This paper analyzes 5046 research publications in physical science that Haryana had published during the last ten years (2005-14). The publications data was sourced from Scopus International database. The findings reveal that Haryana registered 14.28% growth per year and citation impact of 6.0 citations per paper. Haryana's research output in physical science accounted for 19.42% state share and 1.72% country share in S&T during 2005-14. Nearly 13.5% of Haryana's output appeared as International collaborative papers. Chemistry and physics & astronomy accounted for the largest share (37.38% and 33% respectively). The top 20 most productive organizations of Haryana accounted for 83.25% and 86.12% publication and citation share, registered average productivity of 210.5 papers per organization, averaged 6.20 citations per paper, h-index of 13.85, and averaged 10.95% share as international collaborative papers of during 2005-14. The top 20 most productive authors from Haryana-based organizations accounted for 22.39% publications share, 31.75% citations share, registered average productivity of 56.5 papers per author, averaged 8.50 citations per paper, h-index of 11.85%, and 8.67% share as international collaborative papers during 2005-14. Nearly 18% of Haryana's papers in physical science were reported in top 20 journals during 2005-14. Haryana contributed 18 highly cited papers with 100 + citations per paper. Together these 18 papers cumulated 3129 citations, with an average of 173.83 citations per paper during 2005-14. This paper analyzes 8090 research publications in the area of life sciences in Haryana published during the last ten years (2005-14). The publications data was sourced from Scopus International database. The findings reveal that Haryana averaged 12.20% annual growth in life science research, citation impact of 5.64 citations per paper during 2005-14. Haryana published 24.08% of its research output in life science as national collaborative papers and 12.48% as international collaborative papers during 2005-14. Among its various subfields, agricultural & biological sciences dominated life science research accounting for the share (51.61%). The top 20 most productive organizations based out in Haryana accounted for 84.36% share, registered average productivity of 341.25, averaged 6.01 citations per paper, averaged h-index of 12.5 during 2005-14. The top 20 most productive authors with affiliations to Haryana accounted for 13.91% share, registered average productivity of 56.25 papers per author, and averaged 8.88 citations per paper, and averaged h-index of 13.91 during 2005-14. The top 25 journals accounted for 32.44% share of total output (8090) by the state. Thirty 30 highly cited papers received 100 + citations and together cumulated 4890 citations, with an average citation per paper of 163.0 during 2005-14. This paper analyzes 5677 research publications that Haryana had contributed in the area of engineering science during the last ten years (2005-14). The publications data was sourced from Scopus International database. The findings reveal that Haryana achieved significantly faster growth rate in engineering science (22.59% CAGR) but witnessed low level citation impact of 4.40 citations per paper, contributed merely 20 highly cited papers, and accounted for very low share (9.79%) of international collaborative papers in its total output during 2005-14. Engineering field with 52.37% share dominated Haryana's publications output in engineering science whereas the other sub-fields (materials science, computer science, chemical engineering and energy) were distant cousins in engineering science. The top 20 most productive organizations output in Haryana had average productivity of 205.1, averaged 4.91 citations per paper, averaged h-index of 12.5, and averaged 8.68% share of international collaborative publications. This paper attempts to study the research performance of University of Hyderabad in terms of its research output between 1999 and 2008 including the number of papers published annually, its growth rate, publication share, quality, and citation impact of publications. The publication productivity and impact of the university under broad subject areas and departments were also examined and analyzed based on the hindex and p-index. The study also identifies and evaluates the characteristics of prolific authors and their research communication in productive journals. To assess the qualitative and quantitative development of subjects especially science subjects, Scientometrics studies are undertaken. The present paper is an attempt to assess the qualitative and quantitative research performance of two Indian institutes of Technology, namely IIT Bhubaneswar and III Patna. The study assesses 2045 papers published by scientists of Indian Institutes of Technology Bhubaneswar and 1977 papers published by scientists of Indian Institutes of Technology Patna respectively during the period 2009 to 2018, research output is retrieved and indexed in the SCOPUS bibliographic database. The study indicates that low publication output is observed in the initial years but it gradually picks its momentum from the year 2012 onwards. Almost all the most common journals were published in the advanced countries of the World. The study presents the trends in authorship pattern and author's collaborative research in IEEE Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine with a sample of 1599 journal citations collected during the period 2013-2021. The average number of authors per citation is 1.8. In the study, the degree of collaboration (C) during the overall 9 years (2013-2021) is 3.8 and the study found that in IEEE Journal of Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine multi-authored articles are high and predominant on single authorship. The paper examines 360 Indian publications on allergic rhinitis research, as covered in Scopus database during 2007-16, using various quantitative and qualitative parameters with a focus on its growth, citation quality, share of international collaborative papers, subject wise distribution, identification of significant keywords, contribution and impact of leading organizations and authors, contribution of most productive journals and characteristics of high cited papers. The global allergic rhinitis research is dominated by top 16 most productive countries which account for 87.78% share of the global output during 2007-16. The USA is the world leader with 20.62% (largest share) of global output and 35.8% share of global citation output on allergic rhinitis research, followed by Italy, Germany, UK, Japan, China and France during 2007-16. India is ranked at 16th position with its global publication share of only 2.33%. The paper examines 518 Indian publications on gallstones research, as covered in Scopus database during 2006-15, using various quantitative and qualitative parameters with a focus on its growth, citation quality, share of international collaborative papers, subject-wise distribution, identification of significant keywords, contribution and impact of leading organizations and authors, contribution of most productive journals and characteristics of high cited papers. The global gallstones research is dominated by top 10 most productive countries which account for 67.89% share of the global output during 2006-15. The paper examines 637 global publications on mobile banking research, as covered in Scopus database during 2007-16, experiencing an annual average growth rate of 20.38% and qualitative citation impact averaged to 6.17 citations per paper. The top 10 most productive countries individually contributed global share from 3.45% to 14.44%, with largest global publication share coming from India (14.44%), followed by USA (11.30%), China (10.20%), South Korea (6.28%), etc. The international collaborative publications share of top 10 most productive countries varied from 8.0% (Taiwan) to 50% (Finland), in mobile banking research during 2007-16. Among the total journal output of 287 papers, the top 15 most productive journals contributed 37.28% share to the global journal output during 2007-16. The present study examined 1325 global publications on "Green Supply Chain Management" as covered in Scopus database during 2006-15. The study reported 24.66% annual average growth rate of publications and citation impact of 11.784 citations per paper. The global publications on "Green Supply Chain Management" came from 73 countries, of which the top 10 accounted for 84.15% of global publication share during 2006-15. A total of 372 organizations and 160 authors participated in global research on "Green Supply Chain Management" during 2006-15, of which the top 15 most productive organizations contributed 20.38% publications share and accounted for 55.16% citations share. The top 15 most productive authors contributed 14.19% publications share and accounted for 49.39% citation share. The China is world leader in research output on "Green Supply Chain Management", followed by USA etc. Business, management & accounting registered the highest publication share (42.49 %), followed by decision science (21.96%), computer science (21.58%), environment science (16.91%), social sciences (11.47%), economics, econometrics & finance (8.30%) and energy (8.08%) during 2006-15. Of the 1325 publications on "Green Supply Chain Management", 755 appeared in journals, 354 in conference proceedings, 140 in book series, 54 as books and 22 in trade publications during 2006-15. 137 journals contributed to research on "Green Supply Chain Management" during 2006-15, of which the top 20 most productive journals together contributed 38.94% share of global journal output, increasing from 35.19% to 39.97% from 2006-10 to 2011-15. The study analyses the Indian research output consisting of 1014 papers on Hepatitis C during 2005-2014 on different parameters including its publication growth, citation impact, share of international collaborative papers and identification of major international collaborative partners, global rank and share of India amongst the top 20 most productive countries, productivity and citation impact of leading Indian institutes and authors, medium of communication in most productive journals. The Scopus bibliographical citation database has been used to download and retrieve the publication data on Hepatitis C for 10 years (2005-2014). The Indian research output on Hepatitis C witnessed an average annual growth rate of 30.18%, the average citation per paper of 7.71 (33.33%) of international collaborative publications and accounted for 1.86% share of global output during 2005-14. Medicine accounted for the largest publication share (61.0%) on Indian output on Hepatitis C during 2005-14, followed by biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology (16.10%), immunology & microbiology (9.37%), pharmacology, toxicology & pharmaceutics (9.15%), agricultural & biological sciences (2.57%) and chemistry (1.81%). The present paper attempts to study the performance of India in research on Kawasaki disease using a series of bibliometric indicators. As seen from SCOPUS database India's research output cumulated to111 publications in 10 years during 2005-14. India registered faster growth rate of 35.39% CAGR compared to 7.09% by the world in research on Kawasaki disease during 2005-14. India's citation impact was 7.59 citations paper; 72% of country output was cited 1 to 360 times per paper. India's citation share was 24%, international collaborative papers share 12.61%, global publication share 4.09%, and relative citation index of 0.79 during 2005-14. India is ranked 8th most productive country in the world on Kawasaki disease studies. Medicine accounted for the highest publication share (97.3% share). The top most productive 10 Indian organizations accounted for 63.96% publication share and 77.94% citation share of its total Indian output on Kawasaki disease during 2005-14. The paper examines 2361 publications of Kurukshetra University, as covered in Scopus database during 2006-15, using various quantitative and qualitative parameters with a focus on its growth, citation quality, share of national international collaborative papers, subject-wise and department-wise distribution, contribution and impact of its leading scholars, contribution to most productive journals and characteristics of its highly cited publications. The Kurukshetra University output witnesses an annual average growth rate of 13.25% and citation per paper of 4.85 during 2006-15, which decreased from 8.23 during 2006-10 to 3.06 during 2011-15. Its share of national and international collaborative publications in the total output was 38.54% and 9.11% during 2006-15. Only 64.80% of total publications registered 1 or more citations during 2006-15. The study attempts to evaluate the scientific productivity of IIT Guwahati during the period 2006-2015 as indexed by the Scopus database. The published output showed that the research output of IIT Guwahati undeviatingly increased over the past ten years. The findings indicate that the scientists of IIT Guwahati prefer to collaborate with Global countries and institutions to publish their papers. The paper examines 12024 global publications on mobile learning research, as covered in Scopus database during 2007-16. The global mobile research witnessed 11.76%annual growth and citation impact of 4.08 citations per paper. The global publication and global citation share of top 10 most productive countries in mobile learning research were64.76% and 82.16% respectively. The top 10 most productive countries individually contributed global share from 3.12% to 16.45% with largest global publication share coming from USA (16.45%). The paper analysis 100 Indian high productivity organizations involved in mathematics research, using publications data indexed in Scopus database from 2005-14. It identified the overall strength and weakness of these 100 organizations, in terms of selective qualitative and quantitative indicators. The study concludes that institutes of national importance model of funding for research have shown comparatively better performance both in terms of qualitative and quantitative parameters. The global publications on "Hernia" came from more than 100 countries, of which the top 10 accounted for 67.57% share of the global publication output. 214 organizations and 329 authors participated in Indian research on "Hernia" during 2006-15, of which the top 20 organizations and 20 authors contributed 38.97% and 19.45% publications share and 3.57% and 55.43%citation share respectively of the Indian output and citations. The paper discusses a comparative study of h and g indices of prominent scientists from India in five selected subject fields viz. Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Engineering and Medicine. The present paper investigates the authorship pattern and degree of collaboration in Library and Information science literature. The data is collected from 24 Ph.D. theses submitted to the S.V.University during the period from 2000 to 2012 for the present study. The results indicate that the predominance of single authorship over multiple authorship is seen in the study. This study attempts to evaluate the publications of Prof. P. R. Sudhakaran in relation to the knowledge domain of biochemistry and his role for the advancement of biochemistry in India in a span of more than three and half decades (1974-2012). During this period he has published 118 research articles in national and international journals, nine project reports, 25 conference/ seminar papers, 16 conference reports, one edited volume, three book chapters, 20 invited presentations at conferences and 12 contributed chapters/reviews and proceedings. The present study is based on 9,162 citations, appended in the 77 doctoral theses of Sociology submitted to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and Osmania University, Hyderabad for the award of doctoral degree during the period 1974- 2005. It has been carried-out from 1974 to observe the distribution of authorship pattern, bibliographic form, core journals, country, language, subject wise distribution of journal citations and core periodicals. The single authored papers were highest contribution in book citations 76.77% of total citations, and multi authored papers were highest contribution 55.57% of the total journal citations. The study has been conducted with 302 original contributions with a total of 8347 citations contributed by 549 authors published in volumes 74 (393) to 83 (332) of the renowned Journal, Economica, New Series during 2007-2016. An analysis of the different forms of literature, authorship pattern, language-wise cited articles, country-wise distribution, subject-wise distribution, ranking of cited journals, and obsolescence study has been made. Among the citations, articles accounted for 63.83% and books 26.49%. The highest number of articles totaling 5319(99.83%) has emanated from the English language. This paper presents a bibliometric study of the DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology (DJLIT) for the period of 12 years (2005-2016) in which 553 articles were published. The present study examines the various bibliometric parameters such as authorship pattern of articles & references, geographical distribution, major contributions from prolific author, state wise contribution of articles and number of references. The study reveals that India contributed highest publications with 88.95%.The Authorship Pattern of Articles for the study period was contributed maximum by two authors with 41.41%, followed by Single author with 36.88%and three authors with 15.18%. In recent few years, there have been exponential growths of scholarly literatures in almost all areas of subjects. At par, the physical concept of scholarly publishing is also changing its venues from traditional ways of hardcopy and prints to online platforms like blogs, institutional repositories, social networks and forums with the advent of new tools and technologies. So, it's forcing the research community to have some improved and alternate ways to evaluate the impact of those increasing research which are not only confined to and has limited base to the academic citations. Altmetrics, being in its infancy stage has gained lots of interests within the research community in a very short-span of time and has challenged the traditional metrics i.e. citation counts and impact factors. This study is based on the Citation Analysis of the Doctoral theses related to Citation Analysis uploaded by the Department of Library and Information Science from Maharashtra Region during 2012-2019 on Shodhganga. Total 1797 citations were collected from 11 doctoral theses for this study. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the authorship pattern of the citations, type, and form of literature cited and compiled a rank list of core journals in Citation Analysis. The study exposed that among 11 Ph.D., 6 Ph.D. (55%) Output by the Male Researchers while 5 Ph.D. (45%) by the Female Researchers. As well as in Supervisor Gender we have found that 7 Ph.D. (64%) output by the female Supervisors while 4 Ph.Ds. (36%) by the Male Supervisors. Single-authored journals have received the highest number 1188(65%) of total citations followed by two authors 504 (28), three authors 99 (5), four or more authors 40(2%). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper addresses to research performance monitoring the researchers of Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar using citation analysis. The study covers 7284 citations and evaluates different aspects of citation study. The most of the cited sources were journals, and cited books preferred to single authorship 77.73% followed by two authors 18.67%. Study reveals that most of the contributions of journals were from USA, and the most cited journals are IASLIC Bulletin 11.89%, followed by ILA Bulletin 9.35% occupies the second rank, University News 6.37% and Herald of Library Science 5.99% at 3rd and 4th rank respectively. This paper provides a critical analysis of 260 research articles published in International Journal of Information Dissemination and Technology (IJIDT) during the last five years (2011-2015). The data of publications were sourced from online database. The data provide different parameters including year wise distribution, subject wise distribution, issue wise distribution, average citations per article and length of the article. The findings reveal that all the research papers (260) were published in IJIDT journal during the period of study; it is also observed that maximum number of articles were published in the year 2015. The research articles appended to IJIDT journal have been scattered among 23 subjects. The highest numbers of publications fall under the broad field 'User Survey' followed by 'Bibliometrics' and 'Management' in the second and third positions, the average citation per paper is 12.33, averaged h-index of 12.5 and the averaged share of international collaborative publications is 8.68%. Single authored papers were found maximum in number. The findings reveal that in the field of Library and Information Science as whole collaborative papers are identified more in number. The increasing trend in the multiauthored papers indicates growing inter-disciplinary nature of the discipline "Library and Information Science". Among multiple author's papers, it is observed that papers by two authors are more in number as compared to those by more than two authors. These findings reiterate the findings of the earlier studies on authorship pattern in LIS literature. The highest length of the article is 12 pages and the lowest length is 2 pages only and also observed the maximum citations covered in paper is 81 and minimum is 3 citations during the study period. The present study aims to explore the bibliometric characteristics of the 'European Journal of Phycology' (EJP) and presents citation analysis of 201 articles published in five volumes of the journal during 2009-2013. All papers have been examined carefully to explore the year wise distribution of articles, authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, average number of references per article, form of documents referred to, age of references, citations to the articles included in EJP, subject-wise distribution of articles, etc. Findings revealed that on an average each article refers to 50 information resources. Journals are the primary source of references used for writing research papers/ articles. The study revealed a high degree of authorship collaboration among Phycologists. The present research seeks to have an in depth study (citation analysis) of papers published by the academicians and researchers in Defence Science Journal (DSJ) during 2006-2013. Defence Science Journal (DSJ) has been selected as the source journal. 47 issues pertaining to eight volumes from 2006-2013 have been consulted and selected for the study. Information about each contribution such as author, author's affiliation (lab), citations were noted down manually. The recorded data was analyzed, interpreted and tabulated. The study uses 631 articles which have been published in this journal during 8 years. Highest number of articles (94) were published in the year 2007. In authorship pattern more than two authors citations are dominant than others and it makes a share of 47.8%. Maximum papers, i.e. 40 (6.3%) are reported to contribute from High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), Pune. Himanshu Shekhar from High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Pune contributed the highest number of papers, i.e. 11. Furthermore, the study also indicates that highest number of papers in DSJ, i.e. 110 (sharing 17.4% of the total) are related to Electronics and Instrumentation. Majority of the foreign articles are contributed from China followed by Czech Republic. This paper provides suggestions derived from the analysis of data which would definitely be helpful in knowing the relevance of popular/ highly cited journals discipline wise, productivity of authors in various DRDO Labs and other organisations and how to popularize DSJ in different parts of the world. The present paper investigates the citations of Sociology theses submitted to Punjabi University, Patiala for the period 2000-2014. The study was carried out to find the number of theses, authorship pattern, chronological distribution, format of citations etc. It was found that sociology researchers had used 1938 citations for writing 24 theses. In addition to this a ranked list of journals was also prepared in order to identify core journals as well as to test the applicability of Bradford Law of Scattering. Economic and Political Weekly was the most cited journal with 47 citations. The journal distribution pattern confirmed to Bradford distribution when employed with Leimkuhler model. Ten journals out of 13 core journals were available at Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha Library, Punjabi University,Patiala. Core journals were mainly from three countries i. e. India, USA and UK. The paper brings out the results of a bibliometric analysis of the journal titled "Indian Journal of Agricultural Research" for the period from 2001 to 2010. The data were downloaded from the journal's website. This study aims at analysing the research output performance of agricultural scientists on agricultural science subjects. The analysis cover mainly the number of articles, authorship pattern, subject wise distribution of articles, average number of references per articles, forms of documents cited, year wise distribution of cited journals etc. All the studies point towards the merits and weakness of the journal which will be helpful for its further development. The result showed that out of 602 articles joint authors contributed 564 (93.69%) articles while the rest 38 (6.31%) articles were contributed by single author. The present study is a "Bibliometric Analysis" of the journal titled Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science from 2007-2011. The analysis covers mainly the number of articles, authorship pattern, geographical distribution of authors, pattern of references etc. The results show that out of 100 articles, single authors contributed 27 (27%) articles while the rest 73 (73%) articles are contributed by joint authors. It has been revealed that most of the contributors are from Malaysia. The study shows that about 62.54% of citations are from periodicals. The most cited periodicals have also been listed.
