In this paper, we study the fractional Schrödinger-Poisson system

To study the effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of a sand-structure interface, a temperature-controlled interface shear test system based on a triaxial instrument was developed by placing a cylindrical structure inside a triaxial soil sample and connecting them to two individual thermostat water baths. Sand-aluminum interface shear tests under effective cell pressures of 50,100, and 200 kPa and temperatures of 6,19, 32, and 45 [degrees]C were carried out to evaluate the thermal effects on the interface strength under drained conditions. Constant vertical force-stiffness coupled with a thermal load applied to the aluminum top before the interface shearing was also considered. The results show that the new apparatus can serve a variety of thermomechanical load paths, including maintaining a constant rate of displacement and a constant vertical force-stiffness on the structure top prior to the shearing process. The apparatus also has advantages over other interface shear devices in controlling drainage conditions and measurement of volume change and excess pore pressure. A comparison with the previous literature on interface shear strength verifies the results in this study. Different thermomechanical load paths applied on the interface supplement the insignificant thermal effect on the sand-aluminum interface shear strength. However, it is the first time that the displacement of the aluminum is observed to be related to thermal variations and independent of the magnitude of the vertical force. Resume : Pour etudier l'effet de la temperature sur les proprietes mecaniques d'une interface sable-structure, un systeme d'essai de cisaillement d'interface a temperature controlee base sur un instrument triaxial a ete developpe en placant une structure cylindrique a l'interieur d'un echantillon de sol triaxial et en les reliant a deux bains d'eau thermostates individuels. Des essais de cisaillement de l'interface sable-aluminium sous des pressions cellulaires efficaces de 50,100 et 200 kPa et des temperatures de 6,19, 32 et 45 [degrees]C ont ete effectues pour evaluer les effets thermiques sur la resistance de l'interface dans des conditions de drainage. Une force-rigidite verticale constante couplee a une charge thermique appliquee au sommet de l'aluminium avant le cisaillement de l'interface a egalement ete prise en compte. Les resultats montrent que le nouvel appareil peut servir une variete de chemins de charge thermomecanique, y compris le maintien d'un taux de deplacement constant et d'une force-rigidite verticale constante sur le sommet de la structure avant le processus de cisaillement. L'appareil presente egalement des avantages par rapport a d'autres dispositifs de cisaillement d'interface pour le controle des conditions de drainage et la mesure du changement de volume et de la surpression des pores. Une comparaison avec la litterature precedente sur la resistance au cisaillement de l'interface permet de verifier les resultats de cette etude. Differents chemins de charge thermomecaniques appliques sur l'interface completent l'effet thermique negligeable sur la resistance au cisaillement de l'interface sable-aluminium. Cependant, pour la premiere fois, le deplacement de l'aluminium est observe en relation avec les variations thermiques et independamment de l'ampleur de la force verticale. Graphene quantum dots are quasi-zero-dimensional nanomaterials with unique physical and chemical properties. This study utilized a terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy system to analyze the absorption characteristics of THz-waves by graphene quantum dots at different concentrations. Additionally, we applied electric fields and magnetic field to explore the THz-wave absorption properties of graphene quantum dots in greater detail. The results indicate that the THz absorbance of graphene quantum dots is positively correlated with sample concentration and applied electric field strength. However, it is negatively correlated with the intensity of the applied magnetic field. This work combines THz technology and microfluidic devices to propose a viable methodology for conducting in-depth study on graphene quantum dots. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Multi-scale coherent structures have been observed in ocean currents, which are induced by the interaction of shear flows with different velocities. Understanding the spatial configuration and scale characteristics of coherent structures will promote the explanation of physical ocean phenomena. Considering the self-similarity, we propose a spatial correlation identification model for coherent structure extraction and three-dimensional visualization based on the wavelet transform and time-dependent intrinsic correlation method. The spatial and scale distributions of coherent structures are related to the dissipation rate variation. Most large-scale coherent structures, with the largest length scale of 13 m, are found to exist in stable fluid, such as the water column below 50 m. However, small-scale structures are found in chaotic fluids, such as the upper layer. Furthermore, we found that coherent structures of different scales coexist simultaneously in the same depth range, indicating a simultaneous multi-scale structure pattern for turbulent flow investigations. We report a case of Klebsiella pneumoniae invasive liver abscess syndrome (KPILAS) with endophthalmitis-caused blindness as the first symptom after enema. The patient had diabetes, and his blood glucose was poorly controlled. She developed hematuria after four enemas for cosmetic purposes and later became blind. The eye discharge was cultured, which revealed a Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. B ultrasound did not show liver lesions, but computed tomography exhibited abscesses in the right lobe of the liver. Magnetic resonance imaging of the head indicated abscesses. These confirmed the diagnosis of invasive liver abscess syndrome. The patient was given ophthalmic and systemic anti-infection treatments, and her condition was effectively controlled. Unfortunately, the diseased eye still needed to be removed. This case underlines the necessity of avoiding unnecessary risky procedures (such as enemas) in vulnerable populations, the importance of early detection of invasive liver abscess syndrome, and the advantage of computed tomography in detecting liver abscesses. This paper first introduces the background of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, and then analyzes the current status of the participation of Chinese business schools in AACSB accreditation. Based on the data analysis, the paper points out that there are two main problems in the Chinese business schools AACSB accreditation: low participation rate and low success rate. The causes of these problems are concluded as language factor, standard factor as well as the misconception of the accreditation. Suggested solutions from the aspects of learning, communication, and ability enhance are given at the last part of the paper.
