Background and Aims: ChatGPT represents the most popular and widely used generative artificial intelligence (AI) model that received significant attention in healthcare research. The aim of the current study was to assess the future trajectory of the needed research in this domain based on the recommendations of the top influential published records. Materials and Methods: A systematic search was conducted on Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar (27–30 November 2023) to identify the top ten ChatGPT-related published records in healthcare across the three databases. Classification of the records as “top” denoting high influence in the field was based on citation counts. Results: A total of 22 unique records from 17 different journals representing 14 different publishers were identified as the top ChatGPT-related publications in healthcare subject. Based on the identified records’ recommendations, the following themes appeared as important areas to consider in future ChatGPT research in healthcare: improving healthcare education, improved efficiency of clinical processes (e.g., documentation), addressing ethical concerns (e.g., patient privacy and consent), supporting research tasks (e.g., data analysis, manuscript preparation), mitigating ChatGPT output biases, improving patient education and engagement, and developing standardized assessment protocols for ChatGPT utility in healthcare. Conclusions: The current review highlighted key areas to be prioritized in assessment of ChatGPT utility in healthcare. Interdisciplinary collaborations and standardizing methodologies are needed to synthesize robust evidence in these studies. Artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing technologies have fuelled the growth of Pedagogical Conversational Agents (PCAs) with empathic conversational capabilities. However, no systematic literature review has explored the intersection between conversational agents, education and emotion. Therefore, this study aimed to outline the key aspects of designing, implementing and evaluating these agents. The data sources were empirical studies, including peer‐reviewed conference papers and journal articles, and the most recent publications, from the ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Scopus, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis Online, Web of Science and Wiley Online Library. The remaining papers underwent a rigorous quality assessment. A filter study meeting the objective was based on keywords. Comparative analysis and synthesis of results were used to handle data and combine study outcomes. Out of 1162 search results, 13 studies were selected. The results indicate that agents promote dialogic learning, proficiency in knowledge domains, personalized feedback and empathic abilities as essential design principles. Most implementations employ a quantitative approach, and two variables are used for evaluation. Feedback types play a vital role in achieving positive results in learning performance and student perceptions. The main limitations and gaps are the time range for literature selection, the level of integration of the empathic field and the lack of a detailed development stage report. Moreover, future directions are the ethical implications of agents operating beyond scheduled learning times and the adoption of Responsible AI principles. Smooth interaction with a disaster‐affected community can create and strengthen its social capital, leading to greater effectiveness in the provision of successful post‐disaster recovery aid. To understand the relationship between the types of interaction, the strength of social capital generated, and the provision of successful post‐disaster recovery aid, intricate ethnographic qualitative research is required, but it is likely to remain illustrative because it is based, at least to some degree, on the researcher's intuition. This paper thus offers an innovative research method employing a quantitative artificial intelligence (AI)‐based language model, which allows researchers to re‐examine data, thereby validating the findings of the qualitative research, and to glean additional insights that might otherwise have been missed. This paper argues that well‐connected personnel and religiously‐based communal activities help to enhance social capital by bonding within a community and linking to outside agencies and that mixed methods, based on the AI‐based language model, effectively strengthen text‐based qualitative research. • Artificial intelligence can facilitate inclusive approach to heritage planning. • This paper reveals the cultural significance attached to the heritage property. • Artificial intelligence can contribute to value-based heritage planning. Experts have always played an important role in heritage planning, practice, and theory. There is a wealth of literature published every year regarding heritage and its cultural significance. Experts also contribute to heritage planning and developing policy documents. Still, literature is rarely used as a source of primary research to systematically reveal and compare experts' opinions on the cultural significance of built heritage. Analyzing them as a whole is costly and time-consuming, especially on built heritage, when much has been written about. While the automation of methods has proven to mitigate such restrictions in other fields, as digital humanities, their application in heritage planning, practice, and theory is still scarce. Hence, this paper aims to investigate the potentials of AI models (e.g., multi label text classification) in analyzing scientific documents, revealing the cultural significance of built heritage, values and attributes. This was done to better understand the similarities and differences between the experts' opinions. Yazd, Iran, is taken a case study, with a particular focus on windcatchers, a key attribute conveying cultural significance, of outstanding universal value, due to its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This paper has three subsequent phases: 1) state of the art on the application of AI in heritage planning; 2) methodology of data collection and data analysis related to coding values and attributes of windcatchers, addressed in relevant documents; 3) preliminary findings on the experts' opinions over values and attributes of windcatchers. Results contribute to the scientific discussion, revealing the cultural significance of windcatchers of Yazd from experts' point of view. Besides, the potential of AI for heritage planning is revealed in terms of (de)coding and measuring the cultural significance of built heritage from the available documents, showing the opinions of experts with various backgrounds. Forecasting the generation of solar power plants (SPPs) requires taking into account meteorological parameters that influence the difference between the solar irradiance at the top of the atmosphere calculated with high accuracy and the solar irradiance at the tilted plane of the solar panel on the Earth's surface. One of the key factors is cloudiness, which can be presented not only as a percentage of the sky area covered by clouds but also many additional parameters, such as the type of clouds, the distribution of clouds across atmospheric layers, and their height. The use of machine learning algorithms to forecast the generation of solar power plants requires retrospective data over a long period and formalising the features; however, retrospective data with detailed information about cloudiness are normally recorded in the natural language format. This paper proposes an algorithm for processing such records to convert them into a binary feature vector. Experiments conducted on data from a real solar power plant showed that this algorithm increases the accuracy of short-term solar irradiance forecasts by 5–15%, depending on the quality metric used. At the same time, adding features makes the model less transparent to the user, which is a significant drawback from the point of view of explainable artificial intelligence. Therefore, the paper uses an additive explanation algorithm based on the Shapley vector to interpret the model's output. It is shown that this approach allows the machine learning model to explain why it generates a particular forecast, which will provide a greater level of trust in intelligent information systems in the power industry. The amount of grey literature and 'softer' intelligence from social media or websites is vast. Given the long lead‐times of producing high‐quality peer‐reviewed health information, this is causing a demand for new ways to provide prompt input for secondary research. To our knowledge, this is the first review of automated data extraction methods or tools for health‐related grey literature and soft data, with a focus on (semi)automating horizon scans, health technology assessments (HTA), evidence maps, or other literature reviews. We searched six databases to cover both health‐ and computer‐science literature. After deduplication, 10% of the search results were screened by two reviewers, the remainder was single‐screened up to an estimated 95% sensitivity; screening was stopped early after screening an additional 1000 results with no new includes. All full texts were retrieved, screened, and extracted by a single reviewer and 10% were checked in duplicate. We included 84 papers covering automation for health‐related social media, internet fora, news, patents, government agencies and charities, or trial registers. From each paper, we extracted data about important functionalities for users of the tool or method; information about the level of support and reliability; and about practical challenges and research gaps. Poor availability of code, data, and usable tools leads to low transparency regarding performance and duplication of work. Financial implications, scalability, integration into downstream workflows, and meaningful evaluations should be carefully planned before starting to develop a tool, given the vast amounts of data and opportunities those tools offer to expedite research. In this paper, we have developed the SEMAR (Smart Environmental Monitoring and Analytics in Real-Time) IoT application server platform for fast deployments of IoT application systems. It provides various integration capabilities for the collection, display, and analysis of sensor data on a single platform. Recently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become very popular and widely used in various applications including IoT. To support this growth, the integration of AI into SEMAR is essential to enhance its capabilities after identifying the current trends of applicable AI technologies in IoT applications. In this paper, we first provide a comprehensive review of IoT applications using AI techniques in the literature. They cover predictive analytics, image classification, object detection, text spotting, auditory perception, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and collaborative AI. Next, we identify the characteristics of each technique by considering the key parameters, such as software requirements, input/output (I/O) data types, processing methods, and computations. Third, we design the integration of AI techniques into SEMAR based on the findings. Finally, we discuss use cases of SEMAR for IoT applications with AI techniques. Design education has traditionally relied heavily on physical integration as it involves a lot of hands-on work, group critiques, and collaborative projects, but the COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally shifted the way teaching is done, which resulted in many institutions adapting to remote teaching and learning environments. This has created challenges for design educators who have had to find ways to evaluate students' progress in the absence of in-person interactions. In this paper, we are proposing a dashboard visualization approach that helps educators monitor the progression of the entire class of students using artificial intelligence (AI) by tracking a time-based evolution of a design statement. This approach uses various natural language processing (NLP) models to produce stock-like charts, which represent students' and student groups' progression through a series of divergence and convergence phases. These charts become a form of design artifact that allows educator(s) to gain a bird's-eye view of the class and react to groups that may require assistance; at the same time, it becomes a qualitative means of evaluation and comparison across students and groups. Toward the end, this paper also showcases a web-based platform that is publicly available using such methodology, a case study that applied so methodology and recommendations of future works possible. This paper delves into the intricate relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the art ecosystem, emphasizing the need for a decolonizing approach in the face of AI's growing influence. It argues that the development of AI is not just a technological leap but also a significant cultural and societal moment, akin to the advent of moving images that Walter Benjamin famously analyzed. The paper examines how AI, particularly in its current oligarchical and corporate-driven form, perpetuates and magnifies the existing social inequalities, thereby necessitating a critical and radical rethinking of its role in society and the arts. At the heart of the discussion is the concept of AI as a broad term encompassing various forms of machine intelligence, from natural language processing to computer vision. The paper criticizes the dominant anthropocentric view of intelligence and creativity, proposing a more inclusive approach that considers the diverse forms of intelligence present in other species and potentially in AI itself. It underscores the role of AI in shaping the art ecosystem, not just in the creative process but also in gatekeeping and decision-making. The paper proposes a framework for decolonizing AI in the art ecosystem, focusing on four key tasks: recognizing access as a form of power, understanding and addressing biases inherent in AI, assessing the impact of AI on marginalized communities, and challenging dominant narratives and epistemologies to create space for alternative voices and perspectives. In the globalization trend, China's cultural heritage is in danger of gradually disappearing. The protection and inheritance of these precious cultural resources has become a critical task. This paper focuses on the Miao batik culture in Guizhou Province, China, and explores the application of knowledge graphs, natural language processing, and deep learning techniques in the promotion and protection of batik culture. We propose a dual-channel mechanism that integrates semantic and visual information, aiming to connect batik pattern features with cultural connotations. First, we use natural language processing techniques to automatically extract batik-related entities and relationships from the literature, and construct and visualize a structured batik pattern knowledge graph. Based on this knowledge graph, users can textually search and understand the images, meanings, taboos, and other cultural information of specific patterns. Second, for the batik pattern classification, we propose an improved ResNet34 model. By embedding average pooling and convolutional operations into the residual blocks and introducing long-range residual connections, the classification performance is enhanced. By inputting pattern images into this model, their categories can be accurately identified, and then the underlying cultural connotations can be understood. Experimental results show that our model outperforms other mainstream models in evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, achieving 94.46%, 94.47%, 93.62%, and 93.8%, respectively. This research provides new ideas for the digital protection of batik culture and demonstrates the great potential of artificial intelligence technology in cultural heritage protection. This paper presents an analysis on information disorder in social media platforms. The study employed methods such as Natural Language Processing, Topic Modeling, and Knowledge Graph building to gain new insights into the phenomenon of fake news and its impact on critical thinking and knowledge management. The analysis focused on four research questions: 1) the distribution of misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation across different platforms; 2) recurring themes in fake news and their visibility; 3) the role of artificial intelligence as an authoritative and/or spreader agent; and 4) strategies for combating information disorder. The role of AI was highlighted, both as a tool for fact-checking and building truthiness identification bots, and as a potential amplifier of false narratives. Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques leverage the justice system in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. AI-empowered multi-label crime classification can facilitate the precise and expedient categorization of various legal documents. Multi-label classification within the justice system has an indispensable role in achieving accurate legal categorization that invigorates case analysis, optimizes resource distribution and refines the contours of legal processes. To support this critical function, this paper proposes a temporal convolutional network (TCN)-bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT)-coupled model for multi-label crime classification. The proposed method fuses the temporal formation and semantic information in the model to obtain a high-quality result. In hospital settings, effective risk management is critical to ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. Conventional approaches to risk assessment and mitigation frequently rely on manual procedures and retroactive analysis, which might not be sufficient to recognize and respond to new risks as they arise. This study examines how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can improve risk management procedures in healthcare facilities, fortifying patient safety precautions and guidelines while improving the standard of care overall. Hospitals can proactively identify and mitigate risks, optimize resource allocation, and improve clinical outcomes by utilizing AI-driven predictive analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning algorithms. In this work we design an information extraction tool text2alm capable of narrative understanding with a focus on action verbs. This tool uses an action language ALM to perform inferences on complex interactions of events described in narratives. The methodology used to implement the text2alm system was originally outlined by Lierler, Inclezan, and Gelfond (In IWCS 2017 – 12th International Conference on Computational Semantics – Short Papers (2017)) via a manual process of converting a narrative to an ALM model. We refine that theoretical methodology and utilize it in design of the text2alm system. This system relies on a conglomeration of resources and techniques from two distinct fields of artificial intelligence, namely, (i) knowledge representation and reasoning and (ii) natural language processing. The effectiveness of system text2alm is measured by its ability to correctly answer questions from the bAbI tasks published by Facebook Research in 2015. This tool matched or exceeded the performance of state-of-the-art machine learning methods in six of the seven tested tasks. We also illustrate that the text2alm approach generalizes to a broader spectrum of narratives. On the path to creating system text2alm, a semantic role labeler text2drs was designed. Its unique feature is the use of the elements of the fine grained linguistic ontology VerbNet as semantic roles/labels in annotating considered text. Educational technology innovations leveraging large language models (LLMs) have shown the potential to automate the laborious process of generating and analysing textual content. While various innovations have been developed to automate a range of educational tasks (eg, question generation, feedback provision, and essay grading), there are concerns regarding the practicality and ethicality of these innovations. Such concerns may hinder future research and the adoption of LLMs‐based innovations in authentic educational contexts. To address this, we conducted a systematic scoping review of 118 peer‐reviewed papers published since 2017 to pinpoint the current state of research on using LLMs to automate and support educational tasks. The findings revealed 53 use cases for LLMs in automating education tasks, categorised into nine main categories: profiling/labelling, detection, grading, teaching support, prediction, knowledge representation, feedback, content generation, and recommendation. Additionally, we also identified several practical and ethical challenges, including low technological readiness, lack of replicability and transparency and insufficient privacy and beneficence considerations. The findings were summarised into three recommendations for future studies, including updating existing innovations with state‐of‐the‐art models (eg, GPT‐3/4), embracing the initiative of open‐sourcing models/systems, and adopting a human‐centred approach throughout the developmental process. As the intersection of AI and education is continuously evolving, the findings of this study can serve as an essential reference point for researchers, allowing them to leverage the strengths, learn from the limitations, and uncover potential research opportunities enabled by ChatGPT and other generative AI models. Introduction: The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) chat programs has opened two distinct paths, one enhancing interaction and another potentially replacing personal understanding. Ethical and legal concerns arise due to the rapid development of these programs. This paper investigates academic discussions on AI in medicine, analyzing the context, frequency, and reasons behind these conversations. Methods: The study collected data from the Web of Science database on articles containing the keyword "ChatGPT" published from January to September 2023, resulting in 786 medically related journal articles. The inclusion criteria were peer-reviewed articles in English related to medicine. Results: The United States led in publications (38.1%), followed by India (15.5%) and China (7.0%). Keywords such as "patient" (16.7%), "research" (12%), and "performance" (10.6%) were prevalent. The Cureus Journal of Medical Science (11.8%) had the most publications, followed by the Annals of Biomedical Engineering (8.3%). August 2023 had the highest number of publications (29.3%), with significant growth between February to March and April to May. Medical General Internal (21.0%) was the most common category, followed by Surgery (15.4%) and Radiology (7.9%). Discussion: The prominence of India in ChatGPT research, despite lower research funding, indicates the platform's popularity and highlights the importance of monitoring its use for potential medical misinformation. China's interest in ChatGPT research suggests a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) AI applications, despite public bans on the platform. Cureus' success in publishing ChatGPT articles can be attributed to its open-access, rapid publication model. The study identifies research trends in plastic surgery, radiology, and obstetric gynecology, emphasizing the need for ethical considerations and reliability assessments in the application of ChatGPT in medical practice. Conclusion: ChatGPT's presence in medical literature is growing rapidly across various specialties, but concerns related to safety, privacy, and accuracy persist. The paper discusses the capacities and limitations of current artificial intelligence (AI) technology to solve word problems that combine elementary mathematics with commonsense reasoning. No existing AI systems can solve these reliably. We review three approaches that have been developed, using AI natural language technology: outputting the answer directly, outputting a computer program that solves the problem, and outputting a formalized representation that can be input to an automated theorem verifier. We review some benchmarks that have been developed to evaluate these systems and some experimental studies. We discuss the limitations of the existing technology at solving these kinds of problems. We argue that it is not clear whether these kinds of limitations will be important in developing AI technology for pure mathematical research, but that they will be important in applications of mathematics, and may well be important in developing programs capable of reading and understanding mathematical content written by humans. LLMs have immense potential in transforming pathology practice and education, but these models are not infallible, so any artificial intelligence generated content must be verified with reputable sources. Microelectronics production failure analysis is an important step in improving product quality and development. In fact, the understanding of the failure mechanisms and therefore the implementation of corrective actions on the cause of the failure depend on the results of this analysis. These analyses are saved under textual features format. Then such data need first to be preprocessed and vectorized (converted to numeric). Second, to overcome the curse of dimensionality caused by the vectorisation process, a dimension reduction is applied. A two-stage variable selection and feature extraction is used to reduce the high dimensionality of a feature space. We are first interested in studying the potential of using an unsupervised variable selection technique, the genetic algorithm, to identify the variables that best demonstrate discrimination in the separation and compactness of groups of textual data. The genetic algorithm uses a combination of the K-means or Gaussian Mixture Model clustering and validity indices as a fitness function for optimization. Such a function improves both compactness and class separation. The second work looks into the feasibility of applying a feature extraction technique. The adopted methodology is a Deep learning algorithm based on variational autoencoder (VAE) for latent space disentanglement and Gaussian Mixture Model for clustering of the latent space for cluster identification. The last objective of this paper is to propose a new methodology based on the combination between variational autoencoder (VAE) for the latent space disentanglement, and genetic algorithm (GA) to find, in an unsupervised way, the latent variables allowing the best discrimination of clusters of failure analysis data. This methodology is called VAE-GA. Experiments on textual datasets of failure analysis demonstrate the effectiveness of the VAE-GA proposed method which allows better discrimination of textual classes compared to the use of GA or VAE separately or the combination of PCA with GA (PCA-GA) or a simple Auto-encoders with GA (AE-GA). Data extraction is a time‐consuming and resource‐intensive task in the systematic review process. Natural language processing (NLP) artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have the potential to automate data extraction saving time and resources, accelerating the review process, and enhancing the quality and reliability of extracted data. In this paper, we propose a method for using Bing AI and Microsoft Edge as a second reviewer to verify and enhance data items first extracted by a single human reviewer. We describe a worked example of the steps involved in instructing the Bing AI Chat tool to extract study characteristics as data items from a PDF document into a table so that they can be compared with data extracted manually. We show that this technique may provide an additional verification process for data extraction where there are limited resources available or for novice reviewers. However, it should not be seen as a replacement to already established and validated double independent data extraction methods without further evaluation and verification. Use of AI techniques for data extraction in systematic reviews should be transparently and accurately described in reports. Future research should focus on the accuracy, efficiency, completeness, and user experience of using Bing AI for data extraction compared with traditional methods using two or more reviewers independently. Semantic relatedness is one of the most significant aspects of natural language processing. It has been identified as a critical technology for developing intelligent systems like Siri, Microsoft Ice, Cortana, and Xiaoai. In 2014, SemEval ranked SR as the top task. While many existing studies have focused on analyzing the entailment of single phrases, advancements in deep learning have made it possible to analyze complete sentences or texts. While the natural parallelism of membrane computing has shown promise for data processing, harnessing this potential to advance semantic relatedness remains an open problem yet to be tackled. This paper proposes a novel Siamese Manhattan LSTM-SNP approach (SiMaLSTM-SNP) for the SR problem. The approach uses a collaborative Word2vec and 10-Layer Attention strategy to represent and extract sentence pairs and a Siamese LSTM-SNP structure to calculate the hidden states of sentences. The multi-head self-attention layer identifies text associations and redistributes hidden state weights. The last hidden state is extracted, and the relatedness score is calculated using the Manhattan distance. The experiments demonstrate that SiMaLSTM-SNP outperforms 17 classical SR baselines and 7 novel approaches on the standard datasets SICK and STS in terms of mean square error performance. The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) of British Columbia suggested that a paradigm shift from weight to well-being could address the unintended consequences of focusing on obesity and improve the outcomes of efforts to address the challenges facing both individuals and our healthcare system. In this paper, we jointly used artificial intelligence (AI) and participatory modeling to examine the possible consequences of this paradigm shift. Specifically, we created a conceptual map with 19 experts to understand how obesity and physical and mental well-being connect to each other and other factors. Three analyses were performed. First, we analyzed the factors that directly connect to obesity and well-being, both in terms of causes and consequences. Second, we created a reduced version of the map and examined the connections between categories of factors (e.g., food production, and physiology). Third, we explored the themes in the interviews when discussing either well-being or obesity. Our results show that obesity was viewed from a medical perspective as a problem, whereas well-being led to broad and diverse solution-oriented themes. In particular, we found that taking a well-being perspective can be more comprehensive without losing the relevance of the physiological aspects that an obesity-centric perspective focuses on. Systematic reviews are cumbersome yet essential to the epistemic process of medical science. Finding significant reports, however, is a daunting task because the sheer volume of published literature makes the manual screening of databases time-consuming. The use of Artificial Intelligence could make literature processing faster and more efficient. Sentence transformers are groundbreaking algorithms that can generate rich semantic representations of text documents and allow for semantic queries. In the present report, we compared four freely available sentence transformer pre-trained models (all-MiniLM-L6-v2, all-MiniLM-L12-v2, all-mpnet-base-v2, and All-distilroberta-v1) on a convenience sample of 6110 articles from a published systematic review. The authors of this review manually screened the dataset and identified 24 target articles that addressed the Focused Questions (FQ) of the review. We applied the four sentence transformers to the dataset and, using the FQ as a query, performed a semantic similarity search on the dataset. The models identified similarities between the FQ and the target articles to a varying degree, and, sorting the dataset by semantic similarities using the best-performing model (all-mpnet-base-v2), the target articles could be found in the top 700 papers out of the 6110 dataset. Our data indicate that the choice of an appropriate pre-trained model could remarkably reduce the number of articles to screen and the time to completion for systematic reviews. In recent years, along with the rapid development in the domain of artificial intelligence and aerospace, aerospace combined with artificial intelligence is the future trend. As an important basic tool for Natural Language Processing, Named Entity Recognition technology can help obtain key relevant knowledge from a large number of aerospace data. In this paper, we produced an aerospace domain entity recognition dataset containing 30 k sentences in Chinese and developed a named entity recognition model that is Multi-Feature Fusion Transformer (MFT), which combines features such as words and radicals to enhance the semantic information of the sentences. In our model, the double Feed-forward Neural Network is exploited as well to ensure MFT better performance. We use our aerospace dataset to train MFT. Large language models (LLMs) have substantially pushed artificial intelligence (AI) research and applications in the last few years. They are currently able to achieve high effectiveness in different natural language processing (NLP) tasks, such as machine translation, named entity recognition, text classification, question answering, or text summarization. Recently, significant attention has been drawn to OpenAI's GPT models' capabilities and extremely accessible interface. LLMs are nowadays routinely used and studied for downstream tasks and specific applications with great success, pushing forward the state of the art in almost all of them. In this paper, the authors review extant natural language processing models in the context of undergraduate mechanical engineering education. These models have advanced to a stage where it has become increasingly more difficult to discern computer vs. human-produced material, and as a result, have understandably raised questions about their impact on academic integrity. As part of our review, we perform two sets of tests with OpenAI's natural language processing model (1) using GPT-3 to generate text for a mechanical engineering laboratory report and (2) using Codex to generate code for an automation and control systems laboratory. Our results show that natural language processing is a potentially powerful assistive technology for engineering students. However, it is a technology that must be used with care, given its potential to enable cheating and plagiarism behaviours given how the technology challenges traditional assessment practices and traditional notions of authorship. Over the past year, ChatGPT's initial applications across diverse fields have progressed amid debates on its ethical implications and inherent biases. This paper investigates the comprehension level of ChatGPT 4.0 regarding cementitious composites and initiates preliminary research into its application in cementitious composites，including ordinary Portland cement (OPC) concrete, Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC), and Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC). Initially, the study designed forty-five progressively challenging questions to examine the readability and accuracy of ChatGPT's responses related to cementitious composites. Building on this, the research explored the feasibility of utilizing ChatGPT for the identification and analysis of ECC cracks, the design of mix proportions for cementitious composites, and the real-time analysis of carbon emissions. The results demonstrate ChatGPT 4.0's proficiency in acquiring foundational knowledge of cementitious composites, a capability verified through interactive human-computer modalities for analysing crack quantity and width, formulating preliminary material compositions, and providing instantaneous feedback on carbon emissions. However, the study also uncovers ChatGPT 4.0's limitations in understanding the complex design mathematics and mechanics underlying cementitious composites, as well as its inadequate ability to synthesise and integrate interdisciplinary knowledge, occasionally leading to arbitrary and forced responses. These findings underscore the need for further enhancements in algorithmic sophistication and database comprehensiveness. However, traditional corpus-based keyword extraction methods involve limitations, such as the inability to automatically exclude meaningless words, evaluate the relative importance of keyword parameters, and integrate parameters for comprehensively keyword evaluation. To address these limitations, this paper proposes an entropy-based corpus method. The proposed method first optimizes the keyword list by excluding function and generic words using a machine-based technique (word types decrease by 5.76%; total words decrease by 72.2%). Second, it calculates the objective weights of log-likelihood (0.5518), frequency (0.4048), and range (0.0433) parameters to define their relative importance, facilitating parameter integration before evaluating keyword importance. Then, it calculates the aggregated value of each keyword to assess its level of importance. As a result, it streamlines the manual word selection process and comprehensively evaluates the importance of keywords. The tremendous growth the pharmaceutical field witnessed especially concerning drug-development, caused drug-related experiments such as those concerned with estimating their interactions with targets harder to conduct. This issue led researchers to transition from vivo and vitro to selico experimenting methods, which deploy artificial intelligence (AI) techniques such as recommender systems (RS) to solve problems at hand. However, most RSs depend on global features such as indices, which render them incapable of fully understanding the behaviors of individuals. In this paper, we introduce our Convolutional Recurrent Deep Learning model-based RS approach, or 'RSCRDL', which tackles the interaction prediction problem from a natural language processing approach's (NLP) point of view. RSCDRL processes the textual representations of both protein sequences and drugs in order to learn the implicit features of the tokens forming them, rendering it able to process unseen and non-reactive individuals indirectly. We also present a greedier variant of RSCRDL that can exploit additional drugs explicit features for better predictive abilities. Experiments performed on two real-world datasets show significant outperformance achieved by our models over two general-purpose state-of-the-art RSs, while other experiments conducted on orphan protein sequences helped deduce drug candidates that are assumed to be capable of inhibiting their activities. Traditional methods for designing concrete materials typically rely on labor-intensive laboratory experiments, resulting in time and cost inefficiencies. Recently, designing concrete using artificial intelligence (AI) methods has shown high efficiency, but existing AI methods often rely solely on data, which can lead to violation with scientific principles and result in models lacking reasoning abilities. To overcome these challenges, this paper presents an interpretable knowledge graph-guided data-driven design approach. By integrating advanced computing techniques with domain knowledge via knowledge graphs, this approach enables the interpretation of data-driven models and uncovers the underlying mechanisms behind predictions. This approach is applied to ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) involving complex physicochemical reactions. The domain knowledge about UHPC is imparted using a knowledge graph, and UHPC properties are predicted using a machine learning model considering mixing proportions, processing methods, and physiochemical properties of materials via natural language processing. The results show that the knowledge graph displays crucial design variables and their effects on UHPC properties, aiding in selecting variables for machine learning models and interpreting their results. AMoC has its roots in two theoretical models of the comprehension process (i.e., the Construction-Integration model and the Landscape model), and the new version leverages state-of-the-art Large Language models, more specifically ChatGPT, to have a better contextualization of the text and a simplified construction of the underlying graph model. Besides showcasing the usage of the model, the study introduces three in-depth psychological validations that argue for the model's adequacy in modeling reading comprehension. In these studies, we demonstrated that AMoC is in line with the theoretical background proposed by the Construction-Integration and Landscape models, and it is better at replicating results from previous human psychological experiments than its predecessor. Thus, AMoC v4.0 can be further used as an educational tool to, for example, help teachers design better learning materials personalized for student profiles. Online social networks can be used for mental healthcare monitoring using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for detecting various mental health disorders and corresponding risk assessment. Recent research in this domain has primarily been focused on leveraging deep neural networks and various Transformer based Large Language Models, which have now become state-of-the-art for most natural language processing and computational linguistic tasks due to their unmatched prediction accuracy. Unlike conventional machine learning algorithms, these deep neural networks are black box architectures, where it is difficult to interpret and explain their predicted outcome. However, a black box classification outcome is insufficient for healthcare applications. Such systems will not be widely adopted and trusted by healthcare practitioners if they are not able to understand and explain the reasoning behind the predicted decisions made by an AI and ML based healthcare diagnostic system. The key objective of our research is to demonstrate the applications of model agnostic, post hoc surrogate XAI techniques for providing explainability to classification decisions of pretrained LLMs (Transformers) based mental healthcare diagnostic systems fine-tuned (or trained) to detect depressive and suicidal behavior using UGC from online social networks. For this, we have used the two most recent and popular techniques, SHAP and LIME. We have conducted extensive and in-depth experiments with four datasets and six pretrained LLMs, three of which have already been domain-adapted using mental health related datasets. We have also performed Few Shot Learning experiments with these three pretrained mental health domain-adapted LLMs. The results of qualitative and descriptive data analysis in this paper demonstrate that in order to build a comprehensive understanding of a person's psychological state, emotion, and behavior and to discover the causes, symptoms, and triggers of mental health issues, it is essential to utilize e X pl AI nable (XAI) techniques with Transformer based LLMs (supervised). Alternatively, Transformer based unsupervised topic modeling technique BERTopic may be used for mental health risk monitoring and cause or symptom extraction when supervised training of LLMs is not feasible due to dataset annotation or availability challenges. The proliferation of social networks has presented a significant challenge in combating the pervasive issue of fake news within modern societies. Due to the large amount of information and news produced daily in text, audio, and video, the validation and verification of this information have become crucial tasks. Leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence, distinguishing between fake news and factual information through automatic fake news detection systems has become more feasible. Automatic fake news detection has been explored from diverse perspectives, employing various feature extraction and classification models. Nonetheless, empirical evaluations, categorization, and comparisons of existing techniques for handling this problem remain limited. In this paper, we revisit the definitions and perspectives of fake news and propose an updated taxonomy for the field based on multiple criteria: (1) Type of features used in fake news detection; (2) Fake news detection perspectives; (3) Feature representation methods; and (4) Classification approaches. Moreover, we conduct an extensive empirical study to evaluate several feature representation techniques and classification approaches based on accuracy and computational cost. Our experimental results demonstrate that the optimal feature extraction techniques vary depending on the characteristics of the dataset. Notably, context-dependent models based on transformer models consistently exhibit superior performance. Additionally, employing transformer models as feature extraction methods, rather than solely fine-tuning the network for the downstream task, improves overall performance. Through extensive error analysis, we identify that a combination of feature representation methods and classification algorithms, including classical ones, offer complementary aspects and should be considered for achieving better generalization performance while maintaining a relatively low computational cost.
