Due to thermal expansion of the mechanical structure, assembly processes, bearing wear, and long-term vibration during operation, a clearance fit may occur between the bearing outer ring and its pedestal. The clearance fit may result in relative motion between the bearing outer ring and pedestal, thereby altering the support characteristics of the rotor and subsequently impacting the dynamic characteristics of the rotor-bearing system. The stable operation of the system may be at risk in this case. In this paper, the dynamic model of the coupling system of a dual rotor-bearing outer ring-pedestal-casing with clearance fit is established based on the finite element method and lumped parameter method. The dimensionality of the system equation is reduced using the fixed-interface component mode synthesis (CMS) method and solved numerically. The impact of clearance fit on the vibration characteristics of the system is investigated under three operational conditions: imbalance of the inner rotor, imbalance of the outer rotor, and simultaneous imbalance of both two rotors. Furthermore, an analysis is conducted to evaluate the motion state of the system with clearance fit. Lastly, the vibration transmission characteristics between the rotor-bearing outer ring-pedestal-casing are studied. The results indicate that the harmonic components corresponding to the rotational speed frequency of rotors will appear on the spectrum and envelope spectrum of the system with clearance fit. The natural frequency of the system may be excited in the resonance region. Due to the influence of gravity, the dynamic characteristics of the system vary significantly at low and high rotational speeds. Karst environmental issues have become one of the hot spots in contemporary international geological research. The same problem of water shortage is one of the hot spots of global concern. The peak-cluster depression basins in southwest of Guangxi is an important water connotation and ecological barrier areas in the Pearl River Basin of China. Thus, studying the spatial and temporal variations and the influencing factors of its water yield services is critical to achieve the sustainable development of water resources and ecological environmental protection in this region. As such, this paper uses the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs (InVEST) model to assess the spatial and temporal variabilities of water yield services and its trends in the peak-cluster depression basins in southwest of Guangxi from 2000 to 2020. This work also integrates precipitation (Pre), reference evapotranspiration (ET), temperature (Tem), digital elevation model (DEM), slope, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), land use/land cover (LULC) and soil type to reveal the main factors that influence water yield services with the help of Geodetector. Results show that: 1) in time scale, the total annual water yield in the study area show a fluctuating and increasing trend from 2000 to 2020, with a growth rate of 7.3753 × 108 m3/yr, and its multi-year average water yield was 538.07 mm; 2) in spatial pattern, with high yield areas mainly distributed in the south of the study area (mainly including Shangsi County, Pingxiang City, Ningming County, Longzhou County and Jingxi County), and low yield areas mainly distributed in Baise City and Nanning City; 3) the dominant factor of water yield within karst and non-karst landforms is not necessarily controlled by precipitation, and the explanation degree of DEM factors in karst areas is significantly higher than that in non-karst areas; 4) amongst the climatic factors, Pre, ET and Tem are dominant in the spatial pattern of region water yield capacity. among which Pre has the highest explanatory power for the spatial heterogeneity of annual water production, with q values above 0.8, and each driver showed a significant interaction on the spatial distribution of water yield, with Pre exhibiting the strongest interaction with LULC. Karst rocky desertification (KRD) has become one of the most serious ecological and environmental problems in karst areas. At present, mapping KRD with a high accuracy and on a large scale is still a difficult problem in the control of KRD. In this study, a random forest (RF) based on maximum information coefficient and correlation coefficient feature selection is proposed to predict KRD. Nine predictors stood out as feature factors to estimate KRD. Rock exposure was the most important predictor, followed by fractional vegetation cover for the prediction of KRD processes. The kappa and classification accuracy indexes were to evaluate the performance of the model. We recorded overall accuracy rate and kappa index values of 94.7% and 0.92 for the testing datasets respectively. The RF model was then used to predict the KRD in 2001, 2011, 2016, and 2020, and it was found that the KRD in the study area has exhibited a positive trend of improvement. Therefore, the use of multisource remote sensing data combined with the RF model can obtain better prediction results of KRD, thereby providing a new idea for large-scale estimation of the KRD in peak-cluster depression. Characterizing the availability of opportunities to residents has been a long-term aim in health care geographic investigation. It is important to measure the degree of inequity in health care accessibility and to identify underserved areas, due to the uneven distribution of health care services. In this study, JavaScript was used to calculate travel time based on Amap, as this can provide a more reliable data support to measure the health care accessibility in Xi'an communities, China. Based on the overall equity, herein, an attempt was made to quantify the equity of health care accessibility, and to identify health care underserved areas inside the different communities. Results show that the accessibility to low-level health care services is high in the northern areas and low in the southern areas, while the accessibility to high-level and comprehensive health care services shows a clear core-periphery spatial structure. Moreover, the overall equity of the health care accessibility is relatively low, and the inequity of high-level health care accessibility is further aggravated. Furthermore, the quantified equity of accessibility to high-level and comprehensive health care services in the central urban areas is better; however low-level health care services are relatively inadequate. There are significant differences among health care underserved areas, in particular, for the worst equity and the lowest accessibility areas (A1) and the worse equity and the lowest accessibility areas (B1) in high-level underserved areas. Notably, the sharing of health care services and the reasonable flow of health technical personnel among different levels of health institutions can make the high-level health care services in the central urban areas have a greater trickle effect on the surrounding areas. Based on the discovery of the "natural orange soil layer" in the wall foundation of the Ming Great Wall in Huangzhong County, Xining City, northwest China, this paper reveals the mechanism behind the barrier effect of this layer on the salinity deterioration through the combination of qualitative judgment and quantitative testing. Based on this mechanism, the conventional lime soil was improved by adding modified polyvinyl alcohol as the cementing agent and fly ash, thereby generating a modified cushion material. Indoor tests of freeze-thaw and temperature-humidity cycles for the modified cushion material were then conducted alongside field tests of rammed restorations in the basal sapping zone with and without the modified cushion. The test results show that the modified cushion materials have excellent durability and act as a substantial barrier to salinity deterioration. The effects of hypobaric conditions on stable isotope and mineral element concentrations during the germination of mungbean [ Vigna radiata (Linn.) Wilczek] were evaluated. Mungbean seeds were cultured in lower atmospheric pressure (60 kPa) and normal air pressure (101 kPa) conditions, respectively. Oxygen and carbon dioxide partial pressures were maintained at 21 and 0.04 kPa, respectively. At 60 kPa, the fresh weight (FW) and dry weight (DW) of plants significantly increased by 5.41 and 9.62%, respectively, compared to those at 101 kPa after culturing for 7 d. Twelve mineral elements were compared among three organs (leaf, stem, and root) from seedlings grown under hypobaric and normal atmospheric conditions. This showed that lower air pressure generally improved element accumulation in the plant. A significantly lower value of δ C was observed at 60 kPa compared to that at 101 kPa. In addition, a significant increase in δ N value was detected in three different organs of plants grown under 60 kPa. Our survey provides a foundation for future field and laboratory studies on the influence of air pressure on plants, particularly in terms of stable isotope and mineral elements. This paper presents a method for structural modifications for achieving desired eigenstructures based on receptances, by adding multiple mass-spring systems to some locations of the primary system. This method has the benefit that not only neither analytical nor modal models are needed, but also the original mass and stiffness of the primary system are maintained. Moreover, when a complex structure or machine is designed for some special functions so that its inner structure is not allowed to be modified, it is an effective way in practice to achieve desired dynamical performance resulted from adding several external simple substructures. The theory is presented in this paper, which is suitable for linear undamped systems. Numerical experiment is set up, and the results of the modifications are compared with the method proposed by Braun and Ram. An impurity was isolated from crude synthesized roflumilast and characterized by H NMR, C NMR, and HR-MS, which confirmed the structure as N-(3,5-dichloropyrid-4-yl)-4-difluoromethoxy-3-hydroxybenzamide. To further verify the structure, this compound was synthesized from 4-difluoromethoxy-3-hydroxybenzaldehyde. Comparison of the H NMR, C NMR, HR-MS, and the HPLC spectrum of the impurity and the authentic sample indicated that this impurity was N-(3,5-dichloropyrid-4-yl)-4-difluoromethoxy-3-hydroxybenzamide. Micro- and nano-sized SiC/fluoroelastomer (FKM) composites were prepared by a mechanical mixing method. These composites were first characterized by a rotorless rheometer. Then the effects of micro- and nano-sized SiC on hardness, static and dynamic mechanical properties of the composites were investigated. The increasing amount of the SiC filler increased the curing efficiency of the biphenyl curing system, which was evident from the rheometric properties of the resulting composites. The tensile properties of composite increased with the increasing of micro- and nano-sized SiC content. When the micro- and nano-sized SiC content was higher than 20 phr, the composites showed almost unchanged tensile properties. The increasing of the tensile property was mainly attributed to the well dispersed micro- and nano-sized SiC particles characterized by SEM images. Compared to pure FKM, the composites exhibited a higher glass transition temperature and lower tan δ peak value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A convenient synthetic method has been developed for the synthesis of roflumilast from 4-difluoromethoxy-3-hydroxybenzaldehyde and bromomethyl cyclopropane via O-alkylation, oxidation and N-acylation. With sodium hydroxide as alkali in the last step, the total yield of roflumilast can be up to 68.3 % and the purity of the target product reached 99.2 %. Obesity is an established risk factor for endometrial cancer. Leptin, a secreted protein of the ob gene by white adipose tissue, plays an important role in the regulation of food intake and energy consumption in the brain and acts as a potential growth stimulator in normal and neoplastic cancer cells. However, a direct role for leptin in endometrial cancer has not been demonstrated. In the present study, the effect of leptin on the proliferation of Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells was investigated as well as the possible mechanism(s) underlying this action in endometrial cancers which express both short and long isoforms of leptin receptors. The expression of leptin receptor (ObRb) in Ishikawa cells was detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting. The cells after serum starvation, were treated by leptin with various concentrations (0, 10, 50, 100, 150 ng/mL) for different durations (6, 12, 24 h). The effect of leptin treatment on cell proliferation was examined by MTT assay. Meanwhile, inhibitory effect of Janus tyrosine kinase 2 (JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) inhibitor AG490 or extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) inhibitor PD98059 on the proliferation of Ishikawa cells induced by leptin was also studied. Ishikawa cells were treated with 100 ng/mL leptin for various periods (0, 20, 40, 60 min), and the levels of STAT3 phosphorylation and ERK1/2 phosphorylation were examined by Western blotting. The results showed that leptin induced the phosphorylation of STAT3 and the activation of ERK1/2 in a time- and dose-dependent manner in the Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells. Blocking STAT3 phosphorylation with the inhibitor AG490, or blocking ERK1/2 activation by the specific ERK1/2 kinase inhibitor, PD98059, abolished leptin-induced proliferation of Ishikawa cells. In addition, leptin was found to potently induce the invasion of endometrial cancer cells in a Matrigel invasion assay. Leptin-stimulated invasion was effectively blocked by pharmacological inhibitors of STAT3 (AG490) and ERK1/2 kinase (PD98059). These results suggested that leptin promotes endometrial cancer growth and invasiveness by activating STAT3 and ERK1/2 signaling pathways and therefore blocking its action at the receptor level can be a rational therapeutic strategy. The catalytic synthesis of 2-amino-1-butanol from 1,2-butanediol and ammonia was studied in a continuous fixed-bed reactor. The catalysts prepared by doping Co–Ba/γ-Al2O3 with Sr, Ni, Ca, Zn, La, Fe, Mg, Zr, Mn, Cr were examined, among which the Co–Ba–Fe/γ-Al2O3 catalyst showed the best catalytic performance. These catalysts were characterized by XRD, XPS, and TPR. It was found that the addition of iron led to the formation of crystalline Co7Fe3, which modified the catalytic activity of Co species, inhibited the generation of CoAl2O4, improved the stability and enhanced the reduction of the Co–Ba–Fe/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. The conversion of 1,2-butanediol was 72.9% and the selectivity of 2-amino-1-butanol achieved 73.3% under the optimum reaction conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To investigate the expression of mRNA of leptin long-form receptor (OB-Rb) in luteinized granulosa cells of obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and to determine the role of leptin in the physiopathology of PCOS, luteinized granulosa cells were collected from the follicle fluid of 10 obese women who met the diagnostic criteria for PCOS and their BMI was equal to or greater than 25 kg/m2, and at the same time, granulosa cells were collected from 10 normal women undergoing IVF-ET who served as the control group. Some luteinized granulosa cells were taken from normal women for in-vitro culture, into which human leptin of different concentrations was added (0, 10, 100 and 1000 ng/mL). After stimulation with leptin for 48 h, RT-PCR was employed for the detection of the expression of OB-RLmRNA in the luteinized granulosa cells. Our results showed that the level of OB-RLmRNA in luteinized granulosa cells of obese PCOS women was higher than those in the control ( P<0.05). In luteinized granulosa cells cultured in vitro and stimulated by human leptin for 48 h, the level of OB-RLmRNA was higher than those without leptin stimulation ( P<0.01), and when leptin concentration was at 100 ng/mL, and the level of OB-RLmRNA reached a peak. It is concluded that in obese PCOS women, the level of serum leptin is increased, which promotes the expression of OB-RL in luteinized granulosa cells and increases the sensitivity of the granulosa cells to leptin. Although the fully grouted tension anchorage system (T-anchorage system) has been widely used in the field of anchoring of earthen heritage sites, it has always suffered from the failure of the bolt–slurry interface debonding and the strong attenuation of the shear stress of the bolt–slurry interface along the embedment length. In this article, a new type of fully grouted tension–compression composite anchorage system (TC-anchorage system) is proposed, which is made up of a pressure bearing system with the same diameter of the anchor hole at the end of the tension bolt. The in situ anchorage, pull-out test and interfacial stress–strain monitoring were carried out for the T-anchorage systems and the TC-anchorage systems. This was based on the preliminary analysis and comparison of the structure and working mechanism of the two anchorage systems. The test results show that: the average ultimate load of the TC-anchorage system is about 40% higher than that of the T-anchorage system. TC-anchorage systems have the characteristics of small elastic deformation and large plastic deformation. The strain at the bolt–slurry interface varies progressively along the embedded length with the increase of load in a positive skewness–bimodal–negative skewness curve. The working mechanism of TC-anchorage systems includes three progressive stages: bolt–slurry interface debonding, conical slurry formation and slurry extrusion. The research conclusion provides a reference for the application of TC-anchorage systems in the protection and reinforcement of earthen heritage sites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
