This research letter explores the potential therapeutic benefits of safflower oil-based linoleic acid (LA) supplementation on Barth syndrome cardiomyopathy. Barth syndrome is a lipid disorder caused by mutations in the TAFAZZIN gene, and cardiomyopathy is a significant clinical feature of the syndrome. The study investigates the effects of a high-LA safflower oil diet on mouse models of Barth syndrome and finds that LA supplementation can prevent and partially reverse cardiomyopathy in these models. The findings suggest that LA supplementation could be a potential treatment for Barth syndrome cardiomyopathy, although more research is needed to understand its long-term effects and mechanisms of action. This paper studies a micro-electro-mechanical system using He-Liu [34] formulation for finding its frequency-amplitude relationship.
