In this paper, a new delayed fractional-order model including susceptible migratory birds, infected migratory birds and predators is proposed to discuss the spread of diseases among migratory birds. Fear of predators is considered in the model, as fear can reduce the reproduction rate and disease transmission rate among prey. First, some basic mathematical results of the proposed model are discussed. Then, time delay is regarded as a bifurcation parameter, and the delay-induced bifurcation conditions for such an uncontrolled system are established. A novel periodic pulse feedback controller is proposed to suppress the bifurcation phenomenon. It is found that the control scheme can successfully suppress the bifurcation behavior of the system, and the pulse width can be arbitrarily selected on the premise of ensuring the control effect. Compared with the traditional time-delay feedback controller, the control scheme proposed in this paper has more advantages in practical application, which not only embodies the advantages of low control cost and easy operation but also caters to the periodic changes of the environment. This work investigates a prey–predator model featuring a Holling-type II functional response, in which the fear effect of predation on the prey species, as well as prey refuge, are considered. Specifically, the model assumes that the growth rate of the prey population decreases as a result of the fear of predators. Moreover, the detection of the predator by the prey species is subject to a delay known as the fear response delay, which is incorporated into the model. The paper establishes the preliminary conditions for the solution of the delayed model, including positivity, boundedness and permanence. The paper discusses the existence and stability of equilibrium points in the model. In particular, the paper considers the discrete delay as a bifurcation parameter, demonstrating that the system undergoes Hopf bifurcation at a critical value of the delay parameter. The direction and stability of periodic solutions are determined using central manifold and normal form theory. Additionally, the global stability of the model is established at axial and positive equilibrium points. This paper is concerned with the sustained periodic oscillation phenomenon in a three-species delayed predation system with Holling type II functional response and age structure in top predator. The top predator fertility function is regarded as a piecewise continuous smooth function with regard to their maturation period τ 2 . The complicated dynamic behavior is proved by integrated semigroup theory and Hopf bifurcation theorem for semilinear equations with non-dense domain. Through qualitative analysis and bifurcation study of the system, we yield that this system has a nontrivial periodic solution that bifurcates from the positive equilibrium age distribution when bifurcation parameter τ passes through some critical values. In this paper, an SIRS epidemic model using Grunwald–Letnikov fractional-order derivative is formulated with the help of a nonlinear system of fractional differential equations to analyze the effects of fear in the population during the outbreak of deadly infectious diseases. The criteria for the spread or extinction of the disease are derived and discussed on the basis of the basic reproduction number. The condition for the existence of Hopf bifurcation is discussed considering fractional order as a bifurcation parameter. Additionally, using the Grunwald–Letnikov approximation, the simulation is carried out to confirm the validity of analytic results graphically. Using the real data of COVID-19 in India recorded during the second wave from 15 May 2021 to 15 December 2021, we estimate the model parameters and find that the fractional-order model gives the closer forecast of the disease than the classical one. In this paper, the impact of the strong Allee effect and ratio-dependent Holling–Tanner functional response on the dynamical behaviors of a predator–prey system is investigated. First, the positivity and boundedness of solutions of the system are proved. Then, stability and bifurcation analysis on equilibria is provided, with explicit conditions obtained for Hopf bifurcation. Moreover, global dynamics of the system is discussed. In particular, the degenerate singular point at the origin is proved to be globally asymptotically stable under various conditions. Further, a detailed bifurcation analysis is presented to show that the system undergoes a codimension- 1 Hopf bifurcation and a codimension- 2 cusp Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation. Simulations are given to illustrate the theoretical predictions. The aim of this paper is to investigate the dynamic behaviors of fractional- order logistic model with Allee effects in Caputo–Fabrizio sense. First of all, we apply the two-step Adams–Bashforth scheme to discretize the fractional-order logistic differential equation and obtain the two-dimensional discrete system. The parametric conditions for local asymptotic stability of equilibrium points are obtained by Schur–Chon criterion. Moreover, we discuss the existence and direction for Neimark–Sacker bifurcations with the help of center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Numerical simulations are provided to illustrate theoretical discussion. It is observed that Allee effect plays an important role in stability analysis. In this paper, a new generalized non-monotonic and saturated incidence rate was introduced into a susceptible-infected-susceptible (SIS) epidemic model to account for inhibitory effect and crowding effect. The dynamic properties of the model were studied by qualitative theory and bifurcation theory. It is shown that when the influence of psychological factors is large, the model has only disease-free equilibrium point, and this disease-free equilibrium point is globally asymptotically stable; when the influence of psychological factors is small, for some parameter conditions, the model has a unique endemic equilibrium point, which is a cusp point of co-dimension two, and for other parameter conditions the model has two endemic equilibrium points, one of which could be weak focus or center. In addition, the results of the model undergoing saddle-node bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation and Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation as the parameters vary were also proved. This paper explores a predator–prey system featuring fear and disease within the predator population,utilizing the Rosenzweig–MacArthur model with Holling type-II functional response. The primary focus lies in investigating the impact of a fear factor, wherein the prey's growth rate is hindered due to predator-induced fear. Additionally, the model accounts for the spread of disease among predators,leading to a division between susceptible and infected predator subpopulations. The inclusion of an Allee effect in the susceptible predator further enriches the model. The study involves a thorough examination, encompassing local and global stability analysis as well as Hopf bifurcation analysis around the interior equilibrium point. Numerical simulations underscore a noteworthy observation: an escalation in interaction force propels the system into chaotic dynamics,marked by stable focus, limit cycles and period-doubling phenomena. A noteworthy finding pertains to the influence of the Allee parameter (θ) on chaotic dynamics. As the Allee parameter values increase, the system tends to stable focus through a sequence of chaotic states, period-doubling and limit cycles. Subsequently, the paper introduces the role of another pivotal parameter, the fear factor, into the chaotic dynamics. Intriguingly, chaos transforms into stable focus through diverse nonlinear phenomena, including period-doubling and limit cycles. In this paper, we consider the long-term sustainability of the northeast Korean pine. We propose a class of natural Korean pine population system with time delay and diffusion term. First, by analyzing the roots distribution of the characteristic equation, we study the stability of the model system with diffusion terms and prove the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation. Second, we introduce lactation time delay into a population model with a diffusion term, based on stability theory of ordinary differential equation, norm form methods and center manifold theorem, the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions and the relevant formula for the direction of Hopf bifurcation are given. In this paper, we propose and investigate a delayed diffusive predator–prey model affected by toxic substances. We first study the boundedness and persistence property of the model. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, we obtain the conditions for the existence of steady state bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation and Turing bifurcation. Furthermore, we also study the Hopf bifurcation induced by the delay. Finally, our theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation. The numerical observation results are in good agreement with the theoretically predicted results. The spread of infectious diseases often presents the emergent properties, which leads to more difficulties in prevention and treatment. In this paper, the SIR model with both delay and network is investigated to show the emergent properties of the infectious diseases' spread. The stability of the SIR model with a delay and two delay is analyzed to illustrate the effect of delay on the periodic outbreak of the epidemic. Then the stability conditions of Hopf bifurcation are derived by using central manifold to obtain the direction of bifurcation, which is vital for the generation of emergent behavior. Also, numerical simulation shows that the connection probability can affect the types of the spatio-temporal patterns, further induces the emergent properties. In this paper, we study a diffusive predator–prey model with hyperbolic mortality and prey-taxis under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. We first analyze the influence of prey-taxis on the local stability of constant equilibria. It turns out that prey-taxis has influence on the stability of the unique positive constant equilibrium, but has no influence on the stability of the trivial equilibrium and the semi-trivial equilibrium. In this paper, we consider a nonlinear ratio-dependent prey–predator model with constant prey refuge in the prey population. Both Allee and fear phenomena are incorporated explicitly in the growth rate of the prey population. The qualitative behaviors of the proposed model are investigated around the equilibrium points in detail. Hopf bifurcation including its direction and stability for the model is also studied. We observe that fear of predation risk can have both stabilizing and destabilizing effects and induces bubbling phenomenon in the system. It is also observed that for a fixed strength of fear, an increase in the Allee parameter makes the system unstable, whereas an increase in prey refuge drives the system toward stability. However, higher values of both the Allee and prey refuge parameters have negative impacts and the populations go to extinction. Further, we explore the variation of densities of the populations in different bi-parameter spaces, where the coexistence equilibrium point remains stable. A nonlinear infectious disease model with information-influenced vaccination behavior and contact patterns is proposed in this paper, and the impact of information related to disease prevalence on increasing vaccination coverage and reducing disease incidence during the outbreak is considered. First, we perform the analysis for the existence of equilibria and the stability properties of the proposed model. In particular, the geometric approach is used to obtain the sufficient condition which guarantees the global asymptotic stability of the unique endemic equilibrium E e when the basic reproduction number R 0 > 1. Second, mathematical derivation combined with numerical simulation shows the existence of the double Hopf bifurcation around E e . Third, based on the numerical results, it is shown that the information coverage and the average information delay may lead to more complex dynamical behaviors. Finally, the optimal control problem is established with information-influenced vaccination and treatment as control variables. The corresponding optimal paths are obtained analytically by using Pontryagin's maximum principle, and the applicability and validity of virous intervention strategies for the proposed controls are presented by numerical experiments. In this paper, we propose a size-stage-structured cooperation model which has two distinct life stages in facultative cooperator. The primary feature of this model is to consider size structure, stage structure and obligate and facultative symbiosis at the same time in a cooperation system. We use the method of characteristic to show that this new model can be reduced to a threshold delay equations (TDEs) model, which can be further transformed into a functional differential equations (FDEs) model by a simple change of variables. Such simplification allows us to apply the classical theory of FDEs and establish a set of sufficient conditions to investigate the qualitative analysis of solutions of the FDEs model, including the global existence and uniqueness, positivity and boundedness. What's more, we use the geometric criteria to get the conclusions about stability and Hopf bifurcation of positive equilibrium because the coefficients of the characteristic equation depend on the bifurcation parameter. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out as supporting evidences of our analytical results. Motivated by the study of multiple time scale system dynamics, we analyze the Murali–Lakshmanan–Chua (MLC) dissipative circuit exhibiting periodic bursting with different types of oscillations in this paper. Such patterns can be analyzed by treating the slow variable as a parameter of the nonsmooth fast subsystem. The discontinuous bifurcation structure of the subsystem can be described by the generalized differential of Clarke and the Jacobian matrix of the system. Bursting patterns as well as the oscillation mechanisms can be clarified by the discontinuous bifurcations, time series and phase portraits. For the chosen circuit parameter values, this designed circuit admits both MLC type bursting attractors and Duffing–van der Pol circuit type bursting attractors. It is found that not only the features combined with the circuit parameters of the system, but also the two switching boundaries may have an important impact on the origin of the bursting behaviors. In particular, the explicit analytic solutions of the proposed circuit are investigated in detail. We also show that the bursting can arise from either discontinuous saddle-node bifurcation or slow passage through a discontinuous Hopf bifurcation. In this paper, we investigate a quadratic chaotic system modeling self-excited and hidden attractors which is described by a system of three nonlinear ordinary differential equations with three real parameters. The primary goal is to establish the existence of two limit cycles that bifurcate based on the system's nature as an electronic circuits model, specifically via Hopf bifurcation. Notably, the application of the first and second Lyapunov coefficients is utilized to demonstrate the bifurcation of two limit cycles from an equilibrium point near a Hopf critical point. This paper presents the stability and bifurcation of the Hindmarsh–Rose neuronal model with time delay. First, we discuss the existence and stability of the equilibria, revealing that the system can have a maximum of three equilibria which exhibit always stable, always unstable, and stability switching dynamics, depending on the stability of the equilibria when there is no time delay. Furthermore, an explicit formula for the time delay at which Hopf bifurcation occurs is derived, and the direction and stability of the Hopf bifurcation are also given. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to support our theoretical results. We find that due to the existence of time delay, our system can exhibit many interesting dynamical behaviors depending on the number of equilibria and the increase in time delay. For instance, with increasing time delay, bistability transitions to the coexistence of a periodic solution and a stable equilibrium, followed by the emergence of quasi-periodic motion alongside stable equilibria, and eventually leading to chaotic motion coexisting with a stable equilibrium. A two-degree-of-freedom nonlinear high-speed railway wheelset model with two time delays in the lateral and yaw dampers is studied. The aim is to investigate the effect of time delays on stability and Hopf bifurcation characteristics of the wheelset model. The local stability of the trivial equilibrium under different time delay conditions is qualitatively analyzed. Analytical studies reveal that the wheelset model undergoes stability switches with the variation of the time delays. The stability switches correspond to Hopf bifurcations that occur when the time delays cross critical values. Furthermore, properties of Hopf bifurcation including direction and stability of bifurcating limit cycles are studied by using the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. Our findings indicate that time delays in both lateral dampers and yaw dampers influence the stability and direction of Hopf bifurcation. Additionally, the numerical results show that time delays in the lateral and yaw dampers not only affect the amplitude of the hunting motion of the wheelset but also the periodic and chaotic motions. If the time delays gradually increase, the wheelset will vibrate irregularly with large lateral displacements. In this paper, a diffusive zooplankton–phytoplankton model with time delay and hunting cooperation is established. First, the existence of all positive equilibria and their local stability are proved when the system does not include time delay and diffusion. Then, the existence of Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium is proved by taking time delay as the bifurcation parameter, and the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are investigated by using the center manifold theorem and the normal form theory in partial differential equations. Next, according to the theory of Turing bifurcation, the conditions for the occurrence of Turing bifurcation are obtained by taking the intraspecific competition rate of the prey as the bifurcation parameter. The slow–fast Leslie–Gower model with piecewise-smooth Holling type-I functional response and weak Allee effect is studied in this paper. It is shown that the model undergoes singular Hopf bifurcation and nonsmooth Hopf bifurcation as the parameters vary. The theoretical analysis implies that the predator's food quality and Allee effect play an important role and lead to richer dynamical phenomena such as the globally stable equilibria, canard explosion phenomenon, a hyperbolically stable relaxation oscillation cycle enclosing almost two canard cycles with different stabilities and so on. Moreover, the predator and prey will coexist as multiple steady states or periodic oscillations for different positive initial populations and positive parameter values. In this paper, a predator–prey system with multiple anti-predator behaviors is developed and studied, where not only the prey may spread between patches but also the fear effect and counter-attack behavior of the prey are taken into account. First, the stability and existence of coexistence equilibria are presented. The unique positive equilibrium may be a saddle-node or a cusp of codimension 2. Then, various transversality conditions of bifurcations such as saddle-node bifurcation, transcritical bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation and Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation are obtained. In this paper, we designed a population model that shows how a prey species defends itself against a generalist predator by exhibiting group defence. A non-monotonic functional response is used to represent the group defence functionality. We have demonstrated the model's local stability in the vicinity of the coexisting equilibrium solution employing a local Lyapunov function. Condition for existence of Hopf bifurcation is obtained along with its normal form. The suggested model has been validated by numerical simulations, which have also been used to verify the acquired analytical results. Circular domains frequently appear in mathematical modeling in the fields of ecology, biology and chemistry. In this paper, we investigate the equivariant Hopf bifurcation of partial functional differential equations with Neumann boundary condition on a two-dimensional disk. The properties of these bifurcations at equilibriums are analyzed rigorously by studying the equivariant normal forms. Two reaction–diffusion systems with discrete time delays are selected as numerical examples to verify the theoretical results, in which spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions including standing waves and rotating waves, and spatially homogeneous periodic solutions are found near the bifurcation points. In this paper, we introduce constant-yield prey harvesting into the Holling–Tanner model with generalist predator. We prove that the unique positive equilibrium is a cusp of codimension 4. As the parameter values change, the system exhibits degenerate Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation of codimension 4. Using the resultant elimination method, we show that the positive equilibrium is a weak focus of order 2, and the system undergoes degenerate Hopf bifurcation of codimension 2 and has two limit cycles. By numerical simulations, we demonstrate that the system exhibits homoclinic bifurcation and saddle–node bifurcation of limit cycles as the parameters are varied. In this paper, we proposed a Holling-III predator–prey model considering the perturbation of slow-varying, carrying capacity parameters. The study aims to address how the slow changes in carrying capacity influence the dynamics of the model. Based on the bifurcation theory and the slow–fast analysis method, the existence and the equilibrium of the autonomous system are explored, and then, the critical condition of Hopf bifurcation and transcritical bifurcation is established for the autonomous system. The slow–fast coupled nonautonomous system has quasiperiodic oscillations, single Hopf bursting oscillations, and transcritical–Hopf bursting oscillations within a certain range of perturbation amplitude variation if the carrying capacity perturbation amplitude crosses some critical values, such that the predator–prey management is challenging for the extinction of predator populations under the critical value. The motion pattern of the nonautonomous system is closely related to the transcritical bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation and attractor type of the autonomous system. Finally, the effects of changes in parameters related to predator aggressiveness on system behavior are investigated. In this work, a new glucose–insulin model incorporating time delay and obesity is developed to gain insights of its dynamical mechanisms. Through the method of multiple scales, we theoretically demonstrate that time delay can drive the system to yield Hopf bifurcation, thereby producing oscillating solutions that are consistent with the simulation results. Moreover, obesity changes the level of glucose, but cannot induce oscillations. In particular, it is found that under the combined effect of obesity and time delay, obesity delays the appearance of Hopf bifurcation which is induced by time delay. Results show that a low calorie diet can achieve therapeutic effects including reducing blood glucose fluctuations and insulin resistance, which can be used as an adjuvant for the treatment of diabetes. In addition, our results indicate that the delay, together with an optimal rate of model parameters can cause a variety of dynamics and induce glucose oscillations. The result obtained in this paper may help to better understand the obesity, diabetes, and the interaction between glucose and insulin, so that control strategies can be designed to better regulate blood glucose levels and fluctuations and mitigate the occurrence of type-2 diabetes. In this paper, we consider a spatially size–stage-structured population dynamics model with resting phase. The primary objective of this model is to study size structure, stage structure, resting phase and spatial location simultaneously in a single population system. At first, we reformulate the problem as an abstract nondensely defined Cauchy problem. Then, taking advantage of the integrated semigroup and bifurcation theories, we investigate the stability and Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium of the model. This paper investigates the nonlinear bifurcation and chaos characteristics of piezoelectric composite lattice sandwich plates at 1:3 internal resonance. The nonlinear vibration partial differential equation is first discretized to become an ordinary differential equation by applying the Galerkin method. The main resonance modulation equations and the parametric resonance for the external excitation frequency that is close to the system's second-order modal frequency are then obtained by using the multiscale method. The Newton–Raphson method is subsequently applied to obtain the bifurcation diagram of the steady-state equilibrium of modulation equation with varying system parameters. The equilibrium stability is finally analyzed. We confirm the existence of static bifurcation such as saddle-node bifurcation, pitchfork bifurcation, and Hopf dynamic bifurcation. A detailed analysis is also conducted on the complex nonlinear jump phenomenon caused by the presence of multiple nonlinear steady-state solution regions. In the dynamic Hopf bifurcation interval, the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method is used to continue to track the dynamic periodic solution of the modulation equation in Cartesian coordinates. In this research paper, we consider a Leslie–Gower Reaction–Diffusion (RD) model with a predator-driven Allee term in the prey population. We derive conditions for the existence of nontrivial solutions, uniform boundedness, local stability at co-existing equilibrium points, and Hopf bifurcation criteria from the temporal system. We identify sufficient conditions for Turing instability with no-flux boundary condition for the spatial system. Our investigation delves into the analysis of diffusion-induced Turing instability, incorporating stability conditions for the constant steady-state in the spatial model. We also investigate the conditions for the existence and nonexistence of nonconstant steady states in the diffusion-induced model. During numerical simulations, we observe that the predator-driven Allee term is essential for the model to generate Turing structures. Our findings reveal intriguing properties within the RD system, demonstrating its ability to produce patterns within the Turing domain. The simulation confirms that cold–hot spots and stripes-like patterns (a mixture of spots and strips) arises for different strengths of the predation parameter and Allee parameter. In contrast, we observe that for the above threshold value of the Allee parameter, the above-mentioned patterns may disappear from the system. In this paper, we consider a food chain model with ratio-dependent functional response and prey-taxis. We first investigate the global existence and boundedness of the unique positive classical solutions of the system in a bounded domain with smooth boundary and Neumann boundary conditions. Then, we analyze the local stability of the system and the existence of Hopf bifurcation. In addition, we prove the global asymptotic stability of steady states under some conditions by constructing a Lyapunov functional, and investigate convergence rates. In this paper, two prey–predator models with distributed delays are presented based on the growth and loss rates of the predator, which are much smaller than that of the prey, leading to a singular perturbation problem. It is obtained that Hopf bifurcation can occur, where the coexistence equilibrium becomes unstable leading to a stable limit cycle. Subsequently, considering the perturbation parameter 0 < ≪ 1 , the fact that the solution crossing the transcritical point converges to a stable equilibrium is discussed for the model with Holling type I using the linear chain criterion, center-manifold reduction, the geometric singular perturbation theory and entry–exit function. The existence and uniqueness of relaxation oscillation cycle for the model with Holling type II are obtained. In addition, numerical simulations are provided to verify the analytical results. This paper considers predator–prey systems in which the predator adapts the search speed to prey's density. The prey admits the cost of fear because of the predator and moves between source–sink patches to escape from predation. Using dynamical systems theory, we demonstrate equilibrium stability, uniform persistence and bifurcations in the system. It is shown that enhancing the search speed of predator and/or decreasing prey's dispersal from the source to sink could promote persistence of the system, while increasing the fear cost would stabilize the system. Moreover, dispersal could make the prey persist in both source–sink patches, even drive the predator into extinction. The dispersal could also make the prey reach a total population abundance larger than that without dispersal, even larger than the carrying capacity. Asymmetry in dispersal plays a role in the persistence and abundance. A novel finding of this work is that dispersal may lead to results reversing those without dispersal. This paper investigates the dynamical behavior of the modified May–Holling–Tanner model in the presence of dynamic alternative resources. We study the role of dynamic alternative resources on the survival of the species when there is prey rarity. Detailed mathematical analysis and numerical evaluations, including the situation of ecosystem collapsing, have been presented to discuss the coexistence of species', stability, occurrence of different bifurcations (saddle-node, transcritical, and Hopf) in three cases in the presence of prey and alternative resources, in the absence of prey and in the absence of alternative resources. It has been obtained that the multiple coexisting states and their stability are outcomes of variations in predation rate for alternative resources. Also, the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation, saddle-node bifurcation, and transcritical bifurcation are due to variations in the parameters of dynamic alternative resources. The impact of dynamic alternative resources on species' density reveals the fact that if the predation rate for alternative resources increases, then the prey biomass increases (under some restrictions), and variations in the predator's biomass widely depend upon the quality of food items. This study also points out that the survival of predators is possible in the absence of prey. In this paper, a deterministic size-dependent phytoplankton–zooplankton (PZ) model with additive Allee effect as well as its stochastic differential equation version is formulated to explore the growth dynamic of phytoplankton. A stability and Hopf bifurcation analysis is performed towards deterministic PZ model, and stochastic dynamic analysis is carried out on the stochastic PZ model, including the stochastic extinction, persistence in mean and the unique ergodic stationary distribution, which in turn provides a theoretical basis for numerical simulation analysis. Numerical simulations reveal that the synergistic effect of plankton body size and Allee effect can have a complex impact on the growth of phytoplankton in the deterministic and stochastic environments. One of the most interesting findings suggests that the reduced phytoplankton cell size can trigger bistable phenomenon, while the increased phytoplankton cell size or the weakened Allee effect has the ability to destroy such bistable phenomenon. In this paper, rich dynamics and complex bifurcations of an SIR epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and strong Allee effect are investigated. First, the existence of disease-free and endemic equilibria is explored, and we prove that the system has at most three positive equilibria, which exhibit different types such as hyperbolic saddle and node, degenerate unstable saddle (node) of codimension 2, degenerate saddle-node of codimension 3 at disease-free equilibria, and cusp, focus, and elliptic types Bogdanov–Takens singularities of codimension 3 at endemic equilibria. Second, bifurcation analysis at these equilibria are investigated, and it is found that the system undergoes a series of bifurcations, including transcritical, saddle node, Hopf, degenerate Hopf, homoclinic, cusp type Bogdanov–Takens of codimensional 2, and focus and elliptic type Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation of codimension 3 which are composed of some bifurcations with lower codimension. The system shows very rich dynamics such as the coexistence of multiple periodic orbits and homoclinic loops. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted on the theoretical results. In real-world networks, due to complex topological structures and uncertainties such as time delays, uncontrolled systems may generate instability and complexity, thereby degrading network performance. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the stability, Hopf bifurcation, and complex dynamics of a networked system under delayed feedback control. Based on the linear stability method and Hopf bifurcation theorem, the stability of the equilibrium of the error system and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are studied. The stability of periodic solutions bifurcating from the trivial equilibrium is analyzed using normal form theory and central manifold theorem. Special focus is on the effects of the network topology and time delays on the stability and Hopf bifurcation. The theoretical results are also extended to the complex networks with asymmetric adjacent matrices. In addition, the controlled model exhibits complicated dynamical behavior via three types of codimension two bifurcations and period-doubling bifurcations that eventually lead to chaos. Numerical experiments have validated the theoretical results and indicated that delayed feedback control can effectively generate or annihilate the complicated behavior of complex networks. In this paper, we study the codimensions of Hopf bifurcation and Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation of a predator–prey model with alternative prey and prey refuges, which was proposed by Chen et al. [2023]. The results show that the predator–prey model can undergo a supercritical Hopf bifurcation or a Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation of codimension two under certain parameter conditions. It means that there are some predator–prey models with an alternative prey and prey refuges which have a limit cycle or a homoclinic loop. Shortage of formal jobs, lack of skills in workforce and increasing human population proliferate the informal sector. This sector provides an opportunity to unskilled workers to gain skills along with earnings. In this paper, a deterministic nonlinear mathematical model is developed to study the effects of informal skill learning and job generation on unemployment. For the formulated system, feasibility of equilibria and their stability properties are discussed. A pertinent quantity ( ℛ 0 ), known as the reproduction number, is calculated and it is shown that the formulated system undergoes transcritical, saddle-node, Hopf and Bogdanov–Takens bifurcations on the variation of ℛ 0 . The analytically obtained results are validated through numerical simulations. The results obtained from this study indicate that a substantial rate of job generation by self-employed individuals has a stabilizing effect on the system. Moreover, self-employment along with informal skill acquisition through engaging in informal work proves to be an effective measure in curbing the issue of unemployment in society. The harm caused by rumors is immeasurable. Studying the dynamic characteristics of rumors can help control their spread. In this paper, we propose a nonsmooth rumor model with a nonlinear propagation rate. First, we utilize the positive invariant regions to prove the boundedness of solutions. Second, we analyze the conditions for the existence of equilibrium points in both the left and right systems. Additionally, we confirm the occurrence of saddle-node bifurcation in the left system. Next, by considering the influence of spatial diffusion, we establish the conditions for Turing instability. Then we discuss the conditions for spatial homogeneous and inhomogeneous Hopf bifurcations in the left and right systems, respectively. We differentiate between supercritical and subcritical bifurcations using the Lyapunov coefficient. Furthermore, we examine the conditions for the existence of discontinuous Hopf bifurcation at the demarcation point. Finally, in the numerical simulation section, we validate our theorems on Turing patterns. We also investigate the impact of parameter changes on rumor propagation and conclude that an increase in the psychological inhibitory factor significantly reduces the rate of rumor propagation, providing an effective strategy for curbing rumors. This paper investigates a spatiotemporal SI epidemiological model under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. First, the long-time behavior of the solutions is described, a priori estimates of nonconstant positive solutions are given, and the nonexistence of nonconstant positive steady states is proved by the energy method. Second, the Turing instability of the positive constant steady-state is discussed, and the existence of nonconstant positive steady states is shown by using the degree theory. Moreover, applying the bifurcation theory, we establish the local and global structures of the steady-state bifurcation from simple eigenvalues, and describe some conditions for determining the direction of bifurcation, where the techniques of space decomposition and implicit function theorem are adopted to deal with the local structure of the steady-state bifurcation from double eigenvalues. Hepatitis B is an infectious disease worthy of attention. Considering the incubation period, psychological inhibition factor, vaccine, limited medical resources and horizontal transmission, an SIRS model is proposed to describe hepatitis B transmission dynamics. In order to describe the behavior changes caused by people's psychological changes, the non-monotonic incidence rate is adopted in the model. We use the saturated treatment rate to describe the limited medical resources. Mathematical analysis shows the existence conditions of the equilibria, forward or backward bifurcation, Hopf bifurcation and the Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation. During the observation of the case data of hepatitis B in China, it is found that there are mainly three features, periodic outbreaks, aperiodic outbreaks, and periodic outbreaks turns to aperiodic outbreaks. According to the above features, we select three different representative regions, Jiangxi, Zhejiang province and Beijing, and then use our model to fit the actual monthly hepatitis B case data. The basic reproduction numbers that we estimated are 1.7712, 1.4805 and 1.4132, respectively. The results of data fitting are consistent with those of theoretical analysis. According to the sensitivity analysis of ℛ 0 , we conclude that reducing contact, increasing treatment rate, strengthening vaccination and revaccinating can effectively prevent and control the prevalence of hepatitis B. This study investigates the effect of variable spindle speed with sinusoidal modulation on chatter vibrations generated in turning of flexible parts. The Euler–Bernoulli beam theory is assumed for mathematical modeling of the slender workpiece that is clamped at the chuck and pinned at the tailstock. The induced force as interaction between tool and workpiece (A2024-T351) during chip formation is calculated using finite element simulation. Numerical-based semi-discretization approach is utilized to seek stability regions and chatter frequencies regarding coupled dynamic model of tool and workpiece, in the form of delay differential equations with time varying delay term. The simulated data are validated and compared with those for a rigid part. The results indicate the efficiency of periodic modulation in improvement of machining stability especially for low spindle speeds. The stability charts for different interaction location and also time history response are studied, extensively. Finally, detection of period-one, flip and secondary Hopf bifurcations for different spindle speeds at instability borders are analyzed and discussed by solving corresponding eigenvalue problem. In this work, we study a predator–prey model of Gause type, in which the prey growth rate is subject to an Allee effect and the action of the predator over the prey is determined by a generalized hyperbolic-type functional response, which is neither differentiable nor locally Lipschitz at the predator axis. This kind of functional response is an extension of the so-called square root functional response, used to model systems in which the prey have a strong herd structure. We study the behavior of the solutions in the first quadrant and the existence of limit cycles. We prove that, for a wide choice of parameters, the solutions arrive at the predator axis in finite time. We also characterize the existence of an equilibrium point and, when it exists, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for it to be a center-type equilibrium. In fact, we show that the set of parameters that yield a center-type equilibrium, is the graph of a function with an open domain. We also prove that any center-type equilibrium is stable and it always possesses a supercritical Hopf bifurcation.
