In this paper, the notion of the ravine of real-valued functions is extended from the finite-dimensional setting to an infinite-dimensional setting. Ravines of quadratic functions are studied in detail. The obtained results solve a problem raised by Professor Joachim Gwinner. In addition, it is proved that a weakly continuous real-valued convex function defined on a reflexive Banach space cannot have any ravine along the null subspace. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the optimality and scalarization for approximate solutions to a Constrained Vector Equilibrium Problem (CVEP). The optimality conditions are given in terms of Michel-Penot subdifferentials, and the scalarization theorems are proposed via a strongly monotone cone convex function. We firstly establish a necessary condition for an approximate quasi weakly efficient solution to problem (CVEP). Then, a sufficient condition for approximate quasi Benson proper efficient solutions to problem (CVEP) is examined under the newly introduced generalized convexity assumptions. Finally, by using the properties of Bishop-Phelps cone, we present the scalarization theorems for approximate quasi weakly (Benson proper) efficient solutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, by revisiting intersection rules for normal cones, we give formulas for estimating or computing the Fréchet/Mordukhovich/Moreau–Rockafellar subdifferentials of optimal value functions of constrained parametric optimization problems under metric qualification conditions. The results are then applied to derive chain rules for composite functions in both convex and nonconvex situations. Illustrative examples and comparisons to existing results, including those of Mordukhovich and Shao (Trans Amer Math Soc 348:1235–1280, 1996), Mordukhovich et al. This paper introduces new versions of Hermite–Hadamard, midpoint- and trapezoid-type inequalities involving fractional integral operators with exponential kernels. We explore these inequalities for differentiable convex functions and demonstrate their connections with classical integrals. This paper validates the derived inequalities through a numerical example with graphical representations and provides some practical applications, highlighting their relevance to special means. This study presents novel results, offering new insights into classical integrals as the fractional order β approaches 1, in addition to the fractional integrals we examined.

In this paper, we give simple proofs for the bounds (some of them sharp) of the difference of the moduli of the second and the first logarithmic coefficient for the general class of univalent functions and for the class of convex univalent functions.

Abstract In this paper, we prove an equality for twice-differentiable convex functions involving the conformable fractional integrals. Moreover, several Bullen-type inequalities are established for twice-differentiable functions. More precisely, conformable fractional integrals are used to derive such inequalities. Furthermore, sundry significant inequalities are obtained by taking advantage of the convexity, Hölder inequality, and power-mean inequality. Finally, we provide our results by using special cases of obtained theorems.

We prove a weighted $ L^{p} $ boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integral operators along surfaces on product domains. For various classes of surfaces, we prove the boundedness of the corresponding operators on the weighted Lebsgue space $ L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n}\times\mathbb{R}^{m}, \, \omega _{1}(x)dx, \, \omega_{2}(y)dy) $, provided that the weights $ \omega_{1} $ and $ \omega_{2} $ are certain radial weights and that the kernels are rough in the optimal space $ L(\log L)(\mathbb{S}^{n-1}\times\mathbb{S}^{m-1}) $. In particular, we prove the boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integral operators along surfaces determined by mappings that are more general than polynomials and convex functions. Also, in this paper we prove the weighted $ L^{p} $ boundedness of the related square and maximal functions. Our weighted $ L^{p} $ inequalities extend as well as generalize previously known $ L^{p} $ boundedness results.

In mathematics and the applied sciences, as a very useful tool, fractional calculus is a basic concept. Furthermore, in many areas of mathematics, it is better to use a new hybrid fractional operator, which combines the proportional and Caputo operators. So we concentrate on the proportional Caputo-hybrid operator because of its numerous applications. In this research, we introduce a novel extension of the Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities for proportional Caputo-hybrid operator and establish an identity. Then, taking into account this novel generalized identity, we develop some integral inequalities associated with the left-side of Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities for proportional Caputo-hybrid operator. Here, we propose a practical method for solving nonsmooth convex problems by using conjugate gradient-type methods. The conjugate gradient method is one of the most remarkable methods to solve smooth and large-scale optimization problems. As a result of this fact, We present a modified HS conjugate gradient method. In the case that we have a nonsmooth convex problem, by the Moreau-Yosida regularization, we convert the nonsmooth objective function to a smooth function and then we use our method, by making use of a nonmonotone line search, for solving a nonsmooth convex optimization problem. We derive upper bounds on the fluctuations of a class of random surfaces of the - type with convex interaction potentials. The Brascamp-Lieb concentration inequality provides an upper bound on these fluctuations for uniformly convex potentials. We extend these results to twice continuously differentiable convex potentials whose second derivative grows asymptotically like a polynomial and may vanish on an (arbitrarily large) interval. Specifically, we prove that, when the underlying graph is the d-dimensional torus of side length L, the variance of the height is smaller than C lnL in two dimensions and remains bounded in dimension d = 3. The proof makes use of the Helffer-Sjöstrand representation formula (originally introduced by Helffer and Sjöstrand (1994) and used by Naddaf and Spencer (1997) and Giacomin, Olla Spohn (2001) to identify the scaling limit of the model), the anchored Nash inequality (and the corresponding on-diagonal heat kernel upper bound) established by Mourrat and Otto (2016) and Efron's monotonicity theorem for log-concave measures (Efron (1965)). In the current paper, we introduce new subclasses of analytic and bi-univalent functions involving Caputo-type fractional derivatives subordinating to the Lucas polynomial. Furthermore, we find non-sharp estimates on the first two Taylor–Maclaurin coefficients a2 and a3 for functions in these subclasses. Using the values of a2 and a3, we determined Fekete–Szegő inequality for functions in these subclasses. Moreover, we pointed out some more subclasses by fixing the parameters involved in Lucas polynomial and stated the estimates and Fekete–Szegő inequality results without proof.

This paper aims to examine an approach that studies many Euler–Maclaurin-type inequalities for various function classes applying Riemann–Liouville fractional integrals. Afterwards, our results are provided by using special cases of obtained theorems and examples. Moreover, several Euler–Maclaurin-type inequalities are presented for bounded functions by fractional integrals. Some fractional Euler–Maclaurin-type inequalities are established for Lipschitzian functions. Finally, several Euler–Maclaurin-type inequalities are constructed by fractional integrals of bounded variation.

In this paper, we create a new subclass of convex functions given with tangent functions applying the combination of Babalola operators and Binomial series. Moreover, we obtain several important geometric results, including sharp coefficient bounds, sharp Fekete–Szego inequality, Kruskal inequality, and growth and distortion estimates. Furthermore, for functions with logarithmic coefficients, we compute sharp Fekete–Szego inequality and sharp coefficient bounds.

In this paper, various tensorial inequalities of trapezoid type were obtained. Identity from classical analysis is utilized to obtain the tensorial version of the said identity which in turn allowed us to obtain tensorial inequalities in Hilbert space. The continuous functions of self-adjoint operators in Hilbert spaces have several tensorial norm inequalities discovered in this study. The convexity features of the mapping f lead to the variation in several inequalities of the trapezoid type.
