The article reports that the recent trend of wearing paper dresses has increased the sales of disposable garments in the apparel industry in the U.S. to an estimated 100 million dollars. As stated, some manufacturers see it as a permanent style. It states that in the conference of American Apparel Manufacturers Association in Dallas, Texas in June 1967 Oliver J. Sterling, president of James Sterling Paper Fashions predicted that these clothes will amount to 25 percent of the industry.
