The article discusses a survey released by Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) on transportation taxes and infrastructure financing which revealed that tax increases whose revenues are spent on safety, maintenance and the environment received support from all socio-demographic groups. The survey was participated in by 1,501 adults across the U.S. through a telephone interview in English or Spanish. It also revealed the respondents' lack of support for undefined tax increase purposes.
