Extreme precipitation usually cause grievous losses&casualties, which varies greatly under different scenarios. This paper took Henan province as an example, it innovatively constructed three different extreme precipitation scenarios and built indicators system of social vulnerability from exposure, sensitivity and resilience based on MOVE framework. Social Vulnerability Indexs(SoVI) were then calculated by mathematical models under three different reoccurrence intervals. The results show that SoVI was low in the west and high in the north. High SoVI areas expanded to the middle and south as recurrence intervals increased. SoVI in each area of Henan province increased along with the recurrence intervals at different growth rates. The larger the recurrence interval was, the faster the SoVI increased. The results indicate SoVI is greatly affected by disaster levels, which need to be incorporated into social vulnerability. In response to a series of problems brought about by rapid economic development, such as global warming and the continuous deterioration of the ecological environment, China has taken the initiative to shoulder the responsibility of a major country and continued to contribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" at an early date. In this paper, Henan Province has been selected as the study area, and the changes in land use and carbon storage in Henan Province from 2000 to 2020 have been analyzed spatially and temporally. The PLUS model is used to predict future land use changes under different scenarios, and the InVEST model is used to estimate carbon storage under the corresponding scenarios. The results showed that (1) During 2000–2020, the farmland in Henan Province has been in a decreasing trend, grassland and construction land showed a decreasing trend and then an increasing trend, and woodland showed a decreasing trend. From 2000 to 2020, Henan's overall carbon storage showed a downward trend each year, with storage mainly in the western and southern regions of the province, with a spatial distribution of high storage in the west and low storage in the east. (2) Under the normal development scenario (SSP2-RCP4.5) from 2030 to 2050, the area of farmland and woodland basically showed a continuous downward trend, while construction land showed an upward trend annually, and farmland and construction land showed an increasing trend under the normal development scenario (SSP2-RCP4.5) and economic priority scenario (SSP5-RCP8.5). The decreasing trend of carbon storage was the smallest under the normal development scenario (SSP2-RCP4.5) and the ecological protection scenario (SSP1-RCP2.6). The situation of resource utilization and eco-environment protection remains critical globally. The harmony between eco-environment health and water-energy utilization efficiency is a strong support for the realization of high-quality development. In this paper, an Assessment-Decoupling two-stage framework was developed to investigate the relationship between water-energy resource utilization and ecological security. In detail, an improved input-output indicator system was constructed to assess the water-energy resource utilization efficiency (WEUE), and its influencing factors were examined from multiple system perspectives; then, we intended to evaluate the ecological risk (ER) from a raster-scale perspective based on land-use types; and finally, the decoupling idea was introduced to quantify the fitness relationship of the above two aspects. The framework was applied to Henan Province, China. The study found that: (1) the WEUE of Henan Province shows a "W" pattern of development during 2000–2020; in 2000–2010, the WEUE of South Henan declined, while in 2010–2020, the WEUE of Henan Province gradually improved, with significant increases in various districts. (2) The ecological risk index (ERI) in Henan Province generally shows a decreasing trend, and the spatial difference is more obvious, with the high-risk areas mainly concentrated in the central, east, and south Henan, and the west of Henan is mainly a low-risk area. (3) There is strong spatial variation in the decoupling states of WEUE and ERI of the 18 districts in Henan Province, and the differences become more pronounced over time. The number of districts with a strong negative decoupling state has been increasing during the entire period, and a total of 14 districts have reached the above state in 2020. The developed framework offers a new idea for clarifying the relationship between resource utilization and ecological conditions, and the obtained results can provide data support for the realization of sustainable development. The quality of cultivated land determines the production capacity of cultivated land and the level of regional development, and also directly affects the food security and ecological safety of the country. This paper starts from the perspective of spatial pattern of cultivated land quality and uses spatial autocorrelation analysis to study the spatial aggregation characteristics and differences of cultivated land quality in Henan Province at the county level scale, and also uses bivariate spatial autocorrelation to analyze the influence of neighboring influences on the quality of cultivated land in the target area. The spatial autoregressive model was used to further analyze the driving factors affecting the quality of cultivated land, and the influence of cultivated land area index was coupled in the process of rating analysis, which was finally used as a basis to propose more precise measures for the protection of cultivated land zoning. The results show that: (1) The quality of cultivated land in Henan Province has a strong spatial correlation (global Moran's I≈0.710) and shows an obvious aggregation pattern in spatial distribution; positive correlation types (high-high and low-low) are concentrated in north-central and western mountainous areas of Henan Province, respectively; negative correlation types are discrete. The negative correlation types are distributed in a discrete manner. (2) The bivariate spatial autocorrelation results show that Slope (Moran's I≈-0.505), Irrigation guarantee rate (IGR, 0.354), Urbanization rate (-0.255), Total agricultural machinery power (TAMP, 0.331) and Pesticide use (0.214) are the main influencing factors. (3) According to the absolute values of the regression coefficients, it can be seen that the magnitude of the influence of different factors on the quality of cultivated land is: Slope (0.089) >IGR (0.025) > Urbanization rate (0.002) > TAMP (0.001) > Pesticide use (1.96e-006). Accurate urban boundary data can directly reflect the expansion of urban space, help us accurately grasp the scale and form of urban space, and play a vital role in urban land development and policy-making. However, the lack of reliable multiscale and high-precision urban boundary data products and relevant training datasets has become one of the major factors hindering their application. The purpose of this study is to combine Sentinel-2 remote-sensing images and supplementary geographic data to generate a reliable high-precision urban boundary dataset for Henan Province (called HNUB2018). First, this study puts forward a clear definition of "urban boundary". Using this concept as its basis, it proposes a set of operable urban boundary delimitation rules and technical processes. Then, based on Sentinel-2 remote-sensing images and supplementary geographic data, the urban boundaries of Henan Province are delimited by a visual interpretation method. Finally, the applicability of the dataset is verified by using a classical semantic segmentation deep learning model. The results show that (1) HNUB2018 has clear and rich detailed features as well as a detailed spatial structure of urban boundaries. The overall accuracy of HNUB2018 is 92.82% and the kappa coefficient reaches 0.8553, which is better than GUB (Henan) in overall accuracy. (2) HNUB2018 is well suited for deep learning, with excellent reliability and scientific validity. The research results of this paper can provide data support for studies of urban sprawl monitoring and territorial spatial planning, and will support the development of reliable datasets for fields such as intelligent mapping of urban boundaries, showing prospects and possibilities for wide application in urban research. In the paper, Henan Province with prevalent straw burning was taken as the study case. Aimed at remote sensing recognition of the straw burning fire points in a large-scale area with complex terrain and climate conditions, an optimized recognition strategy of straw burning was proposed based on the MOD021KM data. In our new recognition strategy, the threshold determination method was optimised by systematic statistical analysis of spectral features. Then the non-straw burning fire points were eliminated by extracting the agricultural land from MCD12Q1 image. Thus, the true straw-burning fire points were determined. The GM(1,N) model can consider the impact of many factors on a system, but it is only suitable for short-term prediction of small samples, and its ability to mine data information is weak. In response to this problem, the BP neural network is introduced, and the powerful function approximation ability of neural networks is used to approximate the GM(1,N) model. A new GM(1,N)-BP neural network model is proposed to predict the agricultural grey water footprint in Henan Province. On this basis, the future development trend of agricultural grey water footprint is analyzed. The results show that, after comparison and verification, the new GM(1,N)-BP neural network combination model can greatly improve the prediction accuracy of grey water footprint. From 2021 to 2025, the model predicts that the agricultural grey water footprint of Henan Province will continue to rise, with an increase of 17% compared with 2020. Spatially, the grey water footprint increases from north to south, and in the east–west direction, it is high at both ends and low in the middle, but it is higher in the west than in the east. The exploration of the spatiotemporal variations and influencing factors of grain yield in major grain-producing regions is greatly important to maintain stable and sustainable agriculture. Taking Henan Province and Heilongjiang Province as examples, this study reveals the spatiotemporal characteristics of grain yield at the county level by using multisource data on the economy, society, and natural geography from 2000 to 2021 and employing methods such as coefficients of variation, standard deviational ellipses, and spatial autocorrelation analysis. Moreover, geographical detector and geographically weighted regression models are combined to explore the differences in significant influencing factors between these provinces and the spatial heterogeneity of regression coefficients, respectively. The following findings are drawn: (1) Grain yield in both provinces gradually increased, with notable differences in the annual growth rate, the proportion, and at the county level. (2) The number of high-yield counties significantly increased and their spatial distribution became more concentrated, indicating a notable shift in the main regions. (3) The overall spatial correlation of grain yield steadily increased, and the local spatial correlation transitioned from random distribution to gradual aggregation. (4) There were significant differences in the influencing factors, where geographical environment, socio-economic factors, and input factors all affected both provinces. In summary, this study provides a scientific reference for governments worldwide to formulate rational and effective food production policies, thereby contributing to global food security and sustainable social development. At present, the air quality of most cities in Henan Province is seriously polluted. This will do great harm to people's health and the sustainable development of society. In order to solve this situation and improve the air quality of Henan Province, it is necessary to make effective forecast for the future air quality. After comprehensive consideration of various prediction models, combined with the characteristics of air quality, this paper selects the grey model as the research tool. In order to improve the prediction accuracy of the model, a compound accumulative grey model is proposed in this paper. It has been proved that the accuracy of this model is higher than that of other models. The study found that the concentration of SO 2 and NO 2 in 18 cities in Henan province will continue to decline, reaching the first-level standard. PM 2.5 and PM 10 concentrations in all cities still exceeded the standard, with some cities exceeding the standard seriously. Fluocerite has been shown experimentally and by thermodynamic modeling to be an important phase for the evolution of magmatic-hydrothermal REE mineralizing systems, but one that is rarely observed in nature. The reason for the latter is poorly understood. The newly discovered Taipingzhen REE deposit in Henan province, Central China, is unique for containing abundant fluocerite and thus provides a great opportunity to explore the role of fluocerite in REE mineralization. Fluocerite was the earliest REE mineral to crystallize in this deposit and was replaced extensively by bastnäsite. It has a higher La/Nd ratio than the later-depositing REE minerals, e.g., bastnäsite and monazite. This decrease in the La/Nd ratio with time is interpreted to have resulted from the fluocerite-mediated fractionation of REE (fluocerite prefers the lightest REE during its deposition from a high temperature, sulfate-rich hydrothermal fluid, in which the REE were transported as sulfate complexes). This study provides compelling evidence that fluocerite is, indeed, an important, early crystallizing mineral in magmatic-hydrothermal REE systems, which elsewhere was replaced entirely by bastnäsite during subsequent fluid evolution. Moreover, the study shows that the bastnäsite, which replaced fluocerite, inherited its high La/Nd ratio, suggesting that this ratio could be used as a tool with which to identify the former presence of fluocerite. The preservation of fluocerite in the Taipingzhen deposit is interpreted to have been due to the lack of significant cooling until a late stage of mineralization, at which time most of the fluid was lost from the system. Henan Province, located in the North China Plain, as one of the most important grain production bases in China, is facing severe challenges of water pressure and sustainable development caused by agricultural production. In this study, water footprint (WF) estimation and sustainability assessment of crop production were carried out for wheat and maize, two major crops in the Henan Province. Based on a set of global WF benchmark values for various crops which were established by previous studies, we calculated a set of benchmark values of blue water footprint (BWF, surface water, and groundwater) for major crops in Henan Province. Four benchmark values were calculated for each crop, and we selected two of them as the optimal and sub-optimal benchmark levels. Additionally, potential blue water savings were estimated by reducing the crop-specific BWF to different benchmark levels. According to our simulations with CROPWAT 8.0, the average annual blue water footprint of wheat production in Henan Province from 2006 to 2016 was 7914 Million m3, of which about 77% is unsustainable, and that of maize production is 703 Million m3, of which about 70% is unsustainable. When reducing the water footprint of wheat production to optimal or sub-optimal benchmark levels, approximately 2742 Million m3 or 375 Million m3 blue water can be saved, and reducing that of maize production to optimal or sub-optimal benchmark levels could save approximately 214 Million m3 or 44 Million m3 blue water. The collection of traditional administrative unit-based gross domestic product (GDP) data is time-consuming and laborious, and the data lacks accurate spatial information. Long-term series nighttime light (NTL) data can provide effective spatiotemporal GDP change information, which can be used to analyze economies' spatial distributions and development trends. In this study, we generated a spatial model of the relationship between NTL indices and GDP parameters, based on NPP-VIIRS-like NTL data for the period 2001 to 2020, conducted a multitemporal and multilevel connectivity analysis of the GDP spatialization data, and constructed a tree structure for horizontal and vertical analysis. Standard deviation ellipses and economic centers of the first-level economic connected components at the provincial and municipal levels were generated, and the economic center distribution range and development direction at the provincial and municipal levels were analyzed. The results show that GDP spatialization data, based on NPP-VIIRS-like NTL data, can intuitively reflect the GDP spatial distribution. In Henan Province, the economic levels of different regions vary, and the economic regions represented by Zhengzhou have developed rapidly, driving surrounding regional economic rapid development. Water resources carrying capacity (WRCC) modelling is a fundamental task to explore the interaction mechanism between economy-ecology development and water resources carrying system. To reasonably quantify the regional WRCC, an evaluation method based on Water-economy-ecology (WEE) concept framework and EFAST-Cloud model is proposed in this study, and Henan Province of China is selected as a typical study area. It can both identify the inter-feeding relationships between sub-systems and evaluate the proportion of each grade in detail by reflecting the randomness and fuzziness of the evaluation. A total of 15 indicators including water system, economy system, and ecology system are constructed. The study analyzes the sensitivity of indicators by using Simlab software and then calculates the weight of indicators by using EFAST method. Compared with other traditional methods, EFAST algorithm is a special method for model sensitivity analysis, which can fully consider the coupling effect between indicators. According to the statistical data of 2010, 2015, and 2020, the WRCC at the watershed scale and municipal scale in Henan Province are evaluated through the EFAST-Cloud model. At the watershed scale, the ecology system criterion layer performs best over the multiple years, the Huaihe and Yangtze River basin have better WRCC at the target layer. At the municipal scale, Xuchang, Luohe, and Zhumadian have better WRCC, Puyang, Zhoukou, and Jiaozuo are slightly worse. The results show that WRCC of the study area has shown an overall improvement, but there is still much space for its development. Therefore, targeted recommendations are made for the water, economy, and ecology system respectively. Land surface temperature (LST) is a key parameter closely related to various land surface processes and surface-atmosphere interactions. Analysis of spatiotemporal variation of time-series LST may provide useful information to understand eco-climatic characteristics. In this study, the spatiotemporal pattern of LST and its trend characteristics in Henan Province were examined based on MODIS LST products from 2003 to 2021. In addition, the influences of land cover types, Nighttime Light data (NTL) and Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI) on LST variation were analyzed. The results indicated that: (i) The LST showed slight and rapid decreasing trend for 2004–2010 and 2018–2020, respectively, whereas an obvious increasing and slight increasing trend occurred for 2010–2013 and 2014–2018. In terms of spatial pattern, high-temperature, and sub-high-temperature were mainly distributed in the central part of the province with higher level of industrialization and urbanization at the annual, spring, summer, and daytime scales. While in fall, winter, and the nighttime, the spatial distribution of LST exhibited decreased trend from the southern part to the northern part of the province, the largest Standard Deviation (STD) was observed in summer. (ii) The interannual variation rate of LST was 0.08 °C/Y. The increasing trend mainly occurred in urban and built-up areas. At the seasonal scales, the rising rate decreased sequentially in the order of fall, winter, spring, and summer. In addition, the rising rate in the daytime was higher than that in the nighttime. (iii) LST increased along with the expansion of urban and built-up lands, except in winter. At the annual scales, 84.69% of areas with NTL data exhibited a positive correlation with LST, and NDMI in the western part with high elevation presented a significantly positive correlation to LST, while a significantly negative correlation occurred in urban and built-up areas. The cooling effect of NDMI on LST in the daytime was greater than that in the nighttime. In cropland areas, LST showed a non-significant correlation with NDMI at the annual scale, and a significantly negative correlation with NDMI in spring, summer, and fall. The influence mechanism of cropland on the variation of LST at different timescales needs to be further explored. A sustainable growth of grain outputs mainly relies on improving output per unit area through scientific and technological innovation. From the perspective of scientific and technological innovation, taking the grain production process as the research object, a systems model of scientific and technological innovation in grain production is constructed based on the relevant data of Henan Province from 2010 to 2019. Firstly, the internal mechanism of grain production scientific and technological innovation is explored, and the feedback loop of grain production scientific and technological innovation is then established. Secondly, system dynamics and grey system theory are combined to construct table functions and logistic functions to establish the grain production scientific and technological innovation system model. Through testing the model, the stability and feasibility of the model are demonstrated, and the simulation and prediction of the innovation system of grain production scientific and technological in Henan Province are carried out. Thirdly, in order to explore the impact of feasible policy schemes on grain production, seven policy plans are designed to simulate grain production policy scenarios from the perspective of scientific and technological innovation. The results show that: (1) The adjustment of individual policies, especially the adjustment of the protection policy of scientific and technological innovation in grain production or the subsidy policy of agricultural materials, has a weak influence on the improvement of grain output. The progress of agricultural technology is the main support for improving the comprehensive grain production capacity. (2) The future grain growth potential of Henan Province should focus on increasing the yield per unit area, and the protection of cultivated land resources should not be ignored. (3) The combination of policies has mutually reinforcing effect, which leads to an ideal system simulation effect. Finally, from the perspective of the composition of scientific and technological innovation system in Henan Province, this study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the implementation of the strategy of "storing grain in technology" in Henan Province. Two catastrophic extreme precipitation events in July 2021 and August 1975 caused tremendous damages and deaths in Henan, one of the most populated provinces in China. Revealing the relationship between large‐scale circulation patterns and precipitation extremes is vital for understanding the physical mechanisms and providing potential value for improving prediction and hence reducing impacts. Here, nine large‐scale circulation patterns are identified for July–August using the self‐organizing map. We find daily precipitation extremes under the fifth pattern (P5), characterized with the strongest easterly wind anomalies in Henan, feature the highest frequency and the largest intensity. Seven out of total 11 days in the two catastrophic extreme precipitation events belong to P5, and the top two maximum hourly precipitation extremes over continental China occurred under P5. The larger intensity of precipitation extremes is attributed to the dynamical contribution, suggesting more‐intense precipitation extremes under P5 are largely dominated by stronger ascending motions. Plain Language Summary: Henan is one of the most populated provinces in China. Two catastrophic extreme precipitation events in July 2021 and August 1975 caused devastating catastrophes, such as flooding and urban waterlogging, which resulted in widespread impacts on agricultural production, human livelihood, and economic development. Small Shelly Fossils (SSFs) from the Cambrian are widely distributed and well known across different paleocontinents of the world. However, middle Cambrian SSFs from North China Platform have only rarely been documented until now. In this paper, we presented the first report on SSFs from bioclastic and oolitic limestones of the Zhangxia and Hsuzhuang formations of Henan province, North China. The carbonate-hosted fauna includes brachiopods (Micromitra sp., M. modesta, Eoobolus sp., and Schizopholis sp.), helcionellids (Oelandiellaaccordionata and O. aliciae), hyolithids, Hyolithellus sp., Chancelloriaeros, sponge spicules, echinoderm ossicles, and chancelloriid sclerites. In terms of preservation, the brachiopod shell valves of M. modesta appeared to be homogeneous, consisting of tightly packed phosphate grains. Eoobolus sp. is composed of primary layer and secondary baculate, both of which consist of tightly compacted phosphate grains. Schizopholis sp. has multiple-lamellar phosphatized microstructures that distinctly differ from the other brachiopods recovered from the Longwanggou section. A similar multiple-lamellar microstructure was also revealed in conchs of Hyolithellus, with tightly compacted phosphate grains. The argillaceous shell of Oelandiellaaccordionata and O. aliciae, and the calcitic inner molds of hyolith did not preserve any shell structure. The helcionellids O. accordionata and O. aliciae and the brachiopod M. modesta were reported for the first time from North China. The fauna is most similar to the middle Cambrian faunas of Australia, in the brachiopod and mollusk components; it is also similar in composition of brachiopods and mollusks to coeval faunas from South China. The new fauna of SSFs in the Yiyang Longwanggou Section indicated that the Hsuzhuang and Zhangxia formations are late Drumian to middle Guzhuangian in age, most likely correlating with the Murrawong Creek Formation of Australia. Continuous rain disasters occur frequently, which seriously affect maize yield. However, the research on predicting continuous rain disasters is very limited. Taking the maize in Henan Province as an example, the Markov model is used to predict the occurrence of continuous rain in the middle growth and late growth stages (flowering and filling stages) of 13 cities in Henan Province. The results showed that the maize in Henan Province would suffer from continuous rain disaster in 2020 and 2021. Geological environment is a resource base, environmental base, and engineering base for human socioeconomic activities. The main function of the geological environment is to provide stable and safe living space and essential resources for the existence and development of human society. However, geological environmental problems become increasingly prominent in some provinces in China due to fragility of the geological environment, uneven population distribution, backward economic development, and massive construction projects. The function of geological environments in some provinces to support sustainable economic and social development is evidently insufficient, and the threshold values of their geological environmental bearing capacity nearly reach the upper limit. For example, Henan Province, China, an evaluation index system for geological environmental bearing capacity, was established from three aspects, as follows: natural hazard, geological disaster, and disaster control. The weights of evaluation indexes were calculated using the variation coefficient method. Finally, the geological environmental bearing capacity of Henan Province during 2010-2018 was measured through the comprehensive evaluation method. Results showed that the constructed evaluation index system for geological environmental bearing capacity, which consisted of 34 indexes, was scientific and reasonable. During 2010-2018, the geological environmental bearing capacity of Henan Province was superior or excellent. Geological environmental bearing capacity can be improved by reinforcing the construction of legal rules and laws for geological environmental protection, carrying out research work regarding geological environmental bearing capacity, launching geological environmental monitoring and early warning system construction, and implementing feasibility demonstration for the geological environment of major construction projects. The study results can provide practical guidance and reference to realize the predictive analysis of geological environmental bearing capacity and coordinate human socioeconomic activities and geological environment. Background: Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the pathogen of porcine circovirus associated diseases (PCVAD) and one of the main pathogens in the global pig industry, which has brought huge economic losses to the pig industry. In recent years, there has been limited research on the prevalence of PCV2 in Henan Province. This study investigated the genotype and evolution of PCV2 in this area. Results: We collected 117 clinical samples from different regions of Henan Province from 2015 to 2018. Here, we found that the PCV2 infection rate of PCV2 was 62.4%. Thirty-seven positive clinical samples were selected to amplify the complete genome of PCV2 and were sequenced. Based on the phylogenetic analysis of PCV2 ORF2 and complete genome, it was found that the 37 newly detected strains belonged to PCV2a (3 of 37), PCV2b (21 of 37) and PCV2d (13 of 37), indicating the predominant prevalence of PCV2b and PCV2d strains. In addition, we compared the amino acid sequences and found several amino acid mutation sites among different genotypes. Furthermore, the results of selective pressure analysis showed that there were 5 positive selection sites. The atrypide brachiopod Rongatrypa Popov & Cocks, 2014 is one of the early members of the subfamily Clintonellinae. This genus was previously known only from the Kazakh terranes. Here, we reassign a species to the genus, Rongatrypa xichuanensis (Xu, 1996), from the Shiyanhe Formation (Katian, Upper Ordovician) of Xichuan, Henan Province, central China. A wide range of shell sizes was found and measured to investigate the ontogeny of the species, and several specimens were selected for serial sectioning to examine the internal morphology. The linear regression results of natural logarithms of length vs. width and depth vs. width revealed an allometric growth pattern, perhaps influenced by the development of the lophophore. Rongatrypa xichuanensis inhabited a shallow marine oxygenated environment in the South China palaeoplate near the palaeo-equator. The distribution of Rongatrypa across South China and Kazakh terranes reflects the proximity of these blocks in the Late Ordovician. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Risk analysis using climate-induced yield losses (CIYL) extracted from long-term yield data have been recognized in China, but the research focusing on the time-series characteristics of risk and the circulation signals behind yield losses still remains incomplete. To address these challenges, a case study on winter wheat production in Henan province, north China was conducted by using annual series of yield in 17 cities during 1988–2017 and monthly series of 15 types of large-scale oceanic-atmospheric circulation indices (LOACI). A comprehensive risk assessment method was established by combining the intensity, frequency, and variability of CIYL and principal component analysis (PCA). The results showed that the westernmost Henan was identified as the area of higher-risk. PCA and Mann–Kendall trend tests indicated that the southern, northern, eastern, and western areas in Henan province were classified as having different annual CIYL variations in these four sub-regions; the decreasing trend of CIYL in northern area was the most notable. Since the 2000s, a significant decline in CIYL was found in each sub-region. It should be noted that the key LOACI, which includes Tropical Northern Atlantic Index (TNA), Western Hemisphere warm pool (WHWP), and Southern oscillation index (SOI), indicated significant CIYL anomalies in some months. Furthermore, the regional yield simulation results using linear regression for the independent variables of year and various LOACI were satisfactory, with the average relative error ranging from 3.48% to 6.87%. The tourism comprehensive climate comfort index (TCCI) was used to evaluate the tourism climate comfort in Henan Province in the last 61 years, and its future development trend is predicted. The results showed that the temporal variation of the TCCI had a "double peak" type (monthly variation), and an overall comfort improvement trend (interannual variation). The change of tourism climate comfort days was similar to the change of the index, especially in the months with a low comfort level. In space, the distribution of the TCCI gradually increased from northeast to southwest, and the area with a high comfort level also increased over time. Meanwhile, it also showed the spatial distribution of months with a low comfort level, which provides reliable information for tourists to use when choosing tourist destinations across all periods of the year. The TCCI was classified by hierarchical classification, and principal components were extracted to explore the main climate factors controlling different types of TCCIs and the relationship between them, and large-scale atmospheric–oceanic variability. According to the temporal change trend and correlation, the long-term change trend of tourism climate comfort was predicted, which will provide a scientific basis for tourism planners to choose tourist destinations.
