The study examines the change in pattern of impact factor and SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR) of the journal under study from 2008 to 2021 besides examining the pattern of growth of the number of papers. The study identified the most prolific actors (authors, institutions, and countries), besides examining their citation impact in terms of citation per paper & relative citation impact. The pattern of citation and highly cited papers have also been identified. Based on the analysis of data it is observed that the number of articles published was highest and almost equal in the years 2013, 2016, and 2017. Using the methodology of the complete count of records, it is observed that 56 countries contributed 2,939 articles. China followed by the USA published the highest number of papers. The value of CPP was highest for Universidad de Granada (Spain) and Leiden University (the Netherlands). Among the authors, Nees Jan van Eck and Ludo Waltman of the Leiden University had the highest CPP. Only a minuscule number of published articles remained uncited. Article authored by Aria, M. and Cuccurullo, C. published in issue 11(4), 2017, 959-975 of the journal received the highest number of citations. The paper analysed 699 papers published in Library & Information Science Research (LISR) during the period of 1994-2020. Google Scholar was used to obtain the number of citations received by these papers until April 30, 2021. The study examined the geographical distribution of published articles and also identified prolific institutions and authors. The study examined the impact of output of countries, institutions and authors using citation per paper (CPP) and i-10 index as indicators of impact. The study also examined the pattern of growth and identified the highly cited papers. Based on the analysis of data it is observed that maximum articles were published during the three years block of 2015-2017. The geographical distribution of output indicates that 51 countries contributed the 699 papers. Highest number of papers was contributed by authors from the USA though it had a low value of CPP in comparison to Norway and Finland. Among the institutions, Florida State University (USA) topped the list. However, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA had the highest value of CPP. The study analyses papers published in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) using bibliometric techniques for the period of 1992-2019 (28 years) and citations received by these papers until 20th March 2020 as reflected by Google Scholar. The study examined the pattern of growth, geographical distribution of the articles; identified the prolific authors & institutions, and their output; and the pattern of citations of the papers and identified most cited authors. The findings indicate that the highest number of articles was published during 2012-2015 followed by 2016-2019. The distribution of output by countries indicates that 39 countries contributed 1,698 articles, including India. Indian authors published the highest percentage (86.1%) of articles followed by USA and had the highest value of CPP and RCI. Authors affiliated to different institutions of Delhi contributed the most (30.7%) followed by Karnataka (13.1%) and Maharashtra (10.5%). Among the institutions, DRDO-DESIDOC and CSIR-NISTADS topped the list. Among the 26 most prolific authors, B.M. Gupta (CSIR-NISTADS) published the maximum number of articles. However, B.R. Babu (University of Madras, Chennai) had the highest value of CPP and RCI. The aim of this work is to analyse research productivity of life sciences faculty members at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Maharashtra, India. The research is conducted with the intention to know the research productivity over 15 years (1999-2013), the citations received, collaborations, and authorship patterns. Web of Science (WoS) database was used for the bibliographic and citation data. Data were analysed by using bibliometric techniques and software such as HistCite, Intcoll, and Pajek. Results show that the research productivity of faculty members is increasing, their publications are getting good citations and thereby their journals have better Impact Factor. The faculty members have collaborated with prominent international researchers and have extended interdisciplinary research. The paper examines the world output in artificial intelligence research, a total of 1,52,655 publications, as seen from Scopus database, covering the period during 2007-16. The top 10 countries of the world in artificial intelligence research accounted for 74.32 per cent global publication share. Individually their global share varied from 3.68 per cent to 19.46 per cent, with China accounting for 19.46 per cent global share, followed by the USA (17.96%), India (6.37%), and the U.K. (6.33%), etc. The paper also examines publications output by India in artificial intelligence research. India cumulated a total of 9730 publications in 10 years during 2007-16, registered an annual average growth rate of 27.45 per cent, averaged citation impact to 2.76 citations per paper, and contributed 10.34 per cent share of its total country output as international collaborative publications during 2007-16. Computer science accounted for the largest publication share (86.99%), followed by engineering (30.69%), mathematics (15.95%), biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology (4.66%), and several other disciplines. The top 10 organizations and 10 authors together accounted for 19.31 per cent and 2.71 per cent national publications share respectively and 29.78 per cent share and 6.85 per cent national citation share respectively during 2007-16. In-text citations have been put forward as a new way to overcome the bias inherent in bibliographic citation analysis. In-text citation patterns have been used as the basis for citation analysis previously, but all the evidence has come from international journals. However, many countries have more local journals than international journals. This paper uses in-text citation analysis to examine local journals in Indonesia. The paper aims to determine the location-based citation pattern in the text and its effect on the articles' and authors' rankings. We collected articles from seven food science journals and then parsed these articles to detect the citations and their locations within the text. Pre-processing included normalizing section names, developing a database, and matching citation identities. The rankings were based on sections and then evaluated using the Spearman rank correlation in the final step. The results revealed that Indonesian journals did not exhibit the same patterns as international journals. There were differences in the section locations of the highest percentages of citations, the distributions of publication years, and the ranking methods. The correlations between sections indicated that the citations in the results and discussion section should be give the highest weight, followed by those in the method section, while the lowest weight should be assigned to citations in the introduction. These results need to be strengthened with further research using more extensive data and fields. Library and information science education (LIS) has been spreading out all over India. Every state, one or more institutes/universities, offers LIS education. The research papers contributed by both academics and working professionally in the libraries. This paper examines the current trends of LIS publications in India from 2014 to 2018. The study reviewed 1357 documents from 2014 to 2018 indexed in the Scopus database. The study found that majority of the 342 (25.2%) papers published in the year 2018. Favorite source for publications was DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology. Similarly, LIS Indians professional more likely to published research papers collaboratively. Further noted that most frequently used keywords were scientometric, bibliometrics, India and authorship patterns, etc. The degree of collaboration (DC) for five years was 0.79. The present study examines global publications output on 'Web 2.0 and Libraries' published during the period 2006-15. The data for the study was sourced from Scopus database. The total global research output on 'Web 2.0 and libraries' comprising 482 publications, registered 14.02 % CAGR growth, cumulated 3234 citations with an average of 6.71 citations per paper. The global contributions on 'Web 2.0 and libraries' originated from 77 countries, 179 organizations, and 159 authors. Top 10 countries accounted for 75.10 % global publications share, 90.75 % global citations share during 2006-15. Top 15 organisations contributed 13.69 %, cumulated 15.18 % citations share. Top 21 authors contributed 14.94 % publications share, cumulated 14.81 % citations share of the global output during 2006-15. 'Web 2.0 and libraries' as a subject, interacts highly with other disciplines. Social sciences accounted for the largest share (72.61 %), followed by computer science (52.28 %), and 6 other disciplines. Of the total 482 global publications on the subject, 351 appeared in 94 journals, with top 19 journals accounting for 39.21 % share. With the recent growth of university education and the increasing amount of literature available on the web, there is concern among the academicians and others interested about the research ethics and academic integrity. This paper is an attempt to map the global publication and research trends in the academic integrity and plagiarism issues. The paper uses different bibliometrics, scientometrics and social network tools to map the literature growth pattern, subject areas, document types, source types of scholarly literature. It also analyses subject through keywords analysis and identifies core journals, productive institutes and productive countries. The study is trying to situate India's position and its research trends in the global landscape. It is observed that the India's scholarly literature in these areas are increasing in recent years. Although it is not at par with the global literature growth. The keyword analysis observed that Indian literature is more towards computer and ICT related subjects rather than the global research in the medical subject (human is the second most occurring keyword). Foreign authorship pattern to three leading Indian library and information science (LIS) journals during 2008 to 2017 has been examined to identify the acceptability and popularity of Indian LIS journals among foreign authors. The present study investigates the authorship pattern in terms of different aspects like journals, years, collaborations, prolific authors, countries, research areas, cited papers and citations. It is found that in last 10 year the three LIS journals publish total 186 foreign authored article having total 1267 citation and two-authored papers are predominant. Besides, the authors from Nigeria share maximum articles followed by USA. It is recommended that the Indian LIS authors need to emphasis more on international collaboration to output more foreign authored contributions in national level journals to enrich journals literature. Scientometric analysis of 200 research article published in the journal, "Metamorphosis: A Journal of Management Research" from its debut year 2002 to 2016 is studied. The study focuses on various aspects of the journal such as the distribution of articles, annual growth rate, authorship pattern, authorship productivity, degree of collaboration, collaborative index, country-wise distribution of articles, citation analysis. The study shows that most of the papers, 114 out of 200 (57per cent) were published by single authors whereas 86 out of 200 (43 per cent) were contributed by joint authors. Overall average degree of collaboration, average collaborative index and average citation per paper were 0.43, 2.35, and 25.59, respectively. Remarkable collaborative contributors are from India with 81.65 per cent sharing. The study may help those who wish to map the scientometric patterns of journals or institutions or an individual. The study attempts to analyse research contributions of the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in physics and astronomy during the period 2006-15. The data for this study was extracted from Scopus. The study analyses the year-wise research productivity, national and international collaborations, top collaborating institutions, most prolific authors, journals used for communication, most preferred journals for publication, number of citations received by the University during the period under study. This paper analyses that the university has published 652 papers in physics and astronomy. The University had registered the average citation impact per paper of 7.01 per cent and 6 publications received 51 to 100 citations. Among the Indian universities, University stood at 23rd rank in term of publications output (652) and h-index (29), 16th rank in average citation per paper (7.01 per cent) and 18th rank in share of high cited papers (1 per cent) and 19th rank in terms of international collaborative papers (27.45 per cent) during 2006-15. Around 68.71 per cent publications of the University in physics and astronomy were in national collaboration between GNDU and several other Indian organisations. The paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the 4821 cited documents appended to the 295 articles published in DJLIT during 2011-15. The citation analysis is based on various strictures such as studying distribution of citations, authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, distribution of reference sources, prominent authors and ranked list of core journals. The study revealed that there is dominance of single authorship with 1912 (39.65%) citations followed by two authors with 1152 (23.89%) citations, three authors with 456 (9.45%) citations and more than three authors with 386 (8%) citations. There has been the availability of a good degree of institutional publications as well. Year-wise authorship pattern is also specified so as to see the dominance of particular authorship pattern for the period considered under the study. The degree of authors' collaboration for the present study is 0.51 and modified collaborative coefficient is 0.3661. Dr B.M. Gupta with 52 citations is the most prolific author. Dr K.C. Garg and Dr B.S. Kademani are at the second and third position respectively. The study further exposed the journal to be the mostly cited information source 2560 (53.10%) followed by websites (22.69%) and books (10.81%). Conference papers, reports, theses, workshop papers and seminar papers equally seem to be preferred domain with regard to using pertinent information source. Ranked list of journals denotes Scientometrics to be the most used journal (6.60%) by the authors contributing in DJLIT. The source journal is at the second position in the ranked list with 5.43%. Makes an assessment of 5378 papers published by Indian Institute of Technology Madras and 4430 papers published by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay respectively indexed by the Scopus database in the field of Engineering Sciences and its sub-field during 2006-2015. The study indicates that the number of papers grew during the period of study. The findings indicate that the researchers of both the IITs in the field of engineering sciences published their papers in global journals published from USA, UK and Germany and other countries of the West. Around 19.66% papers published by IITM scientists and 26.54% papers published by IITB scientists in engineering sciences during 2006-2015 remained uncited. The aim of this study is to examine the time lag between the receipt of paper and its subsequent publication in the journal, the structure of the IPR literature, type of documents cited by the papers and identification of core journals in the field of IPR using Bradford's law. The study also identifies the place of origin of the cited journals and the disciplines with which these dealt. The analysis indicates that the average time lag between receipt and its consequent publication is about 4 months. Highest number of papers is published in the sub-discipline of intellectual property rights and its related aspects. Nearly 40 journals constitute the core of the cited journals. This paper examines the bibliometric analysis of 3442 papers published in the journal IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation during the period 2010-2014. The data was taken from the archives of the journal available in printed and online form. The paper presents bibliometric analysis of 10671 citations appearing in 471 papers published in Defence Science Journal (DSJ) during 2009-2014. Efforts have been made to study the productivity and citation patterns of researchers for their published papers based on various parameters. The paper studies the automation process taken place and significant changes occurred. The study reveals almost a constant trend of inflow of papers with increasing trend of multi-authored papers. Highest share of papers are being contributed by authors of Indian origin, majority being from DRDO, and journals being the predominant source of information cited by the researchers for their R&D works. In this paper attempt has been made to identify the uncited publications in 'micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) literature which is one of the emerging field in electronics. The search term 'MEMS' was used for retrieving literatures from SCOPUS database. A total of 294573 records were identified in the field of MEMS during the period 1970-2013. Out of which, 85146 (28.90 %) records were uncited publications. The uncited paper ranges between 0.09 % and 0.72 %. It can be seen that from 1988 onwards uncitedness has been reduced below the global average and it persists till 2010. Almost 56 % of the uncited publications are from the conference proceedings. 44.56% of China publications in MEMS were uncited followed by India (31.44 %), Japan (24.40 %), and France (19.44 %). Majority of the uncited publications, are of collaborative authors besides the self-citations. Mostly more than four authors' papers were uncited. Even top author papers were also uncited. In this paper, an analysis of 806 highly cited articles was carried out based on the data retrieved from SCOPUS multidisciplinary database on 'Coronavirus' research published during 1970-2019 and 2020. The term 'Coronavirus' was used to retrieve data from the fields - title, abstract & keyword. Further, an analysis was carried out for the citation life cycle of the highly cited articles, performance of authors, institutions, country, and journals. During the period a total of 18,116 articles published up to 2019; and 1221 articles published in 2020 till 30 March 2020. The articles with more than 100 citations were taken as highly cited articles in coronavirus research. On this basis, there were 806 articles with more than 100 citations and considered for the data analysis. The highly cited articles were mostly published from the USA. The 'Journal of Virology' was most productive journal publishing most of the highly cited articles. These highly cited articles were published between 1973 to 2016. The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong was the most productive institute, published most number of highly cited articles. Kwok Yung Yuen from the University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was the most productive author, who has published most number of highly cited articles. Internationalisation for a higher education institution is defined as a process of integrating an international, intercultural, or global dimension into the teaching and learning, as well research activities. International co-authorship in research article is one of the means of collaboration towards internationalisation. Henceforth, this paper investigates the impact of international co-authorship of the research articles in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for a specialised young university (<50 years old) in Malaysia. The study focused on approximately 9450 article and the citations ranging from 2012-2017. The impact due to annual article publication, annual citation count, most cited article, annual citation per article and the correlation between the publication and citation were analysed. The finding shows that faculty members of the university have been collaborated with authors from 86 countries since 1997, which dominated by Asian institutions. From the results, annual citation per article (Cpp) showed that collaborations with European countries brought highest impact for the mean Cpp. Meanwhile, the analysis on the cumulative citation trend illustrated that the citation count is proportional to the number of articles, which proves that international co-authorship does impacts STEM specialised young university. The paper presents an analysis of 37049 world papers in mouth cancer, indexed in Scopus database during 2003-12, experiencing an annual average growth rate of 5.15 % and citation impact of 9.72. The 15 most productive countries account for 88.14 % share in world output, with largest share (26.79 %) coming from USA, followed by Japan (9.31 %), UK (7.58 %), Germany (5.82 %), Italy (5.60 %), China (4.98 %), India (4.94 %), etc., during 2003-12. Eight out of 20 countries have achieved relative citation index above 1-France (1.74), Australia (1.58), Netherlands (1.55), Canada (1.43), USA (1.33k), Germany (1.21), UK (1.16), Italy (1.06), and Spain (1.05) during 2003-12. Medicine contributed the largest share (82.72 %) among subjects, followed by biochemistry, genetics & molecular biology (29.33 %), dentistry (14.36 %), pharmacology, toxicology & pharmaceutics (8.36 %), immunology & microbiology (1.90 %), etc during 2003-12. In cancer site, tongue, salivary glands and oropharynx contributed the largest share of 12.04 %, 10.02 % and 8.44 % respectively during 2003-12. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the application of Bradford's Law of Scattering to the Psoriasis literature published during 1960-2009. Psoriasis is a kind of skin disease prevalent all over the world. The therapy of mild-to-moderate Psoriasis has come a long way from the days of tar and anthralin, though the latter treatments are still occasionally used. The paper presents an overview on scholarly contribution presented on Bradford law applied in different studies both theoretical as well as practical aspects of the law and it is being tested here over Psoriasis literature. The data for this study has been taken from PubMed for the period of 50 years (1960-2009) and it yielded 24031 citations. A ranked list of journals has been prepared and it is found that British Journal of Dermatology is most productive journal which has published 8.54 % article on psoriasis. As far as the implication of Bradford law is concern, in theoretical aspect this law does not fit, but the alternatives such as Leimkuhler model holds good for Psoriasis literature. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is one of the oldest institutes of management and generally accepted as one of the leading business schools in India. Established in 1961, IIMA is frequented by the industry, local and global, to recruit its future leaders. An inherently academic institution of excellence, IIMA has unfortunately not been known for traditional research output in the form of papers in journals, as is the case with many international research institutions. It is in this context that the present study aims to review the research performance of IIMA based on the papers published in journals that have been indexed in Web of Science and Scopus for the past twelve years. The authors attempt to identify the trends in research output over the period 1999 to 2010 that includes types of publications, most preferred journals, most prolific authors from IIMA, authorship pattern, and the journals most cited by the researchers from IIMA. This study presented a bibliometric examination of the crowdsourcing publications. The objective of this study is to bibliometrically examine the publications related to crowdsourcing in the Science Citation Index Expanded of the Web of Science. A systematic search has been carried out for publications between 2008 and 2017. The parameters analysed included document type, language, most prolific journal, leading countries/territories, institutions and authors in terms of total publications, independent publications, collaborative publications, first authors, corresponding authors and single authors. Highly cited articles and the future direction of hot topics are also investigated. 81 per cent of the total publications are articles. English remains the dominant language and accounted for nearly 100 per cent of the total output. The USA, China and the UK produced 80 per cent of total production. PLOS One was leading journal in terms of total output and total citation till 2016. It was found that 1459 articles, including 1347 first authors, 1443 corresponding authors and 79 single authors, were published by 6973 authors. The present study undertakes the ranking of the most productive Indian institutions, viz., institutes of national importance, universities/ deemed universities, industrial enterprises, research institutes, Indian Institute(s) of Information Technology (IIIT(s)), select top engineering colleges, and regional engineering colleges (RECs)/National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in computer science research for their research output published during 1999-2008. The publications output of these productive institutions is judged on the basis of various quantitative indicators, such as the total number of raw papers and international collaborative papers and qualitative indicators, such as the average number of citations per paper and h-index value, and also in terms of a new composite indicator, which combines quantitative and qualitative aspects. A scholarly 'index of quality and productivity' (IQp) was proposed as a better alternative to the h-index. This was intended to overcome some of the limitations of the h-index. Other recent studies have shown that an indicator called the performance index (p-index) can also effectively combine size and quality of scientific papers. The curious structure of the p-index led to an energy-like term, X = iC = Pi² = C.(C/P), where, P is the number of papers, and i is a proxy for quality Q = C/P. This paper evaluates the citation count of article publications in journals by faculty members in the Humanities and Social Science (HSS) Departments of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. The publication data is retrieved from the individual bio-sketch and annual reports available in the websites for 17 year from 2000-2016. Web of Science database has been used for counting the citations. Parameters like total publications in journals, most preferred journal for publication, highly cited journals, collaborative status of faculty publications and thereby their citation counts, faculty member receiving highest citation are studied. The finding reveals that 623 articles are found in total 359 journal. There is an increasing trend in the number of publications over the years. The journal named Psychological Studies ranked first with 27 publication of faculties whereas Journal of Business Ethics received highest citations and grabbed the first position amongst the journals. Collaborative researches by three author received maximum citations. The faculty members are engaged in variant fields of research but the impact is higher at national level than that of international level. The present study is citation analysis of Business Research. It covers 18 issues of 9 volumes of Business Research published bi-annually during the period 2008-2016. The analysis covers the study of citation pattern and chronological growth citations. It also covers authorship pattern of the articles and various information sources of cited material. On the basis of citation analysis, a rank list of journals is prepared and core journals in the field of Business research are identified. Similarly, core areas of research are identified. The study reveals that researchers have cited journals (77.33%) more than books, editorial works and all other sources of information. Growth in collaborative trend of writing papers is also noticed as citations contributed by two authors is (37.67%) and single authors is (33.42%) followed by three authors (21.59%). Half-life of journal's citations is found to be fourteen years. Bradford's law doesn't found fit in the study. Academy of Management Journal (157 citations), Strategic Management Journal (141 citations) and The Journal of Finance (136 citations) are the most cited journals. This paper finds out the citation management and the needs of students of Department of Library and Information Science, University of Delhi, and how online citation tools it into their academic and research process. The results indicate that all the respondents are aware of online citation tools and using them occasionally. EasyBib was the popular online citation tool among respondents. The survey results show that most of the respondents learned the online citation tools through department's website. The main purpose of using online citation tools was for their academic/research work. Most of the respondents were accessing online citation tools from the Delhi University Computer Centre. They had not received any formal training for creating online citations. Simplified and easy bibliography and automatic creation of references list are two major benefits of online citation tools. The most obvious impediment is that they have never used the online tools before. Meagre respondents wanted training in using online citation tools for creating efficient references. The findings of the study will not only help the Library and Information Science students about knowing what a citation is and understanding the concepts of citation styles and formatting, but also help citation-related competencies and skills in recognising citations and understanding their functions in research. The task of analysing patent data using automated tools to dig out the desired information through visualisation, citation analysis, and other techniques are gaining importance. Patent information is presented and recorded in a very systematic manner which simplifies the task of searching relevant information for various purposes like technology forecasting. Patent documents help in drawing a baseline, identifying vacuums and then providing leads to fill these vacuums. The present paper is focused on finding patent documents as leads for an R&D problem, utilising various tools pertaining to patent literature including patent searching, text mining, and patent analysis to zero down the key patent documents as leads. A practical R&D problem related to the development of a drug delivery device for releasing the vapours of drug was imposed by scientists for which a systematic search was performed to extract most relevant patent documents using various patent analytical tools towards solving a practical R & D problem. Quantitative measurement in library arena for the impact of researches has travelled a lot from bibliometrics to citation metrics and for article level and author level assessment upto h-index, g-index and tol-index, etc. Altmetrics incorporates multiple data sources-both traditional and emerging. The data collected in altmetrics are not limited to calculating article level metrics, but have the potential to be used to generate journal and author metrics as well with new form of scholarly publication. Thus, altmetrics provides researchers and scholars both the new ways to track influence across a wide range of media and platforms. The paper aims to analyse authorship distribution in physics literature and to examine the validity of Lotka's law of scientific publication productivity. A list of journal articles on various aspects of physics research cited in the doctoral theses of University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, South India was compiled for the study. Using 'straight count' of authorship, a total of 1,665 personal authors were identified and 3,367 authors were identified by using 'complete count'. K-S statistical test and Chi-square test were applied to verify the applicability of Lotka's law in the two approaches. The productivity distribution did not it either set of data for two different author communities when Lotka's law was applied in its original form. The paper presents citation analysis of PhD theses submitted in the discipline of sociology of the University of Delhi during 1995-2010. The study is based on the 5766 citations taken out from 25 PhD theses of sociology. The study presents analysis of several parameters like authorship pattern, forms of literature, country-wise scattering of citations, distribution of Indian and foreign citations and a ranked list of top 30 cited sociology journals. The study finds that highest number of citations was single authored (83.94 %), and 67.23 % citations were from books and only 22.20 % citations were from journals. This paper critically analyses 239 scholarly communications published in the inaugural five volumes of Journal of Informetrics (JOI) to examine growth of literature, types of communications, authorship pattern, collaboration trend, predominant research domains, etc. Subsequent analysis focuses on prolific contributors, degree of collaboration, and time-lag trend. Findings reveal that - publication output doubles over the study period as article publications increase considerably; though single-authored contributions were significant (30 %), majority of contributions were collaborated by two-authors (36 %), while average authorship accounts for 2.28 per communications. Degree of collaboration (DC) was impressive (0.699) but not overwhelming as research collaborations has emanated from 199 higher learning institutions of 32 countries across the globe. Ranking of prolific contributors has shown Prof. Egghe on the top followed by L Bornmann; R Rousseau and L Leydesdoff. Result also shows upward trend of keyword usage with an average of 4.55 per items, of which h-index, citation analysis, bibliometrics, g-index, etc, expectedly predominates. Scholarly nature of source journal has been further ascertained from increasing citations and reference usage trend. Moreover, growing hardness of the field has been attributed to JOI due to the increasing usage of tables and figures.
