It reports that Sap AG has begun construction of a research and development campus for 450 software developers in Shanghai, China. The facility will help the software vendor serve one of its fastest-growing markets. SAP said that more than 800 companies and multinational subsidiaries in China use its products. Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS) and Xerox Corp. last week jointly announced a S40 million contract to provide managed document services to nearly 200 of Barclays PLC's offices in Great Britain. The 66-month contract expands on a $350 million information technology services deal that EDS signed with London-based Barclays in June 2003.
