Recently, Altun et al. [1] introduced the notion of p-proximal contractions and p-proximal contractive mappings and discussed about best proximity point results for this two classes of mappings. After that, Gabeleh and Markin [3] showed that the best proximity point theorem for p-proximal contractions proved in [1] follows from the same conclusion fixed point theory. Very recently Jain et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2022:73, 2022) introduced the concept of multivalued F-contraction with altering distance function and investigated the existence of best proximity points for this class of mappings. In this article we prove that the existence of best proximity points for multivalued F-contraction non-self mappings can be obtained from the corresponding fixed point result for multivalued F-contraction self mappings, and so the main conclusion due to Jain et al. is not a real generalization of fixed point theory. In a recently published theorem on the split common fixed point problem for strict pseudocontractive and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, Tang et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2015:305, 2015) studied a uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth real Banach space with the Opial property and best smoothness constant κ satisfying the condition 0 < κ < 1 2 , as a real Banach space more general than Hilbert spaces. A well-known example of a uniformly convex and 2-uniformly smooth real Banach space with the Opial property is E = l p , 2 ≤ p < ∞ . It is shown in this paper that, if κ is the best smoothness constant of E and satisfies the condition 0 < κ ≤ 1 2 , then E is necessarily l 2 , a real Hilbert space. In the present paper, under certain assumptions, we establish the convergence of iterates for self-mappings of complete metric spaces with graphs which are of a contractive type. The class of mappings considered in the paper contains the so-called cyclical mappings introduced by W. A. Kirk, P. S. Srinivasan and P. This paper proposes a new inertial subgradient extragradient method for solving equilibrium problems with pseudomonotone and Lipschitz-type bifunctions and fixed point problems for nonexpansive mappings in real Hilbert spaces. Precisely, we prove that the sequence generated by proposed algorithm converges strongly to a common solution of equilibrium problems and fixed point problems. We use an effective self-adaptive step size rule to accelerate the convergence process of our proposed iterative algorithm. This paper deals with the research of solutions of bounded variation (BV) to evolution inclusion coupled with a time and state dependent maximal monotone operator. Different problems are studied: existence of solutions, unicity of the solution, existence of periodic and bounded variation right continuous (BVRC) solutions. Second-order evolution inclusions and fractional (Caputo and Riemann–Liouville) differential inclusions are also considered. A result of the Skorohod problem driven by a time- and space-dependent operator under rough signal and a Volterra integral perturbation in the BRC setting is given. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the advancements made in understanding Iterative Fixed-Point Schemes, which builds upon the concept of digital contraction mappings. Additionally, we introduce the notion of an Iterative Fixed-Point Schemes in digital metric spaces. In this study, we extend the idea of Iteration process Mann, Ishikawa, Agarwal, and Thakur based on the ϝ-Stable Iterative Scheme in digital metric space. We also design some fractal images, which frame the compression of Fixed-Point Iterative Schemes and contractive mappings. Furthermore, we present a concrete example that exemplifies the motivation behind our investigations. Moreover, we provide an application of the proposed Fractal image and Sierpinski triangle that compress the works by storing images as a collection of digital contractions, which addresses the issue of storing images with less storage memory in this paper. The rationale of this work is to introduce the notion of graphical symmetric spaces and some fixed-point results are proved for H - (ϑ , φ) -contractions in this setting. The idea of graphical symmetric spaces generalizes various spaces equipped with a function which characterizes the distance between two points of the space. Some topological properties of graphical symmetric spaces are discussed. Some fixed-point results for the mappings defined on graphical symmetric spaces are proved. The fixed-point results of this paper generalize and extend several fixed-point results in this new setting. Dynamical systems are one of the interesting concepts where iteration algorithms and chaos can be considered together. In iteration algorithms, one of the basic concepts of fixed point theory, it is well known that the behavior of the iteration mechanism is chaotic if the original transformation is taken as chaotic. One of the natural ways to transform a chaotic system into a dynamical system is through control mechanisms. In this paper, we first consider an iteration class defined on Banach spaces, which is prominent in the literature in terms of both speed and convergence rate. Then, we consider the transformation constituting the iteration class as chaotic and obtain the stability and unstability behaviors of the iterations according to the operator norm by using Gâteaux and Fréchet derivatives representing the direction‐dependent derivative. In this way, we aimed to obtain the chaos control intervals obtained with functions in real space with the help of operators in Banach spaces. Using the operator norm obtained with the Fréchet derivative, we derive interesting dynamical system intervals from a chaotic system with parameter variables of iteration algorithms. It is noteworthy that the parameter variables of the studied iteration classes are the same in some transformation classes. In addition, analytical proofs are followed by computer simulations of parameter‐dependent control intervals considering the logistic operator with a chaotic structure. At the same time, the periodic behavior of the iteration algorithms used in our study is illustrated by the Lyapunov exponent with parameter‐dependent control intervals according to operator norm. Finally, as a real‐life problem, it has been shown that the chaos of the logistic population growth model with dynamic features can be controlled by chaos control mechanisms established by fixed point iteration methods. The aim of this paper is to study the use of Lambert W functions in the analysis of nonlinear dynamics and bifurcations of a new two-dimensional γ -Ricker population model. Through the use of such transcendental functions, it is possible to study the fixed points and the respective eigenvalues of this exponential diffeomorphism as analytical expressions. Consequently, the maximum number of fixed points is proved, depending on whether the Allee effect parameter γ is even or odd. In addition, the analysis of the bifurcation structure of this γ -Ricker diffeomorphism, also taking into account the parity of the Allee effect parameter, demonstrates the results established using the Lambert W functions. This paper combines the concept of an arbitrary binary connection with the widely recognized principle of θ -contraction to investigate the innovative features of vector-valued metric spaces. The concept of symmetry has played a major role in Hilbert space setting owing to the structure of a complete inner product space. Subsequently, different studies pertaining to symmetry, including symmetric operators, have investigated real Hilbert spaces. In this paper, we study the solutions to multiple-set split feasibility problems for a pair of finite families of β -enriched, strictly pseudocontractive mappings in the setup of a real Hilbert space. In view of this, we constructed an iterative scheme that properly included these two mappings into the formula. Under this iterative scheme, an appropriate condition for the existence of solutions and strong and weak convergent results are presented. No sum condition is imposed on the countably finite family of the iteration parameters in obtaining our results unlike for several other results in this direction. In addition, we prove that a slight modification of our iterative scheme could be applied in studying hierarchical variational inequality problems in a real Hilbert space. This paper presents an analytical solution for a complex mechanical system consisting of a pendulum with a rolling wheel, which combines translational and rotational motion. The system's dynamics are described by a set of coupled differential equations that are challenging to solve analytically using traditional methods. To overcome this challenge, the variation iteration method (VIM) is employed to derive an analytical solution. VIM is a powerful technique that allows for the approximate solution of differential equations by constructing a series solution iteratively. The Lagrange multiplier, a crucial component in the solution process, is determined for the first time using the Elzaki transformation. Interestingly, the Lagrange multiplier obtained through the Elzaki transformation matches the result obtained from Laplace transformation, which is a fundamental finding of this paper. Also we compared its results with the by employing the VIM and the derived Lagrange multiplier, a comprehensive analytical solution for the complex pendulum with a rolling wheel system is obtained. The solution provides insights into the system's behavior, such as the oscillation amplitudes, angular velocities and other relevant dynamic parameters. The proposed approach demonstrates the efficacy of the VIM in tackling complex mechanical systems and showcases the equivalence between the Lagrange multiplier derived through Elzaki transformation and the well-established Laplace transformation. The results obtained from this study contribute to the understanding and analysis of coupled translational and rotational systems, providing a valuable tool for researchers and engineers working in the field of mechanical dynamics. This work studies a mathematical model involving a dynamic contact between two elasto-viscoplastic piezoelectric bodies with damage. The contact is modeled on a combination of a normal compliance and a normal damped response law associated with friction. We derive a variational formulation of the problem and we prove the existence and uniqueness result of the weak solution. The proof is based on the classical existence and uniqueness result for parabolic inequalities, differential equations and fixed-point arguments. This paper examines a friction problem between two piezoelectric bodies that are elastic- viscoplastic. The study uses both numerical and analytical methods. The contact surface is assumed to have a thin layer of lubricant, and a damped response contact condition is considered. The problem also takes into account electrical and frictional effects. The paper proves the existence of a unique weak solution to the problem by using variational inequalities and a fixed point argument. Additionally, a fully discrete approximation is investigated using the Euler scheme and finite element method for the spatial variable and time derivatives. Let A and B be two nonempty subsets of a normed space X, and let T : A ∪ B → A ∪ B be a cyclic (resp., noncyclic) mapping. The objective of this paper is to establish weak conditions on T that ensure its relative nonexpansiveness. The idea is to recover the results mentioned in two papers by Matkowski (Banach J. Math. Anal. 2:237–244, 2007; J. In this paper, we introduce new types of contraction mappings named S-Pata-type contraction mapping and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mapping in the framework of S-metric space. Then, we prove some new fixed-point results for S-Pata-type contraction mappings and Generalized S-Pata-type contraction mappings. The purpose of this paper is to generalize the concept of classical fuzzy set to vector-valued fuzzy set which can attend values not only in the real interval [ 0 ,   1 ] , but in an ordered interval of a Banach algebra as well. This notion allows us to introduce the concept of vector-valued fuzzy metric space which generalizes, extends and unifies the notion of classical fuzzy metric space and complex-valued fuzzy metric space and permits us to consider the fuzzy sets and metrics in a larger domain. Fractional calculus provides some fractional operators for us to model different real-world phenomena mathematically. One of these important study fields is the mathematical model of the elastic beam changes. More precisely, in this paper, based on the behavior patterns of an elastic beam, we consider the generalized sequential boundary value problems of the Navier difference equations by using the post-quantum fractional derivatives of the Caputo-like type. We discuss on the existence theory for solutions of the mentioned (p ; q) -difference Navier problems in two single-valued and set-valued versions. We use the main properties of the (p ; q) -operators in this regard. Application of the fixed points of the ρ - θ -contractions along with the endpoints of the multi-valued functions play a fundamental role to prove the existence results. The paper focuses on the Lotka-Volterra function in its discrete form. The purpose of the study was to determine the fixed points of the function. The study employs the Banach Fixed Point Theorem and Contraction Mapping in Metric Space on the function to demonstrate the uniqueness of the fixed points and its continuous stability after several iterations, using the fixed points as the initial conditions. The study has shown that (0, 0), (0, α−1/β), (1+γ /δ, 0 ) and (1+γ/ δ, α−1/ β)are the fixed points of the function, with the initial pair serving as a trivial one and the other three solely depending on the parameter values for the behavior of the function. The outcome of the limit points of the function as the fixed points after several iterations forms a fixed orbit structure of the function, irrespective of the value of the parameter. Introduction/purpose: The paper presents a novel approach to certain well-established fixed point theorems for multivalued probabilistic contractions in b-Menger spaces, leveraging the boundedness of the orbits. The aim was to generalize and enhance the results previously derived by Fang and Hadžić. Methods: The boundedness of orbits in b-Menger spaces is used to establish their approach for multivalued probabilistic contractions. Results: The findings of the study not only generalized the existing fixed point theorems but also enhanced them significantly. The effectiveness of the approach in extending the results originally proposed by Fang and Hadžić was showcased. Moreover, the applicability of the coincidence fixed point theorem in fuzzy b-metric spaces was demonstrated. Conclusions: The study presented a novel perspective on fixed point theorems in multivalued probabilistic contractions within b-Menger spaces. In this paper, we introduce the novel concept of generalized distance denoted as J θ and call it an extended b-generalized pseudo-distance. With the help of this generalized distance, we define a generalized point to set distance J θ (u , H ★) , a generalized Hausdorff type distance and a P J θ -property of a pair (H ★ , K ★) of nonempty subsets of extended b-metric space (U ★ , ρ θ). Additionally, we establish several best proximity point theorems for multi-valued contraction mappings of Nadler type defined on b-metric spaces and extended b-metric spaces. We explore the intermixed method for finding a common element of the intersection of the solution set of a mixed variational inequality and the fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping. We point out that Khuangsatung and Kangtunyakarn's statement [J. Inequal. Appl. 2023:1, 2023] regarding the resolvent utilized in their paper is not correct. In this paper, we discuss the existence, uniqueness, and the Mittag–Leffler–Ulam stability of solutions for fractional Duffing equations involving three fractional derivatives. Uniqueness result for solution of the underlying Duffing problem is given with the help of Banach's fixed point theorem, where the existence result is computed using Leray–Schauder's alternative. In this paper, we introduce and examine the notion of a protected quasi-metric. In particular, we give some of its properties and present several examples of distinguished topological spaces that admit a compatible protected quasi-metric, such as the Alexandroff spaces, the Sorgenfrey line, the Michael line, and the Khalimsky line, among others. Our motivation is due, in part, to the fact that a successful improvement of the classical Banach fixed-point theorem obtained by Suzuki does not admit a natural and full quasi-metric extension, as we have noted in a recent article. Thus, and with the help of this new structure, we obtained a fixed-point theorem in the framework of Smyth-complete quasi-metric spaces that generalizes Suzuki's theorem. Combining right completeness with partial ordering properties, we also obtained a variant of Suzuki's theorem, which was applied to discuss types of difference equations and recurrence equations. In this paper, we consider a faster iterative method for approximating the fixed points of generalized α -nonexpansive mappings. We prove several weak and strong convergence theorems of the considered method in mild conditions within the control parameters. In order to validate our findings, we present some nontrivial examples of the considered mappings. Furthermore, we show that the class of mappings considered is more general than some nonexpansive-type mappings. Also, we show numerically that the method studied in our article is more efficient than several existing methods. In this paper, we introduce an inertial self-adaptive projection method using Bregman distance techniques for solving pseudomonotone equilibrium problems in reflexive Banach spaces. The algorithm requires only one projection onto the feasible set without any Lipschitz-like condition on the bifunction. Using this method, a strong convergence theorem is proved under some mild conditions. This article examines the process for solving the fixed-point problem of Bregman strongly nonexpansive mapping as well as the variational inequality problem of the pseudomonotone operator. Within the context of p-uniformly convex real Banach spaces that are also uniformly smooth, we introduce a modified Halpern iterative technique combined with an inertial approach and Tseng methods for finding a common solution of the fixed-point problem of Bregman strongly nonexpansive mapping and the pseudomonotone variational inequality problem. Using our iterative approach, we develop a strong convergence result for approximating the solution of the aforementioned problems. We also discuss some consequences of our major finding. In this paper, we introduce two types of weak enriched contractions, namely weak enriched F -contraction, weak enriched F ′ -contraction, and k-fold averaged mapping based on Kirk's iterative algorithm of order k. The types of contractions introduced herein unify, extend, and generalize several existing classes of enriched and weak enriched contraction mappings. Moreover, K-fold averaged mappings can be viewed as a generalization of the averaged mappings and double averaged mappings. We then prove the existence of a unique fixed point of the k-fold averaged mapping associated with weak enriched contractions introduced herein. We study necessary conditions that guarantee the equality of the sets of fixed points of the k-fold averaged mapping and weak enriched contractions. We show that an appropriate Kirk's iterative algorithm can be used to approximate a fixed point of a k-fold averaged mapping and of the two weak enriched contractions. We also study the well-posedness, limit shadowing property, and Ulam–Hyers stability of the k-fold averaged mapping. We provide necessary conditions that ensure the periodic point property of each illustrated weak enriched contraction. This paper focuses on the effects of environmental improvement and worsening on the spread and invasion of populations with birth pulse. We propose an impulsive reaction-diffusion model with a shifting environment to describe the dynamics of species with distinct reproduction stage and dispersal stage. First, the impulsive reaction-diffusion model is reduced to a discrete-time recursive system defined by a discrete map. Next, with the aid of the appropriate test function and comparison principle, we obtain some sufficient conditions on the nonexistence and uniqueness of nontrivial fixed points of the discrete map. This, combined with the abstract theory of spatially non-translation dynamical systems, enables us to establish the existence of traveling wave solutions and the asymptotic propagation properties of the model.
