, C-YOLOv4, achieves a container region localization accuracy of 99.76% at a speed of 56.7 frames per second (FPS), while C-Deeplabv3+ achieves an average pixel classification accuracy (MPA) of 99.88% and an FPS of 11.4. The overall recognition success rate and recognition speed of our approach are 99.51% and 2.3 ms per frame, respectively. Acidified CO2 fracturing is a viable method for increasing production in deep, tight sandstone reservoirs. However, the potential mechanism of changes in pore structure and mechanical properties of sandstone under acidified CO2 supercritical composite is not clear. Understanding this mechanism is important for the study of crack initiation and extension in tight sandstone reservoirs. This study utilizes sandstone samples from the Xujiahe Formation reservoir in Rongchang District as experimental specimens. The primary focus is to analyze the changes in pore structure and mechanical properties of these samples after acidification–supercritical CO2 composite action. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and uniaxial compression tests are employed as the main investigative techniques. The results show that there was a physicochemical synergy between the acidification–supercritical CO2 composite effect; the crack initial stress, damage stress, and peak stress of the sandstone after 16 MPa supercritical CO2 acidification treatment were reduced by 20%, 49.5%, and 49.8%, respectively; the crack volumetric strain accelerated and the sandstone evolved from brittle to ductile damage; and the larger pore space and microcracks of the sandstone increased significantly after the treatment, which can be attributed to the gradual dissolution of intergranular cement leading to the formation of new pores connected to the existing pore network. Simple Summary: This study investigates the functional adaptation and underlying molecular mechanisms of hemoglobins (Hbs) in the two species of Eremias lizards dwelling on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. By measuring O2 equilibrium curves of purified Hbs at different pH and temperature in the absence and presence of ATP and/or Cl−, the study found that the high-altitude populations of the two species of Eremias lizards exhibit convergent high Hb-O2 affinity compared to the respective lowland counterparts while demonstrating distinct ATP-mediated allosteric regulation. Hbs of the highland E. argus showed high ATP sensitivity and ATP-dependent strong Bohr effect compared to E. multiocellata. The underlying mechanisms of these functional variations may be attributed to the varying β2/β1 globin ratios, combined with substitutions on the β2-type globin, as suggested by Hb isoform identification and structural analysis of tetrameric Hbs. In addition, Hbs of these Eremias lizards have similarly low temperature sensitivities and relatively high Bohr effects at lower temperatures, which could minimize the impact of temperature fluctuations on Hb-O2 affinity and facilitate the release of O2 in the cold extremities at low temperatures. The functional adaptation and underlying molecular mechanisms of hemoglobins (Hbs) have primarily concentrated on mammals and birds, with few reports on reptiles. This study aimed to investigate the convergent and species-specific high-altitude adaptation mechanisms of Hbs in two Eremias lizards from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Hbs of high-altitude E. argus and E. multiocellata were characterized by significantly high overall and intrinsic Hb-O2 affinity compared to their low-altitude populations. Despite the similarly low Cl− sensitivities, the Hbs of high-altitude E. argus exhibited higher ATP sensitivity and ATP-dependent Bohr effects than that of E. multiocellata, which could facilitate O2 unloading in respiring tissues. Eremias lizards Hbs exhibited similarly low temperature sensitivities and relatively high Bohr effects at lower temperatures, which could help to stably deliver and release O2 to cold extremities at low temperatures. The oxygenation properties of Hbs in high-altitude populations might be attributed to varying ratios of β2/β1 globin and substitutions on the β2-type globin. Notably, the Asn12Ala in lowland E. argus could cause localized destabilization of the E-helix in the tetrameric Hb by elimination of hydrogen bonds, thereby resulting in its lowest O2 affinity. Liquid hydrogen is one of the high-quality energy carriers, but a large leak of liquid hydrogen can pose significant safety risks. Understanding its diffusion law after accidental leakage is an important issue for the safe utilization of hydrogen energy. In this paper, a series of open-space large-volume liquid hydrogen release experiments are performed to observe the evolution of visible clouds during the release, and an array of hydrogen concentration sensors is set up to monitor the fluctuation in hydrogen concentration at different locations. Based on the experimental conditions, the diffusion of hydrogen clouds in the atmosphere under different release hole diameters and different ground materials is compared. The results show that with the release of liquid hydrogen, the white visible cloud formed by air condensation or solidification is generated rapidly and spread widely, and the visible cloud is most obvious near the ground. With the termination of liquid hydrogen release, solid air is deposited on the ground, and the visible clouds gradually shrink from the far field to the release source. Hydrogen concentration fluctuations in the far field in the case of the cobblestone ground are more dependent on spontaneous diffusion by the hydrogen concentration gradient. In addition, compared with the concrete ground, the cobblestone ground has greater resistance to liquid hydrogen extension; the diffusion of hydrogen clouds to the far field lags. The rapid increase stage of hydrogen concentration at N8 in Test 7 lags about 3 s behind N12 in Test 6, N3 lags about 7.5 s behind N1, and N16 lags about 8.25 s behind N14. The near-source space is prone to high-concentration hydrogen clouds. The duration of the high-concentration hydrogen cloud at N12 is about 15 s, which is twice as long as the duration at N8, increasing the safety risk of the near-source space. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Biodegradable vascular stents (BVS) are deemed as great potential alternatives for overcoming the inherent limitations of permanent metallic stents in the treatment of coronary artery diseases. The current study aimed to comprehensively compare the mechanical behaviors of four poly(lactic acid) (PLA) BVS designs with varying geometries via numerical methods and to clarify the optimal BVS selection. Four PLA BVS (i.e., Absorb, DESolve, Igaki-Tamai, and Fantom) were first constructed. A degradation model was refined by simply including the fatigue effect induced by pulsatile blood pressures, and an explicit solver was employed to simulate the crimping and degradation behaviors of the four PLA BVS. The degradation dynamics here were characterized by four indices. The results indicated that the stent designs affected crimping and degradation behaviors. Compared to the other three stents, the DESolve stent had the greatest radial stiffness in the crimping simulation and the best diameter maintenance ability despite its faster degradation; moreover, the stent was considered to perform better according to a pilot scoring system. The current work provides a theoretical method for studying and understanding the degradation dynamics of the PLA BVS, and it could be helpful for the design of next-generation BVS. (1) Background: Diabetes is a common metabolic disease that seriously endangers human health. In the present study, we investigated the therapeutic effects of the active ingredient Eleutheroside B (EB) from the traditional Chinese medicine Eleutheroside on diabetes mellitus in a zebrafish model. Concomitant hepatic injury was also analysed, along with the study of possible molecular mechanisms using metabolomics technology. This work should provide some theoretical references for future experimental studies. (2) Methods: A zebrafish diabetes model was constructed by soaking in a 1.75% glucose solution and feeding a high-fat diet. The intervention drug groups were metformin (100 μg∙mL−1) and EB (50, 100, and 150 μg∙mL−1) via water-soluble exposure for 30 days. Glucose, TG, TC, LDL-C, and HDL-C were evaluated in different treatment groups. GLUT4 protein expression was also evaluated in each group, and liver injury was observed by HE staining. Metabolomics techniques were used to investigate the mechanism by which EB regulates endogenous markers and metabolic pathways during the development of diabetes. (3) Results: All EB treatment groups in diabetic zebrafish showed significantly reduced body mass index (BMI) and improved blood glucose and lipid profiles. EB was found to upregulate GLUT4 protein expression and ameliorate the liver injury caused by diabetes. Metabolomics studies showed that EB causes changes in the metabolic profile of diabetic zebrafish. These were related to the regulation of purine metabolism, cytochrome P450, caffeine metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, the mTOR signalling pathway, insulin resistance, and glycerophospholipid metabolism. (4) Conclusions: EB has a hypoglycaemic effect in diabetic zebrafish as well as significantly improving disorders of glycolipid metabolism. Recently, the application of cryogenic hoses in the field of cryogenic media has become a hot topic, especially in the industry of offshore liquefied natural gas and aerospace field. However, the structure of cryogenic hoses is complex, and reasonable structural properties are required due to the harsh working conditions. There is still plenty of scope for further development to improve the performance in all aspects. In this paper, the current development status of cryogenic hoses for liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation is reviewed first, including the types, manufacturers, structural forms, performance, and key technical challenges. And then, the recent progress and prospect of cryogenic hoses for cryogenic liquid transportation (such as LNG and liquid oxygen) are summarized, including structure design, low-temperature resistant polymers, liquid oxygen compatible polymers, and leakage monitoring technologies. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the research development and application of cryogenic hoses. This paper presents a practical and straightforward control strategy for robotic manipulators with unknown dynamics to achieve prescribed tracking performance, which has implementation advantages compared with previous work. In particular, an improved extended state observer (ESO) synthesized with a continuously differentiable friction model and time-varying gains is presented to estimate system states and unknown dynamics. This ESO outperforms the conventional ones in dealing with friction mutations while avoiding peaking estimation values in the initial stage. By combining the prescribed performance function and the proposed ESO, an independent joint control scheme is proposed for a robotic manipulator to keep the tracking error within a predefined performance bound based only on position measurements. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by comparative simulation and experimental results on a six-degrees-of-freedom robotic manipulator with active disturbance rejection controller and PID methods. The census and management of hazard-bearing entities, along with the integrity of data quality, form crucial foundations for disaster risk assessment and zoning. By addressing the challenge of feature confusion, prevalent in single remotely sensed image recognition methods, this paper introduces a novel method, Spatially Constrained Deep Learning (SCDL), that combines deep learning with spatial constraint strategies for the extraction of disaster-bearing bodies, focusing on dams as a typical example. The methodology involves the creation of a dam dataset using a database of dams, followed by the training of YOLOv5, Varifocal Net, Faster R-CNN, and Cascade R-CNN models. These models are trained separately, and highly confidential dam location information is extracted through parameter thresholding. Furthermore, three spatial constraint strategies are employed to mitigate the impact of other factors, particularly confusing features, in the background region. To assess the method's applicability and efficiency, Qinghai Province serves as the experimental area, with dam images from the Google Earth Pro database used as validation samples. The experimental results demonstrate that the recognition accuracy of SCDL reaches 94.73%, effectively addressing interference from background factors. Notably, the proposed method identifies six dams not recorded in the GOODD database, while also detecting six dams in the database that were previously unrecorded. Additionally, four dams misdirected in the database are corrected, contributing to the enhancement and supplementation of the global dam geo-reference database and providing robust support for disaster risk assessment. In conclusion, leveraging open geographic data products, the comprehensive framework presented in this paper, encompassing deep learning target detection technology and spatial constraint strategies, enables more efficient and accurate intelligent retrieval of disaster-bearing bodies, specifically dams. Featured Application: The present study can be applied to the study of the influence of a Hall thruster plume on the spacecraft surface. This article aims to conduct an in-depth investigation into the environmental impact of Hall thruster plumes on spacecraft surface charging. The non-uniform plasma plume generated by Hall thrusters may trigger charging and discharging effects, making the assessment of surface charging risks crucial. Through numerical simulations using SPIS system, this study evaluates the surface charging characteristics of a complex spacecraft in orbit, simulating the effects of turning on and off the thrusters, as well as varying distances between the thrusters and the spacecraft. The simulation demonstrates that turning on the thrusters significantly affects spacecraft charging, reducing the potential difference between spacecraft surfaces from 3740 V to 19.2 V, effectively alleviating electrostatic discharge on the spacecraft surface. The closer the thruster is to the spacecraft, the more CEX ions are collected on the surface, influenced by the beam ions, resulting in a surface potential change of 1.3 V, with minor effects on surface potential but contributing to increased deposition contamination on the spacecraft surface. Regeneration has been considered as an ideal way for the post-treatment of waste FCC catalyst (ECat). In this work, the degeneration mechanism of ECat was firstly researched and attributed to the increasing of strong acid sites accessibility of ECat in contrast with fresh FCC catalyst by adsorption FTIR. Based on the proposed degeneration mechanism, ECat was successfully regenerated through suitable weakening for strong acid sites by boron modification. Characterization and evaluation results suggested that, the strong acid sites of regenerated ECat (R-ECat) were apparently decreased by boron modification which had significantly improve the heavy oil catalytic cracking performance of R-ECat. Because of the excellent performance, R-ECat in this work could successfully substitute for partial fresh FCC catalyst in FCC unit, which would provide a practicable way for the reutilization of ECat. China possesses abundant wild germplasm resources and a wide range of cultivated strains of Stropharia rugosoannulata. However, issues such as genetic diversity and unclear genetic relationships have had an impact on the classification and preservation of germplasm resources, the breeding of new varieties, and the promotion of superior strains. There is an urgent need for genetic diversity analysis and assessment of germplasm resources. In this study, we conducted whole-genome resequencing of 50 cultivated and wild strains collected from various regions across the country. After applying a series of filtering parameters, we obtained 888,536 high-quality Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markers. Using these SNP markers, we performed principal component analysis, population structure analysis, and phylogenetic clusters analysis on the 50 strains. Most cultivated strains exhibited high genetic similarity, while significant genetic diversity was observed among wild strains. Based on factors such as marker distribution throughout the entire genome and marker quality, we selected 358 core SNP markers to construct SNP fingerprints. Two-dimensional barcodes were generated for each strain to enable specific identification. Additionally, the mycelial growth rate of strains was evaluated on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) and substrate culture media. We also assessed their lignin degradation capability using guaiacol agar plates assay. It was observed that the mycelial growth rate on PDA and substrate culture medium exhibited a significant correlation with the diameter of the mycelial colony on guaiacol agar medium. Additionally, the correlation between the mycelial growth rate on the substrate medium and that on the guaiacol agar plate was stronger than that on PDA medium. This study provided molecular-level identification and assessment of germplasm resources. It clarified the genetic relationships among strains and the characteristics of mycelium growth-related agronomic traits of each strain. This research contributed to the enrichment and development of utilizable germplasm resources and breeding materials for S. rugosoannulata, offering a scientific basis for further research. Cellulose crystallinity is a crucial factor influencing stem strength and, consequently, wheat lodging. However, the genetic dissection of cellulose crystallinity is less reported due to the difficulty of its measurement. In this study, VIS/NIR spectra and cellulose crystallinity were measured for a wheat accession panel with diverse genetic backgrounds. We developed a reliable VIS/NIR model for cellulose crystallinity with a high determination coefficient (R2) (0.95) and residual prediction deviation (RPD) (4.04), enabling the rapid screening of wheat samples. A GWAS of the cellulose crystallinity in 326 wheat accessions revealed 14 significant SNPs and 13 QTLs. Two candidate genes, TraesCS4B03G0029800 and TraesCS5B03G1085500, were identified. In summary, this study establishes an efficient method for the measurement of cellulose crystallinity in wheat stems and provides a genetic basis for enhancing lodging resistance in wheat. Intelligentization is the development trend of the future automobile industry. Intelligentization requires that the dynamic control of the vehicle can complete the trajectory tracking according to the trajectory output of the decision planning the driving state of the vehicle and ensure the driving safety and stability of the vehicle. However, trajectory limit planning and harsh road conditions caused by emergencies will increase the difficulty of trajectory tracking and stability control of unmanned vehicles. In view of the above problems, this paper studies the trajectory tracking and stability control of distributed drive unmanned vehicles. This paper applies a hierarchical control framework. Firstly, in the upper controller, an adaptive prediction time linear quadratic regulator (APT LQR) path following algorithm is proposed to acquire the desired front-wheel-steering angle considering the dynamic stability performance of the tires. The lateral stability of the DDAUV is determined based on the phase plane, and the sliding surface, in the improved sliding mode control (SMC), is further dynamically adjusted to obtain the desired additional yaw moment for coordinating the path following and lateral stability. Then, in the lower controller, considering the slip and the working load of four tires, a comprehensive cost function is established to reasonably distribute the driving torque of four in-wheel motors (IWMs) for producing the desired additional yaw moment. Finally, the proposed control algorithm is verified by the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) experiment platform. The physical properties of Ti6Al4V powder affect the spreadability of the powder and uniformity of the powder bed, which had a great impact on the performance of built parts made by powder bed fusion technology. Micro-computed tomography is a well-established technique used to analyze the non-destructivity of the objects' interior. Ti6Al4V powders were scanned with micro-CT to show the internal and external information of all the particles. The morphology, particle size distribution, hollow particle ratio, density, inclusion, and specific surface area of the powder samples were quantitatively characterized, and the relationship of flowability with these physical properties was analyzed in this work. The research results of this article showed that micro-CT is an effective way to characterize these items, and can be developed as a standard method of powder physical properties in the future. Advancements in astronomical telescopes and cutting-edge technologies, including deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, have escalated demands and imposed stringent surface quality requirements on optical system components. Achieving near-ideal optical components requires ultra-smooth surfaces with sub-nanometer roughness, no sub-surface damage, minimal surface defects, low residual stresses, and intact lattice integrity. This necessity has driven the rapid development and diversification of ultra-smooth surface fabrication technologies. This paper summarizes recent advances in ultra-smooth surface processing technologies, categorized by their material removal mechanisms. A subsequent comparative analysis evaluates the roughness and polishing characteristics of ultra-smooth surfaces processed on various materials, including fused silica, monocrystalline silicon, silicon carbide, and sapphire. To maximize each process's advantages and achieve higher-quality surfaces, the paper discusses tailored processing methods and iterations for different materials. Finally, the paper anticipates future development trends in response to current challenges in ultra-smooth surface processing technology, providing a systematic reference for the study of the production of large-sized freeform surfaces. In this work, squeeze casting experiments of flywheel housing components with a large wall thickness difference and a complex shape were carried out with AlSi9Mg aluminum alloy. The defects, microstructures, and mechanical properties under different process parameters were investigated. Furthermore, the local pressurization process was applied to the thick-walled positions to force-feed the cast defects. The mechanical properties and microstructures at these positions were analyzed. The results showed that the surface quality of formed components was good and that local pressurization could effectively reduce the shrinkage cavity and shrinkage porosity in thick walls, but the scope and effect of forced feeding were limited. The optimum process parameters were a pouring temperature of 650 °C, a specific pressure of 48 MPa, a mold temperature of 220 °C, a local pressurization of 800 MPa, and pressure delay times of 15 s (side A) and 17 s (side B). The ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the formed component under validation experiments of the optimum process parameters were 201 MPa, 103 MPa, and 5.1%. Meanwhile, the fine grains of primary α-Al were mainly rosette and equiaxed grains, and the average grain size was about 40 μm. The microstructure of the eutectic silicon was acicular and was prone to segregation under pressure. According to profile morphology, the positions after pressurization were divided into a deformation zone, a direct action zone, and an indirect action zone. The coexistence of as-cast and plastic deformation microstructures was observed. A composite groove structure with high specific strength and light weight has great potential in industrial application, but few studies on this have been carried out due to the fact that it is difficult to fabricate by one of the existing methods. The purpose of this work was to propose a novel method combining 3D printing and filament winding to manufacture the groove structure and study the link between its mechanical strength needs and fabrication parameters. Specifically, filament winding and 3D printing were used to fabricate the cylinder part and complex ring slot part of the groove structure, which is difficult to fabricate by winding. The combining method took advantage of the winding's high efficiency and the printing's high forming degree of freedom. The specimen was taken from the structure and submitted to a short beam test to determine its interlaminar shear strength, whereas thermal tests were carried out to evaluate its mechanical performance under high temperature. The interlaminar shear strength reached 6.694 MPa at a fiber orientation of 90°, a heating temperature of 245 °C and a thickness of 0.5 mm. The SEM photo showed some voids and gaps and typical failure in the failed specimen. DMA and TGA were carried out to investigate the performance under high temperature, from which the storage modulus lost half to 120 °C. The application of fermented soybean meal (FSBM) is an effective strategy to alleviate the shortage of fish meal (FM) in aquaculture. However, an excessive substitution ratio often reduces fish growth and induces liver oxidative stress, while the mechanism remains poorly understood. Here, an 8-week feeding trial was conducted in largemouth bass (initial weight: 6.82 ± 0.09 g) to establish an oxidative stress model by replacing 50% of FM with FSBM (fermented by Bacillus subtilis). The results showed that FSBM substitution significantly reduced the growth performance of largemouth bass, including the weight gain rate and specific growth rate. Moreover, FSBM significantly reduced the contents of essential amino acids and total free amino acids in muscle, along with the mRNA expression of amino acids and small peptide transporters. Enzyme activity detection and liver sections showed that FSBM substitution caused liver oxidative stress, indicating the successful construction of an oxidative stress model. An integrated analysis of transcriptomic and metabolomic data revealed that FSBM substitution impaired glycine, serine and threonine metabolism, as well as glutathione metabolism. In addition, the ratio of reduced glutathione (GSH) to oxidized glutathione (GSSG) was decreased in the FSBM group, which may explain the mechanism of oxidative stress caused by FSBM substitution. Considering that glycine is an important component of glutathione synthesis, key genes involved in glycine metabolism (glya, gnmt and agxt) and dietary glycine supplementation should be valued to improve the availability of FSBM. Cap color is one of the most crucial commercial traits for oyster mushrooms, and dark-colored varieties are highly favored by consumers, yet they are relatively scarce on the market. There is an urgent need for the selection and breeding of dark oyster mushrooms. Previous studies identified PcTYR, a key gene that controls the cap color of Pleurotus cornucopiae, and four SNPs were identified based on a genome-level sequence comparison of the black and white gene pools for extreme traits in the segregating populations. In this study, we verified whether these SNPs were color-specific sites via specific primer design, PCR amplification, and enzyme digestion of the entire isolated population strains and developed CAPS/dCAPS markers for the early visual identification of cap color to assist material screening in cap color breeding. One CAPS marker, TYR-CAPS-3-2, was developed for identifying the cap color of oyster mushrooms. After digestion with the restriction endonuclease Mse I, the marker generated polymorphic bands that accurately and visually distinguished dark-colored (non-white) and white strains from the cap color-segregating population. Consequently, the application of this marker during the early growth stage of oyster mushrooms can facilitate molecular-marker-assisted selection, expediting the breeding process for dark-colored varieties. Situated on the northern bank of the Qiantang River estuary, the ancient seawall serves not only as a national cultural relic but also as an active agent in flood and tide prevention. This seawall features a trapezoidal cross-section and is constructed with layered stone blocks and a sticky rice mortar. To investigate the load-bearing and deformation attributes of this ancient structure, a scaled-down specimen with a ratio of 1:4 was created. Monotonic and cyclic vertical loadings were then applied to the wall's top surface. During these loading procedures, measurements of the loading force, seawall displacement, and front and side deformation fields were taken. Experimental findings reveal that the seawall tends to lean towards the soil-retaining side under vertical loading. After ten loading cycles, the vertical rigidity of the wall was reduced by 10%. Upon application of a uniformly distributed vertical load of 1.6 MPa at the top of the wall, significant cracks began to materialize in the blocks at the base of the seawall. When the loading at the top increased to 2 MPa, a vertical crack that cut through the mortar layer at the wall's center was observed. By comparing it to a three-dimensional finite element model, the load-bearing and deformation characteristics of the ancient seawall observed in the experiments were confirmed, which could contribute to the scientifically informed conservation and protection of the seawall. Stem rot caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum poses a significant threat to global agriculture, leading to substantial economic losses. To explore innovative integrated pest management strategies and elucidate the underlying mechanisms, this study examined the impact of nano-silicon on enhancing resistance to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in Brassica napus. Bacteriostatic assays revealed that nano-silicon effectively inhibited the mycelial growth of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in a dose-dependent manner. Field trials corroborated the utility of nano-silicon as a fertilizer, substantially bolstering resistance in the Brassica napus cultivar Xiangyou 420. Specifically, the disease index was reduced by 39–52% across three distinct geographical locations when compared to untreated controls. This heightened resistance was attributed to nano-silicon's role in promoting the accumulation of essential elements such as silicon (Si), potassium (K), and calcium (Ca), while concurrently reducing sodium (Na) absorption. Furthermore, nano-silicon was found to elevate the levels of soluble sugars and lignin, while reducing cellulose content in both leaves and stems. It also enhanced the activity levels of antioxidant enzymes. Transcriptomic analysis revealed 22,546 differentially expressed genes in Si-treated Brassica napus post-Sclerotinia inoculation, with the most pronounced transcriptional changes observed one day post-inoculation. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis identified a module comprising 45 hub genes that are implicated in signaling, transcriptional regulation, metabolism, and defense mechanisms. In summary, nano-silicon confers resistance to Brassica napus against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum by modulating biochemical defenses, enhancing antioxidative activities, and rapidly reprogramming key resistance-associated genes. These findings contribute to our mechanistic understanding of Si-mediated resistance against necrotrophic fungi and offer valuable insights for the development of stem-rot-resistant Brassica napus cultivars. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reliability of predictive models for higher heating values related to organic materials. A theoretical model was developed, which utilizes bond dissociation energies (BDEs) to establish correlations between elemental composition and calorific values. Our analysis indicates that the energy contribution of one mole of hydrogen atoms is approximately equal to −144.4 kJ mol−1. Further investigation reveals significant variations in the bond dissociation energies of carbon atoms within organic compounds, resulting in a range of energy outputs from −414.30 to −275.34 kJ mol−1 per mole of carbon atoms. The presence of oxygen atoms in organic compounds has a negative impact on the magnitude of combustion heat, with values ranging from 131.1 to 207.17 kJ mol−1. The combustion mechanism imposes certain constraints, leading to the equation HHVg = −31.34·[C] − 144.44·[H] + 10.57·[O] for organic compounds. Based on the parameter sensitivity analysis, the coefficient associated with carbon mass fraction exhibits a significantly greater impact on result prediction accuracy, demonstrating a sensitivity value of 92.65%. The results of further analysis indicate that empirical correlations involving the mass fractions of the elements N and S in lignocellulosic materials may be prone to over-fitting, with sensitivity indices of 1.59% and 0.016%, respectively. Doublecortin-like kinase 1 (DCLK1) is a prominent kinase involved in carcinogenesis, serving as a diagnostic marker for early cancer detection and prevention, as well as a target for cancer therapy. Extensive research efforts have been dedicated to understanding its role in cancer development and designing selective inhibitors. In our previous work, we successfully determined the crystal structure of DCLK1 while it was bound to its autoinhibitory domain (AID) at the active site. By analyzing this structure, we were able to uncover the intricate molecular mechanisms behind specific cancer-causing mutations in DCLK1. Utilizing molecular dynamics simulations, we discovered that these mutations disrupt the smooth assembly of the AID, particularly affecting the R2 helix, into the kinase domain (KD). This disruption leads to the exposure of the D533 residue of the DFG (Asp-Phe-Gly) motif in the KD, either through steric hindrance, the rearrangement of electrostatic interactions, or the disruption of local structures in the AID. With these molecular insights, we conducted a screening process to identify potential small-molecule inhibitors that could bind to DCLK1 through an alternative binding mode. To assess the binding affinity of these inhibitors to the KD of DCLK1, we performed calculations on their binding energy and conducted SPR experiments. Simple Summary: Soft fruit is an economically important global fruit crop. Drosophila suzukii is a significant pest of soft fruit, including grape bayberry. In China, Trichopria drosophilae is the dominant pupal parasitoid of D. suzukii. In order to control the population of D. suzukii more effectively and reduce the use of pesticides, researchers have investigated the potential role of T. drosophilae in the biological control of D. suzukii in China. In this paper, we investigated the functional response and control potential of T. drosophilae on D. suzukii pupae at different temperatures. Our aim was to expand the range of control applications for T. drosophilae. We investigated the functional response and interference effect of T. drosophilae and found that T. drosophilae showed good levels of parasitic ability on D. suzukii pupae in the laboratory environment. At temperatures of 23 °C to 35 °C, T. drosophilae exhibited a type II functional response on D. suzukii pupae. Researchers have previously investigated the role of Trichopria drosophilae as a pupal parasitoid in the biological control of Drosophila suzukii in China. Here, we investigated the ability of T. drosophilae to parasitize D. suzukii pupae at different temperatures. To do this, we evaluated the functional response of T. drosophilae to D. suzukii pupae at different temperatures and investigated the specific effects of density on parasitism. The results show that the parasitic functional response of T. drosophilae under different high-temperature stimuli is Holling type II. After processing at 29 °C, the instantaneous search rate was 1.1611; the theoretical maximum parasitic value was 20.88 at 31 °C. The parasitic efficiency decreased with increasing stimulation temperature, as the host pupa density increased from 5 to 25, and the strongest search effect occurred at 0.87 at 27 °C. The searching effect of T. drosophilae at each temperature fell gradually with an increase in prey density from 5 to 25. At 31 °C, the theoretical parasitic maximum of T. drosophilae reached a maximum of 20.88 pupae. Intramuscular fat (IMF) content is a key determinant of pork quality. Controlling the genetic and physiological factors of IMF and the expression patterns of various genes is important for regulating the IMF content and improving meat quality in pig breeding. Growing evidence has suggested the role of genetic factors and breeds in IMF deposition; however, research on the sex factors of IMF deposition is still lacking. The present study aimed to identify potential sex-specific biomarkers strongly associated with IMF deposition in low- and high-IMF pig populations. The GSE144780 expression dataset of IMF deposition-related genes were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus. Initially, differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were detected in male and female low-IMF (162 DEGs, including 64 up- and 98 down-regulated genes) and high-IMF pigs (202 DEGs, including 147 up- and 55 down-regulated genes). Moreover, hub genes were screened via PPI network construction. Furthermore, hub genes were screened for potential sex-specific biomarkers using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator machine learning algorithm, and sex-specific biomarkers in low-IMF (troponin I (TNNI1), myosin light chain 9(MYL9), and serpin family C member 1(SERPINC1)) and high-IMF pigs (CD4 molecule (CD4), CD2 molecule (CD2), and amine oxidase copper-containing 2(AOC2)) were identified, and then verified by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) in semimembranosus muscles. Additionally, the gene set enrichment analysis and single-sample gene set enrichment analysis of hallmark gene sets were collectively performed on the identified biomarkers. For very-high-resolution (VHR) remote sensing images with complex objects and rich textural information, multi-difference image fusion has been proven as an effective method to improve the performance of change detection. However, errors are superimposed during this process and a single spectral feature cannot fully utilize the correlation between pixels, resulting in low robustness. To overcome these problems and optimize the performance of multi-difference image fusion in change detection, we propose a novel multi-difference image fusion change detection method based on a visual attention model (VA-MDCD). First, we construct difference images using change vector analysis (CVA) and spectral gradient difference (SGD). Second, we use the visual attention model to calculate multiple color, intensity and orientation features of the difference images to obtain the difference saliency images. Third, we use the wavelet transform fusion algorithm to fuse two saliency images. Finally, we execute the OTSU threshold segmentation algorithm (OTSU) to obtain the final change detection map. To validate the effectiveness of VA-MDCD on VHR images, two datasets of Jilin 1 and Beijing 2 are selected for experiments. Compared with classical methods, the proposed method has a better performance with fewer missed alarms (MA) and false alarms (FA), which proves that the method has a strong robustness and generalization ability. The F-measure of the two datasets is 0.6671 and 0.7313, respectively. The purpose of this study was to investigate possible influencing factors based on the distribution of the pertussis toxin (PT) and filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA) antibody levels in 0–14-year-old children in Jiangsu Province, China, and to analyze changes in IgG antibody levels after pertussis vaccination in children over time via a restricted cubic spline (RCS)-fitted binary logistic regression model. We collected surveillance data on pertussis through the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System (NNDRS). Serum samples were collected, and PT IgG/FHA IgG antibody levels were determined via an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). A binary logistic regression model was fitted with an RCS. Peak incidence occurred in children aged 0–1 years from 2007 to 2022, and a second peak emerged in children aged 5 years and older from 2018 onwards which shifted towards older age groups. The geometric mean concentrations (GMC) of the anti-PT IgG antibody and anti-FHA IgG antibody in 1129 patients were 15.13 (13.49–16.76) IU/mL and 22.99 (21.17–24.81) IU/mL, respectively. The seropositivity rates of the anti-PT IgG and anti-FHA IgG antibodies in the group receiving a full vaccination course (four doses) were significantly higher than those of other groups (24.6% vs. 43.3%). The RCS fitting model showed a non-linear relationship between the duration after immunization and the odds ratio (OR) of having PT-IgG and FHA-IgG antibody concentrations ≥20 IU/mL in children with documented immunization histories (1–4 doses) (Poverall < 0. 001; Pnonlinear ≤ 0.001). The children with histories of immunization demonstrated antibody levels that decreased to very low levels around 17 months after the last dose of the vaccine. The nutrient utilization rate of salinized farmland soils is low, the nitrogen loss is high, and soil salinity inhibits the hydrolysis of urea and the release of nutrients. In this work, the effect of microbial fertilizer on the nitrogen transformation characteristics and nitrogen morphology of salinized soils was studied using indoor constant temperature incubation tests with different nitrogen application rates—without (A0) and with microbial fertilizer application (A1 (15 t/ha)) or nitrogen application (N) of 0 kg/ha (N0), 97.5 kg/ha (N1), or 195 kg/ha (N2). The results show the following: (i) When no microbial fertilizer was applied, an increased nitrogen application promoted nitrogen fertilizer's ammonification and nitrification reactions. Furthermore, the maximum net nitrification rate with the high nitrogen fertilizer application decreased; the apparent ammonification rate and net ammonification rate A0N2 increased by 26.1% and 24.6%, respectively, compared with A0N1 on the first day of incubation; the maximum net nitrification rate of A0N1 was more than that of A0N2; and A0N1 > A0N2 on day 3, while A0N2 > A0N1 on days 3 to 15. At 3 d, the nitrogen conversion process of A0N1 was dominated by the nitrification reaction, while the ammonification reaction dominated in A0N2. (ii) Microbial fertilizers significantly increased the ammonification and nitrification rates under the low N fertilizer application. The intensity of ammonification and nitrification under the low N fertilizer application was greater than that under the high N fertilizer application. The apparent ammonification rate and net ammonification rate of A1N1 increased by 60.9% and 52.6% compared with A0N1 and 21.9% and 21.7% compared with A1N2 on the first day of incubation, and the peak net nitrification rates of A1N1 and A1N2 (28.19 mg/kg d and 11.02 mg/kg d, respectively) and net nitrification rates of A1N1 and A1N2 were 113.7% higher than those of A0N1. The net nitrification rates of A1N1 and A1N2 were 82.3% and 58.6% lower than the maximum net nitrification rates on the 15th day of incubation, respectively. (iii) In saline soils, low-nitrogen microbial fertilizers led to more ammonium nitrogen in the soil, and the high-nitrogen fertilizer application resulted in higher nitrate nitrogen in the soil, leading to nitrogen leaching. Therefore, when applying microbial fertilizer, choosing the most suitable period for reduced chasing is important for the efficient use of fertilizers, the alternative role of biofertilizers, and the study of environmental pollution. This paper presents an analysis of the fracture accident of a cylindrical roller bearing cage used in a charging pump in a nuclear power plant. The causes and mechanisms of bearing cage breakage were investigated by material failure analysis and simulation calculations. Macroscopic observation results confirmed that the cage fracture occurred at the stress concentration position. The microfracture morphology of the cage obtained from scanning electron microscopy showed a fatigue feature. The analysis of residual stress indicated large residual stress perpendicular to the fracture surface. The finite element calculation showed that when the bearing was moving in and out of the working area during operation, large working stress appeared at the stress concentration position. Working stress and residual stress acted together, approaching the fatigue limit of materials, and finally led to the cage fatigue fracture. The stress of the other two structural cages of the same type of bearing was also calculated, and no such large stress concentration was identified; thus, one plastic cage was temporarily used. As an essential structural indicator of buildings, sky view factor (SVF) is one of the most critical factors affecting the urban thermal environment. However, the relationship between SVF and the thermal environment at the neighborhood scale has not been adequately studied. Therefore, this paper investigates the relationship between SVF and air temperature in different building scenarios based on the Local Climate Zone (LCZ) classification framework. Firstly, the study is based on multi-source urban data and the Open Street Map (OSM) to map the local climate zones in Beijing. Then, a simulation model with different LCZs was constructed based on realistic scenarios using the microclimate simulation software ENVI-met, and the thermal environment was simulated in 24 h on a single day in summer. Finally, the SVF and air temperature relationship under different LCZ scenarios was calculated and analyzed. The results show that (1) the SVF values of LCZ 1, LCZ 2, and LCZ 5 show a more apparent positive correlation with air temperature than other categories, and the SVF values of LCZ 6–9 show a negative and then positive correlation with air temperature; (2) in the morning, the dense building areas show a weak correlation with air temperature, and the differences in air temperature corresponding to the SVF values in different zones are greater; (3) in the morning, the air temperature in the dense building areas showed a weak correlation, the difference between the SVF values and the air temperature in different intervals was different, and when the SVF was larger or smaller, the air temperature change was smaller and concentrated, and the correlation between the air temperature and the SVF in the open building areas was not obvious; (4) with 12:00 as the dividing line, the SVF and the air temperature in all categories showed a weak positive correlation after this time. On 6 February 2023 (UTC), an earthquake doublet, consisting of the Mw 7.8 Pazarcik earthquake and the Mw 7.5 Elbistan earthquake, struck south-central Turkey and northwestern Syria, which was the largest earthquake that occurred in Turkey since the 1939 Erzincan earthquake. The faulting model of this earthquake was estimated based on the coseismic InSAR and GPS displacements. In addition, the best-fitting coseismic faulting model indicates that both the Pazarcik earthquake and the Elbistan earthquake were controlled by predominated left-lateral strike-slip motion, with slip peaks of 9.7 m and 10.8 m, respectively. The Coulomb failure stress (CFS) change suggests that the Pazarcik earthquake has a positive effect in triggering the rupture of the seismogenic fault of the Elbistan earthquake. Furthermore, these two main shocks promoted the occurrence of the Mw 6.3 strong aftershock. Additionally, it is found that the 2023 Turkey-Syria earthquake doublet increased the rupture risk of the Puturge segment of the EAF fault and the northern segment of the Dead Sea Fault (DSF). It is crucial to note that the northern segment of the DSF has not experienced a large earthquake in several centuries, highlighting the need for heightened attention to the potential seismic hazard of this segment. The 2022 global outbreaks of monkeypox virus (MPXV) and increased human-to-human transmission calls for the urgent development of countermeasures to protect people who cannot benefit from vaccination. Here, we describe the development of glycovariants of 7D11, a neutralizing monoclonal IgG antibody (mAb) directed against the L1 transmembrane protein of the related vaccinia virus, in a plant-based system as a potential therapeutic against the current MPVX outbreak. Our results indicated that 7D11 mAb quickly accumulates to high levels within a week after gene introduction to plants. Plant-produced 7D11 mAb assembled correctly into the tetrameric IgG structure and can be easily purified to homogeneity. 7D11 mAb exhibited a largely homogeneous N-glycosylation profile, with or without plant-specific xylose and fucose residues, depending on the expression host, namely wild-type or glycoengineered plants. Plant-made 7D11 retained specific binding to its antigen and displayed a strong neutralization activity against MPXV, as least as potent as the reported activity against vaccinia virus. Our study highlights the utility of anti-L1 mAbs as MPXV therapeutics, and the use of glycoengineered plants to develop mAb glycovariants for potentially enhancing the efficacy of mAbs to combat ever-emerging/re-emerging viral diseases. Soil surface roughness is an important factor affecting hydrology and soil erosion processes, and its development is influenced by precipitation, topography, and tillage practices. In this study, the typical mollisol area in northeast China was taken as the research object. Then, the variation in soil surface roughness with time was analyzed under different terrains, as well as different tillage methods, and the effect of the precipitation condition on roughness was also discussed in detail. Through the design of field experiments, the height information of the soil surface was measured using a probe-type roughness plate. Two parameters, the root-mean-square height (RMSH) and the correlation length (CL), were selected to quantitatively characterize the soil surface roughness. In addition, the dynamic change patterns of surface roughness resulting from five tillage methods, including rotary tillage, combined tillage, no tillage, conventional tillage, and reduced tillage, under both sloping and flat land, were compared and analyzed throughout the soybean growing season, under the influence of rainfall. The results show that with the increase in rainfall, the RMSH of the soil surface, under different tillage methods, showed a trend of first decreasing, and then increasing. The results also showed that the RMSHs under rotary tillage, combined tillage, conventional tillage, and reduced tillage in flat land were greater than those in sloping land, and that the CLs of the soil surface under different tillage methods in flat land were smaller than those in sloping land. In addition, the degree of variation in the soil surface roughness was greater in flat land than that in sloping land under all tillage practices, indicating that this study is of great practical importance in the rational selection of tillage methods, and in the scientific quantification of soil erosion, which also show obvious significance for soil and water conservation. To address safety problems caused by goaf and water accumulation in open-pit mines, the shallow three-dimensional seismic method and transient electromagnetic method were integrated and applied to detect the mining goaf distribution scope and the water accumulation conditions. In view of the special topographic conditions of an ultrashallow layer and high drop in an open-pit mine, we proposed utilizing bin homogenization and multidomain joint denoising to improve the reliability of seismic data. By using seismic-sensitive attributes to predict the goaf, the transient electromagnetic method was employed to further predict the water accumulation in the goaf. The results show that the shallow seismic method could clearly reflect the reflected-wave variation features of the goaf. The features of a junction between a normal seam and goaf vary obviously, and the prediction effect of the goaf boundary with high resolution is in line with the actual situation. Furthermore, taking the goaf scope prediction with the shallow three-dimensional seismic method as a base, targeted transient electromagnetic detection was deployed, with a detailed analysis of the survey-line repeated areas of the shallow seismic and transient electromagnetic methods. Making full use of the advantages of the shallow seismic and transient electromagnetic methods, we propose a reasonable data interpretation method in combination with the special topographic conditions of open-pit mines, which greatly improves the prediction effect of goaf and water accumulation conditions. It is still a challenge to detect small-size vehicles from a drone perspective, particularly under low-brightness conditions. In this context, a YOLOX-IM-DeepSort model was proposed, which improved the object detection performance in low-brightness conditions accurately and efficiently. At the stage of object detection, this model incorporates the data enhancement algorithm as well as an ultra-lightweight subspace attention module, and optimizes the number of detection heads and the loss function. Then, the ablation experiment was conducted and the analysis results showed that the YOLOX-IM model has better mAP than the baseline model YOLOX-s for multi-scale object detection. At the stage of object tracking, the DeepSort object-tracking algorithm is connected to the YOLOX-IM model, which can extract vehicle classification data, vehicle trajectory, and vehicle speed. Then, the VisDrone2021 dataset was adopted to verify the object-detection and tracking performance of the proposed model, and comparison experiment results showed that the average vehicle detection accuracy is 85.00% and the average vehicle tracking accuracy is 71.30% at various brightness levels, both of which are better than those of CenterNet, YOLOv3, FasterR-CNN, and CascadeR-CNN. Next, a field experiment using an in-vehicle global navigation satellite system and a DJI Phantom 4 RTK drone was conducted in Tianjin, China, and 12 control experimental scenarios with different drone flight heights and vehicle speeds were designed to analyze the effect of drone flight altitude on speed extraction accuracy. A thermal-oxidative aging test at 120 °C was conducted on ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) vulcanizates of the semi-efficient vulcanization system. The effect of thermal-oxidative aging on EPDM vulcanizates was systematically studied by curing kinetics, aging coefficient, crosslinking density, macroscopic physical properties, contact angle, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and thermal decomposition kinetics. The results show that the content of hydroxyl and carbonyl groups as well as the carbonyl index increased with increasing aging time, indicating that EPDM vulcanizates were gradually oxidized and degraded. As a result, the EPDM vulcanized rubber chains were crosslinked with limited conformational transformation and weakened flexibility. The thermogravimetric analysis demonstrates that the thermal degradation of EPDM vulcanizates had competitive reactions of crosslinking and degradation, and the thermal decomposition curve can be divided into three stages; meanwhile, the thermal stability of EPDM vulcanizates gradually decreased with increasing aging time. The introduction of antioxidants in the system can promote the crosslinking speed and reduce the crosslinking density of EPDM vulcanizates while inhibiting the surface thermal and oxygen aging reaction. This was attributed to the fact that the antioxidant can reduce the thermal degradation reaction level, but it is not conducive to the formation of a perfect crosslinking network structure and reduces the activation energy of thermal degradation of the main chain. Antibody-dependent enhancement of infection (ADE) is clinically relevant to Dengue virus (DENV) infection and poses a major risk to the application of monoclonal antibody (mAb)-based therapeutics against related flaviviruses such as the Zika virus (ZIKV). Here, we tested a two-tier approach for selecting non-cross-reactive mAbs combined with modulating Fc glycosylation as a strategy to doubly secure the elimination of ADE while preserving Fc effector functions. To this end, we selected a ZIKV-specific mAb (ZV54) and generated three ZV54 variants using Chinese hamster ovary cells and wild-type (WT) and glycoengineered ΔXF Nicotiana benthamiana plants as production hosts (ZV54CHO, ZV54WT, and ZV54ΔXF). The three ZV54 variants shared an identical polypeptide backbone, but each exhibited a distinct Fc N-glycosylation profile. All three ZV54 variants showed similar neutralization potency against ZIKV but no ADE activity for DENV infection, validating the importance of selecting the virus/serotype-specific mAbs for avoiding ADE by related flaviviruses. For ZIKV infection, however, ZV54CHO and ZV54ΔXF showed significant ADE activity while ZV54WT completely forwent ADE, suggesting that Fc glycan modulation may yield mAb glycoforms that abrogate ADE even for homologous viruses. In contrast to the current strategies for Fc mutations that abrogate all effector functions along with ADE, our approach allowed the preservation of effector functions as all ZV54 glycovariants retained antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against the ZIKV-infected cells. Furthermore, the ADE-free ZV54WT demonstrated in vivo efficacy in a ZIKV-infection mouse model. Collectively, our study provides further support for the hypothesis that antibody–viral surface antigen and Fc-mediated host cell interactions are both prerequisites for ADE, and that a dual-approach strategy, as shown herein, contributes to the development of highly safe and efficacious anti-ZIKV mAb therapeutics. Aiming at the problem that the augmented reality system is susceptible to complex scenes and easily leads to the failure of tracking registration, a long-term augmented reality tracking algorithm combining multi-attention and template updating is proposed. Firstly, we improved the ResNet-50 network to extract richer semantic features instead of AlexNet. Secondly, the attention-based feature fusion network effectively fuses the template and search area features through a combination of dual self-attention and cross attention. Dual self-attention effectively enhances the information in the context, whereas cross attention adaptively enhanced the features of both self-attention branches. Thirdly, the ORB feature-matching algorithm is utilized to match the template and search image features, with the template updated if more than 150 matching feature points are found. Lastly, the anchor frameless mechanism is adopted in the classification and regression network, resulting in a significant reduction in the number of parameters. The geometric nonlinearity due to static and thermal load can significantly alter the vibration response of structures. This study presents a semi-analytical approach to illustrate the nonlinear vibration of clamped-clamped beams under static and thermal loads. The von Karman strain and Hamilton's principle are employed to derive the nonlinear static equilibrium equation and nonlinear governing equation. The vibration equation's coefficient is variable. The transfer-matrix method and local homogenization are used to solve the equation. The proposed method's accuracy is validated by commercial software and literature. The numerical results indicate that uniform stress caused by thermal load only reduces the structural mode frequencies. The geometric nonlinearity of the structural static deformation affects both the mode frequencies and mode shapes. And the mode shapes cannot be approximated by harmonic functions. When the static deformation is significant, the structure's local RMS response is substantially affected. This study aimed to analyze the spatial distribution of soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (STN) in a micro-catchment area comprising farmland and a gully with vegetation restoration (artificial forest and grassland) and their influencing factors. We surveyed a total of 52 topsoil sampling sites to measure the SOC and STN content, as well as topographical factors (elevation, curvature, slope gradient, and aspect), soil properties (bulk density, aggregate distribution, soil texture, and soil moisture), and land use and management. We used traditional statistical and geostatistical methods to analyze the spatial variability of SOC and STN. The results of this study indicate that SOC and STN content varied moderately across the entire micro-catchment area, with greater values in the west (gully head area) than in the east (gully mouth area). Additionally, SOC and STN were significantly positively correlated with soil water content, >2 mm size aggregate fraction, and elevation, but negatively correlated with <0.053 mm size fraction. Land use types also influenced the spatial distribution of SOC and STN contents, with the highest averages of SOC and STN content found at the edge of farmland road and grassland, respectively, and the lowest values in bare land. This study provides a valuable supplement to the understanding of SOC and STN in micro-catchment areas, and the research results also support the evaluation of the impact of gully erosion control on SOC and STN dynamics after vegetation restoration. Monoclonal antibodies (mAb) against the envelope (E) protein of Zika virus (ZIKV) have shown great potential as therapeutics against the Zika epidemics. However, their use as a therapy may predispose treated individuals to severe infection by the related dengue virus (DENV) via antibody-dependent enhancement of infection (ADE). Here, we generated a broadly neutralizing flavivirus mAb, ZV1, with an identical protein backbone but different Fc glycosylation profiles. The three glycovariants, produced in wild-type (WT) and glycoengineered ΔXF Nicotiana benthamiana plants and in Chinese hamster ovary cells (ZV1WT, ZV1ΔXF, and ZV1CHO), respectively, showed equivalent neutralization potency against both ZIKV and DENV. By contrast, the three mAb glycoforms demonstrated drastically different ADE activity for DENV and ZIKV infection. While ZV1CHO and ZV1ΔXF showed ADE activity upon DENV and ZIKV infection, ZV1WT totally forwent its ADE. Importantly, all three glycovariants exhibited antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against virus-infected cells, with increased potency by the fucose-free ZV1ΔXF glycoform. Moreover, the in vivo efficacy of the ADE-free ZV1WT was demonstrated in a murine model. Collectively, we demonstrated the feasibility of modulating ADE by Fc glycosylation, thereby establishing a novel approach for improving the safety of flavivirus therapeutics. Metal–organic framework (MOF) compounds are centered on metal ions or metal ion clusters, forming lattices with a highly ordered periodic porous network structure by connecting organic ligands. As MOFs have the advantages of high porosity, large specific surface area, controllable pore size, etc., they are widely used in gas storage, catalysis, adsorption, separation and other fields. SERS substrate based on MOFs can not only improve the sensitivity of SERS analysis but also solve the problem of easy aggregation of substrate nanoparticles. By combining MOFs with SERS, SERS performance is further improved, and tremendous research progress has been made in recent years. In this review, three methods of preparing MOF-based SERS substrates are introduced, and the latest applications of MOF-based SERS substrates in biosensors, the environment, gases and medical treatments are discussed. Silver particles have been widely used in SERS detection as an enhancement substrate. The large-scale synthesis of Ag particles with controllable size and shape is still a challenge. We demonstrate a high-throughput method for the preparation of monodisperse submicron silver particles using S-shaped microfluidic chips. Submicron silver particles were prepared by a simplified reduction method. By adjusting the concentration of the reducing agent ascorbic acid and the stabilizer PVP, the particle size and morphology could be controlled, obtaining a size distribution of 1–1.2 μm for flower-like silver particles and a size distribution of 0.5–0.7 μm for quasi-spherical silver particles. This microfluidic system can be used to fabricate submicron silver particles on a large scale, continuously and stably, with a production efficiency of around 1.73 mg/min. The synthesized submicron silver particles could realize ultra-sensitive SERS detection, and the lowest concentration of rhodamine 6G (R6G) that could be detected was 10−9 M. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Increasing consumption produces a large amount of cotton textile waste, the conversion of which into porous metals used for energy purposes is of practical value. In this paper, a porous, Ni-based, hollow microtubular weave (Ni-HTW) is obtained from cotton weave by high-temperature carbonization and hydrothermal synthesis with high-temperature reduction. The Ni-based, hollow microtubules in this weave have a diameter of 5–10 μm and a wall thickness of about 1 μm, and every 15 microtubules form a loose bundle with a diameter of 150–200 μm. For improved performance, Ni(OH)2 nanosheets are further electrodeposited on the fibers' surface of the Ni-HTW to form a nano-Ni(OH)2/Ni-HTW composite electrode with a core–shell heterostructure where Ni is the core and Ni(OH)2 the shell. The combination of hollow microtubule weave morphology and nanosheet structure results in a large specific surface area and abundant active sites, and the composite electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic performance and long-term stability for methanol oxidation (MOR) and urea oxidation (UOR). The current densities can reach 303.1 mA/cm2 and 342.5 mA/cm2 at 0.8 V, and 92.29% (MOR) and 84.41% (UOR) of the pre-cycle current densities can be maintained after 2000 consecutive cycles. In order to obtain the effect of W and Hf elements on the mechanical properties of Ta–W–Hf alloys, the structural, mechanical, and electronic properties of Ta–xW–6.25Hf (x = 6.25, 12.50, 18.75, 25.00, 31.25, 50.00) alloys were studied using first-principles calculation based on density functional theory, and the supercell method. The calculated formation enthalpy and elastic constants clarify that Ta–W–Hf alloys have structural and dynamical stability. The formation enthalpy and the cohesive energy decrease with the increase in W content, and the cohesive energy increases when Hf element is added to Ta–W alloy. In addition, bulk modulus (B), shear modulus (G), and Young's modulus (E) for each of the Ta–xW alloys increase gradually with the increase in W concentration. The B, G, and E of Ta–xW–6.25Hf alloys is lower than that of Ta–xW alloy under the same W content conditions, suggesting that Hf alloying with higher Ta–W concentration becomes softer than the Ta–W alloy. Based on the mechanical characteristic, the B/G and Poisson's ratio of Ta–W–Hf alloys are higher than those of Ta–W alloys with W content over 25%, the ductility of Ta–W–Hf alloys improves with the addition of Hf, and Hf can reduce the anisotropy of Ta–W–Hf alloys. Furthermore, the electronic density of states shows that alloying W and Hf improves the metallicity of Ta. In order to study the damage mechanism of fissure-grouted rocks in abandoned mine pumped storage, uniaxial compression tests were conducted using fissure-grouted rock specimens after dry and wet cycles. Additionally, acoustic emission sensors were used to track the damage of the rock specimens. The results demonstrate a negative correlation between peak strength and elastic modulus and a linear decrease in wave velocity and the mechanical characteristics of the fracture-grouted rock specimens with increasing dry and wet cycles. As the number of dry and wet cycles increased, the deterioration of the fracture-grouted specimens significantly decreased, and the internal microstructural adjustment of the specimens gradually leveled off. A rock constitutive model considering deterioration due to the dry–wet cycle is introduced, and the stress–strain curves under different dry and wet cycles are fitted. The model, which also accurately shows the mechanism of damage to prefabricated fissure-grouted rock specimens after dry and wet cycles, better characterizes the damage development law of prefabricated fissure-grouted rock specimens under the influence of dry and wet cycles. This study aimed to investigate the impact of corrosion on the microstructure and tensile properties of 7075 high-strength alloy. It involved outdoor exposure tests in an actual marine atmospheric environment in Wanning, Hainan Province. The results showed that the 7075 alloy was corroded rapidly in the marine atmospheric environment, and corrosion pits and intergranular cracks were generated. The intergranular cracks were extended along the grain boundary during corrosion, leading to the exfoliation of the matrix. The cause for the intergranular corrosion was discussed based on the microstructure characteristics of 7075 alloy. The tensile properties of the 7075 alloy gradually deteriorated with the increase of exposure time in the marine atmospheric environment. The ultimate strength and elongation were decreased by about 3.2% and 58.3%, respectively, after 12 months of outdoor exposure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
