The spline teeth fracture of separator plates in wet multi-plate clutches compromises driving safety and the vehicle's lifespan. Tooth fracture is mainly caused by stress concentration at the tooth root and uneven circumferential load distribution. This paper considers parameters such as torque, teeth count, tooth profile, and misalignment errors, establishing the corresponding finite element (FE) model to analyze the impact of the above-mentioned parameters on the strength of the separator plates. Analysis under even and biased load circumstances demonstrated that an optimum tooth count and profile can significantly increase the strength of the separator plates, offering advice for the optimized design of wet multi-plate clutch separator plates. In order to explore the wind load characteristics acting on solar photovoltaic panels under extreme severe weather conditions, based on the Shear Stress Transport (SST) κ-ω turbulence model, numerical calculations of three-dimensional incompressible viscous steady flow were performed for four installation angles and two extreme wind directions of the solar photovoltaic panels. The wind load characteristics on both sides of the photovoltaic panels were obtained, and the vortex structure characteristics were analyzed using the Q criterion. The results indicate that, under different installation angles, the windward side pressure of the solar photovoltaic panel is generally higher than the leeward side. The leeward side is prone to forming larger vortices, increasing the fatigue and damage risk of the material, which significantly impacts the solar photovoltaic panel. As the installation angle increases, the windward side pressure of the solar photovoltaic panel also gradually increases. Therefore, optimal installation methods include installing the panel facing the wind at angles of 30° and 45°, or installing it facing away from the wind at a 60° angle, to minimize the impact of wind load on the solar photovoltaic panel. The reduction of friction-induced noise is a crucial research area for enhancing vehicle comfort, and this paper proposes a method based on circular pit texture to achieve this goal. We conducted a long-term sliding friction test using a pin-on-disc friction and a wear test bench to verify the validity of this method. To compare the friction noise of different surfaces, texture units with varying line densities were machined on the surface of friction disk samples. The resulting friction-wear and noise characteristics of the samples were analyzed in conjunction with the microscopic morphology of the worn surfaces. The results indicate that surfaces with textures can delay the onset of squeal noise, and the pattern of its development differs from that of smooth surfaces. The noise reduction effect is most evident due to the proper distribution of textures that can form furrow-like wear marks at the wear interface. The process of soil genesis unfolds as pioneering microbial communities colonize mineral substrates, enriching them with biomolecules released from bedrock. The resultant intricate surface units emerge from a complex interplay among microbiota and plant communities. Under these conditions, host rocks undergo initial weathering through microbial activity, rendering them far from pristine and challenging the quest for biomarkers in ancient sedimentary rocks. In addressing this challenge, a comprehensive analysis utilizing Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) was conducted on a 520-Ma-old Cambrian rock. This investigation revealed a diverse molecular assemblage with comprising alkanols, sterols, fatty acids, glycerolipids, wax esters, and nitrogen-bearing compounds. Notably, elevated levels of bacterial C16, C18 and C14 fatty acids, iso and anteiso methyl-branched fatty acids, as well as fungal sterols, long-chained fatty acids, and alcohols, consistently align with a consortium of bacteria and fungi accessing complex organic matter within a soil-type ecosystem. The prominence of bacterial and fungal lipids alongside maturity indicators denotes derivation from heterotrophic activity rather than ancient preservation or marine sources. Moreover, the identification of long-chain (>C22) n-alkanols, even-carbon-numbered long chain (>C20) fatty acids, and campesterol, as well as stigmastanol, provides confirmation of plant residue inputs. Furthermore, findings highlight the ability of contemporary soil microbiota to inhabit rocky substrates actively, requiring strict contamination controls when evaluating ancient molecular biosignatures or extraterrestrial materials collected. To investigate the pressure pulsation characteristics of self-priming pumps under different flow conditions, Fluent 19.2 software was used to numerically calculate the internal flow inside a self-priming pump by means of the RNG k-ε model. The pressure pulsation characteristics, as well as the standard deviation in the volute and impeller domains, were analyzed under different flow conditions. As a result, under rated- and high-flow conditions, the monitoring points in the volute channel have obvious periodic patterns, and the peak pressure pulsations all occur in the octave band of the blade frequency. The pressure pulsation amplitude is larger under the high-flow condition than in the other two conditions. The monitoring points L1 and L5 on the impeller channel centerline are located near the impeller's inlet and outlet, respectively, so the pressure pulsations are larger than other monitoring points. In the present work, the effects of aging treatment on the microstructures of a TC18 alloy are studied. The influence of aging treatment on the tensile properties and failure mechanisms is systematically analyzed. It is found that the size and morphology of the primary α (αp) phases are insensitive to aging temperature and time. Furthermore, the aging temperature and time dramatically influence the precipitation of the secondary α (αs) phases. Massive αs phases precipitate and gradually coarsen, and finally weave together by increasing the aging temperature or extending the aging time. The variations in αp and αs phases induced by aging parameters also affect the mechanical properties. Both yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) first increase and then decrease by increasing the aging temperature and time, while ductility first decreases and then increases. There is an excellent balance between the strengths and ductility. When the aging temperature is changed from 450 to 550 °C, YS varies from 1238.6 to 1381.6 MPa, UTS varies from 1363.2 to 1516.8 MPa, and the moderate elongation ranges from 9.0% to 10.3%. These results reveal that the thickness of αs phases is responsible for material strengths, while the content of α phases can enhance material ductility. The ductile characteristics of the alloy with coarser αs phases are more obvious than those with thinner αs phases. Therefore, the aging treatment is helpful for the precipitation and homogeneous distribution of αs phases, which are essential for balancing the strengths and ductility of the studied Ti alloy. Forest fires have a significant impact on terrestrial ecosystems, leading to harm to biodiversity and environment. To mitigate the ecological damage caused by forest fires, it was necessary to develop prediction models of fire risk. In this study, by evolving the optimal architecture and parameters using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, a convolutional neural network (CNN) deep learning model was proposed to predict forest fire risk on a national scale. Utilizing fire data and fire risk factors from 2001 to 2020 in China, the PSO-CNN-based deep learning model (PSO-CNN) was utilized and tested. Compared to logistic regression, random forest, support vector machine, k-nearest neighbors, and CNN models, the PSO-CNN model exhibited superior performance with an accuracy of 82.2% and an AUC value of 0.92. These results clearly highlighted the effectiveness of the PSO-CNN model in enhancing the accuracy of forest fire prediction. Furthermore, the forest fire risk prediction level estimated by the proposed model on a national scale for the entire country was mostly consistent with actual fire data distribution, indicating its potential to be used as an important direction for deep learning in forest fire prediction research. Severe erosion wear is found on valve spools, which threatens the safety and reliability of these units. The use of the plasma beam spraying surfacing method can significantly improve the corrosion resistance and sealing performance of hydraulic valve spools, reduce material waste, and reduce maintenance costs. The effects of the co-addition of CeO2 and SiC particles on the morphology, surface cracks, microstructure, precipitated phases, and wear property of plasma-beam-sprayed Fe55-based coatings on 1025 steel were investigated using OM, EDS, ultra-deep field microscopy, and a wet sand rubber wheel friction tester, respectively. The dendrite exhibited a directional growth pattern perpendicular to the substrate and the transitional states of the microstructure with the co-addition of CeO2 and SiC particles. CeO2 or SiC reduced the liquid phase diffusion coefficient DL of Cr and C and resulted in a decrease in the G/R ratio. The dendrites changed into equiaxed grains. The main phase composition of the Fe55 welding layer was Cr7C3, γ-Fe. The martensite in the surfacing layer and the carbides formed Cr7C3, which can improve the hardness of the surfacing layer. The grain boundaries consisted mainly of a reticular eutectic structure. The uniform distribution of the Cr7C3 hard phase in the Fe55+1.5 wt% SiC+0.01 wt% CeO2 resulted in a uniformly worn surface. The sub-wear mechanisms during the friction process were micro-ploughing and micro-cutting. The hardness and toughness of Fe55+1.5 wt% SiC+0.01 wt% CeO2 were well-matched, avoiding excessive micro-cutting and microplastic deformation. A low content of CeO2 could lead to the formation of equiaxed grain and effectively improve the uniformity of the microstructure. The wear-resistant layer of Fe55+1.5 wt% SiC+0.01 wt% CeO2 can effectively improve the service life and long-term sealing performance of the valve spools. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of high-precision satellites has increased the demand for ultraprecision three-degrees-of-freedom (3-DOF) angle measurements for detecting structural deformation. The required instrument should simultaneously measure pitch, yaw, and roll angles using a single reference point. This paper proposes a 3-DOF angle measurement method based on the wavefront interference principle, and a mathematical model and its decoupling algorithm were built. Then, an angle-sensing probe with an extremely simple structure was designed and constructed. Finally, a series of experiments were performed to verify the method's feasibility. The experiment results showed that the roll, pitch, and yaw measurement resolution of the probe was better than 10, 1, and 1 μrad, respectively, providing a high-performance 3-DOF angle measurement with a single probe. In order to meet different operational requirements, existing low specific speed centrifugal pumps may have to be run at high speeds. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the transient performance of such centrifugal pumps during high speed starting and stopping. However, there are currently no experiments on the starting and stopping of low specific speed centrifugal pumps. In this paper, transient hydraulic performance experiments during starting and stopping had been carried out on an atypical open impeller centrifugal pump with a rated flow rate of 6 m3/h using an updated test rig. The correlation of speed, flow, head and shaft power with time was obtained for four flow ratios of 0.353, 1.022, 1.654 and 2.343 operating conditions. It was found that the fluctuation of the shaft power curve was the strongest during the starting process, and there was a significant impact phenomenon. The corresponding impact shaft power from small to large flow rates were 0.167 kW, 0.409 kW, 0.234 kW and 0.215 kW, and the shaft power impact phenomenon was the most obvious under rated operating conditions. During the stopping process, the speed, flow rate and head all remain stable for a small period of time, and the time required to decrease to 0 is longer than the time required to reach a stable state during starting. This paper proposes a two-dimensional precision level for real-time measurement using a zoom fast Fourier transform (zoom FFT)-based decoupling algorithm that was developed and integrated in an FPGA. This algorithm solves the contradiction between obtaining high resolution and obtaining high measurement speed, and achieves both high angle-resolution measurement and real-time measurement. The proposed level adopts a silicone-oil surface as the angle-sensitive interface and combines the principle of homodyne interference. By analyzing the frequency of the interference fringes, the angle variation can be determined. The zoom-FFT-based decoupling algorithm improves the system's frequency resolution of the interference fringes, thereby significantly enhancing the angle resolution. Furthermore, this algorithm improves the efficiency of angle decoupling, while the angle decoupling process can also be transplanted to the board to realize real-time measurement of the level. Finally, a prototype based on the level principle was tested to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The principle analysis and test results showed that the angle resolution of the prototype improved from 9 arcsec to about 0.1 arcsec using this angle-solution method. At the same time, the measurement repeatability of the prototype was approximately ±0.2 arcsec. In comparison with a commercial autocollimator, the angle measurement accuracy reached ±0.6 arcsec. Understanding the infiltration and solidification processes of liquid 5083Al alloy into Al2O3 three-dimensional reticulated porous ceramic (Al2O3(3D) RPC) is essential for optimizing the microstructure and properties of Al2O3(3D)/5083Al interpenetrating phase composites (IPCs) prepared by low-pressure infiltration process (LPIP). This study employs ProCAST software to simulate the infiltration and solidification processes of liquid 5083Al with pouring velocities (PV) of 0.4 m/s infiltrating into Al2O3(3D) RPC preforms with varying porosities at different pouring temperatures (PT) to prepare Al2O3(3D)/5083Al IPCs using LPIP. The results demonstrate that pore diameter of Al2O3(3D) RPC preforms and PT of liquid 5083Al significantly influence the of the infiltration. Solidification process analysis reveals that the Al2O3(3D) RPC preform with smaller pore diameters allows the lower pouring velocity of 5083Al to solidify faster compared to the preform with larger pore diameters. Al2O3(3D)/5083Al IPCs were prepared successfully from Al2O3(3D) RPC porosity of 15 PPI with liquid 5083Al at PV 0.4 m/s and PT 800 °C using LPIP, resulting in nearly fully dense composites, where both Al2O3(3D) RPCs and 5083Al interpenetrate throughout the microstructure. The infiltration and solidification defects were reduced under air pressure of 0.3 MPa (corresponding to PV of 0.4 m/s) during LPIP. Finite volume method simulations are in good agreement with experimental data, validating the suitability of the simplified model for Al2O3(3D) RPCs in the infiltration simulation. This article adopts an orthogonal experimental design method to establish a four-factor three-level experimental group by varying the structural parameters at the nozzle outlet, including the number of orifices, orifice diameter, distribution circle diameter, and inclination angle of the base. The three-dimensional jet flow field in the jet pipe was numerically simulated. Through the use of the entropy generation method, Q-criteria, range analysis, and significance test, the working characteristics of the jet pipe were thoroughly investigated. The results show that the orifice diameter has a significant impact on the axial force acting on the jet pipe, while the number of orifices has a minor effect. The distribution circle diameter and inclination angle of the base have very little influence. The final confirmed optimal combination of nozzle structure parameters is as follows: the number of spray holes is 40, the diameter of each spray hole is 1.5 mm, the distribution circle diameter is 22 mm, and the inclination angle of the bottom cover is 30 degrees. Challenges associated with drug-releasing stents used in percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) encompass allergic reactions, prolonged endothelial dysfunction, and delayed stent clotting. Although absorbable stents made from magnesium alloys seem promising, fast in vivo degradation and poor biocompatibility remain major challenges. In this study, zirconia (ZrO2) layers were used as the foundational coat, while calcium phosphate (CaP) served as the surface layer on unalloyed magnesium specimens. Consequently, the corrosion current density was decreased to 3.86, from 13.3 μA/cm2. Moreover, a heparin-controlled release mechanism was created by co-depositing CaP, gelatin (Gel), and heparin (Hep) on the specimens coated with CaP/ZrO2, thereby boosting magnesium's blood compatibility and prolonging the heparin-releasing time. Techniques like X-ray diffractometry (XRD), focused ion beam (FIB) system, toluidine blue testing, UV–visible spectrometry, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and surrogate tests for endothelial cell viability were employed to examine the heparin-infused coatings. The drug content rose to 484.19 ± 19.26 μg/cm2 in multi-layered coatings (CaP-Gel-Hep/CaP-Hep/CaP/ZrO2) from 243.56 ± 55.18 μg/cm2 in a single layer (CaP-Hep), with the controlled release spanning beyond 28 days. Also, cellular viability assessments indicated enhanced biocompatibility of the coated samples relative to those without coatings. This suggests the potential of magnesium samples after coating ZrO2 and CaP with Gel as candidates for porous biodegradable stents or even scaffolds in biomedical applications. The plant architecture of higher plants is regulated through environmental and genetic factors, as well as phytohormones. Phytohormones play a critical role in regulating shoot branching. We determined the branching phenotype of D16 and N99-6, the content of strigolactones, the genetic expression level, and the interaction between auxin and strigolactones. We found that the branching development of the two soybean varieties under shading was significantly slower than that under normal light. The average branch length of N99-6 decreased by 40.9% after shading; however, the branch length of D16 was not significantly affected. Meanwhile, the branch formation rate in D16 was significantly higher than in N99-6. In addition, after shading treatment, the content of strigolactones in D16 and N99-6 axillary buds increased significantly, and the expression of phytochrome genes, PhyA and PhyB, showed opposite changes. However, strigolactone synthesis gene GmMAX4 and signal transduction gene GmMAX2 expression levels of D16 were lower than those of N99-6 after 24 h of shading. In addition, the application of strigolactone inhibitor TIS108 and auxin inhibitor NPA to soybean had no significant effect on the branch phenotype. The expression of the GmMAX2 gene was significantly up-regulated after the external application of the auxin analog, and the expression of auxin transporter gene GmPINI was significantly down-regulated after external application of the strigolactone analog under shade. The stiffnesses of embankments and culverts differ in the transition sections of high-speed railways (HSRs) due to their different supporting conditions. The dynamic irregularity caused by the different stiffnesses makes this transition area the weakest part of high-speed railways. Graded crushed stone combined with 5% cement is typically used to fill the subgrade in these transition areas. Thus, three different particle size ratios of crushed stone were matched and tested regarding the construction parameters to explore the most suitable materials to fill the roadbed in a transition section. Then, field dynamic tests were carried out on the culvert–embankment–culvert transition area where trains run at speeds of 5–360 km/h. A time-domain analysis of the test data was performed to obtain the laws of variation that cause the dynamic characteristics to change with the railway line and roadbed layer and the changes induced by a train's running speed, operating direction, and axle weight. The results indicate that (i) it is feasible to fill transition section roadbeds with well-graded crushed stone combined with 5% cement with optimal water contents; (ii) extreme dynamic responses in some special sections are observed, suggesting the value of taking special measures at the transition section. For example, the sections 14.5 m and 30 m from the 679 culvert and the bed layer should be specially stabilized; (iii) the train's axle load and driving direction show a great effect on corresponding sections and layers but present a small effect on the sections and layers nearby; and (iv) 260 km/h is a critical speed. We present a straightforward approach to develop a high-detectivity silicon (Si) sub-bandgap near-infrared (NIR) photodetector (PD) based on textured Si/Au nanoparticle (NP) Schottky junctions coated with graphene film. This is a photovoltaic-type PD that operates at 0 V bias. The texturing of Si is to trap light for NIR absorption enhancement, and Schottky junctions facilitate sub-bandgap NIR absorption and internal photoemission. Both Au NPs and the texturing of Si were made in self-organized processes. Graphene offers additional pathways for hot electron transport and to increase photocurrent. Under 1319 nm illumination at room temperature, a responsivity of 3.9 mA/W and detectivity of 7.2 × 1010 cm × (Hz)1/2/W were obtained. Additionally, at −60 °C, the detectivity increased to 1.5 × 1011 cm × (Hz)1/2/W, with the dark current density reduced and responsivity unchanged. Double-twisted hexagonal gabion wire mesh is a type of reinforced soil material that is used in gabion retaining walls to stabilize the soil slope in geotechnical engineering. In this study, a series of tensile tests were conducted to investigate the tensile behavior of hexagonal gabion wire mesh. Meanwhile, numerical models of gabion wire mesh were built to investigate the whole tensile loading-strain process. The influence of wire diameter, mesh width, and mesh length on the tensile strength of hexagonal gabion wire mesh were evaluated based on laboratory tests and numerical simulation. The quantitative relationship of tensile strength versus wire diameter, mesh width, and mesh length was typically fitted by a quadratic function, linear function, and monotonically decreasing exponential function. The numerical result presents a good consistency with those obtained from the experiment. The result of the loading-strain curve obtained by both experiment and simulation exhibits an "S" shape with a distinct serrated characteristic. The loading-strain curve can be divided into the following four stages: mesh distortion stage, wire stretching stage, overall yield stage, and wire fracture stage, which well reflects the tensile behavior of double-twisted hexagonal wire mesh. In order to verify the safety and reliability of the mobile pump truck, this paper takes the frame of a certain type of mobile pump truck as the research object. Through the establishment of a finite element model, four kinds of materials including Q345 and other types of steel are used to define the body parts, the four typical motion situations of the mobile pump truck are analyzed statically, and the maximum stress and deformation of the mobile pump truck under four working conditions are obtained. The results show that the stress and deformation generated by the mobile pump truck under full load bending, emergency turning, and emergency braking conditions are relatively small; while they generate significant stress and deformation under torsional conditions, they all meet the strength design requirements. Among them, the maximum stress and maximum displacement under the full load bending condition are 71.76 MPa and 2.11 mm; the maximum stress and maximum displacement under the full load torsion condition are 352.68 MPa and 18.18 mm; the maximum stress and maximum displacement under emergency turning conditions are 79.718 MPa and 2.68 mm; and the maximum stress and maximum displacement under emergency braking conditions are 74.907 MPa and 2.81 mm. Several countries are witnessing significant increases in influenza cases and severity. Despite the availability, effectiveness and safety of influenza vaccination, vaccination coverage remains suboptimal globally. In this study, we examined the prevailing negative sentiments related to influenza vaccination via a deep learning analysis of public Twitter posts over the past five years. We extracted original tweets containing the terms 'flu jab', '#flujab', 'flu vaccine', '#fluvaccine', 'influenza vaccine', '#influenzavaccine', 'influenza jab', or '#influenzajab', and posted in English from 1 January 2017 to 1 November 2022. We then identified tweets with negative sentiment from individuals, and this was followed by topic modelling using machine learning models and qualitative thematic analysis performed independently by the study investigators. A total of 261,613 tweets were analyzed. Topic modelling and thematic analysis produced five topics grouped under two major themes: (1) criticisms of governmental policies related to influenza vaccination and (2) misinformation related to influenza vaccination. A significant majority of the tweets were centered around perceived influenza vaccine mandates or coercion to vaccinate. Our analysis of temporal trends also showed an increase in the prevalence of negative sentiments related to influenza vaccination from the year 2020 onwards, which possibly coincides with misinformation related to COVID-19 policies and vaccination. There was a typology of misperceptions and misinformation underlying the negative sentiments related to influenza vaccination. Public health communications should be mindful of these findings. Evidence theory is widely used to deal with the fusion of uncertain information, but the fusion of conflicting evidence remains an open question. To solve the problem of conflicting evidence fusion in single target recognition, we proposed a novel evidence combination method based on an improved pignistic probability function. Firstly, the improved pignistic probability function could redistribute the probability of multi-subset proposition according to the weight of single subset propositions in a basic probability assignment (BPA), which reduces the computational complexity and information loss in the conversion process. The combination of the Manhattan distance and evidence angle measurements is proposed to extract evidence certainty and obtain mutual support information between each piece of evidence; then, entropy is used to calculate the uncertainty of the evidence and the weighted average method is used to correct and update the original evidence. Finally, the Dempster combination rule is used to fuse the updated evidence. Verified by the analysis results of single-subset proposition and multi-subset proposition highly conflicting evidence examples, compared to the Jousselme distance method, the Lance distance and reliability entropy combination method, and the Jousselme distance and uncertainty measure combination method, our approach achieved better convergence and the average accuracy was improved by 0.51% and 2.43%. The popup data communication beacon (PDCB) can send data to the shore and ships through the BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS) when it surfaces. The data can be collected by a deep-sea landing vehicle (DSLV) and transmitted using a magnetic induction coil. PDCBs can reduce the cost of DSLV recovery and redeployment. Whether the data can be successfully sent mainly depends on the outlet height and roll angle of the PDCB. Thus, accurately assessing the effect of the roll angle on data transmission is crucial. In this study, first, the differential equation of roll motion was preliminarily established using the small-amplitude wave theory along with the shape characteristics of the PDCB. Next, the nonlinear term of the recovery moment was processed using the Linz Ted Poincaré method. Then, the wave current force was analyzed using the Morrison theoretical formula along with an additional inertia moment calculation formula that is suitable for slender cylindrical small buoys. Thus, the heave and roll response of PDCBs can be evaluated using theoretical calculation methods. Loneliness is an issue of public health significance. Longitudinal studies indicate that feelings of loneliness are prevalent and were exacerbated by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. With the advent of new media, more people are turning to social media platforms such as Twitter and Reddit as well as online forums, e.g., loneliness forums, to seek advice and solace regarding their health and well-being. The present study therefore aimed to investigate the public messaging on loneliness via an unsupervised machine learning analysis of posts made by organisations on Twitter. We specifically examined tweets put out by organisations (companies, agencies or common interest groups) as the public may view them as more credible information as opposed to individual opinions. A total of 68,345 unique tweets in English were posted by organisations on Twitter from 1 January 2012 to 1 September 2022. These tweets were extracted and analysed using unsupervised machine learning approaches. BERTopic, a topic modelling technique that leverages state-of-the-art natural language processing, was applied to generate interpretable topics around the public messaging of loneliness and highlight the key words in the topic descriptions. The topics and topic labels were then reviewed independently by all study investigators for thematic analysis. Four key themes were uncovered, namely, the experience of loneliness, people who experience loneliness, what exacerbates loneliness and what could alleviate loneliness. Notably, a significant proportion of the tweets centred on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on loneliness. While current online interactions are largely descriptive of the complex and multifaceted problem of loneliness, more targeted prosocial messaging appears to be lacking to combat the causes of loneliness brought up in public messaging. Two new quinazolinone diketopiperazine alkaloids, including versicomide E (2) and cottoquinazoline H (4), together with ten known compounds (1, 3, and 5–12) were isolated and identified from Aspergillus versicolor AS-212, an endozoic fungus associated with the deep-sea coral Hemicorallium cf. imperiale, which was collected from the Magellan Seamounts. Their chemical structures were determined by an extensive interpretation of the spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic data as well as specific rotation calculation, ECD calculation, and comparison of their ECD spectra. The absolute configurations of (−)-isoversicomide A (1) and cottoquinazoline A (3) were not assigned in the literature reports and were solved in the present work by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. In the antibacterial assays, compound 3 exhibited antibacterial activity against aquatic pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophilia with an MIC value of 18.6 μM, while compounds 4 and 8 exhibited inhibitory effects against Vibrio harveyi and V. parahaemolyticus with MIC values ranging from 9.0 to 18.1 μM. Metal nanoparticles are widely used in catalysis. Loading metal nanoparticles into polymer brushes has aroused wide attention, but regulation of catalytic performance still needs to be improved. The novel diblock polymer brushes, polystyrene@sodium polystyrene sulfonate-b-poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) (PSV@PSS-b-PNIPA) and PSV@PNIPA-b-PSS with reversed block sequence, were prepared by surface initiated photoiniferter-mediated polymerization (SI-PIMP) and used as nanoreactors to load silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). Recently, research has largely focused on extracellular vesicles (EVs), and they have been found to participate in various ways in the development of various diseases, including HCC, such as by regulating cell signaling pathways. However, recent studies have reported the mechanisms underlying the regulation of Wnt signaling by EVs in HCC, primarily focusing on the regulation of the canonical pathways. Artificial intelligence and distributed algorithms have been widely used in mechanical fault diagnosis with the explosive growth of diagnostic data. A novel intelligent fault diagnosis system framework that allows intelligent terminals to offload computational tasks to Mobile edge computing (MEC) servers is provided in this paper, which can effectively address the problems of task processing delays and enhanced computational complexity. As the resources at the MEC and intelligent terminals are limited, performing reasonable resource allocation optimization can improve the performance, especially for a multi-terminals offloading system. In this study, to minimize the task computation delay, we jointly optimize the local content splitting ratio, the transmission/computation power allocation, and the MEC server selection under a dynamic environment with stochastic task arrivals. The challenging dynamic joint optimization problem is formulated as a reinforcement learning (RL) problem, which is designed as the computational offloading policies to minimize the long-term average delay cost. Two deep RL strategies, deep Q-learning network (DQN) and deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG), are adopted to learn the computational offloading policies adaptively and efficiently. The proposed DQN strategy takes the MEC selection as a unique action while using the convex optimization approach to obtain the local content splitting ratio and the transmission/computation power allocation. Simultaneously, the actions of the DDPG strategy are selected as all dynamic variables, including the local content splitting ratio, the transmission/computation power allocation, and the MEC server selection. Numerical results demonstrate that both proposed strategies perform better than the traditional non-learning schemes. Irritable bowel syndrome is a prototypical disorder of the brain–gut–microbiome axis, although the underlying pathogenesis and mechanisms remain incompletely understood. With the recent advances in 'omics' technologies, studies have attempted to uncover IBS-specific variations in the host–microbiome profile and function. However, no biomarker has been identified to date. Given the high inter-individual and day-to-day variability of the gut microbiota, and a lack of agreement across the large number of microbiome studies, this review focused on omics studies that had sampling at more than one time point. A systematic literature search was performed using various combinations of the search terms "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" and "Omics" in the Medline, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library up to 1 December 2022. A total of 16 original studies were reviewed. These multi-omics studies have implicated Bacteroides, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Ruminococcus spp., and Bifidobacteria in IBS and treatment response, found altered metabolite profiles in serum, faecal, or urinary samples taken from IBS patients compared to the healthy controls, and revealed enrichment in the immune and inflammation-related pathways. They also demonstrated the possible therapeutic mechanisms of diet interventions, for example, synbiotics and low fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyol (FODMAP) diets on microbial metabolites. However, there was significant heterogeneity among the studies and no uniform characteristics of IBS-related gut microbiota. The open excavation and concealed construction method is widely adopted for the construction of bias double-arch tunnels. However, the mechanical behavior of the tunnel during the whole construction period by using the open excavation and concealed construction method is not well understood, and the basis for construction organization and optimization is lacking. Based on an open-buried double-arch tunnel on Xiajuan Road, Changsha City, China, on-site monitoring was carried out in terms of the deformation of the steel arch in the primary lining, the stress of reinforcement in the secondary lining, and the deformation of the surrounding rock during the construction process. The correlation between the vault settlement rate and the steel arch strain was analyzed. The results show that the maximum vault settlement and settling rate of the left and right caverns occur at different locations due to different supporting conditions. The peripheral displacement experiences a process of convergence inward and extension outward. The compressive steel stress in the secondary lining of the right cavern is greater than that in the left cavern, except for the points at the arch waist. The backfill above the left cavern reduces the loading on the lining of the right cavern, but it increases the loading on the left cavern. There is accumulating evidence on the beneficial effects of probiotic supplementation for patients with depressive disorders. However, prior reviews on the topic have largely focused on clinical effectiveness with limited emphasis on the underlying mechanisms of action and effects of probiotics on gut microbiota. In accordance with PRISMA guidelines, a systematic literature search of Medline, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library using combinations of the key words, ("depress*" OR "MDD" OR "suicide"), ("probiotic" OR "Lactobacillus" OR "Bifidobacterium") AND ("gut" OR "gut micr*" OR "microbiota"), as well as grey literature was performed. We found seven clinical trials involving patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). The small number of studies and heterogeneous sources of data precluded meta-analysis. Most trials (other than one open-label trial) had a low-to-moderate risk of bias, which was largely due to a lack of control for the effects of diet on gut microbiota. Probiotic supplementation yielded only modest effects on depressive symptoms and there were no consistent effects on gut microbiota diversity, and in most instances, no significant alterations in gut microbiota composition were observed after four to eight weeks of probiotic intervention. There is also a lack of systematic reporting on adverse events and no good longer-term data. Patients with MDD may require a longer time to show clinical improvement and the microbial host environment may also need longer than eight weeks to produce significant microbiota alterations. Steel fiber-reinforced ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) is becoming an important type of concrete reinforcement. After mixing with the reinforced steel fibers, the UHPC has perfect flex resistance, shear strength, crack resistance, shock resistance, and anti-seepage. In this study, the influence of straight, corrugated, and hooked brass-coated steel fibers (BCSFs) on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and crack expansion mechanism of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) with varying content of 1–6 wt.% under different curing times were investigated. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry were employed to characterize the microstructure of the BCSF-reinforced UHPC mix specimens. X-ray computed tomography was employed to determine the porosity of the BCSF-reinforced UHPC mix specimens. The obtained results indicate the flexural strength and compressive strength of BCSF-reinforced UHPC mix specimens are enhanced, along with increasing the content of BCSFs reinforcement with different shapes (straight, corrugated, and hooked). The embedded BCSFs play a major role in the adhesive property and stress transfer of the BCSFs–UHPC matrix interface. Different from many studies, the flexural strength of mix UHPC with straight BCSFs is higher than those with corrugated and hooked BCSFs. However, the compressive strength of UHPC with corrugated BCSFs is higher than those with straight and hooked BCSFs. The flexural strength of mix UHPC with 6 wt.% straight BCSFs at 28 days reaches the maximum value of 26.2 MPa, and the compressive strength of UHPC with 6 wt.% corrugated BCSFs at 28 days reaches the maximum value of 142.3 MPa. With the increase in straight BCSF content from 1 wt.% to 6 wt.%, the porosity in mix UHPC reduces gradually from 18.4% to 8.3%. The length of average crack spacing is dependent on the straight BCSF content. With the increase in straight BCSF content from 1 wt.% to 6 wt.%, the average crack length reduces gradually from 34.2 mm to 12.1 mm, and the average crack width reduces gradually from 0.78 mm to less than 0.1 mm. During crack extension, part of the energy in the UHPC mixture specimen with the 6 wt.% BCSF content flows into the crack tip region converted into the work dissipated during the bridging process. The crack propagation resistance of the UHPC mixture with straight BCSFs was improved compared with those with corrugated and hooked BCSFs. The bond strength between the BCSFs and UHPC matrix was enhanced by using vibrational mixing, and the brass film coated on the BCSFs contributes to increase the flexural and compressive strength of the UHPC mixture. Beauveria bassiana is a globally distributed entomopathogenic fungus that produces various secondary metabolites to support its pathogenesis in insects. Two polyketide synthase genes, pks14 and pks15, are highly conserved in entomopathogenic fungi and are important for insect virulence. However, understanding of their mechanisms in insect pathogenicity is still limited. Here, we overexpressed these two genes in B. bassiana and compared the metabolite profiles of pks14 and pks15 overexpression strains to those of their respective knockout strains in culture and in vivo using tandem liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) with Global Natural Products Social Molecular Networking (GNPS). The pks14 and pks15 clusters exhibited crosstalk with biosynthetic clusters encoding insect-virulent metabolites, including beauvericins, bassianolide, enniatin A, and the intracellular siderophore ferricrocin under certain conditions. These secondary metabolites were upregulated in the pks14-overexpressing strain in culture and the pks15-overexpressing strain in vivo. These data suggest that pks14 and pks15, their proteins or their cluster components might be directly or indirectly associated with key pathways in insect pathogenesis of B. bassiana, particularly those related to secondary metabolism. Information about interactions between the polyketide clusters and other biosynthetic clusters improves scientific understanding about crosstalk among biosynthetic pathways and mechanisms of pathogenesis. To overcome major limiting factors of microbial processes in anaerobic digestion (AD), metal and metal ions have been extensively studied. However, there is confusion about the effects of metals and metal ions on biomethane productivity in previous research. In this study, Zn and Zn2+ were selected as representatives of metals and metal ions, respectively, to investigate the effects on biomethane productivity. After the metals and metal ions at different concentrations were added to the batch AD experiments under the same mesophilic conditions, a Zn dose of 1 g/L and a Zn2+ dose of 4 mg/L were found to cause the highest biomethane production, respectively. The results indicate that metal (Zn) and metal ion (Zn2+) have different mechanisms to improve AD performance. There may be two possible explanations. To act as conductive materials in interspecies electron transfer (IET), relatively high doses of metals (e.g., 1 g/L of Zn, 10 g/L of Fe) are needed to bridge the electron transfer from syntrophic bacteria to methanogenic archaea in the AD process. As essential mineral nutrients, the AD system requires relatively low doses of metal ions (e.g., 4 mg/L of Zn2+, 5 mg/L of Fe2+) to supplement the component of various enzymes that catalyze anaerobic reactions and transformations. Gut microbiota play a key role in health maintenance and disease pathogenesis in animals. Dietary phytochemicals are crucial factors shaping gut bacteria. Here, we investigated the function and mechanism of a phytogenic formulation, EUBIO-BPSG (BP), in laying hens. We found that BP dose-dependently improved health and egg production in 54-week-old hens. Furthermore, BP was correlated with increased fecal Lactobacillus, decreased Escherichia coli and Salmonella enterica, and reduced antibiotic resistance (AR) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARG) in chicken stools. The 16S rDNA data showed that BP increased seven genera of probiotics and reduced 13 genera of pathogens in chicken feces. In vitro co-culture experiments showed that BP at 4 µg/mL and above promoted growth of L. reuteri while large 100- and 200-fold higher doses suppressed growth of E. coli and S. enterica, respectively. Mechanistic studies indicated that L. reuteri and its supernatants antagonized growth of E. coli and S. enterica but not vice-versa. Five short-chain fatty acids and derivatives (SCFA) produced from L. reuteri directly killed both pathogens via membrane destruction. Furthermore, BP inhibited conjugation and recombination of ARG via interference with conjugation machinery and integrase activity in E. coli. Collectively, this work suggests that BP promotes host health and reproductive performance in laying hens through regulation of gut microbiota through increasing probiotics and decreasing pathogens and spreading ARG. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) is among the most common pathogens associated with healthcare-acquired infections, and is often antibiotic resistant, causing significant morbidity and mortality in cases of P. aeruginosa bacteremia. It remains unclear how the incidence of P. aeruginosa bacteremia changed during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, with studies showing almost contradictory conclusions despite enhanced infection control practices during the pandemic. This systematic review sought to examine published reports with incidence rates for P. aeruginosa bacteremia during (defined as from March 2020 onwards) and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematic literature search was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines and performed in Cochrane, Embase, and Medline with combinations of the key words (pseudomonas aeruginosa OR PAE) AND (incidence OR surveillance), from database inception until 1 December 2022. Based on the pre-defined inclusion criteria, a total of eight studies were eligible for review. Prior to the pandemic, the prevalence of P. aeruginosa was on an uptrend. Several international reports found a slight increase in the incidence of P. aeruginosa bacteremia during the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings collectively highlight the continued importance of good infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship during both pandemic and non-pandemic periods. It is important to implement effective infection prevention and control measures, including ensuring hand hygiene, stepping up environmental cleaning and disinfection efforts, and developing timely guidelines on the appropriate prescription of antibiotics. Simple Summary: Classical swine fever is a highly dangerous pathogen affecting domestic pigs. Vaccination with the modified live vaccine is critical for preventing and controlling classical swine fever. However, many factors, such as maternally derived antibodies via colostrum, could interfere with live vaccine efficacy, leading to incomplete protection in commercial herds. In this study, we investigated the transmission of classical swine fever virus in experimental piglets with various post-vaccination immune statuses. A specific-pathogen-free piglet infected with classical swine fever virus served as the viral donor and primary invader, and was cohabited with piglets with maternally derived antibodies that had or had not undergone vaccination. According to the results, most of the piglets with maternally derived antibodies that were vaccinated were fully protected from contact transmission from the viral donor and blocked viral transmission to the third party (those piglets secondarily exposed through cohabitation). Cell-mediated immunity, represented by specific interferon-γ-secreting cells, served as the key to the viral clearance and recovery. Contrarily, the unvaccinated piglets with low levels of maternally derived antibodies had accelerated classical swine fever virus infection following viral invasion. In conclusion, vaccination still induces solid immunity in commercial herds under maternally derived antibody interference and can block viral transmission in herds. Classical swine fever (CSF) is a systemic hemorrhagic disease affecting domestic pigs and wild boars. The modified live vaccine (MLV) induces quick and solid protection against CSF virus (CSFV) infection. Maternally derived antibodies (MDAs) via colostrum could interfere with the MLV's efficacy, leading to incomplete protection against CSFV infection for pigs. This study investigated CSFV transmission among experimental piglets with various post-MLV immune statuses. Nineteen piglets, 18 with MDAs and 1 specific-pathogen-free piglet infected with CSFV that served as the CSFV donor, were cohabited with piglets that had or had not been administered the MLV. Five-sixths of the piglets with MDAs that had been administered one dose of MLV were fully protected from contact transmission from the CSFV donor and did not transmit CSFV to the piglets secondarily exposed through cohabitation. Cell-mediated immunity, represented by the anti-CSFV-specific interferon-γ-secreting cells, was key to viral clearance and recovery. After cohabitation with a CSFV donor, the unvaccinated piglets with low MDA levels exhibited CSFV infection and spread CSFV to other piglets through contact; those with high MDA levels recovered but acted as asymptomatic carriers. Electric discharge machining (EDM) is a type of high-precision machining usually applied to hard-material machining for mold manufacturing and in the aerospace industry. Longer process times typically reduce facility efficiency. The use of electrochemistry machining (ECM) can overcome this challenge to efficiently machine large workpieces. Some industries have adopted and combined these two processes for Inconel 718 material machining. However, the use of coordinate-measuring machine times to determine the machining accuracy of these two processes is difficult. This study matched process features by analyzing the electric driving pulses of ECM and EDM. Fitting intelligent sensing signals that respond to dimensional measurements can be used to analyze electrical pulse signals. For analyzing a cross-process model using extracted key features of the process, our feedback-based system determines lower machining measurement errors and improves geometric size. In this study, an Al2O33D/5083 Al composite was fabricated by infiltrating a molten 5083 Al alloy into a three-dimensional alumina reticulated porosity ceramics skeleton preform (Al2O33D) using a pressureless infiltration method. The corrosion resistance of 5083 Al alloy and Al2O33D/5083 Al in NaCl solution were compared via electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), dynamic polarization potential (PDP), and neutral salt spray (NSS) tests. The microstructure of the two materials were investigated by 3D X-ray microscope and scanning electron microscopy aiming at understanding the corrosion mechanisms. Results show that an Al2O33D/5083 Al composite consists of interpenetrating structure of 3D-continuous matrices of continuous networks 5083 Al alloy and Al2O33D phase. A large area of strong interfaces of 5083 Al and Al2O33D exist in the Al2O33D/5083 Al composite. The corrosion development process can be divided into the initial period, the development period, and the stability period. Al2O33D used as reinforcement in Al2O33D/5083 Al composite improves the corrosion resistance of Al2O33D/5083 Al composite via electrochemistry tests. Thus, the corrosion resistance of Al2O33D/5083 Al is higher than that of 5083 Al alloy. The NSS test results indicate that the corrosion resistance of Al2O33D/5083 Al was lower than that of 5083 Al alloy during the initial period, higher than that of 5083 Al alloy during the development period, and there was no obvious difference in corrosion resistance during the stability period. It is considered that the elements in 5083 Al alloy infiltrated into the Al2O33D/5083 Al composite are segregated, and the uniform distribution of the segregated elements leads to galvanic corrosion during the corrosion initial period. In this study, the two eco-friendly flame retardants of the polymeric type (PA-PEI) and monomeric type (PA-Arg) phytate amine complexes were prepared via the ionic reaction of polyethylenimine (PEI) or arginine (Arg), respectively, with phytic acid in an aqueous solution. The chemical structure and thermal stability of PA-PEI and PA-Arg were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). In order to improve the flame retardancy of the polylactic acid (PLA)/polybutylene succinate (PBS) biocomposites (P/15B-based biocomposites), the flame retardants PA-PEI and PA-Arg were embedded into P/15B by thermal blending procedures, respectively, to obtain P/15B/PA-PEI series and P/15B/PA-Arg series biocomposites. The TGA analyses demonstrated that incorporating PA-PEI or PA-Arg into the P/15B polymer enhances the char residues in these P/15B biocomposites. The XRD and SEM analyses of the P/15B/PA-PEI series and P/15B/PA-Arg series suggested the PA-PEI and PA-Arg were embedded into the P/15B polymer matrixes, respectively. The mechanical results showed that P/15B/PA-Arg series exhibited higher values than the P/15B/PA-PEI series biocomposite, which were associated with less roughness of P/15B/PA-Arg than that of the P/15B/PA-PEI series. The flammability results of the P/15B/PA-PEI series and P/15B/PA-Arg series biocomposites exhibited a V-2 level in UL94 vertical test. Further, the fire resistance performance of P/15B-based biocomposites was enhanced by incorporating PA-PEI or PA-Arg into the P/15B matrix through the analyses of the Cone calorimeter test (CCT), as a comparison with neat P/15B. The peak heat release rate (pHRR), the total heat release rate (THR), and char residues of P/15B/15PA-Arg biocomposite were significantly improved to 280.26 kW/m2, 107.89 MJ/m2, and 10.4%, respectively. The enhancement of the P/15B-based composites' fire resistance is attributed to the interplay effect on the catalytic and condensed effect on the thermal decomposition of PA-PEI or PA-Arg in P/15B biocomposites. The spring steel for automotive stabilizer bars has a great responsibility in that its quality directly affects the stability, safety, and comfort of vehicle operation. The isothermal thermal compression behavior of a novel lean Si spring steel that was used to manufacture an anti-roll bar was investigated with a DIL805A/D quenching thermal dilatometer in this research. A hyperbolic sine type of constitutive model was established, and hot processing maps were produced to evaluate the experimental steel's hot workability properties. The experimental results suggest that dynamic recrystallization (DRX) preferentially occurs at a low strain rate and high thermal processing temperature, while the processing maps of the experimental steel are susceptible to strain. The instability regions increase as the strain increases. The processing maps' stable and instable domains should be decided upon comprehensive analysis of the instability criterion, power dissipation efficiency, and strain rate sensitivity index. The optimum parameters of hot processing for the experimental steel at various strains are that the deformation temperature of 1000–1150 °C and the strain rate of 0.1, approximately. Simple Summary: Mitigating the possible adverse environmental impacts caused by transgene flow from genetically engineered crops to their wild/weedy relatives is an ideal strategy for resolving biosafety problems. To explore a transgene mitigation system in rice, we edited the seed-shattering genes (SH4 and qSH1) of a weedy rice line with strong seed shattering. The results showed substantially reduced seed shattering in the gene-edited weedy rice lines. The single gene-edited weedy rice lines displayed an inconsistent reduction in seed size-related traits. Reduced seed shattering was closely linked with a lack of abscission layers and reduced abscisic acid (ABA). In addition, most examined genes that were closely associated with ABA biosynthesis, ABA signaling transduction, and cell wall hydrolysis were downregulated in the gene-edited weedy rice lines. These findings can assist in exploring the underlying mechanisms of reduced seed shattering in weedy rice plants, in addition to practical applications for mitigating environmental impacts caused by transgene flow and for controlling the infestation of weedy rice. Mitigating the function of acquired transgenes in crop wild/weedy relatives can provide an ideal strategy to reduce the possible undesired environmental impacts of pollen-mediated transgene flow from genetically engineered (GE) crops. The regulation of high sea fishing would not be successful without cooperation among the states in the current international society, without a world government. However, the ongoing quest for cooperation in the field of fishery governance focuses too much on the unilateral responsibility of a state to cooperate with a RFMO, overlooking the responsibility of state parties of an RFMO or the state seeking to regulate IUU fishing. This essay reveals that the equitable consideration of fishery governance is sometimes prejudiced in the name of conservation. Fishery governance involves food security, employment, free trade, and the environment. An ideal regime of high sea fishing is expected to balance the conflicting values and bring an end to the fragmentation of international law. The systemic interpretation approach, which is based on Article 31, paragraph 3(c) of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, contributes to a fairer governance of high sea fishing. Such an approach revives the obligation of the state to cooperate in the fishery sector by referring to external legal sources, including human rights laws, WTO laws, and environmental laws. With the development of urbanization, the transportation network of underground tunnels has been gradually formed and improved. It is a complicated issue for engineering construction when two municipal road tunnels intersect at one point. Based on a construction site of the crossing point of the Huayuan Road Tunnel and Luzhou Road Tunnel in Hefei City, China, the finite element analysis method is used to calculate and analyze the deformation characteristics of the crossing point of the tunnels during the asymmetric construction of connecting parts. The deformation behaviors of the crossing point of tunnels subjected to symmetrical construction are also studied for comparison. Results show that the deformations of the supporting pile and tunnel frame structures increase rapidly when they are subjected to asymmetric construction, while the lateral movement of the supporting pile and the deformation of the tunnel structure can be greatly limited when the symmetrical construction method is adopted. Federated learning has been attracting increasing amounts of attention for its potential applications in disease diagnosis within the medical field due to privacy preservation and its ability to solve data silo problems. However, the inconsistent distributions of client-side data significantly degrade the performance of traditional federated learning. To eliminate the adverse effects of non-IID problems on federated learning performance on multiple medical institution datasets, this paper proposes a cyclic federated learning method based on distribution information sharing and knowledge distillation for medical data (CFL_DS_KD). The method is divided into two main phases. The first stage is an offline preparation process in which all clients train a generator model on local datasets and pass the generator to neighbouring clients to generate virtual shared data. The second stage is an online process that can also be mainly divided into two steps. The first step is a knowledge distillation learning process in which all clients first initialise the task model on the local datasets and share it with neighbouring clients. The clients then use the shared task model to guide the updating of their local task models on the virtual shared data. The second step simply re-updates the task model on the local datasets again and shares it with neighbouring clients. Millimeter-wave massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications can support enhanced V2X applications for connected and automated vehicles. The design of millimeter-wave V2X communications is, however, not exempt from challenges as a result of fast time-varying propagation and highly dynamic vehicular networks and topologies. To address some of these challenges, we propose an ultrasonic-aided tensor channel estimation for V2X millimeter-wave massive MIMO systems to improve the safety and traffic efficiency of cooperative automated driving. At the receiver, the dimension of multidimensional complex V2X information is reduced by the subspace tensor decomposition model. In order to quickly track beam angle changes caused by vehicle position changes, the ultrasonic-aided direction of arrival (DOA) tracking method is adopted to provide information about the surrounding environment. Based on the ultra-high resolution quantization grid and adaptive iterative update of the dictionary matrix, the DOA of the ultrasonic signal can be tracked. The angle update information of the millimeter-wave signal can be obtained by converting the estimated angle information. Using the cost function with global characteristics and ultrasonic-aided DOA tracking, a fast-layered alternating iterative tensor algorithm is proposed for joint iterative channel estimation. The relationship between clutch thermodynamic characteristics and contact states of friction components is explored numerically and experimentally. The clutch thermodynamic numerical model is developed with consideration of the contact state and oil film between friction pairs. The clutch bench test is conducted to verify the variation of the clutch thermodynamic characteristics from the uniform contact (UCS) to the intermittent contact (ICS). The results show that the oil film decreases gradually with increasing temperature; the lubrication state finally changes from hydrodynamic lubrication to dry friction, where the friction coefficient shows an increasing trend before a decrease. Thus, the friction torque in UCS gradually increases after the applied pressure stabilizes. When the contact state changes to ICS, the contact pressure increases suddenly and the oil film decreases rapidly in the local contact area, bringing about a sharp increase in friction torque; subsequently, the circumferential and radial temperature differences of friction components expand dramatically. However, if the contact zone is already in the dry friction state, friction torque declines directly, resulting in clutch failure. Identifying disease-related miRNAs can improve the understanding of complex diseases. However, experimentally finding the association between miRNAs and diseases is expensive in terms of time and resources. The computational screening of reliable miRNA–disease associations has thus become a necessary tool to guide biological experiments. "Similar miRNAs will be associated with the same disease" is the assumption on which most current miRNA–disease association prediction methods rely; however, biased prior knowledge, and incomplete and inaccurate miRNA similarity data and disease similarity data limit the performance of the model. Here, we propose heuristic learning based on graph neural networks to predict microRNA–disease associations (HLGNN-MDA). We learn the local graph topology features of the predicted miRNA–disease node pairs using graph neural networks. In particular, our improvements to the graph convolution layer of the graph neural network enable it to learn information among homogeneous nodes and among heterogeneous nodes. We illustrate the performance of HLGNN-MDA by performing tenfold cross-validation against excellent baseline models. The results show that we have promising performance in multiple metrics. We also focus on the role of the improvements to the graph convolution layer in the model. The case studies are supported by evidence on breast cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. The remaining useful life (RUL) of bearings based on deep learning methods has been increasingly used. However, there are still two obstacles in deep learning RUL prediction: (1) the training process of the deep learning model requires enough data, but run-to-failure data are limited in the actual industry; (2) the mutual dependence between RUL predictions at different time instants are commonly ignored in existing RUL prediction methods. To overcome these problems, a RUL prediction method combining the data augmentation strategy and Wiener–LSTM network is proposed. First, the Sobol sampling strategy is implemented to augment run-to-failure data based on the degradation model. Then, the Wiener–LSTM model is developed for the RUL prediction of bearings. Different from the existing LSTM-based bearing RUL methods, the Wiener–LSTM model utilizes the Wiener process to represent the mutual dependence between the predicted RUL results at different time instants and embeds the Wiener process into the LSTM to control the uncertainty of the result. A joint optimization strategy is applied in the construction of the loss function. The efficacy and superiority of the proposed method are verified on a rolling bearing dataset obtained from the PRONOSTIA platform. Compared with the conventional bearing RUL prediction methods, the proposed method can effectively augment the bearing run-to-failure data and, thus, improve the prediction results. Meanwhile, fluctuations of the bearing RUL prediction result are significantly suppressed by the proposed method, and the prediction errors of the proposed method are much lower than other comparative methods.
