Addressing the boundary value problems of fractional-order differential equations hold significant importance due to their applications in various fields. The aim of this paper was to approximate solutions for a class of boundary value problems involving Caputo fractional-order differential equations employing the AA-iterative scheme. Moreover, the stability and data dependence results of the iterative scheme were given for a certain class of mappings. Finally, a numerical experiment was illustrated to support the results presented herein. A new class of nonlocal boundary value problems consisting of multi-term delay fractional differential equations and multipoint-integral boundary conditions is studied in this paper. We derive a more general form of the solution for the given problem by applying a fractional integral operator of an arbitrary order βξ instead of β1; for details, see Lemma 2.2. The given problem is converted into an equivalent fixed-point problem to apply the tools of fixed-point theory. The existence of solutions for the given problem is established through the use of a nonlinear alternative of the Leray-Schauder theorem, while the uniqueness of its solutions is shown with the aid of Banach's fixed-point theorem. We also discuss the stability criteria, icluding Ulam-Hyers, generalized Ulam-Hyers, Ulam-Hyers-Rassias, and generalized Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stability, for solutions of the problem at hand. For illustration of the abstract results, we present examples. Our results are new and useful for the discipline of multi-term fractional differential equations related to hydrodynamics. This paper proposes a new highly effective method for determining the optimal control of the stress-strain state of spatially multi-connected composite bodies using a stationary temperature field. The proposed method is considered based on the example of a stationary axisymmetric thermoelastic problem for a space with a spherical inclusion and cavity. The proposed method is based on the generalized Fourier method and reduces the original problem to an equivalent problem of optimal control, in which the state of the object is determined by an infinite system of linear algebraic equations, the right-hand side of which parametrically depends on the control. At the same time, the functional of the cost of the initial problem is transformed into a quadratic functional, which depends on the state of the equivalent system and parametrically on the control. The limitation on the temperature distribution is replaced by the value of the control norm in the space of square summable sequenc es. In fact, this paper considers for the first time the problem of optimal control of an infinite system of linear algebraic equations and develops a method for its solution. The proposed method is based on presenting the solutions of infinite systems in a parametric form, which makes it possible to reduce equivalent problem to the problem of conditional extremum of a quadratic functional, which explicitly depends on the control. As an important result necessary for substantiation, for the first time, an estimate from below of the module of the multi-parameter determinant of the resolving system of the boundary value problem of conjugation – space with a spherical inclusion – was obtained when solving it using the Fourier method. The theorem that establishes the conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the solution of equivalent problem or optimal control problem without restrictions in the space of square summable sequences is proved. The numerical algorithm is based on a reduction method for infinite systems of linear algebraic equations. Estimates of the practical accuracy of the numerical algorithm demo nstrated the stability of the method and sufficiently high accuracy even with close location of the boundary surfaces. Graphs showing the optimal temperature distribution for various geometric parameters of the problem and their analysis are provided. This paper discusses the existence of solutions for fractional differential equations with nonlocal boundary conditions (NFDEs) under essential assumptions. The boundary conditions incorporate a point 0 ≤ c < d and fixed points at the end of the interval [0, d]. For i = 0, 1, the boundary conditions are as follows: ai, bi > 0, a0p(c) = -b0p(d), a1p'(c) = -b1p'(d). Furthermore, the research aims to expand the usability and comprehension of these results to encompass not just NFDEs but also classical fractional differential equations (FDEs) by using the Krasnoselskii fixedpoint theorem and the contraction principle to improve the completeness and usefulness of the results in a wider context of fractional differential equations. For various kinds of parabolic and elliptic partial differential and differential-difference equations, results on the stabilization of solutions are presented. For the Cauchy problem for parabolic equations, the stabilization is treated as the existence of a limit as the time unboundedly increases. For the half-space Dirichlet problem for parabolic equations, the stabilization is treated as the existence of a limit as the independent variable orthogonal to the boundary half-plane unboundedly increases. In the classical case of the heat equation, the necessary and sufficient condition of the stabilization consists of the existence of the limit of mean values of the initial-value (boundary-value) function over balls as the ball radius tends to infinity. For all linear problems considered in the present paper, this property is preserved (including elliptic equations and differential-difference equations). The Wiener Tauberian theorem is used to establish this property. To investigate the differential-difference case, we use the fact that translation operators are Fourier multipliers (as well as differential operators), which allows one to use a standard Gel'fand-Shilov operational scheme. For all quasilinear problems considered in the present paper, the mean value from the stabilization criterion is changed: It undergoes a monotonic map, which is explicitly constructed for each investigated nonlinear boundary-value problem. The aim of this paper is to determine the eigenvalue intervals of μk; 1 < k < n for which an iterative systems of a class of fractional-order differential equations with parameterized integral boundary conditions (BCs) has at least one positive solution by means of standard fixed point theorem of cone type. To the best of our knowledge, this will be the first time that we attempt to reach such findings for the topic at hand in the literature. Asymmetry plays a significant role in the transmission dynamics in novel discrete fractional calculus. Few studies have mathematically modeled such asymmetry properties, and none have developed discrete models that incorporate different symmetry developmental stages. This paper introduces a Taylor monomial falling function and presents some properties of this function in a delta fractional model with Green's function kernel. In the deterministic case, Green's function will be non-negative, and this shows that the function has an upper bound for its maximum point. More precisely, in this paper, based on the properties of the Taylor monomial falling function, we investigate Lyapunov-type inequalities for a delta fractional boundary value problem of Riemann–Liouville type. Faber series are used extensively in the application of complex variable methods to two-dimensional elasticity theory, for example, in the mechanical analysis of composite materials where Faber series representations of complex potentials lead to convenient expressions for the corresponding displacement and stress distributions. In many cases, the use of the Faber series is combined with conformal mapping techniques which "transfer" a boundary value problem defined in the elastic body (physical plane) to a simpler problem posed in an imaginary plane characterized by the conformal mapping. In several instances in the literature, however, little attention has been paid to the domain of definition of the Faber series in the imaginary plane leading often to misunderstandings and erroneous conclusions regarding the concept and feasibility of the use of the Faber series. In this paper, we present a thorough and rigorous examination of the representation of the Faber series in both the physical (occupied by the material) and imaginary (defined by the conformal mapping) plane. In addition, we show that replacing a truncated Faber series by a truncated Taylor series does not induce any additional errors in the numerical analysis of the corresponding boundary value problem. We anticipate that the discussion in this paper will help clarify any existing misinterpretations regarding the application of the Faber series and help further extend their use to a range of problems in composite mechanics. The paper presents the structure and application of a regional scale operational modelling tool for the West Iberian coast. The forecasting suite includes nested hydrodynamic models forced with up-to-date meteorological forecast data and large scale model results as lateral boundary conditions. The present status of the system and its recent upgrades are reviewed, offering a general description of the main components of the system: circulation model, qualitative and quantitative validation methodology and type of results. Seasonal differences in temperature, salinity and current velocity fields are illustrated with model results, and the validation shows a satisfactory repro duction of the top and deep layers thermodynamics. The system provides boundary forcing for a number of local scale model applications via downscaling of the solution, and its potential for products and services for both scientific and coastal management activities is discussed here. We present a new equation describing the hydrodynamics in infinitely long tidal channels (i.e., no reflection) under the influence of oceanic forcing. The proposed equation is a simple relationship between partial derivatives of water level and velocity. It is formally derived for a progressive wave in a frictionless, prismatic, tidal channel with a horizontal bed. Assessment of a large number of numerical simulations, where an open boundary condition is posed at a certain distance landward, suggests that it can also be considered accurate in the more natural case of converging estuaries with nonlinear friction and a bed slope. The equation follows from the open boundary condition and is therefore a part of the problem formulation for an infinite tidal channel. This finding provides a practical tool for evaluating tidal wave dynamics, by reconstructing the temporal variation of the velocity based on local observations of the water level, providing a fully local open boundary condition and allowing for local friction calibration. In order to easily enforce solid-wall boundary conditions in the presence of complex coastlines, we propose a new mass and energy conserving Brinkman penalization for the rotating shallow water equations. This penalization does not lead to higher wave speeds in the solid region. The error estimates for the penalization are derived analytically and verified numerically for linearized one dimensional equations. The penalization is implemented in a conservative dynamically adaptive wavelet method for the rotating shallow water equations on the sphere with bathymetry and coastline data from NOAA's ETOPO1 database. This code could form the dynamical core for a future global ocean model. The potential of the dynamically adaptive ocean model is illustrated by using it to simulate the 2004 Indonesian tsunami and wind-driven gyres. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we consider the initial and boundary value problem for the beam equation with the compressible stress function which has the singularity point with respect to the nonlinear strain. This problem is proposed as the mathematical model for representing motions of closed elastic curves on the plane in our previous work. We have already shown the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the problem with the Lipschitz continuous stress function on R. We have also proved the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions and strong solutions to the problem with the viscosity term and the compressible stress function. Our aim of this paper is to establish a theorem for existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the energy conservation problem with the compressible stress function. This paper presents the ECCO v4 non-linear inverse modeling framework and its baseline solution for the evolving ocean state over the period 1992-2011. Both components are publicly available and highly integrated with the MITgcm. They are both subjected to regular, automated regression tests. The modeling framework includes sets of global conformal grids, a global model setup, implementations of model-data constraints and adjustable control parameters, an interface to algorithmic differentiation, as well as a grid-independent, fully capable Matlab toolbox. The reference ECCO v4 solution is a dynamically consistent ocean state estimate (ECCO-Production, release 1) without un-identified sources of heat and buoyancy, which any interested user will be able to reproduce accurately. The solution is an acceptable fit to most data and has been found physically plausible in many respects, as documented here and in related publications. Users are being provided with capabilities to assess model-data misfits for themselves. The synergy between modeling and data synthesis is asserted through the joint presentation of the modeling framework and the state estimate. In particular, the inverse estimate of parameterized physics was instrumental in improving the fit to the observed hydrography, and becomes an integral part of the ocean model setup available for general use. More generally, a first assessment of the relative importance of external, parametric and structural model errors is presented. Parametric and external model uncertainties appear to be of comparable importance and dominate over structural model uncertainty. In this article, the symmetric operator L corresponding to the boundary value problem is represented as the difference of two commuting operators A and  B.  The uniqueness of the solution is guaranteed if the spectra of the operators A and B do not intersect and the domain of the operator B is given by non-degenerate boundary conditions. In contrast to the existing papers, the criterion for the uniqueness of the boundary value problem formulated in this paper is satisfied even when the system of root functions of the operator B does not form a basis in the corresponding space. The rationale of this work is to introduce the notion of graphical symmetric spaces and some fixed-point results are proved for H - (ϑ , φ) -contractions in this setting. The idea of graphical symmetric spaces generalizes various spaces equipped with a function which characterizes the distance between two points of the space. Some topological properties of graphical symmetric spaces are discussed. Some fixed-point results for the mappings defined on graphical symmetric spaces are proved. The fixed-point results of this paper generalize and extend several fixed-point results in this new setting. We study global attractors A = A f of semiflows generated by semilinear partial parabolic differential equations of the form u t = u xx + f (x , u , u x) , 0 < x < 1 , satisfying Neumann boundary conditions. The equilibria v ∈ E ⊂ A of the semiflow are the stationary solutions of the PDE, hence they are solutions of the corresponding second order ODE boundary value problem. Assuming hyperbolicity of all equilibria, the dynamic decomposition of A into unstable manifolds of equilibria provides a geometric and topological characterization of Sturm global attractors A as finite regular signed CW-complexes, the Sturm complexes, with cells given by the unstable manifolds of equilibria. Concurrently, the permutation σ = σ f derived from the ODE boundary value problem by ordering the equilibria according to their values at the boundaries x = 0 , 1 , respectively, completely determines the Sturm global attractor A . Equivalently, we use a planar curve, the meander M = M f , associated to the the ODE boundary value problem by shooting. In the previous paper (Fiedler and Rocha in J Dyn Differ Equ, 2020. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10884-020-09836-5), we set up to determine the boundary neighbors of any specific unstable equilibrium O , based exclusively on the information on the corresponding signed hemisphere complex. In addition, a certain minimax property of the boundary neighbors was established. In the signed hemisphere decomposition of the cell boundary of O , this property identifies the equilibria which are closest to, or most distant from, O at the boundaries x = 0 , 1 , in each hemisphere. The main objective of the present paper is to derive this minimax property directly from the Sturm permutation σ , or equivalently from the Sturm meander M , based on the Sturm nodal properties of the solutions of the ODE boundary value problem. This minimax result simplifies the task of identifying the equilibria on the cell boundary of each unstable equilibrium, directly from the Sturm meander M . We emphasize the local aspect of this result by an example for which the identification of the equilibria is obtained from the knowledge of only a segment of the Sturm meander M . This paper proves the well-posedness of locally smooth solutions to the free boundary value problem for the 1D degenerate drift diffusion equation. At the free boundary, the drift diffusion equation becomes a degenerate hyperbolic-Poisson coupled equation. We apply the Hardy's inequality and weighted Sobolev spaces to construct the appropriate a priori estimates, overcome the degeneracy of the system and successfully establish the existence of solutions in the Lagrangian coordinates. In the first part of this paper, we consider a partially overdetermined mixed boundary value problem in space forms and generalize the main result in [11] to the case of general domains with partial umbilical boundary in space forms. Precisely, we prove that a partially overdetermined problem in a domain with partial umbilical boundary admits a solution if and only if the rest part of the boundary is also part of an umbilical hypersurface. In the second part of this paper, we prove a Heintze–Karcher–Ros-type inequality for embedded hypersurfaces with free boundary lying on a horosphere or an equidistant hypersurface in the hyperbolic space. This paper focuses on the analysis of a coupled system governed by a Caputo-fractional derivative with q-integral-coupled boundary conditions. This system is particularly relevant in modeling multi-atomic systems, including scenarios involving adsorbed atoms or clusters on crystalline surfaces, surface–atom scattering, and atomic friction. To investigate this system, we introduce an operator that exhibits fixed points corresponding to the solutions of the problem, effectively transforming the system into an equivalent fixed-point problem. We established the necessary conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solutions using the Leray–Schauder nonlinear alternative and the Banach contraction mapping principle, respectively. Stability results in the Ulam sense for the coupled system are also discussed, along with a sensitivity analysis of the range parameters. To support the validity of their findings, we provide illustrative examples. Overall, the paper offers a thorough examination and analysis of the considered coupled system, making important contributions to the understanding of multi-atomic systems and their mathematical modeling. In this paper, we establish the uniqueness and existence of the classical solution to higher-order boundary value problems. Then, we give a new Lyapunov-type inequalities for higher order boundary value problems. Our study is based on Green’s functions corresponding to the five different types of two-point boundary value problems. In addition, some applications of the obtained inequalities are given. This research article addresses a nonclassical initial boundary value problem characterized by a non-local constraint within the framework of a pseudo-hyperbolic equation. Employing rigorous analytical techniques, the paper establishes the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence of a strong solution to the problem at hand. With respect to the associated linear problem, the uniqueness of its solution is ascertained through an energy inequality, which provides an a priori bound for the solution. Moreover, the solvability of this linear problem is verified by proving that the operator range engendered by the problem is indeed dense. Extending the analysis to the nonlinear problem, an iterative methodology is utilized. This approach is predicated on the insights gained from the linear problem and facilitates the demonstration of both the existence and uniqueness of a solution for the nonlinear problem under study. Consequently, the paper contributes a robust mathematical framework for solving both linear and nonlinear variants of complex initial boundary value problems with non-local constraints. We propose necessary and sufficient conditions for the negativity of the two-point boundary value problem in the form of the Vallée-Poussin theorem about differential inequalities for the Hadamard fractional functional differential problem ... Here, the operator T:C→L∞ can be an operator with deviation (of delayed or advanced type), an integral operator or various linear combinations and superpositions. For example, the operator can be of the forms (Tx)(t)=q(t)x(t-τ(t)), (Tx)(t)=∫e1Q(t,s)x(θ(s))ds or (Tx)(t)=∫e1x(s)dsQ(t,s). We obtain explicit tests of negativity of Green's function in the form of algebraic inequalities. Transported air pollutants receive increasing attention as regulations tighten and global concentrations increase. The need to represent international transport in regional air quality assessments requires improved representation of boundary concentrations. Currently available observations are too sparse vertically to provide boundary information, particularly for ozone precursors, but global simulations can be used to generate spatially and temporally varying Lateral Boundary Conditions (LBC). This study presents a public database of global simulations designed and evaluated for use as LBC for air quality models (AQMs). The database covers the contiguous United States (CONUS) for the years 2000-2010 and contains hourly varying concentrations of ozone, aerosols, and their precursors. The database is complimented by a tool for configuring the global results as inputs to regional scale models (e.g., Community Multiscale Air Quality or Comprehensive Air quality Model with extensions). This study also presents an example application based on the CONUS domain, which is evalu15 ated against satellite retrieved ozone vertical profiles. The results show performance is largely within uncertainty estimates for the Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer (TES) with some exceptions. The major difference shows a high bias in the upper troposphere along the southern boundary in January. This publication documents the global simulation database, the tool for conversion to LBC, and the fidelity of concentrations on the boundaries. Hemispheric transport of air pollutants can have a significant impact on regional air quality, as well as on the effect of air pollutants on regional climate. An accurate representation of hemispheric transport in regional chemical transport models (CTMs) depends on the specification of the lateral boundary conditions (LBCs). This study investigates the use of new LBCs of two moderately long-lived trace gases, CO and O3, for the European model domain. The LBCs are generated by use of the global EMEP MSC-W model; they are evaluated at the lateral boundaries by comparison with satellite observations of the Terra/MOPITT sensor (CO) and the Aura/OMI sensor (O3) for use with European domain calculations with the Swedish Multi-scale Atmospheric Transport and CHemistry (MATCH) model. The LBCs from the global EMEP model lie well within the satellite uncertainties for both CO and O3. The biases increase below 700 hPa for both species, although it should be noted that satellite data below this height are more influenced by a priori data and hence less reliable than at e.g. 500 hPa. CO is, on average, underestimated by the global model, while O3 tends to be overestimated during winter, and underestimated during summer. Next, the validated LBCs are applied in a dynamical and climatological setup, respectively, to the MATCH model, set up over the European domain. The MATCH results obtained with climatological and dynamic LBCs are then validated against independent satellite retrievals from the Aqua/AIRS sensor at 500 hPa, and against in situ ground observations from the Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) network. The application of the EMEP LBCs in the regional MATCH model greatly impacted the model results. The direct impact on ground-level concentrations strongly depends on the distance from the inflow boundary. The improvements of dynamic over climatological LBCs become most apparent when using AOT40 as a metric. Also, when focusing at ground observations taken near the inflow boundary of the model domain, one finds that the use of dynamical LBCs yields a more accurate representation of the seasonal variation, as well as of the variability of the trace gas concentrations on shorter time scales. The greatest impact from the new LBCs, was seen aloft in the free troposphere. Taking AIRS retrievals as a reference, the use of LBCs substantially improves spatial pattern correlations in the free troposphere as compared to results obtained with the LBCs that were originally used in MATCH. The interior inverse elastic scattering problem is considered in this paper. The scattering in the cavity is illuminated by an time-harmonic elastic point source at fixed frequency. The boundary of the cavity is assumed to be a small and smooth perturbation of some circle. In this paper, we are interested in the reconstruction of the boundary according to the measured data on a closed curve inside the cavity. In implementation, we split the displacement field into compressional and shear waves by the Helmholtz decomposition. Then we use coordinate transformation, power series expansion based on perturbed parameters and Fourier expansion of corresponding power series coefficients to simplify the original boundary value problem to a successive sequence of one-dimensional boundary value problem. We linearize the inverse problem by eliminating the higher-order terms in the power series expansion; and design a reconstruction algorithm by the explicit relationship between the Fourier coefficients of the boundary function and the total field. In order to obtain better resolution, we also use a nonlinear correction method in the numerical experiments. Integrating evolutionary partial differential equations (PDEs) is an essential ingredient for studying the dynamics of the solutions. Indeed, simulations are at the core of scientific computing, but their mathematical reliability is often difficult to quantify, especially when one is interested in the output of a given simulation, rather than in the asymptotic regime where the discretization parameter tends to zero. In this paper we present a computer-assisted proof methodology to perform rigorous time integration for scalar semilinear parabolic PDEs with periodic boundary conditions. We formulate an equivalent zero-finding problem based on a variation of constants formula in Fourier space. Using Chebyshev interpolation and domain decomposition, we then finish the proof with a Newton–Kantorovich type argument. The final output of this procedure is a proof of existence of an orbit, together with guaranteed error bounds between this orbit and a numerically computed approximation. We illustrate the versatility of the approach with results for the Fisher equation, the Swift–Hohenberg equation, the Ohta–Kawasaki equation and the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation. In this paper, we study the inverse problem of simultaneously identifying the mechanical load $ F(x,t) $ and heat source $ G(x,t) $ in structurally damped thermoelastic plate equations describing a homogeneous and elastically as well as thermally isotropic plate, from the vertical displacement $ u_T(x) = u(x,T) $ measured at the final time $ T>0 $. We establish the well-posedness of the initial boundary value problem and corresponding adjoint problem by using Galerkin's approximation method. The inverse problem is reformulated as a minimization problem for the Tikhonov functional using the Tikhonov regularization method. We prove that the regularized Tikhonov functional admits a unique solution in the naturally defined set of admissible sources. Furthermore, the Fréchet differentiability of this functional is proved, and an explicit gradient formula is derived through the weak solution of the corresponding adjoint problem. An upper bound for the final time $ T>0 $ is established to derive the stability estimate for the inverse problem by invoking a first-order necessary optimality condition for the minimization problem. This stability result also gives rise to the uniqueness of the solution to the regularized inverse problem. The results obtained in this paper help to analyze the influence of thermal and mechanical loading that results in materials deflection, which, in turn, is vital in terms of physical applications. In this paper we consider the vanishing viscosity limit of solutions to the initial boundary value problem for the compressible viscoelastic equations in the half space. When the initial deformation gradient does not degenerate and there is no vacuum initially, we establish the uniform regularity estimates of solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for the three-dimensional compressible viscoelastic equations in the Sobolev spaces. Then we justify the vanishing viscosity limit of solutions of the compressible viscoelastic equations based on the uniform regularity estimates and the compactness arguments. Both the no-slip boundary condition and the Navier-slip type boundary condition on velocity are addressed in this paper. On the one hand, for the corresponding vanishing viscosity limit of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations with the no-slip boundary condition, it is impossible to derive such uniform energy estimates of solutions due to the appearance of strong boundary layers. Consequently, our results show that the deformation gradient can prevent the formation of strong boundary layers. On the other hand, our results also provide two different kinds of boundary conditions suitable for the well-posedness of the initial-boundary value problem of the elastodynamic equations via the method of vanishing viscosity. Finally, it is worth noting that we take advantage of the Lagrangian coordinates to study the vanishing viscosity limit for the fixed boundary problem in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present paper explores a two‐dimensional mixed bio‐convective unsteady viscous hydro‐magnetic Casson Williamson nanofluid flow model with heat and mass transport incorporating motile microorganisms towards a stretchy spinning disc. The flow concept is accomplished by rotating a stretched disc with a time‐varying angular velocity. By applying a magnetic field normal to the axial direction, a magnetic interaction is taken into consideration. The Casson Williamson nanofluid contains nanosized particles suspended with swimming motile microorganisms and the rotation of the disc is exhibited by buoyancy forces, thermophoresis, suction/injection, zero mass flux conditions, variable thermal conductivity, Joule heating and so forth. The obtained flow narrating differential equations of the model are transformed into ordinary differential system. This is accomplished by simulating boundary value problems using the shooting technique using the ‘ND‐Solve’ approach included in the Mathematica software (Mathematica 12). The implications of the engaged parameters such as Williamson fluid parameter, Casson fluid (CF) parameter, thermophoresis parameter, Brownian motion parameter and so forth, on both axial and radial velocities, temperature, concentration of nanoparticles and microorganisms are explained by means of graphical and tabular constructions. This paper's validity has been confirmed and its findings align with those of other previously published papers. Furthermore, it is found that both the axial and radial velocity profiles are seen to be diminishing functions of the CF parameter. The identified observation may have theoretical implications for a number of engineering procedures, solar energy systems, biofuel cells and extrusion system improvement. In this paper, the solvability of a new class of nonlocal boundary value problems for the Poisson equation is studied. Nonlocal conditions are specified in the form of a connection between the values of the unknown function at different points of the boundary. In this case, the boundary operator is determined using matrices of involution-type mappings. Theorems on the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the studied problems are proved. Using Green's functions of the classical Dirichlet and Neumann boundary value problems, Green's functions of the studied problems are constructed and integral representations of solutions to these problems are obtained. This paper introduces a novel approach for the construction of bulk–surface splitting schemes for semilinear parabolic partial differential equations with dynamic boundary conditions. The proposed construction is based on a reformulation of the system as a partial differential–algebraic equation and the inclusion of certain delay terms for the decoupling. To obtain a fully discrete scheme, the splitting approach is combined with finite elements in space and a backward differentiation formula in time. Within this paper, we focus on the second-order case, resulting in a |$3$| -step scheme. We prove second-order convergence under the assumption of a weak CFL-type condition and confirm the theoretical findings by numerical experiments. This paper explored a delayed diffusive prey-predator model with prey-taxis involving the volume-filling mechanism subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. To figure out the impact on the dynamic of the prey-predator model due to prey-taxis and time delay, we treated the prey-tactic coefficient χ and time delay τ as the bifurcating parameters and did stability and bifurcation analysis. It showed that the time delay will induce Hopf bifurcations in the absence of prey-taxis, and the bifurcation periodic solution at the first critical value of τ was spatially homogeneous. Hopf bifurcations occurred in the model when the prey-taxis and time delay coexisted, and at the first critical value of τ , spatially homogeneous or nonhomogeneous periodic solutions might emerge. It was also discovered that the bifurcation curves will intersect, which implied that Hopf-Hopf bifurcations can occur. Finally, we did numerical simulations to validate our outcomes. In this paper, we propose a fourth-order compact discretization method for solving a secondorder boundary value problem governed by the nonlinear Fredholm integro-differential equations. Using an efficient approximate polynomial, a compact numerical integration method is first designed. Then by applying the derived numerical integration formulas, the original problem is converted into a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. It is shown that the proposed method is easy to implement and has the third order of accuracy in the infinity norm. Some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate its approximation accuracy and computational efficiency, as well as to compare the derived results with those obtained in the literature.
