Time series dynamic prediction of surface deformation in mining areas can provide reference data for coal mine safety and production, which has important impacts. The combination of interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technology and the probability integral method (PIM) is commonly used for predicting deformation. However, most surface subsidence prediction in mining areas is based on the static PIM parameters, failing to achieve the three-dimensional (3D) dynamic deformation prediction. This paper proposed a 3D deformation dynamic prediction model (InSAR-3D-CTPIM) between InSAR deformation observations and dynamic coordinate-time PIM (CTPIM) parameters, which can realize the prediction of east–west, north–south, and vertical series deformation caused by mining. The method has been validated by simulation experiments and real experiments in the mining area of Jiansheng Coal Mine in Baisha Reservoir, Henan Province, China. The results showed that the modeling accuracy was improved by 34.3% compared to the traditional multi-rate model, and the accuracy was improved by 28.5% compared to the vertical deformation obtained by the traditional static PIM method. The InSAR-3D-CTPIM model can be used to predict the evolutionary history of basin-wide surface deformation dynamics in coal mining areas, and provide a reference for the early warning and prediction of geological hazards in coal mining areas. This paper explores the intersection of spirituality and martial arts through an in-depth examination of Shaolin Kung Fu as practiced within the Shaolin Monastery in Henan Province, China. Conducting fieldwork from April 2018 to August 2020, the study employs theories of practice and embodiment to understand how religious teachings are interwoven into physical movements and martial practices. This phenomenological analysis of bodily movement integrates the physical body with the sense of self, highlighting the relationship between individual habitus and the agency of the moving body, referred to as the "lived body." It argues that Shaolin martial artists engage in a form of dynamic embodiment, where Chan Buddhist doctrines are embedded within the "lived body," influencing both movement and perception. This process allows practitioners to interpret and interact with their socio-cultural environment through a religious lens, highlighting the deep connection between spiritual beliefs and bodily actions. The paper presents a comprehensive approach, combining intensive participant observation, historical analysis, and a close look at both the communal and individual aspects of monastic life and learning. By examining narratives, daily routines, and pedagogical methods, the study reveals how the socio-cultural setting of the monastery fosters collective habitus and transforms the individual habitus of practitioners. It shows how this transformation contributes to the development of a spiritual dimension in their martial performance. By highlighting the link between the habitus, the lived body, and the dynamic embodiment, the paper extends the current discourse on embodiment, offering a novel perspective on the relationship between spirituality, culture, and physical practice in the context of Shaolin Kung Fu. Safety, progress, and investment risks are correlated during the construction period of large-scale water transfer projects. However, previous studies have only considered individual risk factors, overlooking the potential systemic risk posed to safety, progress, and investment, as well as any underlying common cause failures. Since traditional risk analysis methods are ill-suited to addressing common cause failure, this paper's objective was to establish a comprehensive evaluation index framework and to identify the basic events of common cause failure. To do that, we developed a risk analysis method that models common cause failure based on a Bayesian network for assessing that systemic risk. The Henan Section of the Yangtze-to-Huaihe River Water Diversion Project in China was then used as a case study. The results show that a variety of common cause failure events, such as epidemic disease, design alteration, lagged approval process, heavy rain in the flood season, renewal material and failing equipment, construction accidents, and external interference, can significantly impact the safety, progress, and investment systemic risk. Design alteration poses the greatest risk, with renewal material and failing equipment exerting the strongest influence among all common cause failure events. It is also possible to elucidate the predominant causal chains; specifically, the contributing influence of each basic failure event to the systemic risk can be clarified by adjusting their respective initial state. The failure of renewal material and failing equipment was found to significantly increase the safety risk. This study effectively simulated the complex causal relationships and uncertainties of pertinent risk factors, thereby enhancing our understanding of the systemic risk associated with safety, progress, and investment in large-scale water transfer projects. Introduction: The impact of farm machinery outsourcing services (FMOS) on grain production has been extensively studied in the literature. However, whether FMOS would adjust cropping structures and ensure food security is little known. To address this research gap, we analyzed the impact of FMOS on the cropping structure adjustment and grain production of farmers. Methods: We estimate the impact of FMOS on grain production by using data collected from a survey of 3,863 wheat farmers in China. We employ the Extended Regression Model (ERM) to address selectivity bias. Results and discussion: The empirical results show that FMOS can adjust the cropping structure and increase the proportion of household food cultivation. Among all segments of FMOS, fertilizer application services drive the increase in grain acreage more significantly. We also find that large-scale households prefer to self-purchase farm machinery rather than FMOS, leading to an insignificant impact of FMOS on cropping structure. Therefore, in the process of promoting the development of FMOS, we should focus on the coordinated development of various types of FMOS, strengthen the popularization and application of fertilization services, and formulate a differentiated subsidy policy for heterogeneous farmers in terms of scale to better play the role of agricultural machinery in promoting grain production. Ahp is adopted to set questionnaires and collect data with Likert5-level scale, and yaahp software is used to verify the weight verification evaluation effect. The information released by the public on various social media platforms can assist experts in decision-making, thus improving the reliability of the decision-making results and increasing their likelihood of gaining public support. However, the determination of how to fully integrate public opinions with expert opinions and in what aspects to realize the integration is a research topic worthy of attention. Based on this, this paper proposes a multi-subject weighted information fusion method that fully considers public opinion. First, the Bayesian subject model is used to obtain the attribute set of public opinion, and the sentiment analysis technique is used to calculate the reference attribute weights. Second, public opinion is utilized to improve the traditional best–worst method to determine the subjective attribute weights of experts at a faster rate. Third, expert weights are determined using "knowledge" and attribute weights are defined at the aggregate level. Fourth, the cluster weights are determined according to the proximity of the clustered opinions to the public opinions, and the clustered opinions are then summarized to get the overall decision-making information, thus scientifically realizing the synergistic decision-making between the public and experts. Finally, the case of a rainstorm emergency in Henan Province, China, is used to analyze and determine the best plan that matches with the actual situation, and the results are then compared with the findings of existing research to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. [Ag6]4+ clusters are extremely rare in nature (only found in Ag-rich tetrahedrite group minerals). Due to their remarkable structures and some promising applications, a few synthesis phases that contain octahedral [Ag6]4+ clusters have been reported. However, the kinds of natural conditions that promote the formation of subvalent hexasilver clusters in tetrahedrite group minerals are still unclear. Kenorozhdestvenskayaite-(Fe), ideally Ag6(Ag4Fe2)Sb4S12□ is a new tetrahedrite group mineral containing a natural [Ag6]4+ cluster, found in the Yindongpo gold deposit, Weishancheng ore field, Henan Province, China. This new species occurs at the edges of galena crystals as anhedral grains of 2 to 20 μm in size and is associated with pyrargyrite, pyrrhotite, and siderite. Kenorozhdestvenskayaite-(Fe) is black in color with metallic luster. It is brittle with conchoidal fracture and has a calculated density of 5.329 g/cm3. The empirical formula calculated on the basis of cation = 16 apfu is M(2)Ag6M(1)(Ag2.41Cu1.20Fe1.84Zn0.71)Σ6.16X(3)(Sb3.82As0.01)Σ3.83S(1)S11.60S(2)□. It is cubic, with space group I 4 3m, a = 10.7119(6) Å, V = 1229.1(2) Å3, and Z = 2. Since kenorozhdestvenskayaite-(Fe) is a new tetrahedrite group mineral containing a natural [Ag6]4+ cluster, its structure is comparable to the synthetic ternary phosphide (Ag6M4P12) M 6 ′ . The presence of the unusual mineral assemblages, i.e., pyrrhotite and pyrargyrite, as well as the other keno-end-member tetrahedrites, indicates a low-fS2 state for the mineralization stage, probably a result of the fluid boiling process in an open system that likely contributed to the formation of S-deficient tetrahedrites. Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) pathogenesis may involve metalloids in a significant way. The aim of our study was to identify potential links between MDD and metalloid elements [boron (B), germanium (Ge), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb)]. Methods: A total of 72 MDD cases and 75 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from Zhumadian Second People's Hospital in Henan Province, China. The levels of four metallic elements (B, Ge, As, and Sb) in the serum and urine were measured using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Results: In comparison to the HCs, the B, As, and Sb levels were considerably lower in the MDD group (p < 0.05) in the serum; the MDD group had significantly higher (p < 0.05) and significantly lower (p < 0.001) B and Sb levels in the urine. After adjusting for potential confounders, serum B (OR = 0.120; 95% CI, 0.048, 0.300; p < 0.001) and Sb (OR = 0.133; 95% CI, 0.055, 0.322; p < 0.001) showed a negative correlation with MDD. Urine B had a negative correlation (OR = 0.393; 95% CI, 0.193, 0.801; p = 0.01) with MDD, while urine Sb had a positive correlation (OR = 3.335; 95% CI, 1.654, 6.726; p = 0.001) with MDD. In the context of ecological civilization construction in China, interregional ancient trees are important natural and cultural resources, and it is vital that they are effectively protected and utilized according to their spatial distribution and regional conditions in order to provide a balance between local economic development and the ecological environment. This article analyzes the spatial heterogeneity of 26,842 ancient trees and explores the underlying natural and human factors by using geoinformatics–based techniques (i.e., the nearest neighbor index, kernel density, spatial autocorrelation, and the geographically weighted regression model) in Henan Province, Central China. The research findings conclude that: (1) The interregional ancient trees show positive spatial autocorrelation, and the aggregation effect in Western Henan is the most significant. (2) The growing environment and elevation exert a more obvious influence on the spatial pattern of interregional ancient trees. (3) The main influencing factors per region are different, for example, historical culture in Western Henan, water source and elevation in Southern Henan, and the growing environment in Eastern Henan, while ancient trees in Northern Henan have a weak relationship with each factor. This study aims to estimate the net effect of China's entrepreneurship policy on back-home migrant workers since 2015. Using survey data from the provinces of; Zhejiang, Henan, and Guizhou with propensity score matching to control selection bias, the study indicates that the overall entrepreneurship policy has a significant positive impact on the probability of entrepreneurial entry. The poverty alleviation effect of the overall policy is greater than its industrial development effect, while the employment effect is not significant. The infrastructure policy's effect on employment, industrial development, and poverty alleviation is greater than the other policies, and the financial policy's effect on these three aspects is not significant. This study contributes to the existing literature by addressing a well-defined gap regarding the net effect of entrepreneurship policy on entrepreneurship entry and provides well-supported and plausible explanations for the inconsistencies among previous studies on policy effect indicators. As a practical contribution, this study provides China and other developing economies with compelling empirical evidence to support the design and amendment of entrepreneurship policy at the national level. The transport and dispersion (T&D) of catalyst particles seeded by weather modification aircraft is crucial for assessing their weather modification effects. This study investigates the capabilities of the Chinese geostationary weather satellite FY-4A for identifying the physical response of cloud seeding with AgI-based catalysts and continuously monitoring its evolution for a weather event that occurred on 15 December 2019 in Henan Province, China. Satellite measurements are also used to verify an operational catalyst T&D algorithm. The results show that FY-4A exhibits a remarkable capability of identifying the cloud-seeding tracks and continuously tracing their evolution for a period of over 3 h. About 60 min after the cloud seeding, the cloud crystallization track became clear in the FY-4A tri-channel composite cloud image and lasted for about 218 min. During this time period, the cloud track moved with the cloud system about 153 km downstream (northeast of the operation area). An operational catalyst T&D model was run to simulate the cloud track, and the outputs were extensively compared with the satellite observations. It was found that the forecast cloud track closely agreed with the satellite observations in terms of the track widths, morphology, and movement. Finally, the FY-4A measurements show that there were significant differences in the microphysical properties across the cloud track. The effective cloud radius inside the cloud track was up to 15 μm larger than that of the surrounding clouds; the cloud optical thickness was about 30 μm smaller; and the cloud-top heights inside the cloud track were up to 1 km lower. These features indicate that the cloud-seeding catalysts led to the development of ice-phase processes within the supercooled cloud, with the formation of large ice particles and some precipitation sedimentation. • The extent of flooding in China is greater than in any other country. • Nearly 66% of China's landmass is submerged by flooding. • Financial toll of flooding accounts for approximately 1.42% of the annual GDP. • Various forms of climatic change contribute to flooding. The extent of flooding in China is more significant than in any other country. Our research reveals that approximately 66 % of China's landmass is submerged by flooding, affecting about 50 % of the population. Furthermore, the financial toll of flooding now accounts for approximately 1.42 % of the annual gross domestic product (GDP), which is almost 40 times higher than the corresponding figure for the United States. We have observed that Zhengzhou city in Henan province, which faced a devastating flood in 2021, received a significant amount of rainfall, specifically a total of 552.5 mm within a 24-hour period. The floods in Henan province in 2021 caused considerable damage, including impacting nearly 15 million people, resulting in almost 400 deaths, damaging over 10,000 square kilometers of agricultural land, causing almost $19 billion in economic losses, and leading to the collapse of over 35,000 households and damage to various properties. In a similar manner, the significant flooding that occurred in southern China in 2020 impacted approximately 7.1 million individuals across eight provinces and resulted in 54 fatalities, the collapse of 6,700 houses, and incurred a direct economic loss of US$3.33 billion. We found that rainstorms have significantly increased to 10 % in the last 60 years in China. In this paper, we delved into exploring the existing published articles, reports, and government and authoritative legal texts to analyze the causes and impacts of flooding in China's flood-prone regions and potential mitigation strategies to reduce the repercussions of distressing flood events. Theoretically, agricultural insurance influences farmers' use of pesticides by changing the expected income of agricultural production. Full-cost insurance, with high guarantee and high compensation characteristics, may significantly affect farmers' pesticide use. First, this paper constructs a production function to characterize and compare the marginal incomes of insured and uninsured farmers under risk uncertainty and analyses how insured farmers can increase marginal income by increasing or reducing factor inputs. Considering scale differentiation, it discusses pesticide use strategies different types of farmers may adopt to maximize household utility. Second, using survey data of the pilot counties of full-cost insurance for wheat in Henan Province, China, the simultaneous equation model is used for empirical testing. The results reveal the following: (i) Farmers' insurance participation and pesticide application behaviour are not mutually independent. (ii) For the whole sample, full-cost insurance for wheat has a significant pesticide reduction effect. (iii) However, considering scale differentiation, pesticide application decreases significantly among insured ordinary farmers but does not change significantly among insured large-scale farmers. Monitoring of spatio-temporal changes in crop phenology is an important part of the remote sensing of agricultural ecosystems. In this study, the segment turning point method was utilised to determine several phenological dates of winter wheat in northern Henan from 2003 to 2018. The spatio-temporal variation characteristics of these main phenological dates were analyzed, and the effects of temperature and precipitation on phenological changes were investigated. The results showed that: (1) The segment turning point method had strong space-time adaptability, and the RMSE of extracted phenoloical dates of multi-stations in a single year or single station in multi-years was less than 10d. (2) Roughly bounded by 114°E, the trefoil stage, tillering stage, overwintering stage and rising stage of winter wheat in the west were earlier than those in the east of northern Henan in 2018. (3) From 2003 to 2018, the interannual change rates of the trefoil date, tillering date, overwintering date, rising date, booting date, and milky date of winter wheat were 6.92 d/10a, 4.36 d/10a, 0.74 d/10a, -0.1 d/10a, -3.97 d/10a and -2.91 d/10a, indicating the trend of delaying pre-winter phenology and advancing post-winter phenology. (4) The delay of pre-winter phenology and the advance of post-winter phenology of winter wheat were significantly related to the increase in growing season temperature. The results of the study should provide a basis for further understanding of the effects of climate change on winter wheat phenology and to provide a reference for remote sensing monitoring of winter wheat phenology. In the lining of water conveyance tunnels, the expansion joint is susceptible to leakage issues, significantly impacting the long-term safety of tunnel operations. Polyurea is a type of protective coating commonly used on concrete surfaces, offering multiple advantages such as resistance to seepage, erosion, and wear. Polyurea coatings are applied by spraying them onto the surfaces of concrete linings in water conveyance tunnels to seal the expansion joint. These coatings endure prolonged exposure to environmental elements such as water flow erosion, internal and external water pressure, and temperature variations. However, the mechanism of polyurea coating's long-term leakage prevention failure in tunnel operations remains unclear. This study is a field investigation to assess the anti-seepage performance of polyurea coating in a water conveyance tunnel project located in Henan Province, China. The testing apparatus can replicate the anti-seepage conditions experienced in water conveyance tunnels. An indoor accelerated aging test plan was formulated to investigate the degradation regular pattern of the cohesive strength between polyurea coating and concrete substrates. This study specifically examines the combined impacts of temperature, water flow, and water pressure on the performance of cohesive strength. The cohesive strength serves as the metric for predicting the service lifetime based on laboratory aging test data. Objective: To investigate the level of screen time and gross motor movement level and the correlation between them in left-behind children aged 3 to 6 years old in China. Methods: A randomized whole-group sampling method was used to study 817 left-behind children aged 3–6 years in 15 kindergartens in Xiangcheng city, Henan province. The third version of the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-3) was used to test the children's gross motor movement level, and the screen time questionnaire was used to test the children's screen time level. The relationship between the two and the indicators was explored using Pearson's two-sided correlation and multilevel regression. Results: The average daily screen time of left-behind children aged 3–6 years old increased with age, and the reporting rate of >2 h/d ranged from 22.43% to 33.73%; gross motor movement of left-behind children aged 3–6 years old increased with age, with significant differences between age (p<0.05). There was a low to moderate negative correlation (r = -0.133 to -0.354, p<0.05) between screen time and gross motor movement in children aged 3–6 years, and multiple regression analysis showed that screen time was predictive of gross motor movement in children (p<0.05), with an explanation rate of 21.4%. Conclusion: There is a correlation between screen time and gross motor movement development in children aged 3–6 years old left behind, and the gross motor movement ability of children aged 3–6 years old can be developed by reducing screen time and increasing physical activity. In geotechnical engineering, a bedding slope often leads to geological disasters, particularly in the case of bedding-locked rock slopes. This study focuses on a typical bedding-locked rock slope in western Henan Province, China. The deformation and fault characteristics were examined through the development of laboratory analogue experiments which allowed for the analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of the rock slope when subjected to a load. The deformation and faulting mechanisms of the slope were studied through the application of different strength loads to the slope model, as well as through the combination of its physical properties. The deformation and fault process were then simulated through the application of numerical modeling. The results reveal that the upper part of the slope features a linear slip surface, while the lower part features a circular arc slip surface, resulting in "linear + circular arc" damage geometry and a relatively flat shear surface. Maximum and minimum lateral displacement occur around the top and the foot of the slope, respectively, leaving the intermediate values at the middle. The shear strength is greater at the locking section, with the highest value found at the foot of the slope, followed by the middle and the top. The evolution of slope deformation can be divided into three stages: the loose deformation stage at the slope top and back; the stage of crack development, extension, and interlayer misalignment; and the stage of complete through crack formation and complete instability damage of the slope. Thus, the process of the deformation and damage of a rocky slope under loading conditions can be described as follows: load-induced loosening and deformation at the top and back of the slope, crack development, expansion, and interlayer misalignment, as well as tension crack expansion at the foot of the slope. The latter can expand and intensify interlayer misalignment, leading to the destruction of the locking section and ultimately causing the destabilization of the entire slope. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the demands of nurses on the workplace environment related to psychological resilience. Methods: A qualitative descriptive design was employed for this study. Purposeful sampling was chosen from a tertiary hospital in Henan Province, China. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 nurses. The interview data was analyzed using the Colaizzi's method and results were reported following the COREQ standards. Results: Analysis of the interview data revealed three main themes: (1) Career Support and Development, (2) Practical Support & Development, and (3) Personal Support and Development. Conclusion: The perspectives of nurses for a workplace environment demands needs to be appreciated, and in addition, it is worth noting that the key role of building a good workplace environment in strengthening the resilience of nurses emphasizes the need for careful consideration. Nursing administrators should formulate policies and measures from multiple perspectives based on the real needs of nurses in terms of professional, practical, and personal dimensions. The genus Erythrobasidium is kind of species-scarce and undersampling basidiomycetes. Currently, only six species have been accepted into the genus and the diversity still remains incompletely understood. In this study, five Erythrobasidium strains were isolated in the surface of plant leaves collected from the Baotianman Nature Reserve, Henan Province, central China. Phylogenetic analyses of the small ribosomal subunit (SSU) rRNA gene, the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, the D1/D2 domain of the large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene, and the translation elongation factor 1-a (TEF1-a) gene coupled with morphological studies were employed to characterize and identify these isolates. As a result of these, two new species, namely E. turpiniae sp. nov. and E. nanyangense sp. nov., were delimited and proposed based on morphological and molecular evidence. A detailed description and illustration of both new species, as well as their differences with the close relatives in the genus are provided. The Northeast region of China and Huang Huai Hai (3H) region are vital maize production bases in northern China that are crucial for national food security. The absence of phenological data hinders a detailed assessment of the alignment between maize development stages and climatic resources. This study combines the authors' maize phenology data with climate suitability modeling to evaluate maize's climate suitability at different developmental stages in both regions. This study shows that during the maize growth cycle, the average temperature, precipitation, sunshine, and comprehensive climate suitability were 0.77, 0.49, 0.87, and 0.65, respectively, in the Northeast. In contrast, the average temperature, precipitation, sunshine, and comprehensive climate suitability in the 3H region were 0.98, 0.53, 0.73, and 0.70, respectively. Precipitation is a major factor influencing maize growth, with temperature and sunshine impacting growth differently across regions. Temperature significantly affects maize in the Northeast, while sunshine plays a greater role in the 3H region. The Northeast is suitable for drought-resistant maize varieties, and implementing a late harvest policy in Liaoning could enhance maize yield. The 3H region generally has favorable climatic conditions. Apart from certain parts of Henan needing drought-resistant varieties, areas with ample growing seasons can adopt long-duration varieties to maximize thermal resource utilization. Our results have important implications for optimizing maize planting strategies and enhancing regional resilience, aiming to assess meteorological factors' impact on maize growth in key production areas. The vast rural drinking water sources along the Yellow River basin in Henan Province mainly come from the local high-salinity groundwater, which cannot be directly drunk. Zeolitic imidazolate framework-71/polyvinylidene fluoride hollow fiber composite membrane was applied to treat rural groundwater through membrane distillation technology. The variations of water quality parameters from 12 different rural regions after membrane distillation treatment were well analyzed and compared. Membrane separation performance for water samples from different regions during the membrane distillation process was investigated, including water flux and salt rejection. During a continuous 24-h membrane distillation process for the treatment of these water samples, hollow fiber membrane exhibits high solute retention rates (>99%) for salt ions, suspended solids and total dissolved solids, which are within the limits of national standards (GB 5749-2006), meanwhile membrane permeation water flux can remain stable. After the acid-cleaning for 180 min, all hollow fiber membranes can recover water flux well with a flux recovery rate above 98%. Even if the concentration ratio continued to increase, the water production rate of membrane distillation was basically maintained between 50% and 60%, which was obviously higher than the 30% of the reverse osmosis process. The economic analysis confirmed that the water production cost varied between US$0.45 and US$0.29/m3. With the extension of membrane service life, the specific membrane cost decreased rapidly in the first 6 years and then leveled off. Certain edge failures in cyber–physical power systems (CPPSs) can cause cascading failures in the power system. Protecting these critical edges and essential equipment in the supporting communication network can avoid these failures. Here, based on complex network controllability regarding kinetic equations and considering the actual operating conditions of CPPSs, we filter out a class of transmission lines and a class of nodes in the power system communication network of the power system that show a significant impact on network controllability. We further validate the results of the filtering by examining the resulting network robustness. Through simulations, we observe that the power edges and communication nodes screened based on network controllability have the most significant impacts on system controllability. It is therefore crucial to protect these edges and nodes to achieve more stable power grid operation and prevent cascading failures. Finally, we validate our results using a case study on a city in Henan Province, China. Our simulations demonstrate that the addition of a communication system can enhance the controllability of the power system. • Different key components in both power grid and communication network are considered separately. • The impact of different coupling methods on the controllability of the system are evaluated. • The conclusions of this paper are validated in a real power grid. The emergence and utilization of gold beads in China were influenced by foreign civilizations and cultures, while the exploration of composite beads in China has been relatively limited compared to single-material beads. Metal foil glass beads represent a distinct type of composite beadwork popular in ancient times. This paper presents findings from a study conducted on a group of beads that were unearthed in Nanyang City, Henan Province. Theoretical calculations and CT imaging suggested that a particular class of gold beads, previously misidentified as single-material beads, actually consisted of gold foil wrapped around an inner layer of glass beads. Elemental analysis techniques such as pXRF, SEM and μ-EDXRF were used to reveal that the purity of the gold foil of the two differently shaped beads is around 95% and 98.5%, while the silver foil of the silver beads is also around 85% due to corrosion. Microscopic observation confirmed that the gold leaf was applied through foil-fusion gilding. Lead isotope analysis indicated that the gold beads originated from different sources, whereas the silver beads likely originated from the Central Plains region. Furthermore, the evidence of beadwork from Southeast Asia and South China supports the view that the gold beads may have been originally exotic but gradually adaptated through indigenous learning, allowing the creation of high-quality imitations. Background: The choice of old-age care methods or places plays an important role in improving the quality of life and well-being of older adults. This study aimed to analyze the choices of various old-age care modes (OCMs) among middle-aged and older adults (MOA) aged 40 years and older in Henan Province, China, and to explore the influence of personal health status, perspectives on old-age (POA) and external support received on their choices. Methods: This study analyzed the data from the previous survey which included 911 MOA. The mean comparison method was used to analyze the evaluation of MOA prior to selecting OCMs, and the effect of individual characteristics, external support received, and personal health status on the choice of OCM for MOA was assessed by Logistic regression (LR) and Concentration Index. The Mediation Effect Model was used to explore effect manner and scope of MOA' POA in their choice of OCM. Results: The overall scores for MOA on the choice of the home-based, community-family, retirement village, nursing homes OCM were 4.06 ± 0.81, 3.70 ± 0.88, 3.72 ± 0.90, 3.49 ± 0.97, respectively. The LR model indicated that education level, number of children, relationship between family members and the relationship with neighbors affected the choice of OCM for MOA (P < 0.05). Difference in OCM selection was relatively the largest based on the individual's POA (Concentration index = -0.0895 ~ -0.0606), and it was shown to play a mediating role in other factors influencing the choice of OCM for MOA (Mediation effect = -0.002 ~ 0.013). Conclusions: The evaluation of MOA on choosing a non-home OCM was generally, and the number of children and external support received were shown to have a relatively substantial impact on the choice of OCM among MOA, however, their power was affected by MOA' POA. Policy makers could encourage the MOA' selection of non-home OCM by improving the relationship among MOA persons while positively transforming their POA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The genus Dioszegia is comprised of anamorphic basidiomycetous yeasts and is classified in the family Bulleribasidiaceae of the order Tremellales. Currently, 24 species have been described and accepted as members of the genus, although its diversity and global distribution have not been thoroughly investigated. In this study, yeasts were isolated from plant leaves collected in the Guizhou and Henan Provinces of China and identified through a combination of morphological and molecular methods. Phylogenetic analyses of the combined ITS and LSU sequences coupled with morphological studies revealed three novel species, D. guizhouensis sp. nov., D. foliicola sp. nov., and D. aurantia sp. nov., proposed here. Additionally, our phylogenetic analyses suggest that the recently discovered species D. terrae is a synonym of D. maotaiensis. This study presents detailed descriptions and illustrations of three new Dioszegia species and highlights distinctions between them and their close relatives. During our ongoing survey of basidiomycetous yeasts associated with plant leaves in virgin forest, five Colacogloea strains were isolated in the Baotianman Nature Reserve, Henan Province, central China. Phenotypes from cultures and a phylogeny based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and the D1/D2 domains of the large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene were employed to characterize and identify these isolates. As a result, two new species, namely Colacogloea celtidis sp. nov. and C. pararetinophila sp. nov., are introduced herein. In the phylogeny of combined ITS and LSU dataset, the new species C. celtidis sp. nov. formed a clade with the unpublished Colacogloea strain (KBP: Y-6832), and together these formed the sister group to C. armeniacae, while C. pararetinophila sp. nov. was retrieved as a sister to C. retinophila. A detailed description and illustration of both new species, as well as the differences between them and their closest relatives in the genus are provided. The abnormity of climate change poses environmental concerns and indirectly promotes the development of low-carbon economic growth pattern. Climate change mitigation technology innovations contribute significantly to achieve environmental goals in China, and thus, technological cooperation has become a strategic choice for the Chinese provinces to achieve technological breakthroughs. Based on 3, 280, 808 patents, this study uses social network analysis (SNA) method and similarity measurement to discuss the evolution process and structural features of the spatial correlation network to analyze the patent data from 1985 to 2020. The process for the research is as follows. First, a form solution of the correlation problem to calculate the minimum Euclidean distance is available in the field of social network. Second, the European distance is used to measure the similarity between provinces, and then, SNA is used to construct the spatial correlation network. Finally, the similarity of growth trend of provincial patent applications in different years from a nonlinear perspective is described, so as to calculate the potential provincial linkage strength. The results demonstrate that low-carbon technology innovation in China takes the form of a network structure. The network exhibits significant characteristics of regional agglomeration, and several central provinces exert the role of mediation and transmission, such as Tianjin, Hubei, and Henan. The study contributes by illustrating the current situation of green technology innovation and provides a critical theoretical foundation for the government when formulating future low-carbon economy development policies.
