Because of the problems of low operation efficiency and poor energy management of multienergy input and output system with complex load demand and energy supply, this paper uses the double-layer nondominated sorting genetic algorithm to optimize the multienergy complementary microgrid system in real-time, allocating reasonably the output of each energy supply end and reducing the energy consumption of the system on the premise of meeting the demand of cooling, thermal and power load, so as to improve the economy of the whole system. According to the system load demand and operation mode, the first layer of this double-layer operation strategy calculates the power required by each node of the microgrid system to reduce the system loss. The second layer calculates the output of each equipment by using nondominated sorting genetic algorithm with various energy values calculated in the first layer as constraint conditions, considering the operation characteristics of various equipment and aiming at economy and environmental protection. In this paper, a typical model of energy input-output is established. This model combines with the operation control strategy suitable for multienergy complementary microgrid system, considers the operation mode and equipment characteristics of the system, and uses a double-layer nondominated sorting genetic algorithm to optimize the operation of each equipment in the multienergy complementary system in real time, so as to reduce the operation cost of the system. Full-waveform inversion is an important and widely used method to reconstruct subsurface velocity images. Waveform inversion is a typical nonlinear and ill-posed inverse problem. Existing physics-driven computational methods for solving waveform inversion suffer from the cycle-skipping and local-minima issues, and do not mention that solving waveform inversion is computationally expensive. In recent years, data-driven methods become a promising way to solve the waveform-inversion problem. However, most deep-learning frameworks suffer from the generalization and overfitting issue. In this article, we developed a real-time data-driven technique and we call it VelocityGAN, to reconstruct accurately the subsurface velocities. Our VelocityGAN is built on a generative adversarial network (GAN) and trained end to end to learn a mapping function from the raw seismic waveform data to the velocity image. Different from other encoder–decoder-based data-driven seismic waveform-inversion approaches, our VelocityGAN learns regularization from data and further imposes the regularization to the generator so that inversion accuracy is improved. We further develop a transfer-learning strategy based on VelocityGAN to alleviate the generalization issue. A series of experiments is conducted on the synthetic seismic reflection data to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and generalization of VelocityGAN. We not only compare it with the existing physics-driven approaches and data-driven frameworks but also conduct several transfer-learning experiments. Methylation of the O6-methylguanine methyltransferase (MGMT) gene promoter is correlated with the effectiveness of the current standard of care in glioblastoma patients. In this study, a deep learning pipeline is designed for automatic prediction of MGMT status in 87 glioblastoma patients with contrast-enhanced T1W images and 66 with fluid-attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR) images. The end-to-end pipeline completes both tumor segmentation and status classification. The better tumor segmentation performance comes from FLAIR images (Dice score, 0.897 ± 0.007) compared to contrast-enhanced T1WI (Dice score, 0.828 ± 0.108), and the better status prediction is also from the FLAIR images (accuracy, 0.827 ± 0.056 ; recall, 0.852 ± 0.080 ; precision, 0.821 ± 0.022 ; and F 1 score, 0.836 ± 0.072). This proposed pipeline not only saves the time in tumor annotation and avoids interrater variability in glioma segmentation but also achieves good prediction of MGMT methylation status. Understanding the biomolecular interactions in a specific organelle has been a long‐standing challenge because it requires super‐resolution imaging to resolve the spatial locations and dynamic interactions of multiple biomacromolecules. Two key difficulties are the scarcity of suitable probes for super‐resolution nanoscopy and the complications that arise from the use of multiple probes. Herein, we report a quinolinium derivative probe that is selectively enriched in mitochondria and switches on in three different fluorescence modes in response to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), proteins, and nucleic acids, enabling the visualization of mitochondrial nucleoprotein dynamics. STED nanoscopy reveals that the proteins localize at mitochondrial cristae and largely fuse with nucleic acids to form nucleoproteins, whereas increasing H2O2 level leads to disassociation of nucleic acid–protein complexes. Design and fabrication of photomechanical soft actuators has attracted intense scientific interest because of their potential in the manufacture of untethered intelligent soft robots and advanced functional devices. Trifunctional and monofunctional polymerizable molecular motors are judiciously designed and synthesized. Novel light‐driven liquid crystalline networks (LCN) are prepared by crosslinking overcrowded‐alkene‐based molecular motors with different degrees of freedom into the anisotropic LCN. The photoisomerization and thermal helix inversion of light‐driven molecular motors are reversible when only the upper part of the molecular motor is linked to the network, endowing the LCN film with remarkable photoactive performance. However, photochemical geometric change of the light‐driven molecular motor does not work after crosslinking both the upper and lower part of the motor by polymer chains. Interestingly, it is found that the fastened motor can transfer the light energy into localized heat instead of performing photoisomerization. The light‐driven molecular‐motor‐based LCN soft actuators are demonstrated to function as a grasping hand, where the continuous motions of grasping, moving, lifting, and releasing an object are successfully achieved. This work may provide inspiration to the preparation of next‐generation photoactive advanced functional materials toward their wide applications in the areas of photonics, optoelectronics, soft robotics, and beyond. The development of powerful and general methods to acquire ubiquitin (Ub) chains has prompted the deciphering of Ub‐mediated processes. Herein, the cysteine‐aminoethylation assisted chemical ubiquitination (CAACU) strategy is extended and improved to enable the efficient semi‐synthesis of atypical Ub chain analogues and Ub‐based probes. Combining the Cys aminoethylation and the auxiliary‐mediated protein ligation, several linkage‐ and length‐defined atypical Ub chains including di‐Ubs, K27C‐linked tri‐Ub, K11/K48C‐branched tri‐Ub, and even the SUMOlated Ub are successfully prepared from recombinantly expressed starting materials at about a 9–20 mg L−1 expression level. In addition, the utility of this strategy is demonstrated with the synthesis of a novel non‐hydrolyzable di‐Ub PA probe, which may provide a new useful tool for the mechanistic studies of deubiquitinase (DUB) recognition. E3 ligases play a critical role in ubiquitin (Ub) conjugation cascades, and any aberration in their activity is associated with a number of diseases. Advancement in our knowledge of understanding the roles of HECT E3s requires biochemical tools such as activity-based probes (ABPs). In this study we developed a novel dehydroalanine (Dha)-based E2-Ub ABP using a strategy that is a combination of practical hydrazide-based native chemical ligation and sequential Dha formation. The probe could be used for labeling HECT E3s not only in vitro but also in endogenous cellular contexts. The dynamics of DNA and RNA structures in live cells are important for understanding cell behaviors, such as transcription activity, protein expression, cell apoptosis, and hereditary disease, but are challenging to monitor in live organisms in real time. The difficulty is largely due to the lack of photostable imaging probes that can distinguish between DNA and RNA, and more importantly, are capable of crossing multiple membrane barriers ranging from the cell/organelle to the tissue/organ level. We report the discovery of a cationic carbon quantum dot (cQD) probe that emits spectrally distinguishable fluorescence upon binding with double‐stranded DNA and single‐stranded RNA in live cells, thereby enabling real‐time monitoring of DNA and RNA localization and motion. A surprising finding is that the probe can penetrate through various types of biological barriers in vitro and in vivo. Combined with standard and super‐resolution microscopy, photostable cQDs allow time‐lapse imaging of chromatin and nucleoli during cell division and Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) growth. Enzyme activity in live cells is dynamically regulated by small‐molecule transmitters for maintaining normal physiological functions. A few probes have been devised to measure intracellular enzyme activities by fluorescent imaging, but the study of the regulation of enzyme activity via gasotransmitters in situ remains a long‐standing challenge. Herein, we report a three‐channel imaging correlation by a single dual‐reactive fluorescent probe to measure the dependence of phosphatase activity on the H2S level in cells. The two sites of the probe reactive to H2S and phosphatase individually produce blue and green fluorescent responses, respectively, and resonance energy transfer can be triggered by their coexistence. Fluorescent analysis based on the three‐channel imaging correlation shows that cells have an ideal level of H2S to promote phosphatase activity up to its maximum. Significantly, a slight deviation from this H2S level leads to a sharp decrease of phosphatase activity. The discovery further strengthens our understanding of the importance of H2S in cellular signaling and in various human diseases. A numerical multiscale model is used to resolve the high computation complexity in the ac loss calculation of large-scale superconducting devices and proves advantageous with regard to time and memory requirements. In the multiscale model, the background field estimation method is of crucial importance to the calculation accuracy. In this paper, we propose four new background field estimation methods, including the Jacobi Gauss–Seidel hybrid and iteration methods, to improve the accuracy and expand the application scope of the multiscale model. A high temperature superconducting solenoid magnet is used to test the performance of these four methods and the results are compared with those of the H-formulation reference model and the multiscale model with a J0 uniform background field estimation method. Results show that in the 19 A/50 Hz ac transport current test case: the Jacobi Gauss– hybrid and iteration methods reduce the error of the ac loss mean value/peak value to 7.88%/5.89%, 5.71%/2.4%, 3.22%/1.22%, and 1.83%/0.69% with the total time cost reduced by 15.7, 8.9, 13.5, and 7.8 times. The multiscale model is expected to achieve even higher accuracy in applications where the ac loss is relatively small due to its coincidence property. The greatly improved accuracy makes the multiscale model a reliable substitute for the H-formulation model. In addition, the idea of iteration and back substitution in background field correction widely expands the application scope of the multiscale model. Alternative background field estimation methods allow the multiscale model to be applied flexibly according to the requirement of the calculation speed and accuracy. The feature of small degrees of freedom resolves the high computation complexity of the ac loss calculation model and reduces the memory requirement. The calculation of ac loss is an essential part in the thermal stability estimation of the high-temperature superconductor (HTS) superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES). In this paper, we propose an artificial neural network (ANN) prediction model to calculate the ac loss in real-time and apply the ANN prediction model to a 150 kJ self-made HTS SMES. The ANN prediction model is composed of a multi-scale model and an ANN. An ac loss data set calculated with the multi-scale model is used to train the ANN, and a validation data set is used to test the accuracy of the ANN after training. By comparing with the homogenization model, we find that the multi-scale model is reliable when used for ac loss calculation and suitable for building ac loss data set due to its high calculation speed. The ANN prediction model is verified to be reliable for fast estimation of the ac loss, and its accuracy improves as the scale of the training data set increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) are considered as one of the most promising technologies to limit fault current levels, as they can suppress fault currents without adding impedance to the circuit during normal operation. In this paper, a flux-coupling-type SFCL (FC-SFCL) based on disconnecting coupling windings for current reduction is considered as a potential scheme to limit fault currents due to its low steady impedance before a fault and higher current-limiting impedance after a fault. Three types of winding methods of the FC-SFCL are introduced and the main parameters are discussed, along with the voltage distribution of the coils. Based on these, the optimal winding structure is determined, a small-scale test prototype is designed and fabricated, and a series of experimental tests is conducted. From the demonstrated experimental results, the FC-SFCL prototype is able to effectively suppress the fault current’s steady value to a lower level, and it has good performance in terms of current reduction. An average power of 3 W green picosecond laser at a pulse repetition frequency of 1 kHz was reported. At the Shanghai satellite laser ranging (SLR) station, many satellites were measured with this laser and a narrow spectrum filter in the daytime. Satellites of the Beidou satellite navigation system for the Chinese, Global navigation satellite system for the Russian and Galileo satellite navigation system for the Europe were measured respectively. Especially ranging precision root mean square was up to 19.4 mm for the satellite of compassi5 about 37,000 km far from the earth. A Nd:YVO 4 mode-locked laser with an etalon, a dual-length of Nd:YAG regenerative amplification cavity, single-pass two Nd:YAG modules amplifier and nonlinear optical materials LiB 3 O 5 frequency doubling were designed. An average power of 3 W in 532 nm was obtained with pulse width of 30 ps, and angle of divergence was 0.8 mrad. Using the dual-length of regenerative cavity would greatly decrease the laser's volume and improve stability of picosecond laser. A narrow spectrum filter can reduce a lot of optics noise from the sun, and so all the satellites were almost be measured with this laser in the daytime at the Shanghai SLR station. Carbon dots (CDs) prepared by the crosslinking and carbonization reaction between the carboxyl and amino groups of organic molecules have the characteristics of high fluorescence quantum yield and tunable emission colors, enabling their wide use in chemical sensing and bioimaging. However, straight-chain organic amines are mostly used in the preparation of carbon dots. Here, we chose cyclen that contained an azamacrocyclic ring and citric acid to synthesize bright blue-emitting fluorescent CDs by the microwave method. Under 750 W microwave irradiation, the condensation–crosslinking–carbonization process can be completed within 5 minutes with a quantum yield of up to 27.6%. Taking the advantage of using cyclen, the resulting CDs still have a ring-like structure on the surface, and thus can coordinate with Eu3+ ions to construct a ratiometric fluorescent probe for tetracycline detection. When tetracycline is present in the detection system, a CD–Eu3+–tetracycline ternary complex is formed and generates an intense red emission of Eu3+. Meanwhile, the blue emission of the CDs remains unchanged, realizing accurate tetracycline detection by recording the red to blue emission ratio. Besides, the output color changes from blue to red upon increasing the concentration of tetracycline. Primary alkylamines are generally used as ligands for the synthesis of colloidal II–VI group quantum dots (QDs). However, knowledge of the effects of these ligands on the nanocrystalline structure in the literature is scarce and often contradictory. Herein, the structural evolution of CdSe QDs synthesized with primary alkylamines of different chain lengths and concentrations and at various reaction temperatures has been investigated. Absorption spectroscopy, XRD, HRTEM and Fourier transform imaging were applied to characterize the structure of the CdSe QDs. The results demonstrate that CdSe QDs preferentially form the wurtzite structure with shorter-chain and higher-concentration primary alkylamines at higher reaction temperatures. In contrast, the zinc blende structure is formed in the presence of longer-chain and lower-concentration primary alkylamines at lower reaction temperatures. Fluorescent paper sensors are widely used in the assays of environment, food and medicine; however, their applications usually have been limited due to the narrow color-change range and insensitivity of the color variation to dosage of target analytes. In this paper, we report a ratiometric fluorescent probe-based paper sensor regulated by the optimum proportion of gold nanoclusters stabilized by bovine serum albumin and fluorescent graphene oxide to achieve the maximum consecutive color change for visual determination of glucose in human serum. The oxidation of hydrogen peroxide produced by glucose quenches the red fluorescence emission of gold nanoclusters and unveils a consecutive color change from pink to blue with the corresponding dosage of glucose. This colorimetric paper sensor printed with the probe ink exhibits a dosage-sensitive allochromatic capability for the blood glucose concentration of 4–10 mM in human serum (normal concentration: 4.4–6.6 mM). Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a key signaling molecule in the cytoprotection, vascular mediation and neurotransmission of living organisms. In-depth understanding of its production, trafficking, and transformation in cells is very important in the way H2S mediates cellular signal transductions and organism functions; it also motivates the development of H2S probes and imaging technologies. A fundamental challenge, however, is how to engineer probes with sensitivity and cellular penetrability that allow detection of spontaneous production of H2S in the entire cell space and live animals. Here, we report a rationally designed molecular switch capable of accessing all intracellular compartments, including the nucleus, lysosomes and mitochondria, for H2S detection. Our probe comprised three functional domains (H2S sensing, fluorescence, and biomembrane penetration), could enter almost all cell types readily, and exhibit a rapid and ultrasensitive response to H2S (≤120-fold fluorescence enhancement) for the dynamic mapping of spontaneously produced H2S as well as its distribution in the whole cell. In particular, the probe traversed blood/tissue/cell barriers to achieve mapping of endogenous H2S in metabolic organs of a live Danio rerio (zebrafish). To obtain size distribution of nanoparticles, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) have been widely adopted, but manual measurement of statistical size distributions from the SEM or TEM images is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Therefore, automatic detection methods are desirable. This paper proposes an automatic image processing algorithm which is mainly based on local adaptive Canny edge detection and modified circular Hough transform. The proposed algorithm can utilize the local thresholds to detect particles from the images with different degrees of complexity. Compared with the results produced by applying global thresholds, our algorithm performs much better. The robustness and reliability of this method have been verified by comparing its results with manual measurement, and an excellent agreement has been found. One level rotor-blade is considered as a research object on the basis of the Kinematic hardening plastic constitutive model, using the ANSYS / LS- DYNA software to simulate the shock from each one of ten balls and sands of different sizes and speed respectively. The impact of the relative kinetic energy, size of steel ball and sand shock on the size and shape of shock gap are analyzed carefully A detailed comparison on the impact of the gap is made to or ball and its rough size that may be initially determined by characteristic of shock gap. The MJ-class superconducting magnetic energy storage system (SMES) is most likely put into commercial utility applications. In China, several 1–100-MJ-class high-temperature superconducting (HTS) SMES projects are undergoing preresearch and conceptual design stage by the government and the power grid corporations, and these SMESs will be developed later. The configurations of commonly used SMES magnets are single-solenoid, multiple-solenoid, and toroidal magnets. Each configuration has its own electromagnetic and mechanical characteristics. In this paper, an optimal design and comparison were carried out to explore the suitable configuration for the MJ-class SMES magnet. As the critical current of the conductor is strongly influenced by the magnetic field and its applied direction, optimization of the HTS coil's configuration is required to minimize the length of the HTS wire. The optimization was conducted with the genetic algorithm and the finite-element method. In order to find the dependence of energy storage capacity on the wire cost, the magnet schemes of seven energy requirements were investigated. An optimal design is performed for the seven stored energies with the three types of magnet configurations. The comparisons between single-solenoid, four-solenoid, and toroidal coils are presented. Purpose: To investigate the value of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) for monitoring the ultra-early (within 24 hours) treatment effect of sorafenib in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) xenografts.Materials and Methods: With institutional Animal Care and Use Committee approval, 16 BALB/c nude mice bearing subcutaneous HCC xenografts underwent serial Gaussian and non-Gaussian DWI at baseline and 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours posttreatment using a 1.5T whole-body MRI system. Gaussian-DWI-derived apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), D, D*, and f, and non-Gaussian-DWI-derived MD, MK, DDC, and α were calculated and compared between the control (n = 6) and sorafenib-treated groups (n = 10) with respect to each timepoint using Mann-Whitney or Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results were validated by pathology.Results: Compared to baseline, ADC and D at 1 hour posttreatment (P = 0.005 and P = 0.013, respectively) and MD and DDC at 3 hours posttreatment (P = 0.009 and P = 0.005, respectively) significantly decreased and remained lower through 12 hours of follow-up (P = 0.005-0.022), followed by recovery to baseline levels at 24 hours posttreatment (P = 0.139-0.646). MK significantly increased at 1 hour posttreatment (P = 0.013) and remained higher through 24 hours of follow-up (P = 0.009-0.028). No significant differences were found in D*, f, and α at different timepoints (P = 0.188-0.714). Light microscopy did not reveal abnormal findings until 3 hours posttreatment, when central patchy necrosis was observed; more prominent diffuse necrosis was observed at 24 hours. Electron microscopy revealed swollen mitochondria at 1 hour posttreatment and accumulation of intracellular autophagosomes from 3 to 24 hours posttreatment.Conclusion: Multiparametric DWI might evaluate therapeutic effects of sorafenib in HCC, where metrics of ADC, D, and MK could potentially serve as imaging biomarkers for monitoring therapeutic effects as early as 1 hour after treatment. In the latest design studies of superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) systems, the emphasis was put on the electromagnetic design of SMES magnets without giving due attention to the electrical design with a view to eliminating the overvoltage problem. The power conditioning system (PCS) interfaces with the superconducting magnet and the ac system through an electrical connection. With a pulse-width modulation converter usually adopted in the PCS, the high-frequency overvoltage problem is even more serious. Therefore, electrical design based on voltage distribution analysis and protection measures should be taken into account during the SMES design. This paper first gives transient models of PCS, SMES, and the connecting cable in a systematic view. Later on, a design flow path containing both the electromagnetic design and the electrical design is presented. Parkinson's disease (PD) is a heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorder with variable clinicopathologic phenotypes and underlying neuropathologic mechanisms. Each clinical phenotype has a unique set of motor symptoms. Tremor is the most frequent initial motor symptom of PD and is the most difficult symptom to treat. The dentate nucleus (DN) is a deep iron-rich nucleus in the cerebellum and may be involved in PD tremor. In this study, we test the hypothesis that DN iron may be elevated in tremor-dominant PD patients using quantitative susceptibility mapping. Forty-three patients with PD [19 tremor dominant (TD)/24 akinetic rigidity (AR) dominant] and 48 healthy gender- and age-matched controls were recruited. Multi-echo gradient echo data were collected for each subject on a 3.0-T MR system. Inter-group susceptibility differences in the bilateral DN were investigated and correlations of clinical features with susceptibility were also examined. In contrast with the AR-dominant group, the TD group was found to have increased susceptibility in the bilateral DN when compared with healthy controls. In addition, susceptibility was positively correlated with tremor score in drug-naive PD patients. These findings indicate that iron load within the DN may make an important contribution to motor phenotypes in PD. Moreover, our results suggest that TD and AR-dominant phenotypes of PD can be differentiated on the basis of the susceptibility of the DN, at least at the group level. Cesium lead halide quantum dots (QDs) have tunable photoluminescence that is capable of covering the entire visible spectrum and have high quantum yields, which make them a new fluorescent materials for various applications. Here, the synthesis of CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I, or mixed Cl/Br and Br/I) QDs by direct ion reactions in ether solvents is reported, and for the first time the synergetic effects of solvent polarity and reaction temperature on the nucleation and growth of QDs are demonstrated. The use of solvent with a low polarity enables controlled growth of QDs, which facilitates the synthesis of high-quality CsPbX3 QDs with broadly tunable luminescence, narrow emission width, and high quantum yield. A QD white LED (WLED) is demonstrated by coating the highly fluorescent green-emissive CsPbBr3 QDs together with red phosphors on a blue InGaN chip, which presents excellent warm white light emission with a high rendering index of 93.2 and color temperature of 5447 K, suggesting the potential applications of highly fluorescent cesium lead halide perovskite QDs as an alternative color converter in the fabrication of WLEDs. Luminescent chemosensors for hydrogen sulphide (H2S) are of great interest because of the close association of H2S with our health. However, current probes for H2S detection have problems such as low sensitivity/selectivity, poor aqueous-solubility or interference from background fluorescence. This study reports an ultrasensitive and time-gated “switch on” probe for detection of H2S, and its application in test paper for visualization of exhaled H2S. The complex probe is synthesized with a luminescent Tb3+ centre and three ligands of azido (–N3) substituted pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, giving the probe high hydrophilicity and relatively fast reaction dynamics with H2S because there are three –N3 groups in each molecule. The introduced –N3 group as a strong electron-withdrawing moiety effectively changes the energy level of ligand via intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), and thus breaks the energy transferring from ligand to lanthanide ion, resulting in quenching of Tb3+ luminescence. On addition of H2S, the –N3 group can be reduced to an amine group to break the process of ICT, and the luminescence of Tb3+ is recovered at a nanomolar sensitivity level. With a long lifetime of luminescence of Tb3+ centre (1.9 ms), use of a time-gated technique effectively eliminates the background fluorescence by delaying fluorescence collection for 0.1 ms.
