The number of scientific papers has been increasing ever more rapidly. Researchers have to spend a lot of time classifying papers relevant to their study, especially into fine-grained subfields. However, almost all existing paper classification models are coarse-grained, which can not meet the needs of researchers. Observing this, we propose a lightweight fine-grained classification model for scientific paper. Dynamic weighting coefficients on feature words are incorporated into the model to improve the classification accuracy. The feature word weight is optimized by the Mean Decrease Accuracy (MDA) algorithm. Considering applicability, the lightweight processing is conducted through algorithm pruning and training sample pruning. Sentiment analysis and opinion mining is an area that has experienced considerable growth over the last decade. This area of research attempts to determine the feelings, opinions, emotions, among other things, of people on something or someone. To do this, natural language techniques and machine learning algorithms are used. This article discusses the problem of extracting sentiment and opinions from a collection of reviews on scientific articles conducted under an international conference on computing in northern Chile. The first aim of this analysis is to automatically determine the orientation of a review and contrast this with the assessment made by the reviewer of the article. This would allow scientists to characterize and compare reviews crosswise and more objectively support the overall assessment of a scientific article. A hybrid approach that combines an unsupervised machine learning algorithm with techniques from natural language processing is proposed to analyze reviews. This method uses part-of-speech (POS) tagging to obtain the syntactic structure of a sentence. This syntactic structure, along with the use of dictionaries, allows determining the semantic orientation of the review through a scoring algorithm. A set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the capability and performance of the proposed approaches relative to a baseline, using standard metrics, such as accuracy, precision, recall, and the F 1 -score. The results show improvements in the case of binary, ternary and a 5-point scale classification in relation to classical machine learning algorithms such as SVM and NB, but they also present a challenge to improve the multiclass classification in this domain. Peer review is under pressure. Without fair, transparent and efficient peer review we cannot ensure the right proposals get funded and the correct manuscripts get published. In the era of Open Access, which is driving an exponential increase in the number of submitted publications, how we carry out peer review is becoming increasingly important and how we find reviewers is coming under scrutiny. The current methods are slow and produce bias pools of reviewers. As such we need an improved way. At Prophy we have developed a state-of-the-art referee finder that can find experts to review any manuscript from any scientific field in seconds. Then through post-processing filters we can find appropriate candidate referees who are most likely to review a paper, whilst highlighting important conflicts of interest through our complex citation networks. These methods can ensure fair and independent experts who can review interdisciplinary papers from any discipline. These methods are being delivered through APIs and the editorial workflow of editors ensure the right people get access to these tools. The qualitative analysis results of teachers' abilities are difficult to quantify, and ability problems in the teaching process are difficult to be effectively measured. In order to study methods to improve teachers' teaching abilities, this paper builds a corresponding teacher competence evaluation model based on machine learning and digital twin technology, establishes a data collection model for teachers' professional competence, and establishes a data fusion model. It includes data cleaning model based on XML information template, data integration model, multi-index screening mechanism and clustering strategy based on perturbation attributes. On this basis, this paper uses decision tree algorithm, random forest algorithm and neural network algorithm to construct three scheduling rule mining models aiming at teachers' professional ability. In addition, this paper establishes a digital twin-driven multi-knowledge model scheduling optimization architecture that uses the three scheduling rules mined. Data driven deep learning methods have become the mainstream method of building extraction from remote sensing images. In this paper, deep learning algorithm is used to classify and extract buildings from remote sensing images of rural areas around the Great Wall in the suburbs of Beijing captured by unmanned aerial vehicles. Aiming at the shortcomings of the current mainstream instance segmentation algorithm Mask R-CNN in feature fusion and poor prediction of instance mask boundaries, this paper proposes a boundary optimization algorithm for building instance segmentation based on discrete wavelet transform. Firstly, the discrete wavelet transform is introduced into the segmentation task branch of Mask R-CNN algorithm to extract the low-frequency and high-frequency information of the real mask, in which the high-frequency information includes the boundary information. Secondly, the pixel by pixel prediction of the mask turns into the learning of the low-frequency and high-frequency information of the real mask. The learning of the high-frequency information helps the segmentation network to learn the boundary features better. Finally, using the reversibility of discrete wavelet transform, the low-frequency and high-frequency information of the learned mask is inversely transformed to reconstruct the final mask. The improved algorithm is evaluated on the dataset COCO, and applied to the automatic extraction of buildings. The DWT Mask R-CNN algorithm model achieved 70.2% segmentation accuracy and 71.4% detection accuracy, which were improved by 1% and 0.7% respectively compared with the Mask R-CNN and Cascade Mask R-CNN models. The experimental results show that the instance segmentation edge optimization algorithm combined with wavelet transform has achieved better results on the segmentation boundary, improved the poor effect of mask edge detection and achieved higher detection accuracy, and can accurately extract village buildings. Considering the power transformers fault diagnosis model has unstable performance and prone to over-fitting, we propose a transformers fault diagnosis model based on a meta-learning approach to kernel extreme learning machine with opposition-based learning sparrow search algorithm optimization (Meta-OSSA-KELM) in this paper. Its learning proceeds in two steps. Firstly, the base-learner KELMs is trained on the disjoint training subset. Then, meta-learner KELM is trained with the hidden codes of training set in base-learner KELMs that have been trained. In this paper, chaotic mapping and opposition-based learning are integrated into Sparrow search algorithm(SSA) and used it to optimize each learner. We simulate this model with measured dissolved gas analysis(DGA) data, the results show that compared with PSO and SSA, opposition-based learning sparrow search algorithm(OSSA) has better global search-ability on the optimization for the proposed model. In addition, compared with Adaboost.M1, BPNN, SVM and KELM, Meta-OSSA-KELM has a higher average accuracy (90.9% vs 78.5%, 74.0%, 76.9%, 76.9%) and a lower standard deviation (1.56x10-2 vs 4.21x10-2, 10.5x10-2, 3.7x10-2, 2.18x10-2) in simulation tests for 30 times. In this paper, 1,538 papers retrieved with the keywords "sports artificial intelligence (AI)" on the Web of Science database since 2007 were taken as the data source, and the Cite Space V software was used to visualize and analyze them. A visual knowledge graph was used to streamline the countries, institutions and authors conducting sports AI research, discipline distribution, research hotspots and development trends in the past 15 years. Subsequently, its development direction and research progress were discussed. Sports AI was widely distributed, with the US, China and the UK leading the way. The most prolific authors and teams in research on sports AI were concentrated in American universities. Their main research direction is to develop and improve smart wearable devices based on machine learning and deep learning technologies for different groups of people. Research on sports AI involved multiple disciplines, which mainly applied and referred to research methodologies and theories on engineering, computer science and sports science. It could be seen from the frequency and centrality of keywords that in the current field of sports AI, machine learning is the main direction, artificial neural networks is the main algorithm, and practical and empirical research based on data mining is the focus. The research hotspots were divided into three major clusters: physical health promotion, sports injury prevention and control, and athletic performance enhancement. How to introduce intelligent technology into sports for a perfect integration still has an arduous and long way to go. Machine learning techniques, especially deep learning, have achieved remarkable breakthroughs over the past decade. At present, machine learning applications are deployed in many fields. However, the outcomes of software engineering researches are not always easily utilized in the development and deployment of machine learning applications. The main reason for this difficulty is the many differences between machine learning applications and traditional information systems. Machine learning techniques are evolving rapidly, but face inherent technical and non-technical challenges that complicate their lifecycle activities. This review paper attempts to clarify the software engineering challenges for machine learning applications that either exist or potentially exist by conducting a systematic literature collection and by mapping the identified challenge topics to knowledge areas defined by the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (Swebok). The increasing demand for mobility in our society poses various challenges to traffic engineering, computer science in general, and artificial intelligence in particular. Increasing the capacity of road networks is not always possible, thus a more efficient use of the available transportation infrastructure is required. Another issue is that many problems in traffic management and control are inherently decentralized and/or require adaptation to the traffic situation. Hence, there is a close relationship to multiagent reinforcement learning. However, using reinforcement learning poses the challenge that the state space is normally large and continuous, thus it is necessary to find appropriate schemes to deal with discretization of the state space. To address these issues, a multiagent system with agents learning independently via a learning algorithm was proposed, which is based on estimating Q-values from k-nearest neighbors. In the present paper, we extend this approach and include transfer of experiences among the agents, especially when an agent does not have a good set of k experiences. We deal with traffic signal control, running experiments on a traffic network in which we vary the traffic situation along time, and compare our approach to two baselines (one involving reinforcement learning and one based on fixed times). Knowledge graph embeddings represent a group of machine learning techniques which project entities and relations of a knowledge graph to continuous vector spaces. RDF2vec is a scalable embedding approach rooted in the combination of random walks with a language model. It has been successfully used in various applications. Recently, multiple variants to the RDF2vec approach have been proposed, introducing variations both on the walk generation and on the language modeling side. The combination of those different approaches has lead to an increasing family of RDF2vec variants. In this paper, we evaluate a total of twelve RDF2vec variants on a comprehensive set of benchmark models, and compare them to seven existing knowledge graph embedding methods from the family of link prediction approaches. Besides the established GEval benchmark introducing various downstream machine learning tasks on the DBpedia knowledge graph, we also use the new DLCC (Description Logic Class Constructors) benchmark consisting of two gold standards, one based on DBpedia, and one based on synthetically generated graphs. The latter allows for analyzing which ontological patterns in a knowledge graph can actually be learned by different embedding. With this evaluation, we observe that certain tailored RDF2vec variants can lead to improved performance on different downstream tasks, given the nature of the underlying problem, and that they, in particular, have a different behavior in modeling similarity and relatedness. In order to better evaluate and promote human health, this paper analyzes the influence of different inertial-measurement-unit signals, different sensor locations, different activity intensities and different signal fusion schemes on the accuracy of physical strength consumption estimation during walking and running activities. Different pattern recognition methods, such as the Counts-based linear regression model, the typical non-linear model based on decision tree and artificial neural network, and the end-to-end convolutional neural network model, are analyzed and compared. Our findings are as follows: 1) For the locations of sensors during walking and running activities, the physical strength consumption prediction accuracy at the ankle location is higher than that at the hip location. Therefore, wearing an inertial-measurement-unit at the ankle can improve the accuracy of the model. 2) Regarding the types of activity signals during walking and running activities, the impact of accelerometer signals on hip and ankle prediction accuracy is not significantly different, while the gyroscope model is more sensitive to the location, with higher prediction accuracy at the ankle than at the hip. In addition, the physical strength consumption prediction accuracy of accelerometer signals is higher than that of gyroscope signals, and fusion of accelerometer and gyroscope signals can improve the accuracy of physical strength consumption prediction. 3) For different data analysis models during walking and running activities, the artificial neural network model that integrates different sensor locations and inertial-measurement-unit signals with different activity intensities has the lowest mean squared error for the measurement of physical strength consumption. The non-linear models based on decision tree and artificial neural network have better physical strength consumption prediction capabilities than the Counts-based linear regression model, especially for high-intensity activity energy consumption prediction. In addition, feature engineering models are generally better than convolutional neural network model in terms of overall performance and prediction results under the three different activity intensities. Furthermore, as the activity intensity increases, the performance of all physical strength consumption calculation models decreases. We recommend using the artificial neural network model based on multi-signal fusion to estimate physical strength consumption during walking and running activities because this model exhibits strong generalization ability in cross-validation and test results, and its stability under different activity intensities is better than that of the other three models. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first to delve deeply and in detail into methods for estimating physical strength consumption. Undoubtedly, our paper will have an impact on research related to topics such as intelligent wearable devices and subsequent methods for estimating physical strength consumption, which are directly related to physical health. Introduction: Retrieving comprehensible rule-based knowledge from medical data by machine learning is a beneficial task, e.g., for automating the process of creating a decision support system. While this has recently been studied by means of exception-tolerant hierarchical knowledge bases (i.e., knowledge bases, where rule-based knowledge is represented on several levels of abstraction), privacy concerns have not been addressed extensively in this context yet. However, privacy plays an important role, especially for medical applications., Methods: When parts of the original dataset can be restored from a learned knowledge base, there may be a practically and legally relevant risk of re-identification for individuals. In this paper, we study privacy issues of exception-tolerant hierarchical knowledge bases which are learned from data. We propose approaches for determining and eliminating privacy issues of the learned knowledge bases., Results: We present results for synthetic as well as for real world datasets., Conclusion: The results show that our approach effectively prevents privacy breaches while only moderately decreasing the inference quality.

This paper presents a comprehensive workflow for integrating revolving events into the transitive sequential pattern mining (tSPM+) algorithm and Machine Learning for Health Outcomes (MLHO) framework, emphasizing best practices and pitfalls in its application. We emphasize feature engineering and visualization techniques, demonstrating their efficacy in capturing temporal relationships. Applied to an EGFR lung cancer cohort, our approach showcases reliable temporal insights even in a small dataset. This work highlights the importance of temporal nuances in healthcare data analysis, paving the way for improved disease understanding and patient care.

Causal inference seeks to learn the effect of interventions on outcomes. Its potential in the health domain has been dramatically increasing recently, due to advancements in machine learning, as well as in the growing amount of medical data collected. Gaia-X provides a framework to implement Health Data Spaces at scale, in a compliant, secure, and trustable manner. In this paper, we provide a modular online service for causal inference using observational data, building on the Gaia-X framework. While two versions of the IDA algorithm for causal inference are already provided, the service allows users to further contribute algorithms in various programming languages (not only for causal inference), as well as their data, and efficiently execute these on a central server. Additionally, the platform facilitates the exchange of algorithms and data among participants. Users of the platform can enter into agreements with other users over the use of algorithms and data. Calculations can be carried out directly on the platform without the need to locally store foreign data.

Digital health solutions hold promise for enhancing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes, primarily driven by advancements such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science, which enable the development of integrated care systems. Techniques for generating synthetic data from real datasets are highly advanced and continually evolving. This paper aims to present the INSAFEDARE project's ambition regarding medical devices' regulation and how real and synthetic data can be used to check if devices are safe and effective. The project will consist of three pillars: a) assurance of new state-of-the-art technologies and approaches (such as synthetic data), which will support the validation methods as part of regulatory decision-making; b) technical and scientific, focusing on data-based safety assurance, as well as discovery, integration and use of datasets, and use of machine learning approaches; and c) delivery to practice, through co-production involving relevant stakeholders, dissemination and sustainability of the project's outputs. Finally, INSAFEDARE will develop an open syllabus and training certification for health professionals focused on quality assurance.

The complexity of the cancer problem domain presents challenges not only to the medical analysis systems tasked with its analysis, but also to the users of such systems. While it is desirable to assist users in operating these medical analysis systems, prior groundwork is required before this can be achieved, such as recognising patterns in the way users create certain analyses within these systems. In this paper, we use machine learning algorithms to analyse user behaviour patterns and attempt to predict the next user interaction within the CARESS medical analysis system. Since an appropriate pre-processing scheme is essential for the performance of these algorithms, we propose the usage of a Natural Language Processing (NLP)- inspired approach to preserve some semantic cohesion of the mostly categorical features of these user interactions. Furthermore, we propose to use a sliding window that contains information about the latest user interactions in combination with Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to extract a latent topic from these last interactions and use it as additional input to the machine learning models. We compare this pre-processing scheme with other approaches that utilise one-hot encoding and feature hashing. The results of our experiments show that the sliding window LDA scheme is a promising solution, that performs better for our use case than the other evaluated pre-processing schemes. Overall, our results provide an important piece for further research and development in the area of assisting users in operating analysis systems in complex problem domains.

Defacing of brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans is a crucial process in medical imaging research aimed at preserving patient privacy while maintaining data integrity. However, existing defacing algorithms are prone to errors, potentially compromising patient anonymity. This paper investigates the feasibility and efficacy of automated quality assessment for defaced brain MRIs using machine learning (ML). Our findings demonstrate the promising capability of ML models in accurately distinguishing between properly and inadequately defaced MRI scans.

Significant developments are currently underway in the field of cancer research, particularly in Germany, regarding cancer registration and the use of medical information systems. The use of such systems contributes significantly to quality assurance and increased efficiency in data evaluation. The growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in cancer research is evident as these systems integrate AI for various purposes, i.e. to assist users in data analysis. This paper uses ensemble learning to classify the graphical user interface state of the medical information system CARESS. The results show that all ensemble learning models utilized achieved good performance. In particular, the gradient boosting algorithm performed the best with an accuracy of 97%. The results represent a starting point for further development of ensemble learning in medical data analysis, with the potential for integration into various applications such as recommender systems.

Emergency department (ED) overcrowding is a complex problem that is intricately linked with the operations of other hospital departments. Leveraging ED real-world production data provides a unique opportunity to comprehend this multifaceted problem holistically. This paper introduces a novel approach to analyse healthcare production data, treating the length of stay of patients, and the follow up decision regarding discharge or admission to the hospital as a time-to-event analysis problem. Our methodology employs traditional survival estimators and machine learning models, and Shapley additive explanations values to interpret the model outcomes. The most relevant features influencing length of stay were whether the patient received a scan at the ED, emergency room urgent visit, age, triage level, and the medical alarm unit category. The clinical insights derived from the explanation of the models holds promise for increase understanding of the overcrowding from the data. Our work demonstrates that a time-to-event approach to the over- crowding serves as a valuable initial to uncover crucial insights for further investigation and policy design.

The paper discusses biases in medical imaging analysis, particularly focusing on the challenges posed by the development of machine learning algorithms and generative models. It introduces a taxonomy of bias problems and addresses them through a data infrastructure initiative: the PADME (Platform for Analytics and Distributed Machine-Learning for Enterprises), which is a part of the National Research Data Infrastructure for Personal Health Data (NFDI4Health) project. The PADME facilitates the structuring and sharing of health data while ensuring privacy and adherence to FAIR principles. The paper presents experimental results that show that generative methods can be effective in data augmentation. Complying with PADME infrastructure, this work proposes a solution framework to deal with bias in the different data stations and preserve privacy when transferring images. It highlights the importance of standardized data infrastructure in mitigating biases and promoting FAIR, reusable, and privacy-preserving research environments in healthcare.

In this work, we evaluate the impact of changing the semantic text representation on the performance of the AR-SVS (extended association rules in semantic vector spaces) algorithm on the sentiment polarity classification task on a paper reviews dataset. To do this, we use natural language processing techniques in conjunction with machine learning classifiers. In particular, we report the classification performance using the F 1 and accuracy metrics. The semantic representations that we used in our evaluation were chosen based on a systematic literature review, leading to an evaluation of AR-SVS with FastText, GloVe, and LDA2vec representations, with word2vec providing the baseline performance. The results of the experiments indicate that the choice of semantic text representation does not have major effects on the performance of AR-SVS for polarity classification. Furthermore, the results resemble those obtained in the original AR-SVS article, both in quantitative and qualitative terms. To better understand the migration behavior of plastic fragments in the environment, development of rapid non-destructive methods for in-situ identification and characterization of plastic fragments is necessary. However, most of the studies had focused only on colored plastic fragments, ignoring colorless plastic fragments and the effects of different environmental media (backgrounds), thus underestimating their abundance. To address this issue, the present study used near-infrared spectroscopy to compare the identification of colored and colorless plastic fragments based on partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), extreme gradient boost, support vector machine and random forest classifier. The effects of polymer color, type, thickness, and background on the plastic fragments classification were evaluated. PLS-DA presented the best and most stable outcome, with higher robustness and lower misclassification rate. All models frequently misinterpreted colorless plastic fragments and its background when the fragment thickness was less than 0.1mm. A two-stage modeling method, which first distinguishes the plastic types and then identifies colorless plastic fragments that had been misclassified as background, was proposed. The method presented an accuracy higher than 99% in different backgrounds. The paper aims to analyze and compare various deep learning (DL) algorithms in order to develop a Suspicious Activity Recognition (SAR) system for closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance. Automated systems for detecting and classifying suspicious activities are crucial as technology's role in safety and security expands. This paper addresses these challenges by creating a robust SAR system using machine learning techniques. It analyzes and compares evaluation metrics such as Precision, Recall, F1 Score, and Accuracy using various deep learning methods (convolutional neural network (CNN), Long short-term memory (LSTM) – Visual Geometry Group 16 (VGG16), LSTM – ResNet50, LSTM – EfficientNetB0, LSTM – InceptionNetV3, LSTM – DenseNet121, and Long-term Recurrent Convolutional Network (LRCN)). The proposed system improves threat identification, vandalism deterrence, fight prevention, and video surveillance. It aids emergency response by accurately classifying suspicious activities from CCTV footage, reducing reliance on human security personnel and addressing limitations in manual monitoring. The objectives of the paper include analyzing existing works, extracting features from CCTV videos, training robust deep learning models, evaluating algorithms, and improving accuracy. The conclusion highlights the superior performance of the LSTM-DenseNet121 algorithm, achieving an overall accuracy of 91.17% in detecting suspicious activities. This enhances security monitoring capabilities and reduces response time. Limitations of the system include subjectivity, contextual understanding, occlusion, false alarms, and privacy concerns. Future improvements involve real-time object tracking, collaboration with law enforcement agencies, and performance optimization. This study explores the realm of predictive analytics, leveraging the power of machine learning to alleviate the suspense by forecasting T20 cricket match winners before the first ball is bowled. Drawing on a rich dataset encompassing factors such as past team performance and rankings, a diverse ensemble of predictive models, including logistic regression, support vector machine (SVM), random forest, decision tree, and XGBoost, is meticulously employed. Among these, the random forest Classifier emerges as the standout performer, boasting an impressive prediction accuracy rate of 84.06%. To assess the real-world applicability of our predictive framework, a post-case study is conducted, focusing on the high-stakes World Cup T20 matches of 2022, where England emerges as the triumphant team. In practical applications of machine learning, only part of data is labeled because the cost of assessing class label is relatively high. Measure of uncertainty is abbreviated as MU. This paper explores MU for partially labeled real-valued data via a discernibility relation. First, a decision information system with partially labeled real-valued data (p-RVDIS) is separated into two decision information systems: one is the decision information system with labeled real-valued data (l-RVDIS) and the other is the decision information system with unlabeled real-valued data (u-RVDIS). Then, based on a discernibility relation, dependence function, conditional information entropy and conditional information amount, four degrees of importance on an attribute subset in a p-RVDIS are defined. They are calculated by taking the weighted sum of l-RVDIS and u-RVDIS based on the missing rate, which can be considered as four MUs for a p-RVDIS. Combining l-RVDIS and u-RVDIS provides a more accurate assessment of the importance and classification ability of attribute subsets in a p-RVDIS. This is precisely the novelty of this paper. Structure learning is the core of graph model Bayesian Network learning, and the current mainstream single search algorithm has problems such as poor learning effect, fuzzy initial network, and easy falling into local optimum. In this paper, we propose a heuristic learning algorithm HC-PSO combining the HC (Hill Climbing) algorithm and PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm, which firstly uses HC algorithm to search for locally optimal network structures, takes these networks as the initial networks, then introduces mutation operator and crossover operator, and uses PSO algorithm for global search. Meanwhile, we use the DE (Differential Evolution) strategy to select the mutation operator and crossover operator. Finally, experiments are conducted in four different datasets to calculate BIC (Bayesian Information Criterion) and HD (Hamming Distance), and comparative analysis is made with other algorithms, the structure shows that the HC-PSO algorithm is superior in feasibility and accuracy. This paper explores the balance between fairness and performance in machine learning classification, predicting the likelihood of a patient receiving anti-microbial treatment using structured data in community nursing wound care electronic health records. The data includes two important predictors (gender and language) of the social determinants of health, which we used to evaluate the fairness of the classifiers. At the same time, the impact of various groupings of language codes on classifiers' performance and fairness is analyzed. Most common statistical learning-based classifiers are evaluated. The findings indicate that while K-Nearest Neighbors offers the best fairness metrics among different grouping settings, the performance of all classifiers is generally consistent across different language code groupings. Also, grouping more variables tends to improve the fairness metrics over all classifiers while maintaining their performance.

Inconsistent disease coding standards in medicine create hurdles in data exchange and analysis. This paper proposes a machine learning system to address this challenge. The system automatically matches unstructured medical text (doctor notes, complaints) to ICD-10 codes. It leverages a unique architecture featuring a training layer for model development and a knowledge base that captures relationships between symptoms and diseases. Experiments using data from a large medical research center demonstrated the system's effectiveness in disease classification prediction. Logistic regression emerged as the optimal model due to its superior processing speed, achieving an accuracy of 81.07% with acceptable error rates during high-load testing. This approach offers a promising solution to improve healthcare informatics by overcoming coding standard incompatibility and automating code prediction from unstructured medical text.

Spam reviews are a pervasive problem on online platforms due to its significant impact on reputation. However, research into spam detection in data streams is scarce. Another concern lies in their need for transparency. Consequently, this paper addresses those problems by proposing an online solution for identifying and explaining spam reviews, incorporating data drift adaptation. It integrates (i) incremental profiling, (ii) data drift detection & adaptation, and (iii) identification of spam reviews employing Machine Learning. In the field of text classification, current research ignores the role of part-of-speech features, and the multi-channel model that can learn richer text information compared to a single model. Moreover, the method based on neural network models to achieve final classification, using fully connected layer and Softmax layer can be further improved and optimized. This paper proposes a hybrid model for text classification using part-of-speech features, namely PAGNN-Stacking1. In the text representation stage of the model, introducing part-of-speech features facilitates a more accurate representation of text information. In the feature extraction stage of the model, using the multi-channel attention gated neural network model can fully learn the text information. In the text final classification stage of the model, this paper innovatively adopts Stacking algorithm to improve the fully connected layer and Softmax layer, which fuses five machine learning algorithms as base classifier and uses fully connected layer Softmax layer as meta classifier. Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce that enables customers to purchase products directly from the seller over the internet using a web browser or a mobile application. With the growing number of research papers on Deep Learning (DL)-based recommendations, DL models have proven to be effective in Recommender systems. Hence in this paper, relevant product accessories recommendation is proposed using deep learning and histogram features. The proposed recommendation describes the novel way of content-based filtering which divides the work into two phases. In phase 1, the implemented approach determines the color and category of the product. In phase 2, the recommendation system retrieves the matching accessories for the chosen product. For phase 1, Decision Tree, Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and a novel method of Stack dense Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) along with the color histogram is applied to identify the category and color of the product. It is justified that the proposed technique of stack dense RNN achieves 98% accuracy. In phase 2, from the Machine Learning (ML) perspective, Random Forest (RF) is employed for the recommendation. Most existing Web service recommendation models based on machine learning do not fully consider the high-order features interaction between users and services and with poor interpretability. In this paper, an Interpretable Web Service Recommendation model based on Disentangled Representation Learning (WSR-DRL) is proposed. First of all, to make full use of the service description information to improve the accuracy of Web service recommendation, the features representation of service name is obtained by using BERT model, and the local and global features representation of service description information is further obtained by combining 2-D CNN and Bi-LSTM. Then the disentangled convolution neural network is used to generate the high-order interaction features between users and services, and the neighborhood routing algorithm is used to mine the latent factors in these features. That improves the accuracy of Web service recommendation and make it interpretable. Finally, in order to verify the effectiveness of the model, several groups of experiments are carried out on real data sets. The experimental results show that compared with latest models such as DMF, DeepFM, DKN, GCMC, NDCG model and WSR-MGAT model, the WSR-DRL model proposed in this paper shows better performance on Precision@10, Recall@10, F1@10 and NDCG@10 evaluation metrics. As one of the main methods of information fusion, artificial intelligence class fusion algorithm not only inherits the powerful skills of artificial intelligence, but also inherits many advantages of information fusion. Similarly, as an important sub-field of artificial intelligence class fusion algorithm, deep learning class fusion algorithm also inherits advantages of deep learning and information fusion. Hence, deep learning fusion algorithm has become one of the research hotspots of many scholars. To solve the problem that the existing neural networks are input into multiple channels as a whole and cannot fully learn information of multichannel images, Shan et al. proposed multichannel concat-fusional convolutional neural networks. To mine more multichannel images' information and further explore the performance of different fusion types, the paper proposes new fusional neural networks called multichannel cross-fusion convolutional neural networks (McCfCNNs) with fusion types of "R+G+B/R+G+B/R+G+B" and "R+G/G+B/B+R" based on the tremendous strengths of information fusion. Experiments show that McCfCNNs obtain 0.07-6.09% relative performance improvement in comparison with their corresponding non-fusion convolutional neural networks (CNNs) on diverse datasets (such as CIFAR100, SVHN, CALTECH256, and IMAGENET) under a certain computational complexity. Hence, McCfCNNs with fusion types of "R+G+B/R+G+B/R+G+B" and "R+G/G+B/B+R" can learn more fully multichannel images' information, which provide a method and idea for processing multichannel information fusion, for example, remote sensing satellite images. Temporal knowledge base exists on various fields. Take medical medicine field as example, diabetes is a typical chronic disease which evolves slowly. This paper starts from actual EMR data of hospitals by combination of experience and knowledge of clinical doctors. Link prediction on clinical knowledge base such as diabetic complication requires the analysis on temporal characteristic of temporal knowledge base, which is a great challenge for traditional link prediction models. This paper proposes temporal knowledge graph link prediction model based on deep learning. This model selects the TransR transformation model suitable for big data and makes entity projection in relation space containing different semantic meanings, so as to vector the entities and complex semantic relations in graph. Then it adopts LSTM recursive neural network and adds the top-bottom relational information of the graph for sequential learning. Finally it constantly carries out deep learning through incremental calculation and LSTM recursive network to improve the accuracy of prediction. The incremental LSTM model highlights the hidden semantic and clinical temporal information and effectively utilizes sequential learning to mining forward-backward dependent information. It compensates the deficiency of lower prediction accuracy on timely knowledge graph caused by the traditional link prediction models. In this paper, a novel Z-number based Fuzzy Neural Network (Z-FNN) based on the integration of Z-valued fuzzy logic and neural networks is proposed. Z-valued fuzzy rule base is presented and its inference process is described using interpolative approximate reasoning. Accordingly, the structure of the Z-FNN is proposed using a distance measure and interpolative approximate reasoning scheme. Based on presented architecture the learning algorithm of Z-FNN is designed. The updating of the unknown parameters of the network is carried out using Genetic Algorithms (GA). The proposed Z-FNN system is utilized for dynamic plant identification. The effectiveness of Z-FNN has been tested by comparing its performance with the performances of other fuzzy systems available in the literature. The quality of sleep plays a crucial role in physical well-being, and individuals are becoming increasingly concerned about sleep quality and its associated health issues. Although various sleep monitoring devices exist, there remains a need for a highly accurate sleep state identification algorithm. To address this, we present a paper that utilizes machine learning techniques to identify human sleep states based on electroencephalogram (EEG) signals collected by an EEG instrument. We propose a model that incorporates two nonlinear characteristic parameters, MSE and PSE, extracted from artificially designed EEG signals as input. Additionally, we employ a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier algorithm to accurately identify sleep states, eliminating uncertainties associated with manually designed feature parameters. Experimental results demonstrate the superior accuracy of our proposed model for sleep state analysis, offering valuable insights for improving sleep quality and addressing related health concerns. Background: The goal of this work is to develop a digital version of a standard cognitive assessment, the Trail Making Test (TMT), and assess its utility.Objective: This paper introduces a novel digital version of the TMT and introduces a machine learning based approach to assess its capabilities.Methods: Using digital Trail Making Test (dTMT) data collected from (N = 54) older adult participants as feature sets, we use machine learning techniques to analyze the utility of the dTMT and evaluate the insights provided by the digital features.Results: Predicted TMT scores correlate well with clinical digital test scores (r = 0.98) and paper time to completion scores (r = 0.65). Predicted TICS exhibited a small correlation with clinically derived TICS scores (r = 0.12 Part A, r = 0.10 Part B). Predicted FAB scores exhibited a small correlation with clinically derived FAB scores (r = 0.13 Part A, r = 0.29 for Part B). Digitally derived features were also used to predict diagnosis (AUC of 0.65).Conclusion: Our findings indicate that the dTMT is capable of measuring the same aspects of cognition as the paper-based TMT. Designers refer to existing product cases and innovate products to develop new products. However, when designers screen product cases, there is no user participation, which leads to the lack of user-side knowledge and emotional drive that is very important for design. Therefore, it is necessary to play the role of user emotional knowledge in promoting the whole design process. This paper proposes the concept of the positive perceptual sample, which applies the knowledge emotion integration of designers and users to the screening sample case stage at the beginning of the design process. This study is based on the lack of user-side knowledge and emotional drive of reference cases and integrates user emotion into the reference case screening process. Then, in the emotion measurement process, users' cognitive data in the screening process are obtained through the eye-brain fusion cognitive experiment. Finally, the XGBoost algorithm is used to process feature index data to realize the classification and recognition of cognitive data and applied to the positive perceptual classification of products. The results show that the classification accuracy of physiological cognitive data with user emotional representation by the XGBoost algorithm is 90.87%. The results of cognitive data classification are applied to the screening of positive perceptual samples, and the satisfaction rate is 98.35%.
